Hopefully if you try and restrict them to this app it might help avoid those videos:
We do two things - One is a curated list of videos that we pick beforehand and then play on our TV with a Chromecast (but you could set up similar things with any other media device - Roku, Apple TV, smart TV, etc). The other is the YouTube Kids app (Android, iStore). On that one the kid has more or less free range as long as they watch it with an adult nearby.
It has existed for years... mostly pushed on tablets as their app though, which is what most young kids use to watch videos. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.youtube.kids&hl=en
Downloaded over 300,000 times now.
My kids use YouTube Kids. They're 4 & 6 and it keeps their interest pretty well, plus it has parental controls.
They are
I'll also update this with screenshots from YouTube kids too. At work now.
This is where users not reading "fine print" is a problem. Youtube Kids App has millions of videos on there which cannot be vetted 100% by a company. They use algorithms which, of course, can fail. As with the rest of YouTube, it's down to community flagging a lot of the time to remove inappropriate content:
> However, no algorithm is perfect. This means your child might find content you don’t want him or her to watch. If this happens, please flag the video -- we use these flags to improve the app for everyone. https://support.google.com/youtubekids/answer/6130561?hl=en
It isn't like that wording is obscured either, it's also on the Playstore page for the app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.youtube.kids&hl=en_GB
Parents can turn off searching (as shown in the link above) and Google put the warning there to say "yes this can go wrong". It isn't marketed as safe, but as "safer" which is an important distinction. In the same way it is safer to cut off a finger than it is an entire arm.
This is a shitty website... no app links.. clickbait article..OP you should better post the links
Here's the link of app- https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.youtube.kids
Parents absolutely sit their kids in front of YouTube all day. Kids programming is among the most widely searched content on YouTube; we have a whole app devoted to kids (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.youtube.kids&hl=en) and kids drive tons of watchtime.
Youtube kidsってアプリがあるんだな

説明でWe’re as focused on kids’ safety as you are, so we’ve built the YouTube Kids app to be a family-friendly place to explore.(我々は親目線で子どもたちの安全に気を配っている、だから安心して動画めぐりをできるアプリを作ったんだ)なんて謳ってるのにコレじゃいかんわ

>It's called "Elsagate" if you are curious.
A couple of years ago. All of that has mostly been cleaned up by now. The biggest issue with YouTube Kids programming is it can be excessively product-focused (like Ryan's Toys channel), but my understanding is that they're going to clean that up soon too.
By the way, I hope you're specifically referring to the YouTube Kids app and not YouTube. It would be insane to let a toddler use YouTube unsupervised.
Yes also YouTube kids is now available in Pakistan;
iOS:
YouTube Kids by Google, Inc.

Android:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.youtube.kids
That isn't the YouTube kids app, looks like regular YouTube. Regular YouTube is not setup for kids. YouTube kids has a very kid friendly interface.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.youtube.kids
they have a separate funnel that nobody uses that filters videos
Along with that the tablet market has segmented and there's durable colorful cheap tablets made for children now
https://www.amazon.com/kids-tablets/s?k=kids+tablets
those things come pre-installed with the "kid" versions of the media consumption apps.
Just in case you are 8 I would stick to games or YouTube Kids, it's the best app for you. Reddit is for when you are older. People aren't always nice on Reddit.
Use this app instead. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.youtube.kids&hl=en_US
Youtube for Kids.

What you're looking for is YouTube Kids. Different app, set up for your kids. Also this is YouTube TV subreddit, for more accurate YouTube information, try the YouTube subreddit.
This https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.youtube.kids&hl=en ? I never had problems, and when bad content is recommended by any chance, a quick block (or report) just keep it clean and safe.
Check out Youtube Kids. It's the kid oriented version of youtube. It has educational channels, entertainment, and that sort of things.
Well, there's this. But I do agree that a 4 year-old probably shouldn't have their own iPad unless it's locked the hell down.
Be aware that if you ever enter her real birthday on the account, the account will be locked and deleted in 30 days (legally, users have to be >13 years old).

If you live in Argentina, Australia, Canada, Ireland, Mexico, New Zealand, or the United States, there's also the YouTube Kids app available for iOS and Android.
It's an app apparently.

Same. I use Youtube Kids because she always seems to find those stupid ass videos of those kids being little shits to their parents and spitting stuff out of their mouth. She is a very busy gal and its about the only thing that keeps her in one spot longer than a minute. But she would rather be outdoors.
Probaste con youtube kids?

There is also the YouTube Kids App
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.youtube.kids
What about Youtube Kids?
Have you tried the Youtube Kids app?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.youtube.kids&hl=en
On my daughter's tablet there's YouTube Kids, PBS Kids Video, Disney Movies Anywhere, Kid Mode, and of course, Netflix set to 'Young Child'. Don't know why I put so many video apps on there, since all she does is play Subway Surfer and some Barbie make-up/hair salon game.
Ok, linkme didn't work, here is the real link https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.youtube.kids
They are referring to the app as not YouTube kids. And it isn't. Look here at the difference in ui
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.youtube.kids
Maybe you should set up a youtube kids account. Also again of course they wont do anything about it, its a normal video that someone made. The creator shouldn't be punished because its low quality. Youtube kids might be your best bet since it has better Quality Control. youtube kids website for more information. Play Store download App Store download
Youtube kids maybe....
