If you have a PC/laptop, Destiny item manager is more detailed. But for simpler stuff, just moving guns, Ishtar commander is wonderful
You can also add that people can use DIM for managing items very easily on their PC or they can use Ishtar Commander if you're on console and have a mobile phone. Seriously, these things are game changers.
Also, I'd say auto rifles aren't totally unviable for PvP. I have an outlaw/killclip Halfdan-D that shreds in PvP. Age Old Bond is a similar weapon to the Halfdan and there's also the Cerberus +1 just as examples. Other guns can definitely be better but I wouldn't throw out the option completely. Play with what you're comfortable with :)
Just wondering if there's anything different from other apps that do the same thing. (Ishtar commander)
both of these are free apps, but there is some "competition"
may i introduce you to destinyitemmanager (desktop/browser) and/or ishtar commander (mobile app)?
If you have Android(not sure this app is out on iOS) download the Ishtar Commander. You can transfer stuff from your postmaster to your guardian without going to the tower. Helps prevent a full postmaster and losing items
Alrighty, first thing go download this app called Ishtar Commander. It will help with moving gear around and overall is one of the best apps for destiny. 2nd. Start running strikes and doing SLR. The reason for the app is there's a option to to equip all your highest level gear to your character when they are in the tower. It is built into the app. The reason u want to do this is when you decrypt engrams (blues and above) they will be your light level or a little higher. So you always want to wear your highest lvl gear when you open engrams. From there is honestly a light level grind. Play the game, have fun. Do bounties, play some pvp. Best way to level up quick would be Archons Forge. My trick so that you get into a large group already in the forge is Crouch walk right as you walk into the building that leads to the Forge. You are more likely to get into a group of people already in the forge and The forge can be difficult by yourself.
Here's the app link
Sorry for the clunky format I'm on moble
My bad, when you mentioned it being off topic and referred to ghosts I thought you meant finding dead ghosts specifically haha.
What most people are saying is the options for that currently are thinned because the API is blocked. I use Destiny Item Manager to manage the equipment I already have. It does have the quality % on armor rolls. Sounds like some folks use Ishtar Commander, but I do not know all the functionality there.
Edit: Just to be clear this time, this does not show you what the vendors are offering, but what you currently own. What the vendors are offering is completely unavailable right now because Bungie is blocking the API. So nobody has that access without going in game.
Don't be like Bungie, Don't forget the others !
DIM = Destiny Item Manager ! https://www.reddit.com/r/destinyitemmanager/
Ishtar Commander - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.unintuitive.IshtarCommander&ah=yyWt2btzFhpRzMXQeZ1y7F0WgAo
These are two of the BEST additions to the game period !
Here is a link to the play store
Fairly new myself but Ishtar Commander will let you track quests in the Progress tab and swap/vault gear.
Fairly new myself but Ishtar Commander will let you see quests in the progress tab and also swap/vault gear.
By the way, you can also use Ishtar Commander for Android or Apple or Destiny Item Manager for a computer to use the vault while doing missions or exploring. Super useful since you don't need to fly to the farm or whatever every single time you want to equip a different weapon (you'll get to a point where you have more than you can fit in your inventory)
Ishtar Commander - Polished and really good, no timers though unfortunately.
> Ishtar Commander
How do you say it's only browser based when a link to an itunes store app is provided?
Android version - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.unintuitive.IshtarCommander
Here's My Vault
No where near the largest, but I've got quite a bit of stuff.
Anyone curious about the App, it's "Ishtar Commander" on Android.
I think you can maybe publish it as long as you're not monetizing it in any way? I know apps like https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.unintuitive.IshtarCommander exist without problems, despite using a lot of "Bungie Content", probably because they're totally free.
A free alternative to the standard Destiny typeface would be Arial, btw.
I use ishtar commander since it has very handy maxmalise light level(searches across all characters and vault for weapons and armor which can be equpied), return to previous gear(it even sends items back to vault other characters) and custom loadouts.
