This controller is made just for that. If you plug the chest freezer into it, it will keep the temp at whatever you set it. Only $15
Sometimes I do this as well. You can also get large reusable cold therapy ice pads like this https://www.amazon.com/Arctic-Flex-Flexible-Ice-Pack/dp/B01LY9ZFTC
I think the greatest whole body benefit will come from letting that sit on your face and upper chest area. But it feels great on all body areas. I really like my cold therapy slippers- it feels amazing on the feet.
I just read What Doesn't Kill You by Scott Carney. I thought it was a pretty good book about the WHM and some of the real world results he has seen.

I'm using an inexpensive, foldable PVC tub (like this one). I use frozen bottles of water for ice, so I can do cheap ice baths. I'm using the tub since I don't have a bathtub in my home. If you have a bathtub or can find a space for the foldable tub, try ice baths. I think ice baths are better than cold showers anyways (that's just my opinion though). Start off with just a little ice and only stay in the tub a short time and build up from there.
It’s an air quality meter. I got it for measuring VOCs in a new home recently. It also measures PM 2.5 and PM 10 which are harmful fine particle and large dust particulate matter.
I got the meter on Amazon. It seems like a lot of brands at the time were making this same one. In basic tests it seems to work fairly accurately.

Hey thanks, okay so I opened it up to Denmark on the Play Store. I haven't done any testing on Android Devices so your feedback would be really appreciated, thanks 😀
Hey yeah, in fact Google published it https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fyi.squareborg.godeeper I have not had any real devices for Android to test on, just the simulator which is really slow. So if they are issue let me know. Thanks
Makes sense.
I have a plastic bath that basically fits in my shower. You could use something like that with ice cubes.

Something like this.
In case you haven't seen it - this technique has helped many with tinnitus. It often has to be repeated over time and has limited value but its nice to have a tool of some kind.
The other thing I recommend is picking up a cheap Red Light Therapy lamp and shining it on/in each ear 5m a day with a rocking motion about 4inches from the ear/face. There has been mixed research into using RLT for tinnitus so no promises. It seems hard to believe that a light could effectively reach the inner ear but most good lamps include 850nm bulbs which are below the visible spectrum and pass through tissue. I started incorporating RLT into my Wim Hof breathing routine for skin rejuvenation and to attempt to heal some minor hearing damage from using headphones for hours at too high a volume. I swear it has helped with both but I'm not making any scientific claims. I just figured you might want some tools.
I also swear by breathing through the nose and not chasing higher retentions. These things actually go together as it IS harder to get long retentions breathing through your nose so you end up focusing on developing your nosebreathing quality (a whole other field of study). I wish these two things were emphasized by Wim.
I hope you can stay calm as you deal with this challenge. The lack of sleep makes everything much more stressful but hopefully the tinnitus subsides one way or another. There are a lot of people dealing with it so maybe there are some other tools out there to expediate diminishing its intensity.
Yooo Scott! Definitely going to read your book now. Impressive reviews on Amazon. Thanks for joining in.
2 questions for you:
1) Read this for an explanation on why it is exhaling: https://www.daniel-timms.com/wim-hof-method-biology-of-breathing/#retention
2) Use a timer app like Breathe Bunny [Disclaimer: I'm the creator]
3) I would say too dangerous for beginners to attempt it during cold showers. But every body is different. Generally, maybe in 6-8 weeks after you get a hang of both the breathing and the cold showers, should you attempt to do them together.
4) Don't think there's a hard rule for this, if you enjoy the cold water, do it longer.
I use these in -12 f and 32f water when surfing with no problems. I think they’re overkill for your needs.
My son broke his arm couldn't shower, we got him a neoprene cast cover. Something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Waterproof-Protector-Watertight-Bandage-Surgery/dp/B07RKMSZ7Z/ref=sr_1_8
It worked like a charm, and didn't let any water in. This isn't the exact brand we got for him, so I can't speak for this specific one.
I use these. I will say I tear it off in my sleep almost every night. I’ve only been trying it for a few weeks tho. It is a little addicting as I generally wake up feeling more rested.
This is what I use. I haven't introduced a heater yet, but the switch is capable.
Could you use a laser engraver chiller such as this one?
I've been using these, just pre-cut before freezing. Works great. https://www.amazon.com/Smartice-Ice-Sheets-Cooler-Cool/dp/B07N2K1V73/ref=sr\_1\_3?crid=XT6EQBFBB8VQ&keywords=smartice+ice+sheets&qid=1658357949&sprefix=smartice+ice+heets%2Caps%2C501&sr=8-3
I just bought this and looking forward to trying it.

