It's not as popular as its rival Hearthstone, but Eternal is a much better card game with great deck variety and a very generous economy. A new set is close to release so we're in full spoiler season, with a brand new meta around the corner.
Steam version is international. Mail.ru have their own standalone desktop client. Google Play search only shows local versionbfor me, but direct link still works: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.direwolfdigital.Phoenix I'm unaware whether App Store shows global client to russians or not. If anyone from Russia/CIS knows, more info is welcome.

If you like trading card games like Hearthstone or Magic, Eternal is great. It's super F2P-friendly, a new set recently dropped, and there's regular tournaments on twitch.

I've been playing Eternal lately. They have a really good f2p model and it's a little more complex than hearthstone. It's also cross-platform so you can use the same account for android and your computer. It's been a few weeks since I played on my phone, but there were some times where it was a little hard to read the text, but I think they might have fixed it recently. Wasn't ever so inhibiting that I couldn't play though.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.direwolfdigital.Phoenix&hl=en
There is a closed iOS beta, but Apple doesn't allow apps in beta to show up in the App Store, so iOS users will have to wait for the full release of the game.
I'm always playing this, and new 180 card expansion is coming out soon.
As Eternal continues, the amount of cards causes strategies is getting waaay deeper. But there may be some power creep coming in too...
Also they have a promo card this week, you get for free if you win a PvP game.
>I've already maxed out my referal rewards though so anyone else who plays is welcome to post their links too.
Shameless plug for referral link https://www.direwolfdigital.com/eternal/register/?ref=9e987d4f-cfc4-4330-a9dc-45a547d7b3d6 Playing since the start of this year so by no means an expert.
Link to download the game:

Подключение к серверам не зависит от VPN, всё определяется приложением. У Mail.ru есть свои отдельные мобильный и десктопный клиент. Если скачать обычные клиенты, то можно играть с международным аккаунтом.
К сожалению, перенос аккаунтов невозможен, это часть злого плана. Но переход на новый аккаунт выгоден в долгосрочной перспективе, учитывая то, что Mail.ru могут вообще разогнать всех игроков и свернуть проект, а Direwolf относятся к игрокам как к людям.
↓↓↓↓ Translation here ↓↓↓↓
Server connection is not affected by VPN, its all about the client. Mail.ru has its own mobile and desktop clients. If you download default clients, it's possible to play with international account.
Unfortunately, account transfer is not possible, that's part of the evil plan. But getting a new account is profitable for the long term, considering Mail.ru may just scare away all the players and close the project, while Direwolf treat them like people.
Two biggest games are available ( soft launched ) and cross playable on PC

Faeria

I strongly recommend Eternal, it is JUST now leaving beta. It plays a lot like MTG with the easy and refined UI of Hearthstone. The IAP aren't greedy, it's very playable as a F2P game.
Eternal CCG is not a P2W at all. I played for almost a year before spending $3 for a custom avatar to support devs. You can gather all cards w/o spending $. Solid game! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.direwolfdigital.Phoenix
Eternal, gioco di carte collezionabili con una meccanica MOLTO simile a Magic. Leggermente più complesso e interattivo di Hearthstone, ha un sacco di modalità diverse. Si gioca molto bene anche senza spendere un euro.
Yes there is an android version, which is very well optimized and use so little data:

Basically I got very bad connection at my work place, but I'm able to play through games after games of Eternal while I couldn't even chat through Discord.
I don't think it's publicly listed in the play store. Did you click the link in the patch notes? I'll try to paste it here.

Eternal is one of the best card games out there in my opinion.
Match duration is probably slightly lower than gwent.

Eternal
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.direwolfdigital.Phoenix&hl=en
It's closer to Magic the Gathering than Hearthstone. I had a lot of fun when I was playing it.
Eternal ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.direwolfdigital.Phoenix&hl=en_US ) is a CCG that might be worth checking out for you.
Eternal is a really good card game in a similar vein to Magic. It's very generous towards F2P, and a new set is about to drop. However just like seemingly all digital card games, you can't directly trade cards between players.
What I love about Eternal is that, despite playing for free, I can generally whomp on players that have paid. That said, you can have a slight advantage at first by spending $$$. I am considering putting in $10 just to support the game & having a custom Avatar, but there is literally NO pressure to pay in this game -- and my understanding is that it is generating $.

I recommend Eternal Card Game
It is still early access but it's pretty worth. Scratches both my magic the gathering and hearthstone itch. It also has a steam client as well!

