Funnily enough this is a question the MTG guys ask on their multiple choices design tests. The answer is: naming, grouping, grokkability, flavor and marketing. More on that from this old article.

This is a good write-up by MaRo on why keywords exist. Inspire would for number 2, as did Lifeforce (each lifeforce card kinda did different things but you'll think "oh lifeforce: it triggers upon life gain." Same with inspire, you'll think "inspire means it'll trigger on card draw")
Steam version is international. Mail.ru have their own standalone desktop client. Google Play search only shows local versionbfor me, but direct link still works: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.direwolfdigital.Phoenix I'm unaware whether App Store shows global client to russians or not. If anyone from Russia/CIS knows, more info is welcome.
This is coming, though they haven't worked out the kinks. Activision has a patent on the idea, though they claim they have not implemented it yet.

There is a closed iOS beta, but Apple doesn't allow apps in beta to show up in the App Store, so iOS users will have to wait for the full release of the game.
Hello, I'm AromaNova and welcome to my first Eternal Draft video. In this video we will go over picks and then the gameplay. Let's see if I can get to 7 wins. Enjoy and have fun!
This is the first time I've done a draft video, feedback and suggestions are very welcome! You can message me on Discord under [TGP] AromaNova#5527.
Please vote on what kind of video I should do next. https://www.strawpoll.me/16106158
Also don't forget about the Sunday Challenge tomorrow, July 22nd at 12:00 PM EDT hosted by [TGP] https://eternaltournaments.com/tournament
This will never happen, and it isn't even something that SHOULD happen. Some, even most cards are balanced to create a good draft format. Most of those cards aren't going to hold up in constructed, and that's completely ok. Bad cards are a fundamental part of the game.

I’m left to wonder if I can make an USA App Store account and play without those tricky vpn stuff. It’d be so sad if it won’t work. Gotta try tomorrow. Yup, I’m playing mostly on mobile.
Re: Card description font

This is almost a perfect match, except for the lower-case g.
https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Droid+Sans

This is definitely it. The number 2 matches, as well as the lowercase g, and the lowercase a. Every letter seems a match. https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Roboto
Thanks a lot Indeed the comments section of the website isn't that practical. I believe this is where you can register to Wordpress (you can just use a google account) to comment there: https://wordpress.com/log-in
↓↓↓↓ Translation here ↓↓↓↓
Server connection is not affected by VPN, its all about the client. Mail.ru has its own mobile and desktop clients. If you download default clients, it's possible to play with international account.
Unfortunately, account transfer is not possible, that's part of the evil plan. But getting a new account is profitable for the long term, considering Mail.ru may just scare away all the players and close the project, while Direwolf treat them like people.

I personally have got my region free account with the help of https://steamcommunity.com/app/531640/discussions/0/1496741765138546937/ After that I can login with my main Russian Steam account into PC and Android.

I would also say be careful talking shit about yetipult, valkyrie, and herald. Those three in particular I have marked as potential sleepers. Cruiciation does seem pretty unexciting though I grant you.

Even when downloading WDW's version from Aptoide, it installs and downloads data files okay, but upon the login screen it still redirects me to Play Store's WDW version for an update, there I'm greeted by "this application is not available in your country". Perhaps if I'd be able to find an up to date .apk from somewhere, my problems would be solved until the next update, but that'd just be a temporary fix.
I'll give TunnelBear a go first chance I get, thanks for the suggestion!
If you created your account before , it should still work fine if you download the Steam version of the client. Same if you can download the client via Google Play. Maybe you can use a VPN to get the non version off Google Play? TunnelBear, maybe?
But if , is forcing you to ditch an old account to use a new account, then that's kinda shitty. But it that also doesn't seem like something they'd do. Email .
I just downloaded the app. If it wasn't for the marketing watermark on your video, I'd never have known about it. It works like a charm on Android. I might actually use it to record a Deck Discourse for fun. For a free app, it does quite a bit, and it will even let me remove the default marketing watermark and add my own.
Yes there is an android version, which is very well optimized and use so little data:

Basically I got very bad connection at my work place, but I'm able to play through games after games of Eternal while I couldn't even chat through Discord.
I don't think it's publicly listed in the play store. Did you click the link in the patch notes? I'll try to paste it here.

Does the game work on wifi after downloading game files? Or do you need to be off wifi to play?
Close eternal. Open DNS changer and choose server. If in the US just use Google public or cloudflare. If outside the US, do a little Google sleuthing to find the best one. Then hit set DNS. Then go boot up Eternal. I've had similar issues with certain wifi networks (my workplace wifi will never play any games without DNS changer) with other mobile games like WildRift and CoD Mobile.

