You can't export the keys from the app itself. By default a new key is generated for each tx in the form of both change addresses as well new receiving addresses.
You can use this tool from coinomi to access any key you need. https://coinomi.com/recovery-phrase-tool.html
We accept BTC donations here: 1DJ1tiP14NpX1kCi6H69eNGY8m1XBWiiYB, thank you very much for the generosity!
5 star ratings on the app store and cryptocompare are also highly appreciated :)
If you'd like to help remove the application from the store go to the link below and report the application (if on computer) > https://support.google.com/googleplay/android-developer/contact/takedown
Use the link of the offending application (DO NOT INSTALL) > https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wBitcoinDiamond_6066666&hl=en
Hopefully this will help the application to get removed quickly, it has been up since 2nd December so far too long already.
Edit: You'll also need to reply to the email you're sent from Google explaining why you think the application should be removed..
Start a help ticket with Changelly. Include transaction ID and refund address. It may take awhile, but at least you're in the line. https://changelly.com scroll down, click support portal: https://changelly.freshdesk.com/support/login
Coinomi has had support for LCC since version 1.8.2, which you can get right now on Google Play.
However exchanging LCC for other coins will depend on our exchange partners (Shapeshift/Changelly) supporting it, as we don't do the exchanges ourselves. LCC is not yet supported by either of them.
The license was changed on Nov 2, 2016
Before changing to their own license agreement they were using a CC license .
What I thought to be the relevant part
>2. Permitted Use and Restrictions. Licensee agrees that it will use the Software, and any modifications, improvements, or derivatives to the Software that the Licensee may create (collectively, "Improvements") solely for personal, internal, non-commercial purposes and shall not distribute, sell or transfer the Software or Improvements to any person or third parties without prior written permission from the Licensor. The term "non-commercial," as used in this License, means which (a) is not undertaken for profit or generates profit, or (b) is not intended to produce works, services, or data for commercial use or otherwise be used for activities that generate profit, or (c) is neither conducted, nor funded, by a person or an entity engaged in the commercial use, application or exploitation of works similar to the Software. Licensee agrees not to add, remove, or modify any affiliate or referral keys or codes or any other service reference or configuration when using the Software. Licensee agrees not to access or use any resource used or referenced from within the Software from an application or resource other than the Software itself.
Compared to the old license the main change I noted was no longer being able to distribute a forked version without permission.
So, kinda?
Hi Kimland13, The trusted source for downloading Coinomi is Coinomi.com - I just checked and the HASH does match the file. Kindly check again. Please open a ticket at support.coinomi.com if the HASH continues not to match BEFORE you install anything. Thank you
You can update to version 1.9.3 from Google Play, or if it's not released there yet, from our website https://coinomi.com/downloads/ and install directly over your current version (without uninstalling)
Firefox + Ghostery extension have solved the issue.
coinomi.com uses some trackers: DoubleClick, Google Analytics etc
It seems the DoubleClick tracker was the root of the problem.
EDIT: it's not about trackers. See the starter post.
Thank you for the instructions. We already contacted Google more than a week ago, but every report counts!
That app has all the clear signs of a fake, as pointed by OP.
Also please be very careful for the websites you visit. The official Coinomi website is https://coinomi.com
We managed to take down a clone scam website mybtgwallet[dot]com, and reported coinomiwallet[dot]org, which is advertising a windows version of coinomi. DO NOT OPEN. Stay safe!
Your private keys are derived from your phrase. Only you have access to that phrase. Download the tool https://coinomi.com/recovery-phrase-tool.html (save as file) for offline use.
You will be able to derived the private keys of all your addresses using that tool offline and your phrase, even if coinomi shuts shop.
We don't plan to :)
https://coinomi.com/recovery-phrase-tool.html
This will give you all your private keys
Another good tool to have is the android version of Mycelium. Go to cold storage and choose master seed. In a panic you have an option to sweep all your alt coins into 1 bitcoin wallet.
Move bitcoin to electrum wallet and you should be safe from any type of political social economical melt down.
Cheapest would be to just back up your Coinomi seed. That's all you need to hodl! :) For extra security download our mnemonic tool as a file (https://coinomi.com/recovery-phrase-tool.html) and use offline even if Coinomi closes down!
wondering the same, I think thats why they give you the apk download? it's not connected to any server
edit:
https://coinomi.com/downloads/
https://coinomi.com/recovery-phrase-tool.html
never trust links from strangers btw
Take your seed to https://coinomi.com/recovery-phrase-tool.html grab the priv key for that address and import that key, your funds will be accessible. As for why it's acting up, no clue. Could be an issue with the electrum server that coinomi is using, no clue.