Despite being sick of the never-ending torrent of collectible card games being released ever since Hearthstone, I downloaded Eternal Card Game out of sheer desperation for something to do. It looks like Hearthstone but plays more like Magic the Gathering, and to be honest I've thoroughly enjoyed it so far. I've heard that it's pretty free-player friendly, but I haven't really played enough of it to work out how true that is yet. If it turns out to be as good as it seems I'm going to be in an awkward position however, as I'll want to support the devs but refuse to buy in-app purchases with random outcomes out of principal. Maybe I'll send them a nice email with a cat jpeg attached or something.
I saw somebody mention Dragonius GO on this sub somewhere and installed it out of pure morbid curiosity. It's just Pokemon Go, only they came up with the great idea of allowing people outside of cities to actually play it by not attaching their in-game hotspots to a curated list consisting of almost every inanimate object that exists in London and about four pubs in the rest of the UK. Yes, I'm bitter because I wanted to play Pokemon Go despite living somewhere that has trees. The game itself looks deeper than PG to be honest, with quests and stuff. I'd say more about it but every time I install a game like this on my phone I end up not leaving the house for a variety of reasons, and when I do actually leave the house I end up driving and therefore can't actually play. The in-app purchases for currency go up to just over £100 though, so I'm expecting a huge insurmountable paywall to arise at some point in the not too distant future.
Finally, I've been addicted to an ancient web-game called NationStates. Now I know that it's not strictly an Android game, but I've been using Stately to play it from my phone and it does a pretty good job. NationStates is a browser-based massively multiplayer simulation where you play as the ruler of a fictional country or state, that although simple when you first start can become much more complicated (and therefore interesting) when interacting with other players through player-created "regions" (sort of like clans, but not quite). Sometimes it's nice to subject an invisible population of virtual civilians to horrifying political atrocities whilst having a poo. There are some microtransactions available for some permanent account upgrades (up to $10) and a $1 consumable that you'll only usually need if you start running your own region.
I gave Space Colonizers the boot after it became even more boring after my first prestige. I should have noticed that something was up when none of the screenshots on the store page actually showed the game.
Eternal is pretty fun.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.direwolfdigital.Phoenix
I've been playing and enjoying Eternal a lot
You should check out eternal, it's like hearthstone but with instants and a stack. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.direwolfdigital.Phoenix

Eternal. Seriously the only valid answer.
Here, have a lovingly human sourced link: Eternal
Eternal
If you like card games like magic the gathering, and hearthstone is too basic, expensive, and rng bullshit like we all know it is... Eternal is where you belong. It's incredible, free to play, and absolutely not pay to win.
Several different game modes against players and AI. Constructed and limited modes. Competitive and casual modes.
Card crafting and dusting, just like hearthstone.
You can play on Steam
There are plenty of free decks they give you to get you started, and a very knowledgeable community over at /r/EternalCardGame
Once you get started we've got a few databases for popular decks and articles on play at Eternal Warcry and RNG Eternal
Honorable mentions:
Shadowverse is also very good, but it's too "anime-y" for me... And the strategy is far less thought provoking than magic or eternal.
Elder scrolls: Legends - done by the same company as Eternal so its also very free to play friendly, but it's... A very different, and not always good different, card game in my opinion. But for some it's pretty good.
For the lazy:

What is my thing though is Collectible Card Games (CCGs). I like nearly all of them (Hearthstone aside), even though I such ant deck building and don't have a lot of time to play them anumore. More all-time favorite was (and will ever be) Eternal (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.direwolfdigital.Phoenix) - the best combination of simplicity (as in Blizzard) and strategic depth (as in MtG) for me. Used to play Elder Scrolls: Legends (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bethsoft.theelderscrollslegends), but is is no longer supported, so I would not recommend. Another rather unordinary game I liked was Battlegrounds of Eldhelm ( http://eldhelm.essenceworks.com/) - it is also no longer supported, though. The problem with CCGs is that they are heavily online dependant. Once the servers are down and no people play the game, there is absolutely nothing you can do to prolong your experience.
I do not play MMORPGs for the same reason. However I am a huge fan of Rangers of Oblivion (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gtarcade.lhjx). It's not your regular MMO action RPG (tons of them) where you just mash the attack button and use skills when they become available (or rather press Auto and the game plays itself). It requires some skill to play good - heck, it does not even have an Auto-Battle feature. But, as with all free MMORPGs soon you will reach the point where in order to progress further you either grind non-stop 24/7 or invest huge sums of real money (even though with Rangers... this moment comes not as quickly as with other games).
Currently my favorite genre is card-base roguelike dungeon crawlers (as in "Slay the Spire" - waiting to see it on mobile soon). Not much of them on mobile yet (even Dream Quest is still iOS-exclusive https://apps.apple.com/us/app/dream-quest/id870227884), but still there are some to play. My favorites so far are Dungeon Tales (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.homecookedgames.dungeontales), Night of the Full Moon (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ztgame.yyzy) and Tavern Rumble (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.Evrac.TavernRumble).
Worth mentioning are rather casual Hoplite (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.magmafortress.hoplite), Void Tyrant (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.armorgames.voidtyrant) and To Arms!! (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.latahunden.toarms) - small games you can play while waiting in line or wherever you usually play mobile games.
There are still a lot of games left overboard. I intentionally icluded almost only premium games (as I hate modern f2p mobile monetization approaches) and avoided huge PC ports (you already know about them) - rather tried to focus on games that were not mentioned in other posts of this thread (thanks for creating it, by the way: it was a great opportunity for me to learn about some of the best Android games - even though I already played or heard of most of them).
P.S. If your tastes are somewhat similar to mine and you are looking for advice in some specific game genre, feel free to ask - I played (or overviewed) a lot of Android games and I may be of help.

Eternal Card Game is the best card game on the mobile market with no real competition. It's ludicrously F2P-friendly and has depth rivaled only by Magic: The Gathering, but it can get a little complex if you've never played a TCG/CCG before. The only digital card game that's better than Eternal is MTG Arena, but that isn't available on phones.
Alto's Adventure and the sequel Alto's Odyssey are both fantastic 2D snow/sandboarding games with great music and amazing art. Doing backflips, wallgrinds and wingsuit loops to build up a huge combo never gets old.
Imo I would say "Eternal" is the best mobile ccg and it can also be played on PC. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.direwolfdigital.Phoenix

Eternal has made this system very good but game was just another shitty p2w. I hope this will be not like that f**king confusing and full of diamond system Asian games. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.direwolfdigital.Phoenix
