The Motion+ is great. I wouldn't say it's super fragile but I also would be careful about dropping it; it is also prone to getting dirt and it's really difficult to clean, but it's loud and the sound quality is unmatched for the size and price.
The only bad thing I have to say about the JBL's is that they're overpriced, and maybe they should be louder, but If you can get a good deal on one, go for it. I definitely prefer them since they've gone mono (charge 4+5) I would avoid the stereo one (3) I would still pick the Soundcore, but these are much stronger and won't get dirty as easily, plus they're easy to clean
You might also want to look at the Treblab HD Max or see if you can get a good deal on a JBL Xtreme
These Tiny little JBL's might fit in there, but nothing this small is going to sound very good
Not exactly what you're looking for, but these Shoulder Speakers might be a good option
Define "best"
First ones I'd reccomend looking at are the $100 Soundcore Motion+and $100 Soundcore Trance Go But it really depends how you are planning on using it, and what your tastes are.
Needing something with a USB drive, or tf card or whatever is really going to limit your options. This is one I like, but it's $200:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0898XSLK5/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_Z5PD8ERHRWJEP60CETHR
Watch out because the ones I'm familiar with won't be great for water, or getting sand stuck
If you paid $50 you're SOL
If you paid the Full $100 (which I hope you didn't) check out the Soundcore Motion+
Hey, what's you budget, and how do you plan on using it?
I was pretty happy with the charge 3, but the bass was pretty thin. I would only reccomend the Flip if you need something super compact.
To start with, check out the $100 Soundcore motion+ which has a great sound signature all around, but you lose bass at higher volumes. Also take a look at the $95 Soundcore Motion Boom which has good bass at higher volumes, but gives up clarity and definition for the rest of the range.
These are all built for compactness and your not going to get great sound out of any of them, but I think you'd do best with that JBL clip as it gets reasonably loud and doesn't sound terrible. I might also give this a look:
For better bass you need to go bigger, the little speakers just can't push out the low notes. What type of size / portability do you need? My favorite < $200 speaker for bass is this Audio Pro Addon t3 but it's definitely not something you can put in your pocket.
They're obviously not using a high enough quality USB cable. The Motion+ is an excellent speaker and you'll hear things that lower quality speakers hide because their dynamic response isn't good enough.
No, you need THIS CABLE with maybe an adapter.
At this $100 mark for a compact Bluetooth speaker, I'd suggest the UE Megablast (no aux port :'( ) or the Soundcore Motion+
How these will compare to those T100's, I've never heard them so I can't say, but I can say neither sound nearly as good as the Edifier 1280. These portable speakers aren't going to compete well with a wired speaker in terms of sound quality.
Bluetooth 4.2 is limited to 1mbps at best, which isn't enough for "lossless" Bluetooth 5 is 2 mbps rated, but unlikely to actually deliver 100% that. Aptx isn't "Lossless, it's less lossy.
You could use a lightning - 3.5mm adapter, but this would still be limited by the Iphones DAC which isn't great.
Or you could use your Iphone to control a dedicated streamer which would get you that lossless quality by putting everything through wifi.
That said. If you can honestly tell the difference by ear I will be super Impressed. Bluetooth 4.2 more than enough for me.
The best one I've used that's compatible with both Bluetooth and apple airplay while still being portable is the Audio Pro Addon C3
The XB33 sounds a lot like the Motion+ but I don't think it's as good. In any case, if you want another speaker just for fun, I would get one that sounds good, but as different to the Soundcore as I could. I might look at these:
$100 Soundcore Trance Go Bass heavy, has better definition at lower and higher frequencies, but lacks definition in the middle frequencie
I've been using the Xeneo X21. Cheap, supports SD cards and FM Radio. No issues since owning it from 2018. Loud enough and clear enough for the beach. https://smile.amazon.com/Xeneo-Portable-Wireless-Bluetooth-Waterproof/dp/B07FZ49KJJ/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=xeno+power+speaker&qid=1623766314&sr=8-4
Do you need a bluetooth speaker? Sounds like you'd be better off with some wired speakers.
You probably want a PA or Karaoke system. Take a look at this one:
This w king is a little more portable and water resistant, but isn't as loud.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08TTCHNP2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_S2S5DZ3FZ4SAF9S5PPKS
Take a look at the $100 Soundcore Motion+ and maybe the $160 UE Megablast
So First reccomendation is don't get a portable speaker. If you really need one, these 2 are the best for indoor listening, I think
$198 Sony SRS XB43 - only if you have a phone or laptop that supports LDAC
I think the JBL sounds a little better, but i would personally buy the UE, The JBL has passive radiators on the side which you need to make sure are open to get the best sound, and it doesn't have any way way to attach a strap. The UE is pretty easy to position, plus it's got a convenient place to attach a strap.
