DISCLAIMER: There are federal and state laws pertaining to the recording of phone calls. As a general rule of thumb, though, you shouldn’t run into any legal trouble if you capture both parties verbally consenting to the recording. Some states require that only one party consent, however, feel free to check your state or local laws if you need further clarification.
The most highly rated one for Android is Call Recorder S9 - Automatic Call Recorder Pro
Tell.
You can't go on the way you're going on and it wouldn't be you that tore the family apart it would be him he chose to do that at 17 he is smart enough to know better than to abuse an 8 year old.
in the years between that he's tried to touch you he's just trying to continue to exert that power if he could.
Rarely is there one victim. If you can't do it for yourself, do it for those you will prevent.
The longer he lives like that thinking it's okay the harder it is for any therapy methods to work, don't for him. Do it for him too
And...it's shady and risky but if you need it....talk to him alone, your phone recording or BF on the line and it muted him recording.nasknhim about it and flirt. They have what's known as "criminal pride"
There is no honor in what he did and no honor is deserved back. If your family will not support you thinking you are the lier don't give them the ability to argue.
If you do this be safe don't be alone without someone close, don't be on his "home truff". Clearly it has risk of him trying to act on it too fast with even a perceived moment of you agreeing being enough for him to take it. In my state.you can record phone conversations you are a part of... I use this one
i'm using 'automatic call recorder pro'. it's free with some ads i never notice.

there are some others you can try, but i don't know much about them.
I use "CallU" since a week or two, it can't access contact so all record are like "anonymous caller" but except that it works well

For those looking to record their calls when reporting something, PC Mag put out an article last month about it for Android. Recording right in the Google Phone app doesn't seem to work anymore, but they suggested three alternatives to use. I tested out Call Recorder - Automatic Call Recorder Pro and it seemed to work with no problems when I tested it, both incoming and outgoing.
iPhone users I cannot help you, but I am sure someone else can.
If you still have a landline then it can be done the old fashioned way :)
You're getting no answers, but I found two on Android that I tried.
The current one I use is callU: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.smsrobot.callu&hl=en&gl=US
Looks like recent changes made it so it can no longer pull the phone number or contact info along with the recording. So it can still work, I just have to favorite the call right after its made or know/record the date and time somewhere else so I can reference it later.
I've never needed to use them, but I've saved a few calls (mostly to customer service that already inform you that they're recording so no additional consent needed on my part) for CYA purposes. Knock on wood, this will only ever be peace of mind for myself.
(I might edit this later just in case, grab the link while you can.)
It has worked in the past but it sounds like it shouldn't without root?
I have used callU flawlessly on my pixel 3a.if you can handle a few ads its pretty good. callU~~~~
What developer?
Edit: what about between Boldbeast & this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.smsrobot.callu? Which works best?