While not a website, the Ishtar Commander app is the best item manager.
If not DIM, then one of the other inventory management et al tools out there. It'll save you having to go to the Tower for your Vault, plus everything else OP mentioned.
DIM's UI/UX may not float everyone's boat, so here's a few others I keep bookmarked:
Keep in mind with both DIM and D2 Checklist, you can import a wish list of perks on a weapon or armor piece that you're after, and it'll give a thumbs up on that item if it matches what you're after. Super fucking helpful for quickly IDing god rolls.
I'm sure others have TONS of tools out there, but find the one that fits your style. I don't have these apps open 100% of the time, but I jump between a few to find what I need for that moment, or some downtime at work to manage inventory. If that's one thing I can fault the game for is the lack of in game inventory management tools that things like DIM can offer.
Destiny Item Manager for desktop
Ishtar Commander for Android or iPhone
Both are legit. Nothing to worry about. They both just call the publicly available API released by Bungie. They aren't capable of deleting items, if you're worried about that (the API doesn't support that).
I can't play Destiny without one of them. Especially if you have multiple characters, using an inventory management app is almost necessary if you value your sanity.
It's on Android as well:
The item manager app Ishtar Commander shows the number value in addition to the bar graph. Not affiliated just love his work.
Isthar Commander for Apple
Ishtar Commander for Android
As does the web application DIM - Destiny Item Manager
edit added DIM
Use a 3rd party app, you can swap loadouts with a single touch.
Destiny Item Manager for Chrome (desktop):
Ishtar Commander for IOS/Android:
LOL yea there are 3 main ones that I know of
Ishtar Commander - iphone/android
Vault Item Manager - android
Destiny Item Manager (AKA DIM) for PC, think they are working on mobile versions
You can even use them when you are in game, IE if I'm on my Titan, I can just use one of the phone apps and transfer items to him from my Hunter / Warlock instantly, they are super useful.
Destiny Item Manager works amazing for your laptop/tablet.
My go-to app for mobile is Ishtar Commander:
Hope this helped!
It is out for Android. I keep both iOS and Android identical. Just search for it on the Play Store https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.unintuitive.IshtarCommander&hl=en
It is not the case. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.unintuitive.IshtarCommander
I also use this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.richardpinedo.towerghostfordestiny
These should make your item management significantly easier. Never go back to the tower to dismantle blues again!
Ishtar Commander for Android
Ishtar Commander for iPhone
That's a good one. I personally prefer DIM or Ishtar Commander (though Loadouts is still in the works).
I don't remember where the interview was, but I believe Mark Noseworthy has confirmed this won't be supported in-game. There are third-party resources like Ishtar Commander (apple | android), as well as Destiny Item Manager that do support this, and are really excellent resources for item management in Destiny.
They will be supporting Destiny 2, but they have said that there will be a delay between launch and support.
What is best is subjective because of the perks that will be useful for you. The main thing people focus on is stats. Tier-12 (meaning you can light up 12 of the Intelligence, Strength, and Discipline tiers in combination) is what most focus on reaching along with 400 light. The perks just need to fit your preferred playstyle (such as reload and ammo perks for weapon types you use most often).
To see the "tier" capability of your gear use an inventory manager such as Destiny Item Manager, Tower Ghost, Ishtar Commander [iOS / Android], etc. Most apps (I use DIM) will show you the quality rating of your gear (more accurate the higher light the gear is). In DIM for example - 96%-99% Tier-12 possible, 91%-95% Tier-11, 86%-90% Tier-10, less than 85% is basically junk for stats.
You're welcome. ;)
>(misc) The worlds most amazeballz™ Item manager for Android and iOS just got even more amazier.
>EDIT: Turn on Armor Grading in the settings. It is off by default as most people are not the max/min statisticians we are.
>App Store Link
>Google Play Store link
>* Updated look. Not 0.04% better but maybe 400% with extra drool.
