Well first and foremost I need to address the gracious host of this challenge! HAPPY CAKEDAY, KITTEN!
Now-- to the most sweetly sadistic guy in the world! Yeah, I'm talking about you, /u/cuddly_bear_ !
Adding in an edit since we can shout-out multiple people now:
/u/Ladybonerthrow86 -- I know I don't really know you outside of pestering you about gold stars but I want you to know that I, along with the rest of the community, so appreciate all that you do for us. The amount of time you put forth to mod this amazing place is just incredible. Thank you for choosing to spend so much of your time making sure this sub stays the sanctuary it is for all of us! And sorry for not making this blurb an audio-- I'm not near my mic right now :(
Have you tried orfox? It's an TOR browser that works out of the box.
I don't know if something exists for iOS but this is what I use to listen when I'm at work. If you get the right connection, you can even stream movies.

:D Restarted my Tumblr and will be making more posts, all NSFW ;) Follow me yall! Will Include lots of ddlg, and femdom posts ;) androgeny Yo!
I personally haven't experienced tingles either but they are still relaxing. Earphones help to enhance the experience. You could possibly try out "A Soft Mumur". You can control the volume of the varying sounds and everything.
More laundry? How much do you have! Ohhh yes please put up the next few chapters. I'm currently up to Chapter 5. Honestly I'm sometimes too distracted by your voice to really focus on what you're saying but oh well. Playing games sounds like a good plan! I possess 0 hand eye coordination to play them but I find it enjoyable to watch others.
I had a pretty average day today. Spent the majority of it at work. As for tomorrow I'll probably be studying :(
Enjoy your Sunday while you can.
I record using either my laptop or my phone. (If anyone else uses a Mac, this might be helpful... I hope?)
Current laptop is a MacBook Pro; I actually just use the built-in microphone, but with the Input Volume maxed out (to change this on OS X, go to System Preferences > Sound > Input Volume). The audio editing software is GarageBand, which I think comes free on Macs.
On my phone (I use an LG G3), I plug in my old iPhone earphones (which come with a built-in microphone) and record using Sony's "Audio Recorder" app. For actual editing, I just upload it to Google Drive, download it later on my laptop, and edit in GarageBand. That said, I think the Audio Recorder app does come with some very basic editing capabilities.
I've also got GarageBand on my iPad, and it seems to work fairly well, though I've never done any serious recording on it. :-/
Oh my dear sweet precious fellow Mississippi Deltan, yes!
Not sure why Amazon would be the place to get bottles of soda ... but here's at least the evidence!
... Also, it's probably a stretch for me to claim Mississippi Deltaism in my heritage, but I'm certainly a son of the bayous. xx
Shit, you caught me :/ I'm hiding from you all the fact that I'm not actually the person you hear in audios; it's all this dude I have chained up in my basement and he makes audios for me to post or else I don't feed him ^^;
I definitely recommend getting one, I think Amazon is having a pretty good sale on Utopias.
I've sent Amazon gift cards anonymously, it's actually really easy. Hop on the Amazon store and search for Amazon eGift Card:
Select the picture for the front of the card, amount, etc, and then buy it. You can have it directly e-mailed or texted to them, or you can just copy and paste the link into a DM. They'll click the link, log in with their own info, then redeem the card, and it gets added to their account balance.
I'll be doing one in January. The diametric opposite of your comprehensive and entertaining AMA, mine will be an exercise in E&E, shocking in its brevity. Unless someone is foolish enough to ask me a question about art.
Loved your book recommendations. I'm listening to "Surely You're Joking, Mr. Feynman!" as I type.
If I'm recording with my good mic (Rode NT1A, Scarlett 2i2 interface) I use a Windows 10 laptop and Audacity.
For phone recordings (Android), I use Hi-Q MP3 Recorder. The free version is limited to 10 minute recordings, so I bought the Pro version. It wasn't more than $5, I think. I upload the resulting MP3 to my Google Drive, then download to my Windows 10 laptop and edit with Audacity.
You might be surprised how much better the quality is with a recording app other than the one that's built into your phone.
Neither do I - Android all the way!
I use Rec Forge 2 Pro. The UI to edit is not super intuitive to start, but once you have it it's easy. The developer is very responsive if you email with issues or questions, and has some additional info online.
UPDATE: I've got some great feedback on this. I've set up a group so that we can discuss what we need/want from the project.
Indeed they are. Imperial knights can be any gender so mine are female. I'm planning to use them as part of my Sisters Of Battle army when they get released next year. After all what's not to love about an army of insane pyromaniac warrior nuns.