Thanks for your input! I have an 8 month password according to https://howsecureismypassword.net/ and my procedure would be to first restore the wallet then transfer the coins to a new wallet. I'm also switching back to an un-rooted phone. Security is why I chose coinomi, keep up the great work. Looking forward to XRP and XMR support!
BTW, do NOT use BTCCoin Wallet:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.btcgold.wallet&hl=en
it is not made by Coinomi, so there is a guaranty it is safe to use. I might be a scam wallet!
If you followed the instructions I first sent you, you would have split the BCH from the 2 other forks. The BCHA would still be "merged" with the BSV. You can check your BSV address on blockchair.com to see that the BCHA is still there. Then you'll be able to split it from the BSV from the BCHA by receiving BSV and sending it to your own address (like you did with BCH)
Hi there. Coinomi's technical team is always watching out for any upcoming technical upgrades to the infrastructure of the assets supported in the app, so that changes can be implemented in time to avoid disrupting the app's functionality.
If you encounter any issues with your Coinomi XMR wallet, please do not hesitate to reach out to Coinomi' s support team through Live-chat at coinomi.com, so you can be assisted.
Hi there. Have you tried resynchronizing your wallet first, before sending that transaction out. The resynchronize option simply clears the transactions from your device's memory and attempts to re-download them from the blockchain. If your device is having connection problems with the coin's network, it can prevent the download from completing, or transaction going out.
Please get in touch with Coinomi's support team through Live-chat at coinomi.com, and provide some more details about this issue, so they can guide you on the next steps.
Hi there. Exchanges can take upto 1hr to be processed after the transaction sending the payment to the exchange, is confirmed. Kindly reach out to Coinomi's support team, via Live-chat @ coinomi.com, and provide them more details about what happened, so they can look into this and assist you.
Hi there. Unauthorized transactions can only be made by either someone who has access to your seed phrase, or by someone with access to your device and knows your password. There is no other way.
If you do not see any outgoing transaction from your wallet but you have an incorrect wallet balance, then a simple refresh of your app, will force the wallet to synchronize with the network, so it can display your wallet balances correctly.
Please reach out to Coinomi's support team through Live-chat at coinomi.com, and provide more details, about this issue, so you can be guided on what to do.
Hi there. Coinomi is a Non-custodial wallet. Try to do a simple google search about the Custodial vs Non-custodial wallets, you will get an elaborate comparison about the two wallet types.
And if you have any further questions about the Coinomi App, the Live-chat support team at coinomi.com will be available to assist.
If you are having any problems with the Coinomi app, please explain them in detail, so we can help. Or reach out to our coinomi support team via Live-chat at coinomi.com, so you may be assisted.
Hi there, if you are seeing the coins via the dApp browser, then you may withdraw them after the staking period has ended. Please reach out to the Coinomi Livechat support at coinomi.com, if you need further clarification on this.
Thanks. I realize now why it didn’t work, and feel pretty stupid. I swiped the paper wallet with Eletron Cash, and transferred the coins to Coinomi. Here’s that transaction:
Hmm I tried but not working the address when I am using on the changelly.com website. I am choosing USDC first part and second part BUSD and copying the BUSD-BD1 address. I get "Invalid address".
I added BNB coin too to the wallet and I noticed BUSD-BD1 and BNB addresses are the same.
Hi there.
Have you tried resynchronizing your Coinomi wallet, first? The resynchronize option simply clears the transactions from your device's memory and attempts to re-download them from the blockchain for the wallet to show correct balance and transaction history.
If you do that and still do not see the incoming transaction, please get in touch with the Coinomi Live-chat support team (at coinomi.com) and provide them with the transaction ID for that transaction, so they may check and guide you on what to do.
That option in Coinomi must connect to an ElectrumX server. Also please note that self signed certificates currently aren't supported. You can get a free certificate from https://letsencrypt.org/ for example
DGB is offline currently by Shapeshift, possibly for maintenance.
Check this link: https://shapeshift.io/offlinecoins
It will automatically be available again for exchange in Coinomi once they bring it back online.
