I feel your pain about not having a mobile wallet. I really do. Usability is important for Monero, since the more people who use Monero, the more secure and private the network becomes.
However, funding a private company to create a mobile wallet is not the way to go. Even putting the history aside (which is definitely rough; even if Anthony was always well-intended, his one update was in poor taste and unprofessional), it is not a good idea to provide proprietary code for free. The Monero developers are already busy with other projects.
There are many other approaches that make more sense. For instance, Coinomi is an open-source wallet that is asking for some help with the implementation. This is a much better initiative, since it would help the community by giving us a mobile wallet, help Coinomi by increasing their userbase, and help other companies and projects since they can review Coinomi's code. This is not a perfect solution; ideally, we should fund additional developers to work on the official Monero Core for android and iOS. However, I understand if this is the best solution for now and the official support can come later. Coinomi support should help speed up official development.
The fact that they were unable to pull it off speaks more of them than of "us".
>One way forward then might be for the Monero community to crowdfund the cost of the development and integration required to see the JAXX integration through.
We will crowd-fund stuff that will belong to all of us at the end (open-source with permissive license), and not one company. JAXX is not that. Would you want to pay Microsoft to develop a Monero wallet for Win10 store?
Just because one company generated all this hype and failed miserably doesn't mean we're unsupportive. It's sickening how they approached it all, and tried to play victim at the end.
Anyone gets helped around here, but that doesn't mean you can get someone to do your work for free.
There are others, who also approach the problem in a more professional way:
Look at Coinomi. It's open source, supports around 70 odd coins (inlc. Bitcoin Cash) and around 280 odd tokens on eth, integrated Shapeshift, custom fees per coin etc.. Nice clean interface and it just works.
Been using it now for over a year and never had issues with it, as said, it just works.
Would like to see some of the more popular coins on it but this will come with time. Monero integration is in the works as well.
Who said it was slow? Compared to 6 months ago we've come a looong way.
There are at least 2 mobile apps being worked on:
Also, another nice Desktop wallet: https://www.reddit.com/r/Monero/comments/5rjll8/looks_like_monero_wont_be_in_jaxx_for_a_while/dd8nqf1/
I'm looking at those right now... Coinomi seems popular, but I haven't tried it so I couldn't say... trying it this week.
My big suggestions are the standard ones:
When my kids were young, I never had cash around... so I would pay their allowance in bitcoin (literally $1, $2 at the time). I was their bank... and if they wanted cash, they could send $2 in coin to me, and I'd give them $2 in cash. Since I had done all 5 of the above I had the backup (3 phones ago) and looked at it recently... OMG! So if you give your granddaughter $100 in crypto now, and find out when she's married that it is worth $100,000 you'll want to make sure you can help her retrieve it.
I do recommend a password manager... that will help you keep most of this stuff locked up tight

You can't export the keys from the app itself. By default a new key is generated for each tx in the form of both change addresses as well new receiving addresses.
You can use this tool from coinomi to access any key you need. https://coinomi.com/recovery-phrase-tool.html
yes. it's a standard. BIP44,BIP39
any wallet that supports it. or just save this webpage for later use. https://coinomi.com/recovery-phrase-tool.html
file, save as generator.html or whatever.
done.
Yes, Coinomi is perfectly safe as long-term storage. It's as safe as your security practices. As long as you keep your recovery phrase properly backed up and don't share it with anyone, you are the only one with access to your funds. Read more about backups here.
With our recovery tool, you can even create a new phrase and addresses on an offline computer running a Linux LiveCD. Then deposit the coins into those addresses, with full confidence that your phrase and keys were never even close to the internet, so literally impossible to be hacked. Finally, when it's time to spend the coins, simply recover the phrase into Coinomi. (test everything first so you are comfortable with the recovery process and can see that it works)
I've tested and confirm that the wallet works great. If you'd like to store your coins on the Coinomi wallet but also want access on your Electrum or full-node wallet, you will have to send your coins to your Coinomi wallet address but you can generate the private key(s) using this tool: https://coinomi.com/recovery-phrase-tool.html and import that private key into your Electrum or full-node wallet.
First thing is the Nano S does support many currencies, but not all. From what I've seen this wallet supports the most currencies, behind MyEtherWallet which supports all ERC20 tokens built on ETH.