Hiya! First off, *you*re awesome! Thank you so much for listneing to my audios and for these questions! ;D
>especiallyallthingsrimmingbecausegirlIwannaeatthatbootie
This is cracking me up! You're hilarious!

Hiya!! You're such a sweetheart! I really appreciate you listening in and comments when you're able to leave them. Thank you <3
You're too kind! That definitely helps encourage me to keep going ;)
My protector has a girl crush on me? Gahhh I'm just a big ol' puddle <3 Thank you so much, kitten :*
You need to answer that second one too!
Gah you're the bestttt

Numero tres (in which I sound like a complete dork :D) -- shout out to /u/SamuelEnderdy !
1/2 Fireball 1/2 cider? Please tell me this is a shot because Pouring 8 oz of Fireball in a pint glass with apple cider sounds like a Really bad idea. (ALSO? I aint doing that...Man gotta have a code)
The Detroit/Seattle Playoff Game is on mute and I am wrapping up this Mixtape
So did I :-). "Immure" really hasn't been used much in the last century.
That’s one reason I got a Kobo — handles every ebook format there is. Works especially well when coupled with this software.
Which, now that I think of it, just might be able to convert ebooks from one format to another. I’ll look into that asap.
I especially like it because it works with all formats, and I can run it with one app to rule them all, etc.
The optional “sleepcover” is a nice feature too, though for all I know, other brands have an equivalent.
Hehe, I'll get the hang of including centigrade measurements one of these days...
I love listened to A Soft Murmur whenever I can't sleep. I couldn't listen to PTA; I'm weird and get turned on by any kind of affection lol. Not exactly conducive to sleepytimes.
I would suggest a small plug. I started off with the tantus slim plug from fleshlight. On amazon, the closest match I could find was this
I use an Android phone and the app I use for both recording and editing is WaveEditor. You can do basic recording, editing, and exporting in mp3 for free. You can buy the pro version for $3.99 and get lots of extra editing tools.
I am in no way affiliated with WaveEditor beyond being a user who really likes the app.
1- Well, what I had in my car was The Hobbit, The Lord Of The Ring trilogy, all five of The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy Trilogy (single hard cover edition), The Art of War, The Tao of Pooh, a couple cook books, a couple old text books, a couple collections of folktales (German, Irish, Shinto, Nordic, and native American), two or three Playboy magazines (just for the pictures and jokes, I swear!) and whatever I was reading primarily at the time. Oh, and a charger for my phone with my Kindle app (don't know if that counts or not)
2- Griffon Ramsey
3- David Eddings and Piers Anthony
4- One with words or pictures or numbers or such.
5- Sculpture probably. Ice/Stone/Wood
6- Meatloaf
7- Nope, not even going to try on that.
8- Fanfic I guess. Wouldn't really be able to choose really.
9- The Jaberwocky, Because I Could Not Stop For Death, Ride of the 600
10- Emily Dickinson I guess.
11- Winterborn - Cruxshadows; Hard Rock Hallelujah - Lordi
12- Ha! Jokes on you/them! I'm already questionable.
13- None, I don't want to master the skill, I want to keep working at it.
14- No, because I like too many to listen to only one.
15- Why not?
Bonus: Anyone, everyone, that guy over there! That chick in the corner! The moose in the window!
Nooooooooooooo!
I hate that when that happens, especially when it concerns an particular audio that I am look forward to. I really wanted to hear those whimpers. pout
This has happened to me more than once, including when I attempted to edit the AMA that I recently recorded. Normally I record in one program and edit in another, this time however I decided to do everything in audacity and the fucking thing went haywire sending my recording into the ether.
When recording on your phone it really all depends on the app that you are using. When I had an iPhone I used Voice Record Pro to record, it has a simple and userfriendly interface, but more importantly it natively allows you to upload recordings to a googledrive or Dropbox.
On android Voice & Audio Recorder - ASR(my current recording app of choice) has the same functionality. By uploading to some form of cloud storage it enables you to have a backup in case something goes wrong. Of course depending on the file type that you record in you might experience some difficulties uploading on something other than over wifi as some such as WAVs tend to be quite bulky files.
I recommend searching up "vlogging" or "shotgun" mics, as you'll find a wide variety of options that connect directly to your phone and offer upgraded sound quality as well as things like windsocks, or bundled with other accessories you might want.
Presuming your iPhone is lightning adapter, this and this are two good options in two price ranges that directly connect. Otherwise you'll likely need to get a mic with that uses the 3.5 jack and get an adapter. From what I can tell, a lot of these mics still use the 3.5 jack for backwards compatibility.
