Já usei bastante a FinchVPN. A velocidade sempre foi muito boa e tem vários servidores em diferentes locais do mundo, inclusive servidores para gamers. No site deles dá até para ver quantas pessoas estão conectadas em cada um e o preço (pelo menos na época) é bem acessível.
Edit: Fui dar uma olhada no site deles e vi que agora deram uma diminuída na quantidade e diversidade dos servidores. Nem tem mais servidor no Brasil, uma pena, antes tinha 2.
No. If they are blocking something then they are blocking it somewhere deep in the network. You need to get a VPN and a router. Setup the VPN on the router and that will get by their firewall. They may block VPNs in which case get FinchVPN. They have a bunch of options to obfuscate the VPN.

Yes, as I mentioned before, SSH or SSL tunnels do indeed work. I could make it work with FinchVPNs Android app, but I didn't find any solution that worked on my aging macbook running Lion. Stunnel is always crashing.
Torguard also has a good solution where they combine encrypted socks proxy with openvpn in their own app, I made it work on Windows, but on my macbook a newer OS is required :(

How did you test for data encryption algorithms and handshake algorithms? Did you use an existing tool or wrote you own tool?
There are a few strange entries like "SSL-128" (I guess it's just copy/paste error) and "AES-160". AES doesn't have keysize of 160-bits even though Rijndael had, I'd be suprised if any software could negotiate it - though the FinchVPN FAQ does mention "AES-160".
You would want to use a VPN. It encrypts all your traffic, so they can't see what you're looking at nor block what you want to look at. For mobile 'betternet' is a great free solution for both Android and iOS. For Android I personally use 'FinchVPN' it's free but limited, but you can choose the port you want to use.
Ive been using FinchVPN for awhile, about $1 a month, super fast, and has a really nice GUI. Server choices all over Asia Europe and US. Mostly I use it for torrenting and the speeds are always pretty high.
I'm also three months in with MIUI, and apart from the gesture system there's a lot of problems with it that I can remember from the top of my head. It had cool features, yes it does, but at the cost of being overall a super poorly optimized ROM, it breaks with the standard, Google ways of doing things, which makes apps break (top of my head: stack exchange, FinchVPN, Sprechmaschine...).
By the way it REMOVES important Android features. Like where the fuck did Xiaomi do that makes it impossible for me to use smart lock? That breaks so many things (body detection/always unlocked, unlock with voice, using Google Assistant with the screen locked, and so forth) since smart lock is part of Android.
In other words, it has nice features, bit noisy of the changes Xiaomi makes are pointless imho.
If wifi at your workplace (gomen), you can try just changing your DNS to 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8 (theres an app called DNS Changer), that will do the trick to open FB and ig.
If still can't, try VPN with port TCP 443 or UDP 53 (easy to setup if the vpn has its own app). As the other guys suggested, those VPN providers are great but a bit overkill/pricey if you just want to bypass FB and ig. There's FinchVPN with only RM17/month.

Depends on your OS. For Android you can use FinchVPN, it's available on the store and free with a limit of 3Gb/month, so i do recommend switching it on and off only to play FFBE.
There is some paid plan but heeeeh, already spent too much money for a game.
For the game costs, you should stick with free games so you don't get in any trouble.
For the network, talk to your networking guys and try to get it done right before hacking your way through. Really these two things will prevent you from getting in hot water with the admin. If you can't them to say yes and really think it'll be ok, you need to use a DPI aware ssl VPN like FinchVPN.
Just a disclaimer to those who are using Windscribe. It is a free VPN, and as such, you are basically the product. So, anything you do on there might have your data intercepted by then and sold to a third party. Be aware that you can watch TM and enjoy the football matches but don’t do anything else if you don’t want your data to be harvested.
I would recommend paid alternatives such as NordVPN, if you care about privacy, or PIA, if you don’t really care and just want something cheap. Other good alternatives that are quite good but can be pricey, are IPVanish, ExpressVPN, VyprVPN and TunnelBear. Local options are BolehVPN, and FinchVPN.

I used to use a VPN called FinchVPN. It costs like $40 a year but it could contact on like 20 different ports to servers all over and had options to connect through proxies or with really embedded packets. I never had a problem connectijg. Chack that out.

Server? If so, you need to port forward on a VPN service to allow it, afaik FinchVPN do have that feature, and R4WRVPN (HF product).
Your host will have VPN's IP and some VPN companies can be mad to this, I suggest you AirVPN which focuses to torrent, so you're more safer there.
Remember, if VPN goes down, your host will be down too, a VPN does protect you against DDOS (if not an international cyber attack).
Why do you need a VPN? Their IP can change frequently, maybe get your own IP on a specific country then? So you get a VPN with your unique IP on a specific country? Or?

They're based in Malaysia but with servers all over, if you want to pay. They claim to keep no logs etc, but who knows. It's easy to set up, windows or Linux, and quite cheap too.
They have a free service with servers mostly France, USA and Canada, but you only get 3gb a month.
(Psst.. some disposable email addresses work for the free service if you need more than 3gb a month, but if you like them, then why not pay!)
Is it a must to host on your own VPS than using a VPN company?
FinchVPN has an Android app that has Anti DPI function with TCP/UDP 80 and 443 pickable as a port to connect as.
Sadly its limited to android app (without root) their Windows/Mac GUI has no such feature.
As of authentication, it requires no certificate for it, try it and see if it does what you need, but like i said, for PC i got no solution other than for Android phone if u own.

About the same, it's certainly faster than a free VPN. I'm only paying $3.6 a month for that VPS, and I'd be paying a similar price for a paid VPN (except for maybe FinchVPN). Plus I get all kinds of other benefits from that VPS.

Usually they block ports, you have to try and see if it is ports.
Some are giving 1194 as standard and 443 for MOST compatible as 443 is port for SSL certificates, so 443 is HIGHLY unlike to be blocked.
Mostly VPN provide no these configurations or choices. I saw 1 app on android play store the vpn is named VyprVPN (i dont know if i spelled right) they got port function to choose (not alot but enough to see if its the case). VyprVPN looks epic, but very expensive.
Or for checking more ports, you can use FinchVPN, every month it gives 3gb free bandwidth which is enough to test out the available VPN protocols.
it could be maybe your router blocking VPN port? Try different vpns with more than 1 different VPN protocol (port) choice capability.
