One of my favorite games for Android is The Silent Age and it operates off the premise of time traveling between two periods. It doesn't quite offer the scope of what you're describing (which sounds awesome!), but it is a similar concept. I'd definitely like to see more effort put into time travel games and I like your mystery game idea. If that doesn't exist yet hopefully it will someday soon!
It's 257MB now no idea what it was before. It's hardly huge though.
Play store link since nobody else has posted it.

There's a game like that, it's called Silent Age and it's a 2d point and click game, pretty cool ngl

I'm enjoying The Silent Age The puzzles are fairly simplistic compared to SCUMM type games, but its still quite fun.
The Silent Age by House On Fire isn't the most graphically intense game, but it's beautiful and has a wonderful art style that makes every set piece look like a masterpiece. Go check it out, I highly recommend it!

The Silent Age
EDIT: Btw you are supposed to post it in the daily thread here
I enjoyed the look, gameplay, and story of The Silent Age. Ditto for The Last Door series, but you may not like the the lo-fi graphics.
I got a few hours out of The Silent Age, if you're into that sort of game. First chapter is free, second (final) chapter is $4.99, which obviously you'll know if you want to spend to continue after the first half. Some of the puzzles didn't really make too much sense and I found myself looking up a walkthrough a various points, but it does have a story as well.

Free, but it looks like the second episode is not.
Hey /r/IndieDev.
I am one of the developers of The Silent Age". Shortly after graduating from university I got a job at House On Fire at the time when they had just released episode one for mobiles. Now two years later episode two is out and the game is released on Steam. Whoop whoop!
The Silent Age" is a point-and-click adventure where you play Joe the janitor as he tries to save humankind from extinction. The game is quite unique IMO for it's story, fun puzzles, time travelling mechanics and atmospheric/moody surroundings.
The Steam release includes both episodes (plus HD graphics, voice recordings and achievements) and has a launch discount of 35%.
I hope you check it out and give me some feedback. Did you like it?

The employer turns out to be unclean, and Joe soon finds traces of blood that lead to test labs. To prevent the tragedy, which he involuntarily became a witness to, Joe is forced to use the time machine and correct mistakes of the past. The plot The main gameplay is tied to the solution of the puzzles of different complexity, scattered in ten story chapters. The part of them uses the plot “device” - the ability of the hero to travel in time. In the PC version, all game dialogs are voiced, the ability to use UltraHD textures is added, and for the version on Steam more than 20 achievements are available and the ability to save the game in the cloud.