I would also look at the UE Megablast which I think sounds much better.
The go-to cheapo Is the Soundcore Motion+ but getting a bluetooth speaker (of any price) is all about compromises, so you gotta figure out how you want to use it.
You could do this using 5 separate Bluetooth transmitters, I'm not aware of a single one that would work this way, but let me warn you that there's a risk that the audio and video won't sync well this way.
I would propose trying this: instead of Bluetooth, try setting up an FM transmitter, you shouldn't have any syncing issue, and it's compatible with more audio equipment.
Between those 3 I'd choose the Motion booms. The W kings are nice and bassy, but almost sound like sandpaper in the treble, the flare is alright, but doesn't compare well to the motion boom.
That said, I'd also suggest look at the Soundcore Motion + Much better clarity than the boom, get louder and can be used with an Aux input if you ever need to. Battery doesn't last as long, but not a huge difference. Lose a Little bass at high volume.
24 hours. Check it out. You must be thinking Motion+, which is 12 hours.
I'm not a huge fan of the flip, it's not terrible, has decent clarity, but it's awfully tinny and doesn't get very loud.
Most obvious answer is to get a pair of bookshelf speakers, but if you need something portable, I'd see if you can get a good price on a Soundcore Motion+
You need to lower your expectations. To get all the way down to 20hz at any volume you have to go big. Even this giant high end bose S1 only goes down to 60hz before it starts cutting off. For 20Hz expect to need a 12" or larger driver.
That anker says 55Hz, and that might be true at really low volume, but at higher power it's more like 100-150, it's just too small.
For something you can fit easily in a backpack, take a look at the $100 Soundcore Motion+, for how compact it is it sounds great and get impressively loud; irrespective of price, you're not likely to find better for this size.
Bug questions: How big? How loud? How expensive?
I have this Altec Lansing speaker that's great for rafting or the beach, but you can certainly do better if you're willing to spend more or go bigger. It's also big enough to be inconvenient on a kayak or canoe.
Soundcore mini 1 is cheaper then the newer versions, and have pretty much same sound. It's really good for the price and size.
Soundcore motion+ is a great option for sound quality and portability. in your case it may be a problem because it get dirty easily and is really difficult to clean. I would also look at a UE Megablast or UE Megaboom which you can get refurbished for less that $100. These both sound good (the megablast is on par with the soundcore, the megaboom lags behind a little, but it's still fine) neither get as loud, but they're much better built and won't get dirty as easily.
The marshalls definitely pack a lot of bass, but I would never accuse them of lacking mids. I personally find them very good sounding, but won't compare to even modest bookshelf speakers. They all have EQ knobs on the top so you can tune the bass to your liking.
1 more I forgot to mention. probably my favorite:
I think the item name is prefixed with [Updated] so that'll tell you if you're getting the newer model.
If you're planning on daisy chaining, make sure to get actual stereo to stereo splitters - not those shuriken looking tossers that do a 5 way split but only send out a mono to each device.
I am using 3 of these UGREEN Stereo Splitter along with random 3.5mm to 3.5mm auxies along with a Logitech bluetooth hub thingamabob. Attached is the Soundbox XL, Motion+, HK Onyx Studio 5 and a Samsung Scoop.
Pretty great setup knowing that I can just unplug and take anyone of them out depending on the situation.
If you want one with zero noise, you should get something with physical switches on it. I know this boombox doesn't make much fuss:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07JDS2D2R/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_X7mdGbYQRG7J8
The dedicated bluetooth speakers all make some sort of feedback noise. The only one I know of that has an media slot and doesnt make too much noise is the Bugani M83, but it still makes some beeps and boops.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07T2JDQ3X/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_4bndGb3DQF87Q?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
My personal favorite would be the UE Megablast if you can get a good deal on it. This a little bigger than the JBL though. There's the comparably sized UE Blast that I think sounds good enough, but I would definitely opt for the Megablast.
And I'm not saying the JBL is bad, for it's size it's pretty good, I just feel it's overpriced.
I think the big question here is what your requirements for audio quality is and how much you want to spend.. Something like the Soundcore motion+ will have a 3.5 mm audio jack, and will sound OK for some music, but I wouldn't reccomend it for watching movies or listening to acoustic music.
My happy medium is the UE Hyperboom this has a 3.5 mm port AND an optical port, and sounds good enough (to my ear) for pretty much any music and movies. At $400 though you could by a better home theater speaker + a decent portable speaker.