Just fiddling around with Ledger Nano S and restoring different BIP39 wallets from one seed. When trying to restore a seed these two sites are giving me different root keys and therefore addresses for Ethereum but the same for say Bitcoin or Dogecoin. The first site seems to be correct as the first ETH address matches my Nano address but the second site doesn't. Any ideas?
https://coinomi.com/recovery-phrase-tool.html https://iancoleman.io/bip39/
They use the Bip39 spec so you can recover your wallet on any wallet following the same spec or you can just use the recovery tool they provide here https://coinomi.com/recovery-phrase-tool.html
Coinomi is the oldest and biggest multicoin wallet where you have full control over your private keys, supporting 61 blockchains and 4 tokens, with 7 more blockchains coming in the next few days. Get your free copy today at: https://coinomi.com/
Does your repo do this?
"Transaction Java class(s), loosely compatible with Bitcoinj that can serialize, deserialize and sign provided a list of outputs/mixin-pubkeys. An extensive unit test suite is required."
If so, you should definitely reach out to them at
(here's where I pulled that data: https://coinomi.com/monero/)
Even if they don't need it, I'm sure this will prove super useful to others :)
Yes, full nodes wallets or HW wallets are more secure but there are some solutions out there that make it easy on the user and are trying to strike a balance. Another wallet to check out is https://coinomi.com/
Also worth checking out is the Coinomi wallet which has Shapeshift built into it, so you can store and exchange altcoins within the wallet, very cool for those who hold multiple coins.
You can get an Android device that was never online and install the APK directly (https://coinomi.com/downloads), so that it remains offline and never for a moment touches the internet. All the process of generating your seed and its addresses is performed locally on the device.
Then you can keep the device offline forever (until you decide to spend the coins). Or just copy some deposit addresses for future use, uninstall the app and put it back online.
Don't forget to keep a proper backup of your phrase: https://coinomi.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/29000019254-how-can-i-back-up-restore-my-wallet-what-happens-if-i-lose-my-phone-
Before sending any funds you can play around restoring with your phrase, getting familiar with the process, seeing that your addresses always remain the same no matter how many times you restore.
Hi Kimland13, The trusted source for downloading Coinomi is Coinomi.com - I just checked and the HASH does match the file. Kindly check again. Please open a ticket at support.coinomi.com if the HASH continues not to match BEFORE you install anything. Thank you
Hi, You can see a full list of assets at coinomi.com/assets - ALL Ethereum tokens can be added manually following this guide https://coinomi.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/29000009779-how-to-manually-add-an-erc20-token-
UPDATE
I exported my ZEC private key from my Ledger using this site with my Ledger 24 word recovery phrase:
https://coinomi.com/recovery-phrase-tool.html
From there I took my ZEC private key, and downloaded Exodus wallet. I opened Exodus wallet in "Developer Mode", and then imported my ZEC private key. It worked without any issues for me, and now I've got my funds to pay my electric bill this month. :)
Just to be safe, now that I imported my private keys into an online website, I am going to reset my Ledger back to factory defaults and create new private keys.
Hopefully other folks stuck with Ledger's have the same success that I did.
You can update to version 1.9.3 from Google Play, or if it's not released there yet, from our website https://coinomi.com/downloads/ and install directly over your current version (without uninstalling)
The reason for sweeping is that you cannot peg a key to a seed. It has to be derived by that seed. Imported keys would be lost if one restores with his seed. Sweep creates a new address from the existing seed, and transfers the coins there, so its restorable at once with current seed.
That said, however: You can already do what you suggest right now using
https://github.com/satoshilabs/slips/blob/master/slip-0044.md
to find the coin number of the coin we do not support, and manually constructing the path in the tool (https://coinomi.com/recovery-phrase-tool.html or https://iancoleman.io/bip39/) after entering your coinomi seed in the first box. The tools are downloadable for offline use.
The addresses that will be derived for this non-supported coin can accept funds (normal send transactions from a supporting wallet/exchange of that coin) and will be watchable in that coin's explorers. They will always be derived from your seed, and like you said might be actually usable in app if Coinomi supports that coin in the future.
Firefox + Ghostery extension have solved the issue.
coinomi.com uses some trackers: DoubleClick, Google Analytics etc
It seems the DoubleClick tracker was the root of the problem.
