Hi u/cointasticariba -
Your XMR landed in your Exodus wallet about 13 hours ago. Please update your wallet to the latest version (20.4.23):
https://www.exodus.io/download/
Once you're using the latest version, your XMR should appear.
It's possible your app hadn't refreshed the blockchain before you updated, and so it was showing a past amount.
Try entering your public address on a bitcoin explorer, like https://blockchair.com/bitcoin
It should show you all history of transactions. You can see when you last took money out.
Aside from the good advice to "weather the storm", here's some info on BCC for those interested:
Exodus will not support Bitcoin Cash (BCC). But users of Exodus will still be able to claim their BCC by importing their private keys into the official BCC client after Aug 1st. The BCC website https://www.bitcoincash.org/ is listing wallets and exchanges that will support BCC.
Here's how to export your private keys: http://support.exodus.io/knowledge_base/topics/how-can-i-view-my-private-keys-1
Lol I can't tell if this is a troll or not...
So let me get this straight? You are upset that the WALLET you downloaded, doesn't currently allow you to EXCHANGE a certain coin? Hold on Karen, we are getting the manager right away for you!
So, how do you think they are scamming you out of your money by not letting you exchange a coin? Please explain to me how you came to the conclusion that this is a scam.
You can't call out their level of incompetence when you couldn't even do the basic research about the wallet before downloading it. You say the greatest minds behind exodus couldn't figure how to show which exchanges were unavailable yet they do, very clear as day on their website. You just never bothered to look before actually downloading. https://www.exodus.io/status/
Stop yelling at other people and look in the mirror a little bit.
1757335 dates back to January 2019. There is a Monero Block Explorer here. You can plug in some numbers higher than 1757335 and see their dates.
Doing some testing myself, 2010000 dates to January 2020, and 2265000 dates to January 2021.
While Exodus cannot connect with the usual defi apps, it works fine with changelly.com. There you manually enter the receive address of the crypto you are receiving in the exchange. Then you are promoted to send the crypto you are exchanging to a send address., which is easily done in Exodus. The nice things is, these exchanges do not need to be on the same blockchain. I've used Changelly.com quite a bit this year, and they always seem to reliable and timely. Though... The exchange rate is always on the high side. Note: you'll get the best rate when the crypto you're buying into is going down.
>1) would CoinBase Pro not be a viable option in terms of exchanging coins, or are the fees there also expensive?
Sorry, I can't speak to them at all - I've never used them. (honestly I've been hearing they've been down a lot today, so... not too encouraging.)
2 - Changelly is definitely still significantly cheaper even after doing that. https://changelly.com/processing - you can compare the rates in real time between the two.
Hi u/venge_one -
Apologies for the poor experience here. Our exchange partners are experiencing a large backlog of orders and downtime, so in the meantime, pair availability is reduced for many assets sadly. Please keep an eye on our Status Page for updates:
https://www.exodus.io/status/
Hi u/speedfire21 -
If your friend already sent a report to the support team, then someone will be getting back to him soon. I'm not sure which error they may be seeing and there are several possible reasons for sending errors. I wouldn't be able to dig into this as deeply as the support team will be able to with the safe report.
One of the most common errors I see for wallets that aren't functioning properly though is that people aren't running the latest and greatest version of Exodus. Please make sure your friend has Version 20.8.19 downloaded. If not, the newest versions can always be found here:
https://www.exodus.io/download/
Sorry - but other than that, they'll have to wait for a response once the team gets their report.
https://www.exodus.io/monero-wallet
https://support.exodus.io/article/1049-why-cant-i-send-or-exchange-monero-xmr
Exodus is great, especially for Monero. Nodes can be unstable at times but check back again later and it might be working. I’m not sure your particular issue but what I am sure of is your attitude posting here and how you’re approaching it is all wrong.
Maybe you didn’t do enough research beforehand or maybe you encountered a regional problem (exodus isn’t available in some states) but you should take a more calm approach about it.
Support in this sub is pretty good and you’ll probably get a response soon from a moderator. Try emailing support too, though I wouldn’t advise taking the same aggressive approach if you hope to get good service in return.
Give respect to get respect. Treat people how you would like to be treated.