Hey there, I hope that you're fine with me posting this here (apologies right away if not).
The quick version is that we (who work on the game) are all CCG and TCG fans, and so for the last 2 years we've been working on this game that is our vision of a fun game. However, we have never wanted to be just another card game - or worse branded as a 'hearthstone killer' - we wanted to be our own, and so we've made some major changes to the TCG mechanics (for better or for worse).
Quick examples are:
You never run out of card in your deck - you essentially draw a copy of the card that is on top - and in battle, you draw a new hand every turn. The battlefield is a 3x3 field, the row closest to you is where you summon your cards, the middle is the row you fight to control, and the furthest from you is where your opponent summons their cards. An opposing card can never move to the summon row, but they will always try to move to the middle row, if they clash with an opposing card, they fight (typical mechanics there), from the middle ground, if there are no opposing cards in front of yours, you attack the player, if there is a card, you attack the card.
I know that some (especially the first one) can sound outlandish to experienced players of the genre, so we'd really like to know what happens when some of you try the game and then honestly tell us what you think of it - love it or hate it!
If you are interested, then the game is avaliable for

Share-X is a great screenshot sharing program You can even set it to upload to imageshack by default. And it automatically sets your clipboard to the URL of your image so you can just paste the URL instantly.
I had a comment on the Youtube page saying it'd be more helpful to include a link to the entire playlist rather than individual videos, especially for sharing the video out with others.
So if that's what you'd prefer then you can point them in this direction: https://tinyurl.com/Draft101
Here is a pretty good MTG article on the topic: https://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/making-magic/when-cards-go-bad-2002-01-28
Though I would agree some cards like SST and Tavrod are significantly more cost-effective than baseline.
That skullclamp Nerf thing is a myth.
It went untouched for most of development as a more expensive card with +1/+2, but was changed to be cheaper and give +1/-1 instead after making a decision to try and push some of the equipment cards. Despite the buff, they didn't find it necessary to send out a memo for play testing.
There's a good article from the lead designer of Magic about why bad cards are needed at higher rarities as well. As such it also means that there will be cards that are just better than others. And sometimes new cards will come out that will make cards that weren't previously good into very strong cards.
I suggest you check it out if you have some time. It's very relevant to all card games, not just Magic:
https://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/making-magic/when-cards-go-bad-2002-01-28
You can but only in countries where regular Amazon Prime is not available. On those countries you sign up for Prime Video (which is not the same as the Amazon Prime Video service just to make it more confusing)

Google does use the info obtained in Google analytics. https://www.google.com/analytics/terms/es.html And google unlike Redshells do request to be fully disclosed to everyone that Google analytics is being used with an embeded link to this info. Could you tell me who ask us or notified us about the us of redshell?
Well we should check whats Redshell OWN description states about that. Because the last time I read it. Wasn't like that
I had never really thought about this before.
A bit of an aside, my favorite writing adaptation of gameplay for a card game was the book Arena by William Forstchen. Really example of what you're talking about (and just a great novel) if you haven't read it.
You can also get Google play credit from the Rewards app (fill in surveys)

Use a VPN and log on to server outside of Russia, preferably the U.S. or Europe. try using NordVPN. they are a great company and have very reliable and fast servers. get one of their deals and you pay like $2.50 a month.
I know there's TunnelBear for Android, which is a VPN app, but not sure if you can tunnel Google Play requests through it. Worth a try, anyhow. Or any other VPN app you'd prefer to use.
Your problem with the Android app, even if you can get the non-mailru version to play, what happens at the next update? Will it force you into updating to the mailru app again?
If you have the Google Opinion Rewards app, you can earn a dollar or two per month by answering short Google surveys. These can be used to discount Google Play purchases. Not a big deal, but if you only buy Eternal stuff every couple to a few months, you can end up getting a nice discount that way.
I wouldn't say "terrible value card game purchases." I'd rather say that card games, in general, are a rather costly hobby to have. For physical card games, you pay for sleeves to protect your cards, deck boxes, the cards themselves, and a playmat (and also maybe even a tube to roll up and carry the playmat in, which sounds silly but it's actually quite helpful). If you have multiple decks, these prices add up quite a bit (though you only really need 1 playmat unless you want a new one for a different art).
Card games, in general, are an expensive hobby. However compare this to this. Both get the job done; they carry your deck. There are, of course, other deck boxes in the price range between these two that have different aesthetics and carry dice and other objects, and you also have to remember about build quality as well when it comes to price.
It's all about the individual and their personal sense of value. One guy may be completely content with a $5 ultra pro box and ultra pro sleeves and a $10 mat, whereas another person may want to be more flashy. These aesthetics tell others about who you are as a player.
Now, I know that there is a huge difference between digital and physical card games in terms of the value of the cards themselves and that you want "better sleeves to better protect your investment" and whatnot, but that is a completely different discussion altogether.
Really enjoying the podcast episodes but you REALLY need to spend the $10 and BUY A POP FILTER for your snowball mic. Your Ps are killing my ears (listening with earbuds).
The sound quality has improved with the new mic, but the pop filter is a must, especially with a snowball mic (which I use as well).
If you actually are using a pop filter, then you need to back off the mic. And you should run a leveler in post production to pull up the volumes of your cohosts which are about 50% of your volume. It sounds like you are almost eating the mic while they are sitting across the room.
Again, really enjoy the content of the show, just needs some cleaning up/ polishing to make it sound more professional.
Nothing that can't be easily fixed. Keep up the good work!