((reposting bc I accidentally used affiliate links on the first try))
So, I know this list is a bit outdated for March '22, but I just picked up this mic.
It's a condenser mic straight to USB with a shock mount, built-in pop filter and gain control right on the pic. I got a noise-blocking surround to go along with it and a table mounted boom stand to get things lined up right without leaning over.
Any thoughts on the mic?
Roll20. It's more accurate to say that it's more of a page than a program. I occasionally use it if I want to play some D&D online. If you're interested, their website is here.
This idea has great appeal to me, probably because I have an epic case of wanderlust; and happen to love Sound Effects/You Are There albums. Here's one the British National Trust and Jarvis Cocker made. I wish I could find a better link:
At the moment (because of u/mister-tinkles suggestion) I am marathoning my way through A Certain Magical Index which I'm really enjoying; I've gotten through about 8 episodes already today! Good call on Buffy; are you going to alternate with episodes of Angel when you get far enough through?
I use this one.
Though it's a studio mic, I got it for music use as well. There are probably better options if you're mainly doing vocal recording at home.
It's a condenser mic so if you have a fairly noisy recording place it may not be the right choice, and you'll need a preamp to power it. And a mic stand as well
Happy with it though. It was a good budget choice if looking to use in recording music as well.
Side-by-side Skyrim marathon. Every half-hour or so, one of us will turn to each other and ask "did you get to this area yet?" or "have you done that quest" or "what the actual fudge-buckets is the deal with Blackreach?! o_o"
...occasionally, I may need to get up to grab food / drinks for the both us. Each time, she'll quietly whisper, in a terrible attempt at a Spanish accent, "may you walk on warm sandsssssssssss."
(I thought of replacing Skyrim with Fallout 4, but I'm afraid this will lead to her shouting "<em>ad victoriam!</em>" every time I get up to take a bathroom break)
You can make a table in reddit which works fine, if you have a lot of material you might consider something like https://airtable.com/ which I've seen at least one performer use.
People, largely people who would never dream of eating in their Study, have had wastepaper baskets. I have owned one myself, because that's what happens when you buy furniture from an office clearance.
Yeah, it's a bin. But one specifically for paper so it won't hold anything else.
Amazon agrees Here's one!
Here's two slices of cake for you, and a napkin.
A little something extra you might enjoy.
How goes your week?
Dear lady, what a beautiful inquiry. :)
After I read "The Power Of Now" by Eckhart Tolle I thought: Why meditate for 20 years when you can find peace so much quicker?! If you don't mind the author sounding like a guru it is an excellent guide to enlightenment. (In fact, on youtube he appears quite modest)
With this book I found it rather effortless to step back and watch my thoughts without identifying with them.
Living in the present makes life a lot easier! :-)
But of course I don't want to keep you from meditating. It's just my experience.
I'm more of a non-fiction guy. I have a mini library in my hallway. I mostly have self-improvement/entrepreneurship books and comic art/painting books.
My favorites are
What Every Body Is Saying
The Definitive Book on Body Language
The 48 Laws of Power
Think and Grow Rich
How to Win Friends and Influence People
The Richest Man in Babylon
This was fascinating! I am a major bibliophile so once I am verified, I will be giving this questionnaire a shot too! There were a lot of titles in your list that were new to me and many that were familiar. Love the passion you have -- and OH! Completely agree about On Writing -- that is so very much my go to book for the life of a writer and inspirational kicks in the ass.
Last good book was The Diary of a Young Girl aka: The Diary of Anne Frank. ANYTHING by ZANE, cause I seriously love erotica and sex. The 50 Shades trilogy (YES, I read them all- had to know what all the hype was about. I was disappointed that I have been way more adventurous myself, but was a decent read). Bared to you series which is similar to 50 Shades. And ANYTHING Goosebumps!
Movies: The Pianist (Adrian Brody was AMAZING!!!!) Schindler's List (Ralph Fiennes enough said), The Boy in the Striped Pajamas, The Shawshank Redemption (Tm Robbins and Morgan Freeman!)....
Also: Nightcrawler, Foxcatcher, The Imitation Game, Birdman (I am a sucker for Michael Keaton), The Interview (cause those two are fucking clowns!!!), Kingsman: The Secret Service, Nymphomaniac I an II.
TV shows: The Wire (You just can't go wrong), Breaking Bad (Seriously an amazing series), Game of Thrones, Sense 8, Sons of Anarchy, Dexter (although the Finale was SHIT!), Ray Donovan, House of Cards (Kevin Spacey was born for this role!), DareDevil, Marco Polo, The Killing, Weeds, Parks and Recreation, The Office, The Wonder Years (swoon).