Have you heard the D9? I have only seen 1 video on the D9, and it wasn't a great comparison. I dislike recommending something that hasn't been thoroughly vetted.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/W-KING-60W-Bluetooth-Speaker-Built-Black/dp/B08KZJFC2F/
None of these tiny speakers will be great, but I'd suggest liiking at the JBL Clip and the House of Marley No bounds
Ok man now I "feel" like I've got a certain sense of what you're after. I'm not sure it exists. but based on EDM, Pop, Rock really I think it's time to try the non-high end choice.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07P39MLKH?pf_rd_r=J379D10DE8EC5XBSSK15
Have you given it a try yet? You should. It really isn't high end per se, but does sound good. It can be custom eq-d reasonably flat, and has a natural airyness than the Marshall Stanmore II. It isn't omnidirectional, but because of the tweet facing, it isn't super directional either. I think the biggest flaw is ... it's a smaller speaker so it won't produce the lower bass tones as the marshall. but with EDM, Pop, and Rock that maybe ok. Amazon also has a very good return policy.
I mean what's the harm, you just have to test that return policy. And if you've already tried her... well we will keep looking.
For $50 they're probably better off getting a regular radio that supports bluetooth
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077ZG58RM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabt1_zMdXFbMKQJRMQ
If you want something a little more portable, it will be really hard to beat this at $55
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071JN4FW6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabt1_9JdXFb1KERPJK
Neither have google or Siri, but should be able to do it through the phone
Anker Soundcore motion+ for about 70 € ?
https://www.amazon.de/JBL-Xtreme-Musikbox-Blau-Wasserdichter/dp/B07CGB15VM/
pretty sure amazon germany ships to estonia. Not as good as USA pricing, but it is definitely a decent discount.
I thought you would shop at amzon spain? and then have them ship to portugal?
https://www.amazon.es/Soundcore-resoluci%C3%B3n-inal%C3%A1mbrico-reproducci%C3%B3n-Impermeable/dp/B07P39MLKH/ref=sr_1_1
In their shipping rates they even specifically mention portugal and the rates seem very reasonable.
Anker Soundcore Motion+ is the best choice. $85 on Amazon right now. Better than JBL and sony. This is the hottest speaker out now. All reviews are great and all comparisons to the JBL and Sony go heavily in the Motion+ favor.
For gaming you definitely want a speaker that supports both Bluetooth 5.0 and AptX, as otherwise there will be a noticeable audio lag between the game's sound and the screen output. This will definitely limit your options as popular models such as UE, Sony, and Tribit do not support AptX.
One of the few good options out there that supports AptX is the Anker Soundcore Motion+, which is $100. It's hard to find many speakers that support it, and the audio lag is quite annoying on a model that doesn't support it. I don't believe that the Sony XB22 supports AptX but the Anker Soundcore should, but I'd recommend spending the extra $50 to upgrade to the Motion+ as it's a significantly better speaker. Note that your bluetooth transmitter also needs to support 5.0 and AptX for it to work however.
Also, the Anker models have an app that lets you adjust the sound via an equalizer, so you can dial down the bass if needed. That said, I don't think any bluetooth speaker is going to get nearly close to loud enough to even begin thinking about hearing damage. You need dedicated floorstanding speakers with an amp to accomplish that.

Thanks for the idea. It actually did lead me to possibly thinking about guitar hanging stands which could possibly work. Would be nice to table mount them, but I will look into this a bit more.
I am surprised nobody make something for the popular JBL series.
https://www.amazon.com/Guitar-Hanger-Acoustic-Electric-Mandolin/dp/B087D2MQZL
Gotcha, you could try something like this and hang them on the loop?
You could get a cheap shower caddy and place the speaker in there
What about the Vifa Helsinki? I think it's one of Oluv's all time favorite speakers.
Gotcha.
Have your tried looking at a Silent Disco setup? Something like this might work for you.
Actually hold on, that may be the older version that cannot TWS, you'll want to see if you can find one that mentions TWS to make sure, like this in the US: https://www.amazon.com/Tribit-MaxSound-Bluetooth-Exceptional-Waterproof/dp/B07MQWG3PR
Tribit Stormbox Blast is the under $200 King around here lol
I deleted the app and went back to an older version and it seems like it works much better now.
Yes, you need a 3.5 stereo to dual mono cable, here's a 3ft one, there's probably longer around too https://www.amazon.com/CablesOnline-3-5mm-Stereo-Breakout-AM-603C/dp/B0759Z1QCP/ref=sr_1_25
Also put each Uboom L into video mode by pressing the bluetooth button twice and that should drop to ~66ms
In that case, I'd say what mrdoom suggested. The Soundcore Motion Plus
I have a pair of these, but in all honesty they don't sound great out of the box. You can get an ok sound of them using a third party equalizer. But personally I would not buy them again.
Also I paid $144 including tax for them.
This is awesome!
Did you try to run it with only a 60/65W charger?
Because when measured the Power draw of the original charger it never surpassed 60W.