EDIT: it's not about trackers. See the starter post.
Coinomi is a security-first, SegWit-enabled, multi-asset wallet that provides native support and true ownership for 119 blockchains and 382 tokens for a total of 501 assets, available in 168 fiat currency representations and 25 languages. Coinomi is available for Android and iOS platforms, with desktop versions for Windows, Mac and Linux coming soon. Users can exchange all supported assets instantly from within the app via the built-in instant exchanges ShapeShift and Changelly. Founded in 2014 Coinomi is the oldest multi-asset wallet with millions of active users while at the same time no Coinomi wallet has ever been hacked or otherwise compromised. See more at: https://coinomi.com
Well, that's possible but you need to expose your private keys
Step by step: -move your bitcoins to another wallet. (Most important) -insert your seed phrase here https://coinomi.com/recovery-phrase-tool.html -use the correct derivation path for segwit: m/49/0/0 Look for the privatekeys for your addresses which hodl the bitcore and scan them with your coinomi wallet or an y other bitcore wallet .
What are you using to generate the paper wallet? (https://zenpaperwallet.com, https://coinomi.com/recovery-phrase-tool.html?)
You should basically get two keys. The public ine that you mine to, send to others, etc, and private that you can print/transcribe/etc, and only use when you want to redeem the coins.
I haven't checked whether zenpaperwallet.com is legit, but for any paper wallet generator you can often download and run the generator on an offline PC. (Like the coinomi one)
Thank you for the instructions. We already contacted Google more than a week ago, but every report counts!
That app has all the clear signs of a fake, as pointed by OP.
Also please be very careful for the websites you visit. The official Coinomi website is https://coinomi.com
We managed to take down a clone scam website mybtgwallet[dot]com, and reported coinomiwallet[dot]org, which is advertising a windows version of coinomi. DO NOT OPEN. Stay safe!
Your private keys are derived from your phrase. Only you have access to that phrase. Download the tool https://coinomi.com/recovery-phrase-tool.html (save as file) for offline use.
You will be able to derived the private keys of all your addresses using that tool offline and your phrase, even if coinomi shuts shop.
We don't plan to :)
https://coinomi.com/recovery-phrase-tool.html
This will give you all your private keys
Another good tool to have is the android version of Mycelium. Go to cold storage and choose master seed. In a panic you have an option to sweep all your alt coins into 1 bitcoin wallet.
Move bitcoin to electrum wallet and you should be safe from any type of political social economical melt down.
no. they use a standard. (couple actually) BIP39, BIP44 etc. pretty much any device/wallet that supports those, you can import your 12/24 word seed into. so, if they go out of biz, or chrome pulls app? oh well.
play around here to learn about these standards. https://coinomi.com/recovery-phrase-tool.html
BIPS39 derivations are probably not a noob question.
I'd ask the two wallet authors how they BIPS39 and figure out which is different. You could run some tests here, and see if anything shows up... but best to download the JS on an air-gapped computer.
You can run Coinomi without an Android device. Install the ARC Welder extension on a Chrome Browser, and download the wallet app, coinomi-1.7.10.apk, from https://coinomi.com/downloads
There are some quirks in Coinomi-on-Chrome. One is that (on a Mac) the shortcut key for Paste (Cmd-V) doesn't work for pasting in a private key. Workaround: type any character or two, select what you've typed, and a "Paste" button pops up. Also, it might not be obvious that to input a private key you want the "Sweep wallet" command from the three-dots menu at the upper right. And, AFAIK you can input only one key at a time, not a list.
Cheapest would be to just back up your Coinomi seed. That's all you need to hodl! :) For extra security download our mnemonic tool as a file (https://coinomi.com/recovery-phrase-tool.html) and use offline even if Coinomi closes down!
Seems to work as an empty wallet -- I'm not quite ready to import private keys into it. I'm using Chrome on a Mac. I installed ARC Welder from
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/arc-welder/emfinbmielocnlhgmfkkmkngdoccbadn/related
and the Coinomi APK at
Top two hits on Google:
>We will not make any public announcements until it is ready. https://medium.com/@coinomi/monero-and-the-art-of-stfu-7f802947411e
>We are looking for developers https://coinomi.com/monero/
I think you can draw a conclusion from this. The best place to ask would of course be at Coinomi, not here.
