Maybe your phone doesn't support more than 2 touches at the same time?

You can test with this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.the511plus.MultiTouchTester
That's miui playing tricks on you. Here: Instructions to test screen issues. (GT)
Good luck.
Apps like this can test how many simultaneous touches your phone supports. If you are using an emulator, it may be the emulator's limitations.

Yes, I have the same issue, mostly toward the bottom-left of the screen. If you check the reviews on Otterbox's site, there are many complaints there as well. Check those out and call the toll-free number they respond to those reviews with - they may end up replacing all or part of it, you never know. I plan to do this tomorrow.
Also FWIW, you can install a multi-touch testing app like this one on Google Play that responds to touch and can tell you where the screen might have other sensitivity problems.
There is one more app which confirms issue with multitouch.

Try to touch screen with four fingers spaced apart and then swipe all of them together up and down. The number showing on screen keeps fluctuating but I did the same test on my S9 Plus and it remains at four and never fluctuates.
Different devices can detect different amounts of simultaneous touches.
Use an app like this one to see how many yours supports.
I use this one

My guess would be most good phones should support 10 (for your 10 fingers if you can manage to put them on a screen at once. :) Really only viable for tablets).
This app will let you test a phone out: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.the511plus.MultiTouchTester My Nokia 8 supports 10.
5> is probably what most phones support.
Ok, I tested it with my own device. I searched for an app similar to yours and tested it... and found some minor lag/latency. But then I tested with few other similar apps and I did not notice this issue in other apps. So, I suspect the app you are using is also somehow adding to the latency.
Try with this app for example(it shows no lag for my pocophone) - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.the511plus.MultiTouchTester&hl=en_IN
from what i do know, iphone 3 has a multitouch of at least 4-5 fingers, samsung s2 onwards have a multitouch of 10. Generally most touchscreen device that are not older than 5 years old would have a minimum of touchscreen 4. you might wanna download this app to test your phone's multitouch function https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.the511plus.MultiTouchTester&hl=en .
Sorry to bother, but when you say everything is perfect does that mean flawless response from a multi-touch tester?
Also, I assume you need TWRP installed to flash the the boeffla kernel zip? I'm on stock YNG1TAS17L now with no changes at all. I would like to get the official update from OPO as an OTA but this touchscreen is so bad I can't wait. I'll give up gestures for a responsive touch screen any day.
My only hesitation is what does this do to my warranty and what do I need to do to go back to stock when the official OTA comes? Sorry if this has been answered before. If you have a link to reference I can read through that. Thanks in advance!
This app on the Pocophone and my OnePlus Ones LOS14.1 default camera app to capture it at 120fps.
I actually JUST did this for my 100% stock OPO. Multi-touch tester would spaz out when I swiped with more than one finger. I unlocked the phone (which factory resets) and it still had the same issue. I then booted TWRP without installing, flashed the kernel below with the new touchscreen driver, wiped cache/dalvik to be safe, rebooted, and now the tester works flawlessly. The screen is functioning perfectly.
Here is the guide to booting up the custom recovery (TWRP): https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/guide-ubuntu-oneplus-one-unlock-the-bootloader-install-twrp-and-supersu.55931
Here is the kernel you can flash with the fixed driver: http://boeffla.df-kunde.de/bacon/boeffla-kernel-cms/cm12.0s_download/Test/Series%203.x/boeffla-kernel-3.0-beta7-CM12s-bacon.recovery.zip
Note: UNLOCKING WILL FACTORY RESET YOUR PHONE AND WIPE ALL DATA SO BE SURE TO BACKUP ANYTHING YOU NEED (PICTURES, VIDEOS, MUSIC FILES, ETC.)
You can install the custom recovery permanently by using "fastboot flash recovery <filename>.img" or you can just boot it directly using "fastboot boot <filename>.img". Then you can just tap install and select the kernel zip above, select to wipe cache/dalvik (just to be safe), and reboot to a working touchscreen!
MultiTouch Tester might help you determine if it's the game or your device
Wanna see something new? They just explained to me that batteries and displays can heat up and that i should charge my device to full at night.
It's getting pretty ridiculous:
Hello LeGEnsu,
Thanks for reaching out. I apologize for the inconvenience that this have caused you. May I asked if the phone was dropped or exposed to liquids?
This usually caused by overheating of the display screen. Typing fast will sometimes lead to extra unintended touches
The CPU is located in the surroundings of the Rear View Camera, and the material of the camera can transmit heat quickly, so you can feel the phone hotter in these areas.
We highly suggest that you close some APPs which are working in the background that you don’t need at the meantime. You can also adjust the brightness of the screen and don’t use your phone while charging, your phone also needs to rest.
On the other hand, you can confirm the usage of the battery in the settings. If there is something abnormal, you can uninstall the APP that drains the battery fast, or you can backup your data and reinstall your system to solve this issue.
This is a common issue with all LiPo batteries. I would suggest power-cycling your phone three times. Just follow these steps: 1. Let your OnePlus One completely run out of power, until it shuts down. 2. Plug in your OnePlus One to charge continuously, uninterrupted, for at least 6 hours. 3. Repeat Step 1 and Step 2 for three consecutive charge cycles and your One Plus One should reach 100% when fully charged.
One final suggestion, it might be best to do Step 2 overnight to conveniently allow your phone to charge completely uninterrupted. . These are the steps that you can do after doing the steps above: 1. Pull notification down, press back button and then restart device. Restarting the device help help reactivating the firmware of the device. 2. Install Multi-Touch tester application from the google play store. 3.Test how many touches are detected. MultiTouch Tester app from the Google Play Store (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.the511plus.MultiTouchTester).
3.Test how many touches are detected. 4. Please send us a video simulation for the multi-tester. If the touch responds that means its already resolved.
Thanks!
Best Regards,
Install a multitouch test app (like this), if that is fine then it could be a software issue.
It's this app.
Could you test it with app like this:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.the511plus.MultiTouchTester
There are programs that test for simultaneous touch inputs.
Wow, this is really odd!! I tested it and it literally won't recognize more than 2 fingers! How did you know to test that? Can you try it on your phone too?
This is what it looks like: http://imgur.com/6wWZxGq
And this is the app I used: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.the511plus.MultiTouchTester
Same results also on Display Tester: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gombosdev.displaytester