>* Armor grading (find a mix of gold and silver items if you want to reach 12 Tiers of cooldowns e.g. 5 Intellect, 5 Discipline and 2 Strength). The rating is for when the item is infused up to 335 as this is when it gains its max stats.
>* details for test weapon bounties, runes and even sparrows now show.
>* Weekly checklist for Nightfall, Kings Fall and Trials of Osiris (armor, weapon and flawless per character).
>* Japanese support.
>* The app will now return to the last character used on opening.
>* The back key closes the app on Android!
>* Various other minor tweaks and fixes.
>If you want to see a video of the features https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=opUSAKc2ABk
>If you want to see a deep explanation of what on earth armor grading and a tier 12 build is see here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5suXPWtk6dI
>This video explains why the UI is so different for this feature in Ishtar and why you won't be getting your ~~crazy~~ beloved percentage numbers.
>What is Ishtar Commander?
>Imagine instead of the standard mobile companion app you got a true window from your mobile device to the Destiny UI. A real companion that would sit and help you with the daily grind and move everything between characters at light speed. Now imagine it looks and sounds just like the Destiny UI. Now imagine it is totally free, no adverts and no nag screens. Now stop imagining and download it!
>But why should I use this instead of the Bungie app?
>Because it is amazing. I don't just say this. The app is well on its way to 200,000 downloads with a vast majority of 5 star reviews. If you want to see what someone who is obsessed with Destiny and mobile apps can do then check it out. I did mention it is free right?
>This release is the first one where I got some help beyond my AMAZING beta test team (hugs and kisses to you all).
>First of all @getrrk provided the amazing new icons for the checklists as well as proposing the entire updated look you see before you. HUGE props go out to him.
>Then I want to thank @asacre45 for the overall Japanese translation as well as Satoshi Yokotani who helped with text you see at startup. If you speak japanese please check out asacre45's blog.
>Who knows if anyone is still reading but if you are this is probably the biggest release of Ishtar so far. In many ways with all the features it has and the checklist this is now the app I envisioned 9 months ago. Apple wipe the reviews with each new release so it would mean the world to me if you could leave new ones! I know this is a quiet period in Destiny land so I hope it keeps the hardcore that are still around supper happy.
>EDIT: D'oh I forgot to thank the amazing people in the community that worked out the math behind armor grading and did a ton of research to make it as accurate as possible. Props to /u/cornman0101 /u/iihavetoes /u/TerminalSarcasm and all the others that did the hard work.
After the story stuff is completed and the seasonal story stuff is competed whats left to do is level up using the gold star objectives. They reward powerful or pinnacle gear.
The next cap is called powerful cap (only powerful, pinnacle or prime engrams will get you there). This season that cap is 1560. Once at 1560 the only way to level is through pinnacle items, that goes to 1570. Every season it goes up by 10, so next season soft cap will be 1520, power 1570 and pinnacle will be 1580.
The reason leveling up is the next step is so you can start doing harder content. maybe do higher diffculty nightfalls, maybe do a raid, or a dungeon. Basically you are at the point of the game where its do what ever you want. Do you want to do the hardest content? Maybe you want to make a cool build, so you need to find the weapons to make it work.
I saw you mention krait as a gun you like. Check this link out and see what perks it can roll with see if you like one to aim for, try it out on a different gun. https://www.light.gg/db/items/2852052802/krait/
that site lets you look up weapons and what perks they can get.
also recommend getting an item manager app. here is a couple i use one on phone and the other on pc. but both are on pc and phone.
look at your triumphs and what you still need to complete on your charcters
tells you the best way to maximze leveling up
help find the best stats you can have with the armor you got use in combonation with DIM
this is another site to check out the weapons
i know iv given a lot but there is a lot to do and learn some not as intuative as it should be.
for lore checkout
for other things this guy seems to be the best for new commers
datto has good raid guides (he not for everyone though)
same with this guy
i enjoy these guys for builds and talking about things
this is just a fun montage guy
ok im gonna stop now. also play around with objects you can pick up. some let you melee which can be used to go faster. some let you throw them. and in the corrupted strike if you throw them at a friend and they are looking at you it makes the ball stronger when it blows up (aka thrown at an enemy)
I started making loadouts with Ishtar commander.
