My personal favourite is Magium. It's an RPG fantasy game. You can try to stop playing it, but you won't be able to. Only problem is it takes a while to update. We get a new chapter about every month. The third book has just started.
Edit: check out r/Magium too.
I've been really enjoying this one https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.magiumgames.magium
If you live out in the middle of no where it would be a great opportunity to learn and practice some survival skills
If you don't mind text based games, I highly recommend Magium. It's a story based RPG game, you start as a regular guy in the middle of a mage tournament and progress through the story based on your decisions. You have attributes like in Hogwarts Mystery, but you can choose which one to improve and your decisions actually change the gameplay and result in different outcomes.
Good tip. I love me some text based games. Thanks OP.
/edit: Let me hit you back with Magium. Check it out if you haven't already. For free CYOA game I can't recommend it enough.
Magium
It's a great cyoa game with good plot and story writing that I plated continuously for 3 days. It's not like it's very addictive just that I have no self control.

Jak ktoś umie jako-tako w angielski to polecam gierkę Magium na telefony
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.magiumgames.magium&hl=pl&gl=US
Magium it's kinda a CYOA book, now that I think about it it's just straight up a RPG.

Did a quick search of any CYOA game on the play store and found a game called Magium that roughly fits your description. The premise is also similar to what you have described.
It's not that good, but if you want a semi-interesting free story to read, this might do.. It's a Google Play link, but I'm pretty sure it's also available for other devices and as a regular book on Amazon.
Hello there, r/writing!
I'm a student who is currently about to enter my winter break, with no plans at all. I recently started taking interest in writing, and I want to incorporate that to my passion: coding!
Long story short, I'd love to have an author's guidance to convert one of their stories, or a brand new story, into a text-based CYOA mobile app!
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.magiumgames.magium
This is an example of an app that I had in mind. I would be more than happy to try to create any features upon the author's request to create better story immersion.
I plan on making this a free, no-ad game, as my very first work. Any reasonable credit that you wish to be placed in the game will be included.
I was actually wondering if this sort of request is allowed here in r/writing? Please advise on the best action to take, as I've only stumbled across this sub twenty minutes ago.
A text only Choose Your Own Adventure game with an amazing story and characters. I discovered it a couple weeks ago. Seriously, if you can handle the lack of pictures, you should definitely try it
Also, reigns is really really fun (manage your reign in a tinder-like fashion, and try to trick the devil)

/r/magium: Magium is a text adventure game where you play as an ordinary guy trying to win a mage tournament against the most powerful mages in the world, in the hopes of winning the grand prize, and using it to fulfill your lifelong dream of becoming a mage yourself.

If you’re looking for a choose-your-own-adventure there’s Magium https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.magiumgames.magium
Even has its own subreddit.
I suppose it's not really a game, but Magium is a really fun choose your own adventure with rpg elements: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.magiumgames.magium&hl=en
Sorry for taking so long to get back to you. I had a nap, then spent at least 3 hours in Magium...like a text based RPG. I'd highly suggest it. Anyways......
With such a high priority on root (and with most manufacturers shying away from it), others have given you good advice with the OnePlus 3T (price: Fra 3.299 kr). Here is a link to a bunch of root/ROM/developer stuff, and below is why I think the OP3T is right for you.
It's got one of - if not the best developer community on Android. Nexus used to have this title early on, but after the Nexus 5 (late 2013) Nexus phones got expensive again and many developers stopped buying them. The OnePlus One came out in June 2014 - great timing for an inexpensive "flagship killer" that came preinstalled with CyanogenMod (most popular ROM up until a few months ago when it's corporate side killed it...but that's a long mostly unrelated story). Anyways, ever since then developers have supported all OnePlus phones very well.
OnePlus is a Chinese company, and not a house-hold brand...but they're well respected in the tech community (even just looking through /r/Android and other posts here you'll see OnePlus' phones are suggested very often). I'm not sure what you mean exactly by guides (if for rooting, see that XDA link above...for more general guides it's had really good exposure from the Android community so I'm sure you'll find whatever you're looking for).
The OP3T has a metal body that isn't really an original design (check out HTC's One M7/M8/M9), but it still looks great. I haven't actually seen one in person (I'm in Canada, pretty far away from 'tech hubs'), but I've only heard good things about the build quality and materials. It's got some of the best internal hardware too - tons of RAM, a large battery, one of the better processors (I could go on a Qualcomm VS Exynos/Kirin rant here but suffice to say it's one of the best). The display is 'only' 1080p, but has over 400ppi so it'll be perfectly fine unless you want to use VR with it.
Check <strong>Magium CYOA</strong>, free IAP link.
Looks like a great CYOA gamebook fantasy with lots of content.