Okay looks like coinomi servers are struggling.
You can wait for it to appear or they come out wiht a fix or you can import it into electrum. If you want to import it into electrum, follow these steps:
> Thanks that's helpful. So I assume there is probably some client site js to convert bip39 words to an actual key. Is there a better way
Yes but i don't know if it is secure you can always use it offline.
https://coinomi.com/recovery-phrase-tool.html
>Do you think they're stubborn,
yes I think they are hypnotized by BS/Core, my favorite wallet too. but its being abandoned because it does not support BCH.
>Electron is not bip39 though (because Electrum isn't) so importing or sweeping Bitcoin.Com keys into electron is not straightforward. Is that right?
I have done it, it was not as simple as I thought it would be I now have an electrum/electron backup in cold storage (same wallet file)
Trezor uses standardized seed format called BIP39. That means any wallet software or hardware wallet that uses it can recreate your address and key pairs.
https://coinomi.com/recovery-phrase-tool.html
DO NOT ENTER YOUR SEED THERE OR ON ANY COMPUTER EVER It's just to illustrate my point. You could test it with a dummy seed.
https://github.com/poolgold/ClaymoreBTGMiner/releases/download/v12.6-BTG/Claymore.s.BTG.AMD.GPU.Miner.v12.6.zip thats claymore bitcoin gold miner

The two biggest exchanges for Vertcoin are Bittrex and Poloniex (where you have to use Bitcoin to buy and sell).
Shapeshift isn't an exactly exchange, but just more of a coin converter, it doesn't really have any fees associated with it (so the total fees depend on blockchain transaction fees and the fees for the Bitcoin/Litecoin you bought).
Mobile wallet for Bitcoin and Vertcoin I can recommend: Coinomi
Desktop wallet for Bitcoin: Electrum
Desktop wallet for Vertcoin: Electrum-VTC
I have a way to do it but it is a slightly long process but you can try it if you don't mind the long process..The way I did it was by using Coinomi's Mnemonic Code Converter.
1) Go to https://coinomi.com/recovery-phrase-tool.html. You can save the Html on your desktop and use it offline (recommended)
2) Click the Generate Random Mnemonic button
3) Choose Zcoin from the Coin dropdown list
4) Scroll down and you can find a list of Derived Addresses you can choose from
5) Send your Zcoins to any of the Addresses and remember to write down either the Mnemonic Code generated and/or the Private Key to your address
And of course you can do this cold storage method for any of the coins available in the list.
Using online wallet is basically giving some guy your money to take care of!!
Delete your coinpot wallet and download your own wallet on your own system that YOU control.

wondering the same, I think thats why they give you the apk download? it's not connected to any server

never trust links from strangers btw
If you can't extract your private keys, since your wallet seeds are compatible with other wallets, you can try to use some of their tools.
Save page. Transfer to another computer with no internet, or, at the very least disable internet and go into incognito mode. Use the script. Later, when we get this solved, you'll want to use a different seed.
https://coinomi.com/recovery-phrase-tool.html
Coinomi added support for Bitcoincash long before the fork, yet it was removed from bitcoincash.org
https://medium.com/@coinomi/collecting-your-free-bitcoin-cash-coins-44fcc6008bb6
This is what they told me to do:
Go to our recovery tool, at this link https://coinomi.com/recovery-phrase-tool.html
Enter your phrase in the first box and select Bitcoin from the coinlist
Change the "Coin" box below from 0 to 145. Touch nothing else.
Find your BCH address in the list of Derived Addresses that appears in the bottom of the page.
Copy the private key (third column) that corresponds to this address.
Go to your Coinomi BTC wallet and click .../Sweep wallet. Enter this private key.
Use the sweep function of the Android wallet https://coinomi.com/ (which supports BCH)
You can display the private key of your paper wallet using https://www.bitaddress.org/ (wallet details tab) and camera icon of coinomi sweep to shift your BCH into coinomi and (later) send them somewhere else - like an exchange or a different paper wallet.
As for keeping them safe. They are already on a paper wallet - and share that wallet with the BTC stored on it, so there is no real need to move them.
