Zombies, Run! (With the brand new release of season 4 they've switched to a free to play model, which was a little weird but pretty fair. The subscription fee is pretty steep but you can get by with a free account just fine.)

Geocaching is fun you have to follow the clues and find things, it's normally a lunchbox full of little trinkets and a notepad so you can sign it after you have found it, lots of fun, take a pack lunch and make a day of it they are all over the place, you can also do your own if you want to, be carful if you go today its way too warm to be outside for too long
So the Official App will show you all caches if you are a premium member. Otherwise you'll only see the non-premium and low D/T tier caches.
The c:geo App will show you everything even with a free account. With the caveat you won't be able to see the cords on premium caches but they will appear on the map.
Honestly, c:geo is a little clunkier to operate but has so, so, many more features that it's the best app to use if you're using your phone to find caches.
I've the Geocaching app on my phone. There's loads of them around the country, even in random spots in Fermanagh. Belfast is riddled with them.
...though I've never bothered to look for them myself. Imma lazy.
Just remember if you're going to take anything out of them to return something of equal interest/worth in.
Tons of them all over the city/province. Get the app and go hunting! One thing to look out for now coming into winter is look for ones that have ths “winter friendly “ attribute. Basically this means its still findable with 4 feet of snow on the ground:)

Download: Geocaching sign up for an account. Then you have the option to pay $5(?) a month to get access to all the caches, or you can just do the easy free ones.
There are even a few around downtown Buffalo. Urban caches are still my favorite. Hidden in plain sight. ^ ^
Also if you are going to do ones in the woods/parks, make sure to bring a friend in case something happens.
It's the new geocaching app. The old $10 one is still around but now there is a new free one with a completely revamped interface.
I used the geocaching.com app, it's the best I've seen. I haven't geocached in a while, and it looks like some changes were made to their app. It used to be free with a basically mandatory in-app purchase, which I paid for. But now it looks like the free version does more, so not sure how far you'll get with the free stuff.

You find little containers with a log, and sign your name. Sometimes the container is larger and and you can trade items. https://www.geocaching.com/play

FYI the official one is free now. I'd recommend giving it a shot.

For occasional geocacher, the official app should be enough. They added offline lists, their premium maps are very good. You need to be a premium though.
For more experienced folks, c:geo is a better alternative with more options and features than official app.
But for the extreme use, I would recommend Locus Map with Geocaching add-on. It takes some time to get used to and some tweaking to make it user friendly, but it is a best.
I use a combination of official app (simplicity, speed, maps) and c:geo (more control, quickly see all photos for hints). But I'm still a noob with < 200 finds.

They have a website as well with the exact same information. And they rate the geocaches by difficulty. =)
There's a jumping house, it's nothing too fancy but you might find it fun.
Winterfest, Basketball match, Board game night
Also, i can recommend you these apps:
Geocaching- you might find it fun to explore the city this way
Extasy- stuff do to around town. There are like 15-20 activities listed here
