Hi, we've published an app that makes this even simpler. Just open it, select Pokemon Go from the list of installed apps and it'll always keep the screen on while Pokemon Go is loaded - otherwise the screen will shut off like normal.

Most phones have a native option to keep the phone interface from going dark. But if yours doesn't you can use the Keep Screen On app to override the system timeout per app in order to remain on. It won't affect other apps using the system default timeout.
I know you might be looking for a Joey feature. Just figured I would share something that I use on my phone. it is an app called Keep Screen On. And I use it to make Spotify keep my screen on while playing in the car. Just select the apps to make it stay awake.

Apparently you are not able to do this, so I was forced to just leave whatever music player I was using onscreen fulltime. With Pandora that was no problem because there is a setting to keep the lockscreen from coming on or to keep the screensaver from kicking in whenever Pandora is playing. Google Play Music unfortunately does not seem to currently have that setting so I ended up having to install a different app to keep the screen from timing out. Might not be the result you were looking for :( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.openappinfo.keepscreenon&hl=en
I had this problem too. There's an app you can download called Keep Screen On where you can set certain apps to stay on all the time. It really helps. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.openappinfo.keepscreenon&hl=en
One way to accomplish what you want it's to use an app like Keep Screen On or something similar. I use that one to keep the screen on whenever S-Note or Samsung Notes is open. While it's not triggered by the s-pen, it accomplishes the same objective of keeping the screen on while you're taking notes.
As someone else mentioned, you can also use Tasker to do this, and while I do use taker for me complicated things, in this case, I just find the app so much easier and simpler to use.
"Keep Screen On" by Open App Info, allows you to keep the screen on for apps you select. Your regular timeout takes over when the selected app is no longer in focus.

It's from the Google Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.openappinfo.keepscreenon - there are other similar apps, perhaps you've got to find another one that works for your device.
> as soon as the phone is idle the player stops.
I had to disable Battery Optimization for the RadioDroid app to prevent it from cutting off when listening after the screen goes dark. Alternatively, you could use Keep Screen On (no ads) to keep the screen always on.

The link works fine for me. MD5: Keep Screen On 1.37.apk = e45f4c1fbfbb6dee1021b29a149b0e4a
The version at apkpure.com uses the same MD5 hash as the one from Google Play Store, so it's a safe alternative.
Not exactly what you're looking for, and this might be the app you found, but I use an app called Keep Screen On that does just that based on any user selected so being open. So I have it set up to keep the screen on any time S-Note or Lecture Notes is open. I usually open S-Note or Lecture Notes bus the air command pop-up when the pen is pulled out, so while it doesn't do it explicitly based on the S-Pen being out, it could still accomplish your objective in an almost automated manner.
A few harsh ratings can significantly lower the average score. One must be careful when parsing Google Play app reviews. In an ocean of five-star reviews for the OTG Endoscope app, a two-star review demoted the app for inability to focus. That's most likely a hardware issue. Another two-star review faulted the app for going to sleep, which can easily be fixed with a 3rd party timeout app. My point is that some people are harsh graders and blame an app for hardware faults or Android design features.

>You need to activate Developer Mode first (tap the Build number entry in the About phone menu in Settings seven times) and then choose Developer options from the Settings menu. Choose Stay awake and as long as your phone or tablet is plugged in, the screen won't go to sleep after a certain period of time.
or if you want it to stay on even when not connected to power, install an app like https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.openappinfo.keepscreenon&hl=en
Keep Screen On (by Open App Info)
App allows you to enable specific apps to stay on when they have focus. All other apps abide by timeout default.
It does what it says, you can choose which apps it works with, I mainly use it for reddit sync and a few others.
I was sick of having to unlock my phone everytime to check it in between loading times playing games or whatever.
It's just handy.
Didn't really think of using an external app for making my screen display turn on all the time... thanks for reminding me that it's possible!
anyway I found something else https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.openappinfo.keepscreenon is this reliable enough?