Here is my recomendation. Not sure how tech savvy you are, so hope this helps.
go to https://coinomi.com/recovery-phrase-tool.html
it's an opensource bip39 generator.
file> save page as:> save HTML to a USB disk.
use a live Linux CD (google how to use live linux cd) and when you get to the desktop, plug your usb in
Do not connect to Wifi! Do not plug cable in.
Open the file you saved on your USB dirve and it should launch a browser and you'll see the webpage.
Now, on that webpage:
Number of words: pick 12. or larger if it makes you feel safer, but 12 is as safe as it really gets.
BIP39 Passphrase (optional): leave it blank, or put a password THAT YOU KNOW YOU WILL NEVER EVER FORGET!
coin pick bitcoin
Hit generate random.
WRITE DOWN THE 12 WORDS AND REMEMBER THE PASSWORD IF YOU PICKED ON
with this info, you can generate unlimited number of addresses for not just bitcoin, but shit ton of other coins. scroll down you'll see the first 20 or so addresses it generated. Pick the first one! there is your public address, public key, and private key. I hope you know what those things are.
cheers.
Take your seed to https://coinomi.com/recovery-phrase-tool.html grab the priv key for that address and import that key, your funds will be accessible. As for why it's acting up, no clue. Could be an issue with the electrum server that coinomi is using, no clue.
Check that you have a reliable connection with the Electrum servers and that the height you see in the wallet is the same as you see on a public block explorer. In any case, you can extract your private keys as the wallet is using BIP32/39/44 standards.
For Coinomi, use the following web address. You enter your recovery phrase, and it gives you your private key...
https://coinomi.com/recovery-phrase-tool.html
TBH, I wouldn't click on my link though. Go to Coinomi's website and search for the answer yourself. That way you don't give your recovery phrase to some unexpected hacker.
Better yet, follow the "use offline" instructions.
exchange is nice because if you hold a lot of coins they handle all the updates and account security. Poloniex took care of the ETC thing with the replay bugs so holders didn't get scammed out of stuff. I got maybe 20+ altcoins I hold on there... the only issue is if they de-list a coin, then it's an issue. But they warn in advance of doing that.
This looks like something you are more inclined to like, but the number of coins is limited: https://coinomi.com/
I think a lot of this fear of exchanges is perhaps over-exaggerated. Think of it this way, if you get hit with a bug affecting that coin and lose your stuff because you had it in cold-storage and no one to micro-monitor your altcoins for you, you lose the coins. Where as an exchange handles the technical stuff on the back-end so you don't have to worry about it for many coins. Only issue I suppose is if the exchange is compromised... could happen but not sure it's a huge fear for me since the US government is breathing down their neck with regulations.
Trezor uses the BIP39 and BIP44 standards to create a random phrase that produces all your private keys, so if you lose your device but have written your phrase or remember it you can recover all your funds. There are also other wallets compatible with it. You can see for yourself by using this tool https://coinomi.com/recovery-phrase-tool.html
You can see at the top of their website they have a "coming soon" sticker for the iOS version. This is not the official NuBits wallet, but the developer of this wallet is also on the development team for NuBits. It also has NuShares support, and shapeshift.io support. So sadly the answer is no (for now).
Hi there, you will need to tap on the process transactions button in the app, first, for incoming transactions to be updated in the wallet. In your coinomi XMR wallet, press the blue "+" button (at the bottom right corner), and then click "process transactions".
If this does not help, please reach out to the Coinomi support team through Live-chat at coinomi.com so you can be assisted.
Your transaction may fail to go through if your coinomi app is not properly syncing /connecting to the blockchain. There are several reasons that can cause this, forexample, you have not updated to the most current coinomi version.
Please try all of these suggestions here for help restoring network connection to your wallet. Then send your transaction again.
For more clarification on this, please reach out to Coinomi's support team via Live-chat at coinomi.com, and you will be assited.

If you encounter any issues with your Coinomi XMR wallet, please do not hesitate to reach out to Coinomi' s support team through Live-chat at coinomi.com, so you can be assisted.
Hi there. Have you tried resynchronizing your wallet first, before sending that transaction out. The resynchronize option simply clears the transactions from your device's memory and attempts to re-download them from the blockchain. If your device is having connection problems with the coin's network, it can prevent the download from completing, or transaction going out.
Please get in touch with Coinomi's support team through Live-chat at coinomi.com, and provide some more details about this issue, so they can guide you on the next steps.
