I would recommend checking out Eternium in that case, as it is one of the best RPGs that come close to the Diablo vibe on mobile. Has no pay-to-win aspect or greedy IAPs, which that alone makes it an exceptional game on mobile.
I'm in the UK so don't have servers yet, and this is how I got it....
Install a VPN I used Hotspot Shield, sign up for the 7 day (or whatever it is) free trial..... Don't worry once you install LifeAfter you won't need this!
Sign into the VPN and connect to a USA server.
Then clear the data/cache of your app store and sign in using a different email account.
Search for LifeAfter and install (it's just over 2gb)
Go into your phone settings and change the language to - English US
Now you should be able to log into the game... You can now cancel the VPN free trial and uninstall! You can also sign back into your app store with you're normal email account, but you'll have to either keep the language in your phone on English US or change it every time you play (I've kept mines on, doesn't affect anything) The devs are working on the European and other countries servers, and by the way they get things done I'd be confident in then being available in the next couple of weeks!

Use Astrill VPN. And I'm nothing to do with college. It's home wifi or 4g I play on
Its doesn't matter, I can play the game without it. Regarding the healer and ads, if I start the game with the VPN open, wait for it to load a little, then quickswitch to turn off the vpn and switch back, the healer will be there or I'll be able to see an energy ad. Actually very handy cause the healer can be manipulated a little
Messing with files may corrupt game data. Try this if it's not too late https://www.reddit.com/r/LastDayonEarthGame/comments/7sk7t1/game_deleted_solution/?utm_source=reddit-android
Basically log in on a new device. I suggest knox https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vphone.launcher
I was just about to quote the same thing asking the same question, but then I saw your comment and thought "Oh cool, someone already asked." Then I saw that /u/StarfoxNA never actually answered, and, well, if I had to describe how that made me feel using one word, I'd say: sad.
I know Don't Starve is kind of similar, but I've played the hell out of that and would much rather play it on PS4 than mobile.
One game I have played personally is Krafteers which has a similar, albeit basic, concept. It has true multiplayer, I believe local only though? But that worked for me as I would play with a friend. Might be worth a look.
Agreed, Don't Starve is pretty complex, with the main problem being that it's so unforgiving (rogue-like) and doesn't actually explain how anything works—which I suppose is part of its charm, but it can be frustrating.
And I'm glad you mentioned Crashlands. I actually purchased it a few months ago but never played for some reason. I'll have to give that one a shot and see if it scratches an itch.
There is also Zombie watch, though I haven't tried it, my potato tablet is not compatible. I don't think I'm missing much. The reviews are really negative.
Edit: Looks pretty much the same but even less polished.
