Checked out videos of vampire and based on this I'd absolutely recommend Eternium. Both games seem to be influenced by Diablo, but Eternium goes much more out on the action part. Not much walking around towns and chatting though.. or story at all.
Have you tried Eternium?
Eternium is a free to play action RPG that is inspired by classic games such as Torchlight and Diablo. It launched way back in 2014 and is still receiving new updates and features. Developed and published by a small group of old-school RPG fans, Making Fun, Inc., the developers hold a player-friendly, “no paywalls, never pay to win” philosophy.
Each hero class has access to about 20 abilities (skills or spells), and each of your three companions has four more. The game starts simple, but culminates in a flurry of tactical possibilities at high levels. All skills and spells are cast with touchscreen gestures.
All of this can be addressed if they make a PC counterpart. This will bridge the gap for PC gamers too. However, this means you'll be playing a mobile quality game on your PC, but at least you have that option. Also, you could crank the video settings as high as your PC would allow.
Eternium had done it well before. They have an installer for Android and Windows.
The game itself is actually free, just this bundled version has currency to go with it. I've played only a little of it, up to like the third level because it wanted me to go online to load more. It's very gesture-based (you draw simple patterns to use different attacks) and I didn't play to the point where you might get more party members.
Worth a shot to look at the version on GPlay anyway.
mage and minions, quite f2p (im at 36lvl atm, still got some "diamond" upgrades available, but you can grind p2w gems just by playing)
[edit]: can't recommend it anymore, at some point, the difficulty level is so out of balance, the game forces to be p2w or at least very grindy. With a quite good start, it ends with 1/5 * at least...
I played eternium when they released a big patch like one year ago. It looks nice, had 3 classes when i played, No need for using real money, has a craft system for items, trials (time based dugeons like rift in D3) and can ne played on PC too.

It worth it - try it ;)

Spent hours as a paying customer on this game, for a very reasonable price. I have spent money on this game as well, as you read.
What I said is, it's ludicrously expensive to move fast in this game. There's no way to deny that. Ads are limited (Android); the rate of energy recovery is so slow and the coin prices so high that there's no way to play fast without paying unreasonable money.
This is obviously a design decision to maximize revenue, and I think that would be perfectly fine if either energy recovery was much faster or coin price much cheaper. As it is now, I find it sends a disgusting message to users who love the game but don't appreciate the slow pace
I would recommend checking out Eternium in that case, as it is one of the best RPGs that come close to the Diablo vibe on mobile. Has no pay-to-win aspect or greedy IAPs, which that alone makes it an exceptional game on mobile.
I'd recommend Eternium. Definitely has that old-school hack and slash charm. There are ads, but they're totally optional (and the rewards are kinda worth it, though). https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.makingfun.mageandminions&hl=en_US&gl=US
Good game you can even play with the same accounts on PC and Android, pickup where you left each game on different devices.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.makingfun.mageandminions
I'm surprised nobody's mentioned it, but Eternium is the best diablo-like on android. It's like the 'path of exile' of android.
Eternium (mobiles best Diablo-like Arpg!) Is rated 4.8 based on 1.2 million ratings.
It's the only mobile game I would ever rate a solid 5 personally because it dominates its genre easily and can be played fully free without any real restrictions gameplaywise.
The gem shop offers gear which is frankly completely pointless as you will drown in loot of all rarities rather quickly, as it should be! No P2W mechanics anywhere, this is a SINGLE PLAYER ONLY game! No forced guild or friendlist bullshit!
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.makingfun.mageandminions
The game had a namechange early on but the store never updated the link, lol.
Also worth mentioning:
Postknight, featuring a 4,8 from 146K ratings.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kurechii.postknight
Linkme: Postknight
My bad misread it, i'm on mobile so doing a bunch of other things at the same time. Here are a few more that you might like then:
Mages and Minions: Diablo/Dungeon Crawler style game: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.makingfun.mageandminions&hl=en
PostKnight: Hybrid scroller/rpg game. Not sure how to describe it, but a lot of fun. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kurechii.postknight&hl=en
I played Eternium: Mage and Minions a bit. It was fun for awhile, but ended up being hard to progress without buying in game currency. Maybe you'll enjoy it.
Some people on here like Crashlands, some really dislike it. I thought it was decent. It's premium, so no IAP.
It's free, so no loss if it's not to your liking. I just wish I had more suggestions since I generally like ARPGs too.
Mage and Minions is another one I've seen suggested elsewhere.
eternium is a decent game. I didn't really get any further into the game because I lost interest. I think you can play it offline too.