Thanks for bringing this to everyone's attention u/sabadaba.
We battle the scammers as best we can but there's always a new one to deal with.
** ALWAYS MAKE SURE YOU'RE DOWNLOADING THE WALLET FROM THE OFFICIAL WEBSITE AT www.exodus.io
It works pretty well, but as you've noticed there are some caveats.
The good news is that the user configuration stuff is stored in ~/.config/Exodus
or ~/.config/Exodus Eden
so you can destroy the application directory and install a new version without worrying about loss of your wallet.
I make a folder in my user directory called Apps
and unzip the current version in there. I also have a symlink to ~/Apps/ExodusEden-linux-x64/ExodusEden
placed as ~/Apps/ExodusEden
. Then I made a Gnome menu entry pointing to the symlink
They really should be installing in standard linux directories and have an apt repo to enable automatic updates. They don't even have an update notification within the application. I manually check for updates every week and it's getting a bit tiresome.
They should have enough income now to afford hiring someone who knows how to package an application properly. Those file names you asked about are the result of the fact that Exodus Eden is an Electron based application. It's an application framework that basically lets someone build a locally-run webapp with a chrome-based rendering engine. It's pretty popular. Slack uses it for their Mac/Linux/PC clients too. It lets you build the app once and compile for all those platforms without any real changes. You can read more at electronjs.org
Done... but folks... do try to practice a bit of safe computing here. Never use a external search for an Exodus product. Always start from the Exodus website. And realize that the certificate would not be signed by exodus Move knc
.

The exchange on NiceHash was decent $100 BTC -> $98 ETH with no other fees from what I can remember, the sting comes from trying to get it off NiceHash to your own wallet for safe keeping.
In regards to mining they take around 2% every 4 hours.
More details are here if it helps Fees | NiceHash
Just trying to find the easiest way to split my wallet 50/50 BTC/ETH for long term without paying huge fees in exchanging and transferring
You can post anything about the change in fees, but you cant blame the ones who were not informed about the fee (and paid dearly for it).
Check reviews in google play (1-3 stars)
Or algorand or anything with a dirt cheap transaction fee.
But if you're only going to convert it back when you finally get to your wallet make sure the conversions are actually cheaper than just actually moving the hbar.
Also check changenow.io. A little cheaper sometimes than Exodus' swap I think.
Problem with Shapeshit https://shapeshift.io "Please note: the Ethereum and Bitcoin networks are currently experiencing significant congestion. Transactions may be delayed for hours. Also note: the miner fees have significantly increased due to the network congestion. All ShapeShift miner fees are listed on the About page."
The lower the block number, the older the block is. The higher the block number, the newer the block is. The very first block ever mined on the Monero blockchain is literally block #1, mined in April 2014. You can actually see it here.
Yes, as long as you don't have any Monero transactions dating to before January 2021, you should be safe using 2265000.
Thanks for the help ...but when I check s1.ripple.com and s2.ripple.com at "http://www.isitdownrightnow.com" they both show up "down" ... also , where exactly do I insert the host file code ..on mymachines host file ?
>I am new to crypto.
A few things to note:
Avoid all DM's from anyone claiming to be Exodus support, asking you to put your seed phrase into a link. NEVER, I repeat NEVER, give your seed phrase or private key to anyone, nor should you ever put it in any site for any reason.
I would stay hardware secure if possible. Exodus and Trezor link up on a number of coins. If you are converting to Exodus from another wallet, then make a new wallet on Exodus and send your funds there, obviously as was previously stated, don't use your 12 word seed from hardware to reference account on software. I definitely think Exodus is secure and there's no evidence of historical breaches or anythign like that. Exodus is as secure as your computer, implying you have adequate anti-virus/anti-malware, are using VPN and firewall, and seed phrases are written down hard-copy and stored in multiple locations (different houses/safety deposit/etc.) and not stored digitally. You can stake ADA in Exodus, but cannot stake ADA on Exodus through Trezor. ADA should be staked/supported through Trezor on Yoroi. Also, refundable fee is 2 ADA w/ transaction fee (non-refundable). Exodus exchange is not KYC, however I found exchange rates to be outrageous the few times I used it and I think its cheaper to use Fixedfloat.com or stealthex.io to exchange (using LTC or XLM). In terms of taxes, you can probably avoid taxable events through obfuscation in exchanges. Especially if you wash with XMR.