Hi there. Exchanges can take upto 1hr to be processed after the transaction sending the payment to the exchange, is confirmed. Kindly reach out to Coinomi's support team, via Live-chat @ coinomi.com, and provide them more details about what happened, so they can look into this and assist you.
Hi there. Unauthorized transactions can only be made by either someone who has access to your seed phrase, or by someone with access to your device and knows your password. There is no other way.
If you do not see any outgoing transaction from your wallet but you have an incorrect wallet balance, then a simple refresh of your app, will force the wallet to synchronize with the network, so it can display your wallet balances correctly.
Please reach out to Coinomi's support team through Live-chat at coinomi.com, and provide more details, about this issue, so you can be guided on what to do.
Hi there. Coinomi is a Non-custodial wallet. Try to do a simple google search about the Custodial vs Non-custodial wallets, you will get an elaborate comparison about the two wallet types.
And if you have any further questions about the Coinomi App, the Live-chat support team at coinomi.com will be available to assist.
If you are having any problems with the Coinomi app, please explain them in detail, so we can help. Or reach out to our coinomi support team via Live-chat at coinomi.com, so you may be assisted.
Hi there, if you are seeing the coins via the dApp browser, then you may withdraw them after the staking period has ended. Please reach out to the Coinomi Livechat support at coinomi.com, if you need further clarification on this.
Hi there.
Have you tried resynchronizing your Coinomi wallet, first? The resynchronize option simply clears the transactions from your device's memory and attempts to re-download them from the blockchain for the wallet to show correct balance and transaction history.
If you do that and still do not see the incoming transaction, please get in touch with the Coinomi Live-chat support team (at coinomi.com) and provide them with the transaction ID for that transaction, so they may check and guide you on what to do.
Hi there. Your XMR might have already arrived from the exchange, but it seems like your wallet does not connect properly to the blockchain where your funds are. Please try all of the suggestions here, for help restoring the connection to your wallet. Once you have restored connection, your balance/transactions will display correctly: https://coinomi.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/29000021880-what-does-no-connection-mean-
You may reach out to to Coinomi's Live-chat support team at coinomi.com, if you need further guidance on this.
Hi there. If you are sending BTC, send it via the BTC network, and if sending ETH or a token, send it via the ERC20 network. Do no send your coins via the BSC/BEP20 network to Coinomi because currently Coinomi does not support the BSC/BEP20 network.
There is a message in your Coinomi ETH wallet warning you not to send via the BSC network. If you need further clarification about what network to use, before sending, reach out to the Coinomi's live-chat support team at coinomi.com .
Hi there. Our Exchange partners may temporarily pause exchanging some coins/pairs, if they experience some technical disruptions. But this is later fixed and exchanging resumes again. So, try again later.
If the problem persists, do not hesitate to reach the support team via Live-chat team at coinomi.com
If you still have access to your device configured with your Coinomi wallets and showing your funds, and you also have the wallet's password, you can access the correct Recovery phrase for your wallets.
Please do this:
Go to >> "Settings" >> "Manage wallets"
Select the wallet name from which you need your phrase (for example "Default Wallet" or Wallet #2 ,or Wallet #3)
Choose "Recovery Phrase".
Enter in your Password.

You mean internet service providers from New York State are blocking IP addresses from Coinomi services? Again, you seem to be mistaken, Coinomi is not an exchange, it's a non custodial wallet. You can download it from coinomi.com and use it from anywhere.
Hi /u/Copperfield1, Coinomi has live chat function on coinomi.com and also from within the app. Please contact our team there so we can find out a little more about the exact issues you are having and help resolve them with you. Thank you
Hi Kraxen, to update the app on desktop simply download the updated installer files from https://coinomi.com/downloads and install over your current version. All wallet files and configurations will remain untouched.
We finalized implementing new connection methods for the BSV servers. Please update to the latest version available on coinomi.com/downloads where the new connection methods are used, then everything will work as normal again.
When clicking our banner telling you to update, you are taken to our downloads page coinomi.com/downloads. From there you can click the link to the method you used to install originally. We highly recommend you install the app from Google Play since you can set it to automatically update the apps for you. If you have no access to Google Play, download the APK file and execute it to update.
