WARNING Editing the build prop may cause device instability if you muck it up. Read up first, esp for your device. I recommend reading the xda forums on build.prop tweaks, lcd density (dpi), dalvik cache.
You can edit your build.prop text file. It's just a note pad friendly plain text file.. Can't remember the file path. That's basically the file that defines your Android settings upon boot. Samsung phones have very badly optimised build.prop values that limit the true potential of their hardware.
I use Rom Toolbox Pro (there's a lite version too. Play Store) to tweak my rom and kernel. And it has a built in build.prop editor. You can search for LCD density and dalvik vm heapsize
I lowered my LCD density to 370dpi from the obscenely high 480dpi. Less pixels to render, more performance. Please note this will make your screen real estate much bigger and icons/text will look much smaller. Great for me, making full use of my phone's big screen. Cons, some apps may look cropped if they're fixed to run on a certain dpi. Eg. Camera app.
Dalvik heapsize. I'm not a tech guru, someone correct me if I'm wrong, is a part of your system that stores app specific settings and data. So that apps don't need to be configured and optimised across reboots. Mine was 512mb by default, I only realised when I switched to slim custom rom, that it used 768mb. I still prefer Touchwiz by Samsung so came back to my precious stock rom but made that edit. Really helped with overall performance, esp for BF.
SD CARD read ahead cache or whatever just means the buffer that affects the read and write speeds to your SD cards, internal and external. Mine was 256kb I think. I use 2048kb now.
My settings may not work for you. I only hope it helps you if you wanna optimise your Android device. I'm still learning and it's been awhile since I tinkered with system settings of my old PC back in the 90s.
Rom Toolbox https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jrummy.liberty.toolbox has widgets for running scripts and since you're root you shoul easily be able to wipe any parition you want (even something like rm -rf , lol) and I believe it has some builtin scripts including wipe data
First you need to plugin the usb cable into the PC and then the phone, at which point you should receive a popup on the phone asking if you want to authorize this device.
If you do not see this popup either USB debugging is not enabled or you need to try a different USB cable or a different USB port on your PC. The ones on the back (directly from the motherboard) tend to work better than going through a hub or the front.
The tutorials I linked to should get you to ADB easily enough. You can always try downloading JRummy's Terminal program (ROM Toolbox) and try just typing the command on your phone.
I've fixed it already. What I did was (with Root access) install ROM Toolbox Lite and uninstall the stock clock. This app allows to uninstall any app from the phone, even those that can't be uninstalled originally. Then I just installed Google Clock. Fixed.
Try this for the manual method, never tried the non-rooted adb method though. This app works too, but you need root.
You may want to backup your phone too/make a nandroid just to be safe in case anything happens.
Don't use AdHell, it's been sold out and is useless now. You have to have root, after that use ROM Toolbox.
It used to be my go to. Check out Rom toolbox. All your tinkering tools in one spot.

Did you also install Busybox after rooting? I've changed the DPI on mine using ROM Toolbox Lite.
If you're already rooted, ROM Toolbox (Lite | Pro) is fantastic.
As for a recommended font...anything is better for the most part. Anivers is pretty decent. I'm still hunting for a font I used early last year and I can't find it. It was pretty much the perfect font and I'm so sad I can't find it. Q_Q