I do it all the time with Ishtar Commander
> is there any way to transfer something from one character to another?
On PC: DIM is recommended.
If you'd like to instead use your phone: You can actually still use DIM, but I personally prefer Ishtar Commander (Apple/Android)
There are other phone apps for inventory management, but I prefer those two overall.
Note: Those both authenticate via Bungie, so you don't have to worry about giving your password to some 3rd party.
Additionally, you can simply head to the tower in game, deposit something into the vault, swap characters, and pull the item out of the vault on that other character.
it does but people say they like ishtar more
play store link
Ishtar Commander! It's my companion TO the companion app. That and Braytech, which is the Obsessive OCD cousin of the other two apps. I like IC because I can actually change equipment, move it between characters, and manage my self on the go.
Here is my list of digital resources:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.unintuitive.IshtarCommander&hl=en_AU (Also on the App Store)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.unintuitive.IshtarCommander how about ishtar commander then?
I suggest looking into DIM or downloading Ishtar Commander for Android or Apple
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE make this happen!
Meanwhile, apps like Ishtar Commander, Vault Item Manager and ItemManager (website) will help.
This last website's UI is a little odd. The list shows everything, and tapping on an item MOVES it to the character/vault selected at the top. So if you want to move items into the Vault, you'd select Vault on the top row and then tap items. To move something to a character, you do the same. Select the character first and then tapping items will move them to it. The search filtering is a God-send for slogging through items for infusing.
Cross-damage weapon archetypes are nice, but they do introduce a level of tedium for managing infusions.
Now, if you want a whole OTHER level of confusion, just WAIT until you get to legendary MODS... That's a whole other clusterf*ck of hassles.
>Yes Ishtar Commander the blingest way to manage all your loot from your phone finally hits 2.0.
>If you don't know what Ishtar Commander is then shame, shame shame. It lovingly recreates the in-game gorgeous UI on your mobile device including the look, animation, sounds and even smells* of Destiny. Speaking of potential smells, it is totally free and has no adverts.
>* Uses Bungie's new secure login to keep your personal details safe and secure. If you have trouble logging in hit me up in the comments. All issues can be solved.
>* See your gear and transfer it around at light speed.
>* No more trips to The Tower**
>* Max light, create loadouts, and even farm engrams.
>* See your armsday orders.
>* Settings to show lightlevel, hidden stats and bronze-gold armor grading for reaching Tier 12. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5suXPWtk6dI
>* Distribute and gather materials between characters.
>* Checklist for Raids, Nightfall and Trials completions.
>* See all your characters in landscape (if you have a large phone or tablet).

>So what is new?
>2.0 does not bring a lot. All the raids up to 390 light can now be tracked and a new Rise Of Iron login animation replaces the original. Behind the scenes a lot has changed and over the coming weeks plenty of new goodies (See your vendors? I know you want that now they reset weekly) will be coming. Existing users you need to log out to see the animation https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ICIMIFkOJmg
>Going forward the new features will only be ones where there is a fair chance they can be reused in whatever Ishtar evolves into for Destiny 2. Yes you heard it here, Ishtar Commander will be coming for Destiny 2. Just don't expect it to work on Day 1.
>At least my phone smells close to my PS4 controller.
>*Providing you never want to decode engrams, pick up bounties or finish any quests. Hmm or several story lines. Okay would have been fairer to say radically reduces trips to the Tower and you never need to use the stinky vault there.
Destiny Item Manager
Ishtar Commander - Android
Ishtar Commander - Apple
Ishtar Commander is so much better than Tower Ghost.
Try this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.unintuitive.IshtarCommander
They also have it for iPhone
