What temperature is being read by this app? Are these CPU temps? I am not familiar with phone temp diagnostics and their normal values, but I am with PC temps.
It seems to be CPU temp from other apps I've tried? That can't possibly be a concerning level. I imagine it would be safe to run constantly well into the 130°F+ range, no?
Anyways I tested mine to compare to your levels. At 100% brightness, and using the stock wall charger I hover around 88°F CPU temp with an ambient room temp of ~74°F. This is with no other active apps and stock ROM/Kernal.
With AnTuTu Benchmark stress test running I stay around 105°F CPU and 100°F battery temps using Cpu Monitor to view the temps.
The most popular Android Benchmark is AnTuTu:

Obviously it is a separate app. My Aurora Play Store (from F-Droid) confirmed that it uses Google Play Services and has trackers built in, but that's the norm for something from Google Play.
I think, as you can probably see from their website, that you can compare your system's results with similar systems.
Hmm. My phone is fairly new - I might give the benchmark a run.
FYI everyone you can check if your phone or tablet is 64 bit or has intel by using this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.antutu.ABenchMark
Upon loading just hit my device and check the cpu section.
There's a couple ways to go about this so I'm not sure if this is the most efficient method.
Download Antutu benchmark: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.antutu.ABenchMark&hl=en
Run the benchmark and report the score you get. Then also go to the "Info" tab and take a screenshot of the basic info. Upload a screenshot of it to something like imgur and link here. It'll show us the specs as when I last checked about fake S6's Antutu doesn't get fooled. In case that it is somehow fooled by a fake, the score itself definitely cannot be faked and we can cross reference that with reported online benchmarks of the phone.
Edit: Sorry my initial link linked to the wrong app. its been fixed
Edit 2: In case anyone else reads this yes this is applicable to other phones. Fakes have their own OS developed by whoever made the fake. In the settings -> about phone the processor is sometimes listed there. Fakes will have the real processor model hard coded in there. If you run the benchmark and get like 50-60% of the score you're supposed to get, I would safely say it's a fake. Common benchmarks are Antutu and geekbench.
-I used Antutu Benchmark-
Model: Pine64 1GB
OS: Remix OS (20160415)
Cooler: No
microSD: Samsung 32GB EVO Plus (MB-MC32DA)
Power: Asus PSM06K-050Q (5.2v 1.35A)
Antutu Score: 22413
1. Use an app
You can either try AnTuTu Benchmark or AIDA64.
2. Check Android kernel version
Go to ‘Settings’ > ‘System’ and check ‘Kernel version’. If the code inside contains ‘x64′ string, your device has a 64-bit OS; if you cannot find this string, then is 32-bit.
Good to hear - I was thinking about this phone and wondering about the performance. Is there any way you could run Antutu and let me know the score you get?

It's not even really Android or Google's fault - it's the fault of shady app developers. This is a good thing. If you're skeptical of why an app would need phone/location/contacts/etc. permissions, you'd be right to deny the permissions and possibly question the integrity of the app itself.
A real example of this - Antutu Benchmark. It demanded certain permissions without any justification, and the app was hard-coded to refuse to run any benchmarks without them enabled. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.antutu.ABenchMark
And the existence second "app store" from the phone OEM is also itself asshole design.
Have you attempted to measure gains with a benchmark app?
I can't seem to find a dedicated VR benchmark app, but the gains should be seen with this app. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.antutu.ABenchMark&hl=en
Edit: Well found this 3d benchmark https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.antutu.benchmark.full&hl=en
Can anyone run some benchmarks on their phones with xposed installed? I used AnTuTu benchmark (with 3d) and Geekbench .

This phone has the elementalx kernel with the chili pepper mod, it has also been used for around 4 months and has around 140 apps on it. Just comment if you have any questions :D.
Edit: I also recommend minminguard for Xposed, its quite good for ad blocking :D ; if you are into adblocking here is one for youtube.

Benchmark maxes out your phone's resources, so by definition is the fastest/best you can do
Use a benchmark app that should tell you the make and model info to confirm if it's a fake or not.
Let's give this one a shot, antutu.
Not really, but those are retail. Do you want cheaper? Check out Sincere Podium, in Mong Kok, it's a shopping mall for cellphones & accessories.
Also out by the Golden Computer Arcade in Sham Shui Po, there are plenty of people selling cellphones, including Chinese offbrand phones.
Do yourself a BIG favor, and have something like AnTuTu Benchmark for what you want, and make them load it onto the phone before you buy it. Even better if you can put the APK on a USB stick with a reverse connector, or setup a webserver on an older phone, share the wifi, and download the APK.
ALWAYS BENCHMARK THE PHONE YOU ARE GOING TO BUY.
Not that everyone has fakes, but I've seen some damned good looking fake cellphones, especially in China. Some of the fakes are 'good enough' to being 1/2 or 2/3rds spec for 1/4 price so it's not that bad, the worst are almost retail pricing with 1/10th capacity/cpu etc... Did I mention to TEST THE PHONE, and not by looking at the settings, or storage widget, that can all be faked, you need something to verify.
The same goes for flash cards, use a tool to verify the correct operation. Oddly enough, the best looking Kingston flash cards I have are fake, and the ones with the screwed up masks, and smudged colours are legit.
AGAIN TEST, TEST, TEST.
Have fun, but remember it's caveat emptor.
judging by the icon, it's antutu benchmark

Into APK downloader site, such as https://apps.evozi.com/apk-downloader/ then run ANTUTU program not 3D.
install Antutu

I don't know to be honest, but I can tell you this: There is a benchmark app (Antutu) on android which gives my Moto G (1st Gen) a score of ~17500. Andyroid running on my Asus G73SW (i7 2630QM + GTX 460M) gets ~70000. Judging from that I don't think they can be that high. :)
