Hi. I'm a student and I'd like to show a project I've been working on in the last year.

The game is called Hives , as the idea came when I was reading something about bees and how they make their hives hexagonal because it minimize the border-to-area ratio.

Anyway, it's a puzzle, where every level is an irregular chessboard of hexagons. You have to move from point A to point B, using a limited number of moves. A move can take any of the six directions of the hexagon, and will take you to the last cell available in that direction.

When I played with some features in Blender, I created something, that looks like a 3D version of dino in the popular offline game for Google Chrome.

I felt pity to not use this model, so I decided to create a 3D remake.

I know, that there is plenty of copies and I do not like cloning also like you. But I tried making this game "original" with a new perspective and some features like color mode, animations, music and more.

They don't seem that aggressive to me. Super Mario X has stayed up for six or eight months, and Super Mario Sunshine 63 is like a year and a half old. Besides, Link's Awakening was never ported to the DS, so it's essentially abandonware at this point. Maybe there's a difference between fangames and direct ports, but the technology has obviously moved on, so perhaps they won't bother?

I'm ridiculously pleased with myself that I managed to actually finish a game and publish it :) The game is a story driven text adventure following a mother's survival after the outbreak of a global pandemic. You play a female protagonist in a non-linear, text based adventure. The world is detailed, interactive and very dark. Well that was an interesting game. It is an audio-only endless runner, where you listen for the sounds coming towards you. If the sound is only in one ear on your headphones then it is going to miss you, but if it is in both ears then it is coming directly for you and you need to jump left or right to avoid it.

Even the menu is audio only, which is fun. Unfortunately, between each game it plays the tutorial on how to use the menu every time which gets really irritating.

The game starts off at a leisurely pace for a while and then you die. Rather than speed up gradually and start sending sounds closer to each other to make you hop between the tracks faster, it just seems to switch to "blindingly fast" mode - or is that deafeningly fast? - so that almost as soon as you hear the sound start you have crashed. It was disappointing, because I was quite looking forward to franticly navigating around the soundscape.

I played the Linux version (which is labelled as Untested), so maybe the Windows version does not have the same problem. Still, it was a nice idea.

This game was made as part of Game Maker's Toolkit Jam 2018. This year's theme was to write a game in 48 hours in a certain genre, but was missing one of the main mechanics found in that genre. There were 1050 games submitted, so have a look at the entries page (which you can filter by platform) or the results page for more unusual and free games. Also, check out the organiser's best of video.

I'm sure your intention was to help people but you see the people that visit free game subreddits are sure enough going to know about any leaks and exactly when to use coupons. It conforms to material design standards and is really nice to use. So a few days ago I found VoYD (still not sure if it stands for anything, ideas?). It's a minimalist hack and slash game, with a simple design, but very cute artstyle and animations, even down to the cape flapping about when you glide yourself from side to side.

 

The music is also beautifully simple, and works very well with the overall style of the game. I really enjoyed playing it, and thought I'd make a video to showcase the game, as I feel it's a nice little time waster :)

Update for Feb 3rd 2016:

• Nia now can only run and jump. She is able to destroy enemies by jump on their heads.
• Level is now longer (currently there is only 1, but I will add more soon), with more enemies, more fun.
• Nia now has a health bar - she will be killed after touch enemies a few times. But she can eat golden star to gain health.
• A new UI (main menu and something)

Not really meant for 2D puzzle games, but they cover the base functionalities that you'll need.

It worked perfectly, TunnelBear works great, especially without trial but it limits you traffic to 500M> PER MONTH <so for those 1-2 times that I happen to use VPN it is Above all the animations and sounds are a must XD

Cowardly Heroes took around two years to develop and I had a lot of fun in the process and learned a lot of things!

Very much yes. It's not only a top notch rogue-like, but it also has a decent UI, which most roguelikes fail at miserably.

As far as roguelikes go, DCSS (dungeon crawl stone soup is the most updated current fork of linley's original game) is about as good as you can get.

If anyone is interested in flash games, there is bluemaxima as well which has most non-nsfw flash games. Another option is adobe's projector content debugger but you have to get the game files yourself.

If you don't want to deal with the launcher, then once the game is installed use OpenMW to play. It's a hell of a lot more stable than the official engine and is 64-bit so it's worth doing anyway. Alternatively, you can probably play without the launcher after install by running the exe directly; I seriously doubt they made any changes to the original game code.

In The Final Earth 2, Earth is uninhabitable. Therefore, you decided to colonize a tiny world and rebuild society. You build a vertical skyscraper-style city. You have to keep into account resource management, citizen commutes, the happiness of your citizens and more, but you can also play free play mode and just build whatever you want.

One of my favorite things about the game is just following a citizen on their commute through a huge city and see them take crazy space ship routes.

The game is free forever. It contains a few ads, but mostly optional for an additional bonus (which the game isn't balanced around) and nothing intrusive.

Hey folks - I released Flappy Lander (my updated version of Flappy Bird) last week - it was something I threw together for a bit of fun during lockdown, and after a lot of hassle I think I’ve finally got the leaderboards working.

It’s a modern update on the classic Flappy Bird with a lunar lander taking the place of the bird, updated flight physics (that I much prefer when compared to the other Flappy-types out there) and the ability to share your scores across social media and messaging apps.

Hi all,

I just released my own twist on the anagram solving genre which I've been working on during the lockdown. I've been inspired by other word games such as Text Twist, Wordscapes and a 9 letter target game published daily in my local paper.

Compared to Wordscapes specifically, I've found that you're forced to play a lot of easy puzzles before you get to more interesting longer words. So my version's difficulty increases quickly and has a larger number of 7+ letter puzzles to solve later on.

The game was built using the Flutter framework which I found worked really well for doing animations, speedy hot reloading and getting an app out quickly on both Android and iOS.

Hi, I'd like to share with you my project called Up To Space. I think it is a simple game (rather relaxing) from the environment of space. The game doesnt contain annoying ads (only reward based video).

My first game where the objetive is save all chickens cutting all spiders and make combos, some spiders make you lose life and others only block your vision for some seconds if you wasn't fast.