I was thinking of permanently getting usb-c on my hyperboom, but I found this super small adapter:
https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0BD869X6S
I hope it does not burn down my house :D
Tronsmart Bang Mini is the speaker in the video
This might be an option as well. Great discount right now
You're better off getting the Motion Boom Plus for about the same price. The problem with the Sony's I can't find anything about then regarding the pairing. If you plan on putting them in different rooms you don't want them to be TWS ( True Wireless Stereo). You want your speakers to be in a sort of "Party mode" where each speaker plays exactly the same and not one being a left channel and the other the right channel. With the Soundcore you can actually do both. Either pair them as a stereo pair, or connect up to 100 speakers playing in sync.
Just my thoughts.
Oh in that case, get the Creative Pebble, they're usb powered and sound really good for the price. I use them in my bathroom connected to an Echo Flex.
You can get a Tribit Stormbox Blast for £160 right now. I know you said you don't need anything loud, but considering that you can get this at almost the same price as all the other ones, this is a steal for sure. Just lower the volume on the speaker lol
If you're planning to keep it in the office and don't need it to be portable, I'd look into the Echo Studio + Subwoofer
At this price point I'd say it's already your best option. You can always look into getting a renewed one on Amazon for $395 like this one
Soundcore Mini 3 you can link up to 100 of these together
I used these couple of yeas ago, was really happy with them Klipsch Pro Media
Uboom L with 20% clip on coupon. Total would be less than $70
Soundcore is heavier and gets a bit louder if that is important. If you get the soundcore motion + pick up a pimp Silicone case for it. https://www.amazon.com/Silicone-Compatible-Soundcore-Bluetooth-Waterproof/dp/B09NR7H4NH
Both are great speakers.
I have the T9 and it has no delay on the Bluetooth. I would recommend buying it right now on amazon if you haven't already, there is a 24% off I believe.
Tribit speakers are very good considering what you pay for them. I own 2 sets of earbuds, and two of the speakers. The Stormbox and Stormbox Pro are great options but the Pro is above the $100 mark. Check the Stormbox
This one might work for you
Tribit Stormbox Blast is on sale right now on Amazon
Check out the Soundcore Mini 3
How about this, with PartyCast you can connect up to 100 speakers together.
Edifier R1280DB they have cable input as well as Bluetooth
Tribit Stormbox Blast will probably be the speaker you'd get recommended on here the most, for that budget.
Uboom L 63.99/speaker
What do you guys think of this one? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07W3B1K55/ref=ewc_pr_img_1?smid=ACUT0NYQSHVGJ&th=1
I'd spend a little bit more and get something like this
https://www.amazon.com/Edifier-R1700BT-Bluetooth-Bookshelf-Speakers/dp/B016PATXSI
I've heard these and they sound great for the price. There are probably a lot of other good options, but I'd def recommend these over a battery speakers for apartment use only.
If you don't care about portability much, then the Partybox 710 would be a nice choice. However it needs to stay plugged in. If you want something smaller but with a battery, there's the Partybox 310
Maybe something like this
Gotcha. Well if you do like Sony speakers and don't mind renewed check this one out
If you keep them in the apartment, I'd look into "wifi" speakers, like the Google Nest or Amazon Echo's. You can easily group them together and have them playing at the same time. Bluetooth inside a apartment is very limit. The Motion Boom Plus uses Bluetooth 5.3 which is supposed to reach 30 feet max
Motion Boom Plus is on sale, and has AUX
Creative Pebble, they have USB-A and USB-C powered ones.
Something like this?
You can try the Anker PowerConf, it's literally made for phone calls lol
Motion Plus get this instead
W-King D10 is £106.24 on Amazon right now
W-King D10 is £106.24 on Amazon right now
>Soundcore Motion
Is this the soundcore motion you mean?
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Soundcore-Bluetooth-Extended-Customizable-Waterproof/dp/B07P39MLKH?th=1

Or do you mean the anker one?
I ordered this the other day and will be arriving today. I did a lot of research and comparisons. When I ordered it it also had an $80 coupon so I was able to get it after tax for about $196. I compared it to the Tribit Stormbox blast and the Anker Soundcore Motion Boom Plus. Do a little looking around and you might find w-king T-11 to be perfect. I will update with my impressions after finally getting to hear it in my face later today. Hope this helps. Look around you may find somewhere where th $80 coupon might still be available but even at this price I think pound for pound its the best deal but if you cannot find the coupon then the best deal under $200 would be the Tribit stormbox blast.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09ZQTX3WJ?psc=1&ref=ppx\_yo2ov\_dt\_b\_product\_details
I sold my jbl charge 4 for mifa wildbox and it is a good bluetooth speaker. You can find this on sale on Amazon for $80 - $100. It is on sale right now for $83.99
Soundcore Flare 2 can link up to 100 speakers at the same time
