Extract from ethfinex whitepaper -
> • Market makers trade throughout the month on the platform.
> • 50% of total trading fees paid by the maker and the taker are directed into a smart contract.
> • At the end of every 28 day cycle the NECs are issued, and distributed to market makers in proportion to the total trading volume they conducted as a maker during that month.
> • A redeem mechanism will allow holders of the token to claim a reward at any time, using up their tokens (i.e. a user who holds 5% of tokens issued would be entitled to claim up to 5% of the reward held in the contract).
> • If the market maker wishes, rather than redeem the tokens instantly they can then choose either to hold their tokens longer term, or to sell them to another market maker."
So ZRX is still used for trades done through the decentralised portal on Ethfinex whilst he Nectar Token can be considered a loyalty token for Ethfinex users/market makers.
> I went pretty deep
How deep are we talking here? 5-figures? 6?
Also, EVERY human makes IRRATIONAL DECISIONS.
To deny that is to be Irrational.
See Predictably Irrational.
Anyway, as a fellow HODLER, I wish you luck.
Also, I agree, 0x is VERY hard to explain to newbies, so one of those simplified animations with simple analogies would be helpful.
For what it's worth, this is my attempt at a simple explanation of 0x and ZRX.
So nobody's gonna talk about the 0x elephant in the room?
What exactly is the relationship of Wario and Waluigi... both to each other and to the Mario Brothers themselves?
According to a Nintendo character guide from 1993, Wario is NOT in fact an evil twin of Mario, but is actually a childhood friend who was "jealous of Mario, both for his skill with a plunger and his dashing good looks." What about Waluigi?
We know Wario appears as a baby in Yoshi's island, and Waluigi is not there as a baby as well, so it seems unlikely that he is a brother to Wario like Luigi is to Mario. While this might not be evidence enough on its own to deny a familial relationship between the two, in an interview with Kombo in 2008, Charles Martinet--better known as the voice of Mario (as well as the other 3 characters)--seems to agree that the two are not brothers:
>You know something? I don’t actually know if [Wario and Waluigi] are brothers or not. I don’t think so… I think they’re just two nice, evil guys who found each other.
So there you have it--coming from the voice of the men themselves, Wario and Waluigi are just 2 lovers trying to have fun in life (playing tennis, riding go karts together) and find their way in this crazy Mushroom Kingdom like the rest of us.
Have a great weekend everybody!
Anchors! Independent companies can issue a token that they interchange for BTC, ETH, USD, etc. It's a little bit like Tether's USDT except the companies haven't been accused of fraud. It's up to the asset issuers to ensure audits so their token is trusted and liquidity so it can actually be bought/sold, as well as produce a deposit/withdrawal flow.
The interesting thing is that this is actually part of the role Coinbase fills--they're an exchange, but when you deposit money you aren't getting BTC outright. Because they control your wallet, when you deposit money you're trusting that Coinbase will let you extract the coins you've purchased. Stellar has a DEX built into the protocol, so it fills the role of exchange, and the anchors provide the mechanism for holding different types of assets.
Next time use any Ledger Nano s or blue, your private key will not stay on your computer and u will can be less anxious about security, because with blockchain, you are your own bank :)

Also, you can maybe consider buying again ZRX before the price jump again ;) https://coinmarketcap.com/assets/0x/#markets
The Ethfinex white-paper states that they will offer, "Integration of 0x protocol and several other decentralised exchange protocols, to allow them to interface and trade with Ethfinex user’s liquidity"
@0xProject tweeted, "Excited to be collaborating with the @ethfinex team to bring decentralized exchange tech to the people!"
If you have an Android device you can quickly set-up a chroot linux environment using LinuxDeploy on your device and bamm, full desktop!
Purchase ETH or BTC on CoinBase or GDAX with your credit card. Then send those funds to Poloniex, EtherDelta, HitBTC, or any other market that trades ZRX.
I initially thought Binance, but it was DNT & OAX they just listed I was thinking of, haven’t listed ZRX yet. As another commenter pointed out ZRX has already been listed on BTC9. I’m largely unfamiliar with Chinese exchanges though, so I don’t know what the volume is like on either.
From the 0x project's token site
Total supply is 1 billion, with 50% being sold in the ICO. Currently there are 500,000,000 ZRX in circulation. Token price during ICO was $0.05 USD/ZRX.
Hi u/TheTotemWins 👋 any changes to your staked ZRX (move or remove) goes into effect at the end of the current epoch. We just entered a new 7-day epoch cycle, so can you please check "Your Account" to see if your ZRX was removed from the pool?
Also, feel free to join our Discord server, where we have a staking help channel. It may be easier to help you there assuming you still have an issue.
This more recent statement sounds ominous for ZRX:
Restrictions on U.S. Persons Trading Certain Digital Tokens
Pursuant to the recent report of investigation issued by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Bitfinex is taking the proactive step of barring U.S. customers from trading certain digital tokens that may be deemed securities in the eyes of the SEC.
The restriction will generally apply to ERC20 tokens issued through "ICOs" and will go into effect at noon UTC on Wednesday, August 16, 2017. No trading of these tokens will be allowed for U.S. customers. At the time of this post, the tokens active on Bitfinex that will be subject to this restriction are EOS (EOS) and Santiment (SAN).
Once again, we regret any inconvenience this change in policy might create, but we believe this to be a prudent measure given the regulatory uncertainty surrounding such digital assets.

Do you feel ZRX would be classified as "ERC20 tokens issued through "ICOs" above. What effect will this have on the auction on August 15, 2017.
I'd also recommend Coinbase , then using shapeshift. Purchased 2k through shapeshift using their 'Precise' exchange method, took about 20 minutes before it appeared in myetherwallet.
Creditcard > Coinbase > Shapeshift > Myetherwallet
All about 35 min worth of work and very straightforward. I also purchased some on liqui but lost a bit in their fees and minimums. Much prefer the shapeshift method.
^this. If ERC is reading this, I'd rec reading (https://thenextweb.com/dd/2015/03/08/how-to-reduce-friction-with-good-design/) you dont want to increase the number of steps it takes to do the thing your app was built for.
Most likely a phishing scam since the whois info shows that it was registered on 10/23/2018 through namecheap.com. the 0xproject.com is the valid domain and was registered last year though google. Kinda surprising to me that the 0x team wouldn't register similar names to prevent exactly this kinda thing.
If you're participating in the hackathon, be sure to check out the Discord chat channels for the event, as well as the FAQs just put up this week. There's tons of handy links to documentation and other helpful information, and the 0x team has office hours for those looking for assistance in design and development.