Rpg based Eternium is quite good. There is a loyal userbase too. No ads. IAP is there but that's optional. Personally I felt that the game is good. There are 2 types of missions. A part is complete able.

I never played the game so sorry if this is wrong, going of screenshot, I remember a game called "Eternium" not sure if it's like PoE but good luck
Try Eternium. I've been playing it for a while. The ad videos were completely optional, but the devs plan (the last I checked) to remove those completely.
Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.makingfun.mageandminions&hl=en_US&gl=US
Game features copy & pasted from their About section:
Eternium! Very much in line with Diablo style gameplay. Gesture based spell casting with highly customizable characters. Lots of crazy end game crafting and a decent pvp community. I got really far into the game only spending a few bucks when I really wanted the shinies. I think it's easily doable without paying a dime.

Try Eternium. Much more like Diablo than AQ3D or WoW. Were you aware you can play AQ3D on computer as well using Steam?

Rewarded ads seem to be the go to of ad types. I highly recommend you install Eternium as an excellent example of rewarded ads. I would bet that game makes more money off ads then actual purchases.
Someone mentioned offering rewards such as double coins/loot or 2 hours of X boost. Those I uninstall. They tend to go over board making regular game play useless. It becomes an ad simulator vs an actual game.
there are (at least) 2 games that aren't basically shit and don't abuse predatory practices:
Whether or not that's good enough for you, that's another story.
Thanks, I hope you're right! At the moment I'm playing Eternium - it's not an MMO/PVP, but it's got this whole Diablo 2 vibe to it so if you're into that you should check it out. :)
I'm surprised this isn't on here. Eternium (App Store, Play Store) is by far the best mobile game I've played in a long time. It's a near-perfect mobile transition of the Diablo game series. It's very addicting and the controls are surprisingly intuitive.
Ah, since you are not looking strictly for turn based check out Eternium. It's a game that gets recommended here a lot and has nice graphics. It's not really my cup of tea and but I know it starts out relatively simple.
Like u/tertle I think this system would be much better for a touch screen than a mouse.
Eternium has a gesture based skill system that works decently. Though the gestures seem much simpler than yours, I.E. a simple V or O shape rather than circling repeatedly like you are. That's not to say your system couldn't work; one of the things I don't like about Eternium is that having such simple gestures basically just amounts to having traditional hotkeys.
I'm having fun with Eternium. It is kind of like a mobile Diablo. It does have some micro transactions but I haven't felt like I needed them. You get gems pretty frequently and I've hit level cap and always had enough to buy my upgrades.
Eternium (formerly Mage & Minions) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.makingfun.mageandminions
This game is totally free and developed with the gamer in mind. It plays like a PC game, with super deep playability and constant looting, building, battling, crafting, etc.
IAP's aren't necessary at all, no Energy or Recharge, and there's really almost no ad's. It's definitely the best game I've played lately. I know it's been out for awhile, but its playability alone puts it so far ahead of any games made since. I've been playing an hour daily for four months and have not run into any "pay wall".
You might like Eternium: Mage And Minions or Crashlands.
Mage and Minions ? Diablo 3 esque game. Lots of grinding for items, which you collect and craft into (possibly) better items, gems and stuff to upgrade things. I don't know, maybe not what even close to what you're after.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.makingfun.mageandminions&hl=en
Since no one else linked it, here you go.
It's probably not what you are looking for, but Eternium Mage & Minions is quite a good ARPG with no stamina system.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.makingfun.mageandminions
Here's something I mostly wrote earlier about some Action RPGs / ARPGs.
Eternium: Mage and Minions. Free with ads and IAP, no timers/stamina that limit game play time. You can definitely play awhile without spending anything, but I ran into a point where it was either grind a lot or buy stuff. I got this through a Humble Bundle that included $10 worth of IAP and it didn't last long. If you like F2P games with microtransactions, you may like this game. I personally prefer premium purchase games without IAPs.
I did like the gesture/drawing to cast spells and thought it was fun for a bit. There's a couple different classes. You find items and can also craft items, although it's kind of a gamble.
Wayward Souls. Premium purchase, no ads, no IAP, no timers/stamina limiting game play time.
Hack and slash. There's up to six classes you can unlock by playing. The dungeons are mostly randomly generated. You'll find forges that upgrade/change your abilities for that run. When you die, you start over, but keep the gold you find which can be used for permanent upgrades. There are also waypoints you can unlock if you want to start at certain areas.
The game uses a virtual controller and has system where it's something like tap to attack, long press to charge attack, swipe up to use one ability/spell, and swipe down for another. Took a little to get used to it, but it worked fine.
Crashlands if you like crafting, lots of crafting, but it's just the main character you play as. Premium purchase, no ads, no IAP, no timers/stamina limiting game play time.
There is a lot of different areas, to the point that some people find the game repetitive. I had a good time mostly, but got burned out trying to upgrade all the pets.
You tap to move your character and tap to use items. I didn't realize at first that you just need to move near the monsters to attack them, so I was constantly tapping on them, which got me killed a lot. Once I realized that you auto attacked, that the game is more about positioning your character correctly, and learned how to dodge the enemy attacks I did a lot better.
Couple more:
Battleheart Legacy. Has like 10+ classes. Premium purchase, no ads, no IAP, no timers/stamina limiting game play time.
Exiled Kingdom. Up to three classes in full version. Available as a free, content limited version, with IAP to unlock full version. No ads, no extra IAPs after buying full game, no timers/stamina limiting game play time.
Implosion. I played a bit and it looked like there was a second class you could unlock. You find items you can equip between missions. Game is free to try out for the first six missions, which you can replay as much as you want. There is a single IAP to unlock the full game. No ads, no timers/stamina limiting game play time.
Eternium looks nice with 4,8 Star Rating: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.makingfun.mageandminions
Stardew Valley is a great game too with no Microtransactions but it costs 9€: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.chucklefish.stardewvalley
Pixel Dungeons is a nice free game without Microtransaction but you can donate them: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.shatteredpixel.shatteredpixeldungeon
I'd definitely recommend Eternium if you want a basic dungeon crawler RPG
Un petit diablo like.
Here's something I mostly wrote earlier about some Action RPGs / ARPGs. Most of these have hack and slash action like Diablo. They all have ways to improve your character, whether it's through leveling up, finding/equipping items, earning upgrades, etc.