There is currently no update notification in the app because our main distribution methods are Google Play / iTunes that already notify and install update for users. In-app update notifications is a planned feature. For now you can go to the "about" page in the app to see your current version, and check our downloads page to see if there's a new version available.
Mycelium is a really bad wallet... also if the fee is 1.75USD then it's unnecessarily high. You can do 10sat/byte (~15 cents for normal tx) and that'll be more than enough.
If stuff is crashing, I'd recommend sweeping your key into something like https://coinomi.com or https://samouraiwallet.com

Hi this is Angelos from Coinomi Wallet.
We have evolved multifold since this excellent list was posted, and we'd appreciate inclusion and update.

Do not hesitate to email for verification purposes or any other question or request.
sign up at a exchange, you can choose one here https://bitcoingold.org/#home
or...
buy some bitcoin at a btm https://coinatmradar.com/ and store it on https://coinomi.com/ that will be your 'hot' wallet and from there is a inbuilt feature where you can shapeshift bitcoin to bitcoin gold
1) Get your mnemonic from your Android wallet from Settings > Backup Wallet > menu > Mnemonic Code.
2) Get your Android wallet address from My Wallet, QR code icon in the upper right.
3) Go here: https://coinomi.com/recovery-phrase-tool.html
4) Select 24 words and PIVX (COLX is a fork of the PIVX codebase) from the options, then enter your 24-word mnemonic.
5) Under "derived addresses", find your mobile address from step 2. It's probably the first one or one of the first. Copy down the private key PRIVKEY.
6) On your PC wallet, verify that your wallet is fully synchronized to the current block. You should see the blue check mark in the lower right corner.
7) Open the PC wallet debug console and type importprivkey PRIVKEY "mobileimport" true
8) PC wallet will rescan and add your mobile balance.
CAUTION: This address is now on both your PC wallet, and your Mobile wallet! This is not a recommended configuration. Once you have confirmed your balance on your PC wallet, it is best to uninstall and reinstall the Mobile wallet, to generate a new unique mnemonic and address.
...and these coins if you have enough, they can be cashed out into real money at an exchange and with a few steps even through a bitcoin atm https://coinatmradar.com/
and here is a wallet where you can store your coins on your phone https://coinomi.com/
Hallo Siggi,
Your friend must access the ETH address the coins have been sent to (which equals his ETC address) with the corresponding private key and can send those coins to his correct ETH address.
One way to do this AFAIK is to derive the private key, using the seed words (unless he already has the key) and Coinomi's recovery tool (https://coinomi.com/recovery-phrase-tool.html). There he types in the seed, selects the correct number of words (in Coinomi's case 18) and chooses Ethereum Classic as the coin.
Now there should be some derived addresses shown below, including the one the coins have been sent to. On the very right side in this line is the private key for that address. He can use this key for example in the Trust Wallet (Android), to access the same ETH address and transfer the funds to his correct ETH address. Notice that in Trust Wallet's case the leading "0x" of the private key needs to be left aside.
Please correct me anybody, should I be wrong about something. Good luck!!
you could try https://coinatmradar.com/ to get some bitcoin, then either send them to your https://coinomi.com/ wallet and then use the inbuilt shapeshift to switch them to reddcoins ...or just use the https://shapeshift.io/#/coins website if you already have some other bitcoin wallet
You can check the full list of supported coins in our homepage https://coinomi.com
XTL is not supported. The best way to add support for a new coin is to ask the developers to open an official integration request via https://support.coinomi.com/
We follow the BIPs and SLIPs with coin numbers so the app is compatible with as many services as possible. Ledger is a wallet that I tested with a few coins and worked immediately.
Even with no wallets, you can still get the private keys for all coins and addresses using the recovery tool here (read more here)
It is possible, but it doesn't seem to be in spec.
We define the following 5 levels in BIP32 path:
> m / purpose' / coin_type' / account' / change / address_index Apostrophe in the path indicates that BIP32 hardened derivation is used. from: https://github.com/bitcoin/bips/blob/master/bip-0044.mediawiki
Nothing in the spec describes this H notation. Now the wallet might just display that, but I wouldn't risk my coins on a maybe. The best thing to do is try in a tool, like Coinomi's own: https://coinomi.com/recovery-phrase-tool.html
And make sure the same set of addresses are created with that deviation path.
