So I use this particular App Lock. There's two main features that I like about it 1) Fingerprint support obviously and 2) no accessibility access necessary, any app that ask for accessibility access is a deal breaker for me. It causes stuttering and lags like no other.
AppLock allows you to lock apps using a password, pin, pattern, or fingerprint. A custom launcher such as Nova launcher can hide apps.
allows you to select which apps require fingerprint to access them. I've been using it for several months. I like it.
I should note, if you open the app & then close it, you can open it without the fingerprint scan. it will be secure again after you turn the screen off and turn back on.
Im using App Lock: Fingerprint Password It good for Install and Uninstall lock, also a good app that lock other app, and have fingerprint support.
I use App Lock and it works just fine for me. I'm not sure if it's 100% ad-free or not but I don't remember seeing any ads any time I've used it.

App Lock supports Samsung's fingerprint reader, and was updated literally only a couple of days ago to support Nexus Imprint. I use it on both my Galaxy S6 and Nexus 6P.
I don't use it anymore (not at any fault of the app, I just found it unnecessary after awhile), but Applock by Keepsafe was solid when I used it. Never had any apps open passed it without the prompt showing up. Plus, the developers are pretty quick to address any support issues you have.
I'm 90% sure it didn't require accessibility permissions, but I can't remember.
Here is a very minimalistic app someone on this sub suggested. Haven't tested it yet but it's got a 4 star rating so yeah: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.getkeepsafe.applock&hl=de
Linkme: AppLock KeepSafe
EDIT: The bot couldn't find it. So here it is. This is the one I wanted to recommend you, I don't know if the one shown in the bot link uses fingerprint.

This one works with my fingerprint. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.getkeepsafe.applock
This'll let you put a fingerprint lock on any app with no root required. The phone does currently need to be a Nexus though.
App lock by Keepsafe. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.getkeepsafe.applock
Does what it needs to and doesn't require too much permissions.
Use the AppLock app and put the play store in the app lock. It'll also have an option to password uninstalls.

If you want a simple 3rd party app try this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.getkeepsafe.applock
It'd be nice to have this built in, but I just keep myself logged in and use App Lock: Fingerprint Password to actually launch the app.