This is an IOS app and there is no Android version at the moment.
However there is a free timer app on Android that you can easily use to achieve the same result linked to below on play store.
Just create two timers one called 'Hot' set to, say 4 mins; other called 'Cold' set to, say 15 secs. You can configure so 'Cold' starts after 'Hot'. Can also configure individual timer periods, alarm noises, colors etc.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.deakishin.yourturntimer
This obviously good timer for games with multiple players and timers for turns as well!
I'd recommend getting your hands on the book "Breath" by James Nestor. I breath in and out with the nose, because, as the saying goes, "the nose is for breathing, the mouth is for eating"
Found it on Amazon - two sizes and two colors. TY OP!

I've tried several apps and this one is the best IMO: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.GDimanov.breathing&hl=en&gl=US
The dev is working on improvements, has his own discord where you can report bugs. It also has a few awesome features the official app does not have. You can set how many rounds you want to do etc.

Use these! Keep the toes warm. I use them when it gets 20s and below outside and they help a ton.
And to elaborate, I mean something like a can of 95% Boost Oxygen like this https://www.amazon.com/95-Pure-Oxygen-Boost-Supplemental/dp/B077NPSQB2/ref=mp_s_a_1_2_sspa?keywords=oxygen+tank&qid=1642962124&sr=8-2-spons&psc=1&smid=A1DXN92KCKEQV4&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUFNRzVIM0hPMkZVOEUmZW5jcnlwdGVk...

Read into the flush and don't be scared when it happens. It's something you get used to.

This is...insane.
Rather than trying to figure out if WHM can be used to off yourself (highly doubtful), if you're that concerned about being abducted why not study ways to evade and escape?
I'd recommend 100 Deadly Skills as an excellent starting point, it provides simple instructions with pictures to help you evade, escape, and survive capture by bad actors.

Just add ice......
Extra Large Ice Pack for Back and Full Body. Use as Cold Compress for Pain Relief, Ice Blanket for Sleeping or Ice Pad for Physical Therapy. by Magic Gel (Reusable, XL) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073FCXTPM/ I don’t have one so I don’t know how well it would work
Seems to me you’ll never get the full benefits of WHM whilst smoking, but then you know that. Wim talks a lot about mindset. So I figure you need to see your self as a non smoker and then become one. Maybe visualise life without the cigs whilst doing the breathing.
FWIW - this book did it for me. And it actually was easy.

I'm really sorry about that but for some reason when I compile the app for android it looks and acts as broken. I can't figure out how to fix it so I just went ahead with the iOS version for now. But I'll do the best I can to try and put it on android as well..

Customer support was really good too. My power supply died after about 2 years of multiple people using the sauna everyday and they sent me a new power supply unit for free.
(Honestly, it was probably my fault because I got all my roommates addicted to sauna and we were running the thing probably about 5 hours a day most days which is way more than it was intended for. 4 people with different schedules using it at different times and it needing about 30 minutes to get to temperature took its toll)
I got the physical copy of his new book, and it's not less than amazing. You learn about the man himself from his childhood years, his wife (there is a chapter dedicated to her), the core of the WHM of course and the science behind it with the scientific research, I found it really interesting to get to know the man.
I found another option https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.breathebunny&hl=en_IN&gl=US . I think it's really easy to use and good enough!
Sure: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07W48P1HK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I am really happy with it. The chest freezer is a cheap 7 Liter one that I picked up at costco. It holds 14 ten pound ice bags. I usually use 80lbs of ice for my bath. I used 100lbs in the ice bath above - to show off :-)
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000NPCMZ8/ref=twister_B081QXZRLX?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
They might be sold out. But if i was you trying to get into cold plunges I suggest saving up for a chest freezer so you can take cold baths in the summer without buying ice.

Btw if someone wants chilling native american songs on his phone, there's one good app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.strongsun.nativeamericanmusic
I have one like this. There are many brands and very cheap. 1500 watts is plenty. https://www.amazon.com/BLACK-DECKER-Ceramic-Heater-Black/dp/B07JC7LH4R/ref=sr_1_10?crid=1PXE94TTAS91I&dchild=1&keywords=ceramic+heater&qid=1601159404&sprefix=ceramic+%2Caps%2C207&sr=8-10
https://www.amazon.com/Jarrow-Formulas-BroccoMax-Supports-Delayed/dp/B0013OVTM0
I found this on amazon. Is it safe If I took it without doctor's recommendation?
This inflatible soaking tub is cheap and well built. I'm 6'2" and can easily submerge my whole body in the icebath using this tub.
One of those camp showers - fill the bag with ice from the freezer and top up with water. https://www.amazon.com/Stearns-Sun-Shower-Portable/dp/B000NVDFOO/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1538510433&sr=8-5&keywords=solar+camp+shower
then just get a waterproof stopwatch with timer function. e.g. https://www.amazon.com/CDN-TMW1-Digit-Waterproof-Timer/dp/B0021AEALM/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1513798708&sr=8-4&keywords=waterproof+timer
You'd probably really like What Doesn't Kill Us (got the title wrong above). It goes into the medical side of things quite a bit.