I can go on and on.. Let me know if you get bored and I will recommend tons more stuff :-)

Probably. Might I suggest looking at the Line 6 POD Interface or the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2?
Not a lady, but I don't see anything wrong with some plastic tubs like these guys that you store under your bed or on the floor of your closet. I would just wrap things up in some sort of fabric before storing them so they don't possibly get dinged up if they get rattled around inside.
I have a blue yeti with a nice big double layer pop filter. I use Reaper to edit as well. Non of that fancy audio mixers. :)
Maaan, I wish it was socially acceptable for dudes to wear leggings in public; they're just so comfy! Truth be told, I'm currently lounging around in these bad boys and I wear them under my jeans during the winter as a form of thermal underwear.
For recording I use this (Except the mic is red with black trim). If I were to get a second mic, could I get the binaural effect? Is it just a case of putting them in a specific place?
Sorry it's one breed, but it's called, "The British Shorthair Cat: A Complete Pet Owner's Manual. With Special Chapter: Understanding British Shorthair Cats." In November of 2009 the cheapest used was $109, and new was $399. Today used it is $6.04 used and $56 new, because some wise ass apparently decided to crash the market (statement may or may not be true). It's this book and it is wonderful.
Okay, so I'm a college student, so I don't have any super "fancy" recording equipment. I've got a mic stand and the MXL USB.006 Cardioid Condenser Microphone. It might be a little on the expensive side at around approx. $87, but it definitely gives a good quality recording. As fore recording software, I use Audacity, much like a lot of the voice actors/performers here do. Plus the MXL USB 006 plugs right into the computer, making for a slightly easier setup so I can get into recording rather quickly.
If you want to be able to record your voice and the sound of you masturbating, I would say get an omnidirectional mic or two dynamic microphones. If you want to just record your voice, I'd say get a dynamic microphone. A couple of people have recommended Audio Technica, Samson, and Rode mics. Those are pretty good. Also check out the Shure SM58-X2u or the Shure SM57-X2u. Watch out for counterfeit Shure mics though. Apparently they're pretty common.
ALL MY KAZOOS ARE THE DANKEST
NO REALLY LOOK THESE ARE THE ONES I HAVE AND THEY'RE SHINY SWAGTASTIC :D
Well usually I get off in about 10-15 minutes just using my hand or a bit longer, it depends on the length of the audio. With the toys it's usually around 30 minutes because I'll get close then lose it for a bit. But if you say it is good to not pop too fast when it comes to the real thing I'll take your word for it haha.
And I've been thinking of getting a prostate massager. I've tried to hit my prostate with my fingers but haven't had any luck with it and I've looked at a few things and found something similar to this. Would you recommend that clone of the Aneros? It seems like a fun toy and being able to hit my prostate would be amazing.
You can actually record XLR in stereo, you just need the right setup, which obviously means more money.
I believe the digital audio device you are referring to is something like this? They are actually great tools to use, and depending on what you get, some of them do have XLR input. Lots of options out there depending on your budget.
Okay, so I ordered this one...http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0140ZEDB2?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00....mainly because it was said to work with mac, which others didn't. But: Doesn't work at all....or better said, the integrated macbook microphone is even better in noise cancelling. I am gonna return - so just for all the apple-a-day-junkies out there: drop the mic :)
Regarding my project: it is something sfw. So, is GWA or GWAbackstage a place to open an audition for storytelling voices too? Or is there a better subreddit for such? (sorry, new here and just curious)
That's great! Seeking help is a great first step. Keep doing what you're doing!
Therapy is a marathon. You'll win some and you'll lose some. The goal is not to keep track of the loses, but to get right back up when you do.
I've been in therapy off and on for more than a decade.
Fwiw, I believe there is an app that will connect you with a therapist and conduct sessions via Skype for free. Not sure if the look up is free and then you pay for therapy or if the whole thing is free...let me see if I can find it for you...
But in the mean time, good for you!
EDIT: Here are a few. Sorry for the formatting. I'm on mobile

I second cyalith on rec forge... I use that app to record on a Nexus 6P.
There's a newer version - Rec Forge II Pro - that's got a more updated UI and works better on phones running marshmallow.
It is slightly non-obvious how to edit in this app in the beginning, so I recommend recording a couple tracks you don't care about and giving it a shot. Otherwise, it's a great app and significantly better than most of the free ones. I tried several.
One of the biggest hurdles to recording on the phone is finding the sweet spot in terms of picking up everything you want to pick up, without getting too much noise from breathing, etc, and keeping it there. It's not rocket science, obviously, but it's easy to drift away or too close to the mic if you're uh, less focused.
Have fun!