Hi there, the confirmation screen will show how many coins you are going to receive. You should have received the amount that was shown before you confirmed sending your coins out. You can also open the page https://changelly.com/transaction/xxxxxx (replace "xxxx" with the exchange ID you see in your exchange history in Coinomi) to see the rates and fees charged by Changelly.
Hello. We are sorry that you had a negative experience with our services, and there are indeed some things that need clarification. We understand the frustrations that the fees could cause to our customers. We would like to explain our system of fees a little bit. Your transaction was a fixed rate transaction, which is a type of transaction that protects the user's funds from the market fluctuations. As has been mentioned previously, the amount of crypto displayed at the beginning of the exchange will not be changed until the end of the transaction. That is why even though your calculations above were correct mathematically they have little connection to your situation. In your case the rate was fixed prior proceeding with the transaction. And the amount that you would receive was visible and transparent to you. Therefore Changelly and Coinomi both fulfilled its obligations in this case to the full extent. (Please also note that the fixed-rate feature is described in detail in our terms of use. Paragraph 2.7: https://changelly.com/terms-of-use)
And we would like to agree with honorable CEO of Coinomi who already answered you above. In USD equivalent this indeed looks like a significant fee, but doesn't mean that anybody took any advantage of you. This fee doesn't appear out of nowhere. The market has been extremely volatile these days, so the rate we provided was the only possible rate to fix. We highly recommend you to thoroughly check the rates and the currencies' USD values if needed before proceeding to payment.
Thank you, and once aging sorry that you were disappointed in our services.
Thanks for getting back to us! Please note that every time your transaction is being executed, the corresponding network fee is taken from initial and final amounts. You can learn more about network fees here. Also, we cannot initiate the exchange until your transaction isn't confirmed in a blockchain. Probably, the blockchain workload might cause this delay. However, to clarify the matter, we need more data concerning your transaction. Please DM us.
Here is Changelly's next response,
"Dear Stephen,
We have essential restrictions on our website for the minimal amounts. While transaction making you can see the red inscription with required minimal sum accepted, so 0.0023 BTC is too low to make a transaction (https://changelly.com/blog/network-fees-suggested-minimal-amounts).
We made it not in vain, but for your safety to avoid failed transactions.
If you make payments bypassing our recommendations, there is a high risk that your money will be lost."
Never has a transaction gone past first step when I've used Changelly through Coinomi. This excuse is bs. I didn't circumvent anything I used Coinomi and Changelly via Android. If a red inscription comes up it doesn't go any further in the transaction. I've made hundreds of transactions via Changelly and many via Coinomi/Changelly.
I will never support them here out and I highly discourage anyone from using Changelly especially via Coinomi. Use Shapeshift. If you cannot exchange coin you desire go to a browser and find an exchange in your region that will allow trade of coin you desire.
Avoid Changelly at all costs. I'm being blamed for a technical issue on their side and not being compensated for the issue generated by Changelly. What a great way to show a loyal customer appreciation than to snake $20-25 worth of BTC from said customer.
Hi there. If you are sending BTC, send it via the BTC network, and if sending ETH or a token, send it via the ERC20 network. Do no send your coins via the BSC/BEP20 network to Coinomi because currently Coinomi does not support the BSC/BEP20 network.
There is a message in your Coinomi ETH wallet warning you not to send via the BSC network. If you need further clarification about what network to use, before sending, reach out to the Coinomi's live-chat support team at coinomi.com .
Hi there. Our Exchange partners may temporarily pause exchanging some coins/pairs, if they experience some technical disruptions. But this is later fixed and exchanging resumes again. So, try again later.
If the problem persists, do not hesitate to reach the support team via Live-chat team at coinomi.com
If you still have access to your device configured with your Coinomi wallets and showing your funds, and you also have the wallet's password, you can access the correct Recovery phrase for your wallets.
Please do this:
Go to >> "Settings" >> "Manage wallets"
Select the wallet name from which you need your phrase (for example "Default Wallet" or Wallet #2 ,or Wallet #3)
Choose "Recovery Phrase".
Enter in your Password.
The Recovery phrase will be displayed for you to Copy. Please record it and keep it somewhere safe, preferably offline.
If you need clarification, please reach out to our live-chat support team at Coinomi.com, for assistance.
If accessing NFT platforms is what you want, you may use Coinomi too. Coinomi supports DApp browsing. If you are on the PC App, just click on DApp broswer to access and search for your NFT site. On the mobile App, Open your Ethereum wallet >> press the blue "+" button in the bottom right corner >> select "DApp browser" to open a web3 browser, and>>connect to the NFT site.
