:) I like to play it on Frotz. The website is basically just a way for you guys to test it out and see what you think. Once I have it "completed" I might make one with smaller ascii art or "art-free" for playing on phones. With something like Text fiction by https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.onyxbits.textfiction&hl=en
It's a slick little interpreter, but it mungs all the ascii art. I might also leave the ascii art out... but I like it.
I use Text Fiction on Android. It's surprising how well text adventures translate into a texting format. Though it sounds silly saying that now. =P
Or you can use the free Text Fiction app and play Zork and a ton of other interactive fiction natively. No emulators required!
I tend to like adventure games, so sometimes I load up an Interactive Fiction interpreter and just download some good IF to type into for a while. It's not at all intensive on your phone since there are no graphics.
You can download most of them off ifdb.tads.org and there's also an included downloader in the program I linked to. As for actual IF games to recommend, the classics are stuff like Zork and Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Of the modern ones, you could check out Lost Pig and some others. Here's a list of articles about IF which has a ton of cool games, of every setting, you could look into!
Grab yourself a zcode interpreter (this is a good one: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.onyxbits.textfiction&hl=en) and off you go.
There are a few native adventures too, but the back catalogue of zcode stuff should keep you busy for a while.
Interactive fiction like The Spider and the Web or Zork. Where you type what you want the character to do. Its very fun and there are sooo many games of all kinds. Just download a free "text fiction" reader and all the games are free too. Theyre all very small downloads and obv will be used offline
This is what I use
Frotz for iPhone or Text Fiction for Android are platforms for Interactive Fiction games, where you're presented with a story and descriptions of your surroundings, and so you must type what you want to do, like "take spoon" or "walk north". It's pretty cool if you liked the "Choose Your Own Adventure" books :)
If you download Frotz, I recommend beginning with the "9:05" story; it's short and simple, but very fun
One of these. Another one. After that, you can download and play any Z code and (for Hunky Punk at least) Tads IF. Not graphical games, but a lot of fun.
& also be aware that a lot of the games on the IF database are written in Z-Code and interpreters exist for just about every platform (including iOS and Android) so can be played anywhere. e.g. https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/frotz/id287653015?mt=8 & https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.onyxbits.textfiction&hl=en
Ok... I tried Text Fiction and in actual fact I like it more than Fabularium! So I'll make this my default recommendation 🙂👍

What about Text Fiction - Play Zork!, it's all text and puzzles and hundreds of games.

Text Fiction is a z-machine interpreter. It allows you to play the thousands of interactive fiction games, very similar to CYOA games, that you can find in places like the IFDB and the IF Archive. There are many different formats so you need to find z-machine ones in particular, but fortunately they are probably the most common.
Get yourself a Z-machine interpreter like:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.boxofrats.zmpp4droid
Then get you games from:
Text Fiction - Play Zork! | 4.2 rating | Free | 100,000+ downloads | Search manually
> SYNOPSIS: TextFiction - An interpreter for interactive fiction stories (aka: terp, z-machine, text adventure engine, interactive book reader) DESCRIPTION: West of House This is an open field west of a white house, with a boarded front door. There is a ...

I have tried this app on my Android phone that lets you play text based adventures. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.onyxbits.textfiction
There's the 'Text Fiction' app. You can play original Zork there, but it also has a database full of text games.
