The Saar Commune

The Saar Commune is a landlocked unitary Marxist-Leninist one-party socialist republic bordering Germany in the east, France in the south and in the west, and Luxembourg in the north. It was declared in 1955 by Erich Honecker, who returned to his birthplace after the end of World War II and managed to sway the voter's opinion towards independence instead of reintegrating into the Federal Republic of Germany.

From the breakdown in terms of the relative economies, it seems an obvious ploy to benefit the richer Northern California?
My favourite point of divergence that I've come up with is letting Erich Honecker return to his birthplace of the Saar after WWII. Read about it here: https://www.nationstates.net/nation=the_saar_commune/detail=factbook/id=main

If the Allies had Fallen. These are in general much closer to scholarly articles than fictional stories.
There is no victory, there is only not losing as badly, some sort of negotiated settlement that leaves Germany/Japan in charge of a larger portion of the world, but primed for another war with the U.S. in the near future.
Well, '36 is as far as the official timeline goes. I haven't thought of anything past this. If you have any ideas about how that could possibly go (flashpoint likely in East Europe or Latin America), or just have general questions about the map, feel free to share them with me.
Visit https://www.tumblr.com/blog/kaiser-of-the-four-romes for related information, or don't. I understand if you would rather keep out of tumblr. Ugh, the interface is hell.

Thanks this is probably my biggest post on this subreddit, and im sure not many future projects will pass it. Due to me being in mobile (Android) I do not have inspect element, I use Lolie which doesn't work too well which is why it's weirdly cropped, it also has a 50% chance of not working. So yeah I use 3 different softwarws for each photo, thank you.
Its also the reason in part 2 it has a weird cut on the first photo
Why are the Americans wearing commie clothes and not glorious Yankee clothing?
Have you met a newfie or Albertan? I don’t see any in lower BC wanting this, and the québécois wouldn’t want this either. I’ve met plenty of folks from Alberta that wouldn’t mind being a colder version of Texas.
In fact, a book titled “Merger of the Century” by Canadian-American Diane Francis makes a compelling argument for the US annexation of Canada.

The Roma have several dynasties that have been recognized throughout time, if you're looking to create a history yourself.
I can absolutely recommend Maas' account of Roma politics in the Tene-Bimbo Clan in America.
There's even an entire book that tries to elaborate on this question:
Took a blank map, edited it in MS paint, then added flags in Photoshop.
Photopea works almost exactly the same way. Use the magic wand tool and eraser to delete the white space in between the boarders, paste the flag you want, scale the flag to fit within the boarders, and then move the flag layer below the map layer. Sometimes it helps to lower the opacity of the flag layer to make sure it fits properly.
When you're done, it might be a good idea to go back into paint to make the blurry areas between the colors on flags more solid.

This is a common trope of early 20th century sci-fi and even persists today. Often Venus is depicted as a hot humid jungle planet where dinosaurs or similar creatures still exist. Reptiles and/or amphibians predominate and there are no mammal equivalents.
I recommend the anthology 'Old Venus' by modern authors, Edgar Rice Burroughs' Venus series, Robert A. Heinlein's Future History series, S. M. Stirling's The Sky People and dozens of others.
Sky People by Stirling is almost directly the story you propose except that the first Space Race probes find intelligent but primitive life on Venus.