If you still need further assistance with this, feel free to visit our site coinomi.com and open a live-chat to speak directly to anyone on our support team.
Hi /u/Copperfield1, Coinomi has live chat function on coinomi.com and also from within the app. Please contact our team there so we can find out a little more about the exact issues you are having and help resolve them with you. Thank you
Hi Kraxen, to update the app on desktop simply download the updated installer files from https://coinomi.com/downloads and install over your current version. All wallet files and configurations will remain untouched.
We finalized implementing new connection methods for the BSV servers. Please update to the latest version available on coinomi.com/downloads where the new connection methods are used, then everything will work as normal again.
When clicking our banner telling you to update, you are taken to our downloads page coinomi.com/downloads. From there you can click the link to the method you used to install originally. We highly recommend you install the app from Google Play since you can set it to automatically update the apps for you. If you have no access to Google Play, download the APK file and execute it to update.
There is currently no update notification in the app because our main distribution methods are Google Play / iTunes that already notify and install update for users. In-app update notifications is a planned feature. For now you can go to the "about" page in the app to see your current version, and check our downloads page to see if there's a new version available.
Your friend must access the ETH address the coins have been sent to (which equals his ETC address) with the corresponding private key and can send those coins to his correct ETH address.
One way to do this AFAIK is to derive the private key, using the seed words (unless he already has the key) and Coinomi's recovery tool (https://coinomi.com/recovery-phrase-tool.html). There he types in the seed, selects the correct number of words (in Coinomi's case 18) and chooses Ethereum Classic as the coin.
Now there should be some derived addresses shown below, including the one the coins have been sent to. On the very right side in this line is the private key for that address. He can use this key for example in the Trust Wallet (Android), to access the same ETH address and transfer the funds to his correct ETH address. Notice that in Trust Wallet's case the leading "0x" of the private key needs to be left aside.
Please correct me anybody, should I be wrong about something. Good luck!!
You can check the full list of supported coins in our homepage https://coinomi.com
XTL is not supported. The best way to add support for a new coin is to ask the developers to open an official integration request via https://support.coinomi.com/
There is absolutely no need to do all these. Coinomi will support the forks, and wallets will be added in the app soon.
However if you need to export BTC Coinomi private keys, to claim forked coins elsewhere, all you need to do is use our tool with your phrase:
Have you already funded the non-bip39'd wallets? Or is it an empty installation still.
It's all easier in the tool: https://coinomi.com/recovery-phrase-tool.html (you can save as file and use offline if you dont trust)
:)
If your wallets are already funded, there is an extra step before restoring, which is to send to the first address that appears in the list of "derived addresses" of the tool, when using the 18-word phrase and extra words combo mentioned above. (Repeat that for each coin you might have already funded wallets for, by changing the coin from the relevant dropdown box in the tool page)
If the above text did not answer these questions, you can always google how BIP32 and BIP44 works. The private key does not need to be saved. The seed (phrase) will derive all keys, for all coins we support, including of course BTC and ETH. The tool is at https://coinomi.com/recovery-phrase-tool.html, and the page can be saved for offline use. With that tool, you will always be able to safely derive all the private keys you need.
Our vert servers appear to be working normally. However if you are thinking of cold storage, just delete the application and keep the phrase in a paper or anywhere else safe, away from the device - that is effectivelly a cold wallet. However it would be safer if you did that to a totally new phrase.
Back up that phrase, which has NEVER been online, and you have a cold vertcoin wallet. :) You can restore with it at any time in a new Coinomi wallet, if you so desire in the future.
You don't even need an offline phone, just keep the phrase (containing your keys for all your wallets, which are extractable via https://coinomi.com/recovery-phrase-tool.html even if Coinomi goes down) and you're safe and offline, for store-keeping.
No funds have been hacked out of Coinomi since 2014.
The seed is encrypted by your password and resides in the protected application space. Rooted devices are not safe.
Keyloggers and public wifis are not Coinomi specific threats and are not something we can control.
Hey u/insp9, I found a mobile app that might interest you.
The news app Nuzzel has been a useful aggregator of links from Facebook and Twitter since 2014, but those networks don’t always provide the most high-quality reads. That’s why Nuzzel added support for LinkedIn this year. The volume of content coming from LinkedIn tends to be lower, but the network’s professional vibe usually sets a higher bar for quality. Nuzzel added a dedicated section for videos to its apps this year as well.
