Simple Burn-In Preventative Steps:
Fullscn Free - Use it to get rid of status bar when using apps for extended period of time (navigation, Boost for reddit, etc.). Pros: has a quick toggle in the ~~navigation~~ notification pull down menu so easily accessible. Cons: have to reactivate it when you restart phone and removes back and software home button function, and doesn't allow you to use keyboard to type (so best used for browsing like Boost or Navigation) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=me.dt2dev.fullscreen.free&hl=en
Nova Launcher has ability to hide status bar on your home screen. I set mine with gestures function where I double tap to toggle on/off.
Samsung Internet browser automatically goes into full immersive mode when you scroll through the webpage. Best internet browser IMO (for other reasons too like fingerprint sensor instead of writing out passwords)
As mentioned by others, auto hide nav bar. If you choose to leave it on, Fullscrn Free will hide it when toggled.
Rotation Control - Switch things up by using your phone upside down once in a while (useful when charging and want to use phone in portrait mode since charging cable will be on top). Also has a convenient toggle in ~~navigation~~ notification pull down menu. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.crape.rotationcontrol&hl=en
Other suggestions?
Fulscrn - hides the status bar and home, back, and multi tasking buttons at the bottom, giving you a full screen immersive experience. Biggest drawback is that the back button and keyboard won't work while they are hidden, so its best for browsing apps with their own in-app navigational methods (i.e. many reddit apps). Nothing like using relay for reddit in all its glory across the full 5.7 inches of the screen.
I opted for the paid version because it hides ads (they are non obtrusive anyway) and, more importantly, gets rid of the associated wireless permission. It small and lightweight and amazing.
It's been a long time since I last used it, but here is an app that forces a fullscreen view, hiding the status/navigation bar. It doesn't always play nice with games, from what I remember, so I'm not sure how well it'll work with CoD Mobile.
I was wondering the same as well, I removed the status bar using a third paty app, but there was a black bar in its place.
Apparently the game does't support immersive mode yet, which is a bummer :( i hope they add it soon.
You can use Fulscrn Free to put the phone into immersive mode. This isn't exactly like an app that will natively go under the camera, but if the app supports immersive mode then it will do what you want. The main difference is that the status and nav bars are hidden.
You need to toggle it on and off, but it's better than nothing.
Use this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=me.dt2dev.fullscreen.free
It won't be a good solution for most apps since it causes the back button to disable, but for games like Sonic CD it will work fine.
I just ordered the n6 should be here today, but my buddy has it and says he uses this app (see link) to prevent screen burning and he hasn't had an issue yet

Fulscrn. Keeps apps running in full screen ("immersive mode") and hides onscreen navigation buttons on apps that persist them, thus lessening any chance of any burn-in on the 6P's AMOLED.
Actually you can via apps like this.