Eternium is pretty good
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.makingfun.mageandminions
Here's some Action RPGs:
Eternium: Mage and Minions, three classes. Free for awhile, but I ran into issues with the game becoming super grindy if you didn't do microtransactions.
Crashlands a lot of hack and slash with a lot of crafting. $5 USD. There is a lot of gameplay, but it can become a little repetitive.
Wayward Souls, six classes, hack and slash with some rogue-lite elements. $7 USD, but it's part of the Humble Mobile Bundle with a bunch of other stuff including another ARPG, Mage Gauntlet.
I recently downloaded, but haven't had a chance to try Implosion. It says the first six missions are free to try out of the game, then $10 for the rest.
Best i've found is Eternium

I do work from home now so i use only DeX setup (covered all experience on here in 5 different posts)
What i like about DeX. i can do a lot of thing what i need with only my Tab S6. No need of windows.
Some of windows program alternatives on android works the same and sometimes better. And one of the good thing about that - most of windows program alternative on android are free or much cheaper than windows side.
I do play two games at the moment on my DeX
Eternium https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.makingfun.mageandminions
Hero Siege - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.panicartstudios.herosiegepocket

I don't know if you'll find something with PoE's crazy big skill tree on Android (Grim Dawn on PC is pretty good), but here's a couple ARPGs for Android:
Eternium: Mage and Minions. Free with ads and IAP, no timers/stamina that limit game play time. You can definitely play awhile without spending anything, but I ran into a point where it was either grind a lot or buy stuff.
I liked the gesture/drawing to cast spells, but probably everyone wouldn't be a fan. There's a couple different classes. You find items and craft items, although it's kind of a gamble.
Wayward Souls. Premium purchase, no ads, no IAP, no timers/stamina limiting game play time.
