I use ASR: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nll.asr
You can make a quick widget to turn on/off recording. There is also support (not sure if it's pay or not since I bought the premium) to auto upload to the Cloud incase she trashes your phone (or the police)
Hi everyone, I have been improving my audio recording app called ASR. Give it a try
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nll.asr
Some features I think that distinguish it from others are:
Mano, é o aviso mais genérico que eu posso dar. Mas documenta tudo e salva em algum drive. Conversas de whatsapp, se algum dia for cofrontá-la sobre algo, baixa esse app de gravação e coloca com qualidade máxima, posts em redes sociais, etc.
Se ela chegou nesse nível de tentar causar um linchamento, ela com certeza faria coisa pior. Que as coisas melhorem pra ti
I use that one and i am pleased. Give it a try ASR Recorder In my case i run the app fron my galaxy watch and I have chose automatically record when you open the app
I tried a bunch of recorders and settled on ASR. Supports lossless recording, cloud uploads, selecting which mic to use ('Camera Mic' is more sensitive and better for my needs). Pretty much all the features I needed, and I can turn the screen off without interupting the recording.
I like the screen recorder and call recorder apps that the developer makes also.
Nooooooooooooo!
I hate that when that happens, especially when it concerns an particular audio that I am look forward to. I really wanted to hear those whimpers. pout
This has happened to me more than once, including when I attempted to edit the AMA that I recently recorded. Normally I record in one program and edit in another, this time however I decided to do everything in audacity and the fucking thing went haywire sending my recording into the ether.
When recording on your phone it really all depends on the app that you are using. When I had an iPhone I used Voice Record Pro to record, it has a simple and userfriendly interface, but more importantly it natively allows you to upload recordings to a googledrive or Dropbox.
On android Voice & Audio Recorder - ASR(my current recording app of choice) has the same functionality. By uploading to some form of cloud storage it enables you to have a backup in case something goes wrong. Of course depending on the file type that you record in you might experience some difficulties uploading on something other than over wifi as some such as WAVs tend to be quite bulky files.
> Is there way to record sound with phone...
Yes, look for a sound recording app. I use this one, but there are plenty out there.
> im being harassed by it probably
A phone can do a pretty good job picking up the same sounds that you can hear. If it's loud enough to annoy you, then it's loud enough for the phone to pick up.
If your phone isn't picking up a recording of the sound you're hearing, you should probably seek help from your doctor; you may be experiencing auditory hallucinations.
Edit -- Based on your post history, I would recommend talking to a mental health professional.
Meanwhile I found this one, with the free version you can record and add notes while recording. Which then takes you to the time in the recording where the note took place etc
This app called ASR Voice recorder have the option to choose your input source as well as monitor what you are recording. It also can control audio gain levels.
For that to happen phone app should have intents regarding that it registers. I am not aware of such intent. I don't expect to find any.
However, while acr does not have functionality to import files form other folders, our sound recorder app called ASR indeed has Folder Watching functionality that you cna use to import recordings from other folders.
Check https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nll.asr
Spy is in most cases bad, but this is not my business. :)
ASR is excellent for recording voices, and you can use a small widget on your home screen to start and stop recording without launching the app itself.
There are also even more discreet apps like Amazing Voice Recorder, but i never tried it.
Good luck.
This app will record in FLAC format:

This app streams live mic audio to another device:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.shihabsoft.wma&hl=en
Try this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nll.asr
I did not have to do what you are trying to do. But I googled and got this recommend by a few. And to check, I played a song via spotify, then started recording using that app and it actually did record the song that was playing.
The following app can "start recording upon starting the app". Try to tell tasker to "start app" "when camera button is pressed while proximity sensor is covered" or "when device is shaken while proximity... ". Or find a different app or xposed module that lets you configure your volume buttons to start an app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nll.asr
Remap the volume key using xposed, maybe use tasker. The important part is that this app starts recording upon opening it: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nll.asr
Try ASR.
Try ASR. It's a very complete app that will let you choose which mic to use.
It looks like ASR Voice Recorder will fit. I've used their call recorder and it's perfect - very easy to use, seamless backup.
I've found ASR to work quite well, and it has no trouble recording over 12 hours in my experience.
Nexus devices don't have a stock sound recorder, but this is what I use, pretty good app