In addition to this giving some alternatives to do exchanges can help him. Typically I use changenow.io (no registration). There are ofcourse others like changelly.com, but always first check whether or not an exchange is trustworthy.
I always use changenow.io (regististration not required), changelly.com is also another one but there are ofcourse more, but it's up to you if you want to use the exodus exchange. If you do decide to use some other exchange always look for reviews whether or not they're trustworthy.
> "Rece
Thank you I put my receive address on Changelly recipient exchange address and then I click "confirm and make payment". After that I'm at this page https://changelly.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/Processing_Changelly-address.jpg . Does this mean it's finish transferring or do I have to do something else?
Hi there, We would love to hear the reasons you are migrating from Coinomi to Exodus. If you have a few moments please connect with our support via email at support(@)coinomi.com or via live chat on support.coinomi.com :)
So, while the NFT will likely show up once we add ETH NFT support, it's recommended that you don't keep it there. Currently, while NFTs don't display in your wallet, their ETH value does. If you happen to send ETH out (or you send an ERC-20 token out, thus using ETH for gas), and the wallet happens to send out the ETH tied to the NFT (or use that ETH for gas), the entire NFT will be sent our or otherwise lost.
So, it's recommended that you move it out of your Exodus ETH wallet. The way to do that is to export your ETH private key to a wallet that supports NFTs, which will allow you to interact with the NFT. The most popular wallet for that is MetaMask.
Hey there, thanks for reaching out! If you have your 12-word seed phrase backed up, try reinstalling Exodus: https://www.exodus.io/download/
If that doesn't work, unfortunately, we don't have the tools to remedy this problem here. Please reach out to our support channel: https://www.exodus.com/contact-support/
We've had a large influx of users recently, which has lead to our support team being backed up a bit. However, sit tight, and I can assure you that your support ticket will be answered. Thank you for your patience!
Remember, Exodus will NEVER ask for your 12-word phrase, password or lead you to a website that is not Exodus.com. Be cautious of individuals impersonating customer support. They will most likely reach out to you privately.
So sorry to see that you're having issues.
Unfortunately, that message can be for a number of different things and doesn't give us much of a clue.
All I can suggest is to try it a few more times as not every attempt is successful yet unfortunately.
Also, please make sure you're running the latest version of the wallet to assure that everything is working properly. Newest update is today:
https://www.exodus.io/download
And you could try closing the app and doing a full reboot of your device. Sometimes giving it a clean slate to work from gives it a fresh connection.
If those don't work, please contact the Exodus support team at support@exodus.io and one of the support team can help you figure out what's going on.
You have More than 25 Pending Transactions. It looks like the ETH network is very congested. I would wait longer. If this still remains an issue, contact Exodus Wallet support.
NOTE: Exodus Staff will NEVER ask for sensitive information, including passwords, 12-word phrases or private keys.
Hi u/botanist667 -
No , you're not missing anything. XMR is not currently supported by the Exodus/Trezor integration.
You can see which assets are supported by Exodus and our Trezor integration by referring to our Status page on the website:
https://www.exodus.io/status/
Hi u/b0hater -
Sorry but DOGE is not part of the Exodus/Trezor integration.
You can see the list of assets that Exodus supports and whether or not their supported by our Trezor integration.
https://www.exodus.io/status/
So, it crashes with both the Apple App Store and Google Play apps?
Are you following the download links through our official website?
www.exodus.io
There have been a lot of fake apps lately and just want to make sure you have an official download.
Hi u/xKingOfHeartsx -
That's a new one I've never run into before.
Are you running the most recent wallet release from a few days ago?
https://www.exodus.io/download/
If so, I would close the app, give your computer a full reboot and then start up the Exodus wallet again. Sometimes just a clean fresh slate can help things like this.
You could try closing the app and giving your phone a hard restart. Then boot up the app again. Sometimes that gives it a clean slate to reconnect to the network from.
Also, please make sure you're using the latest updated version of the wallet which can be found here:
https://www.exodus.io/download/
If those don't work, you may have to wait for support to get back to you so they can dig in a bit deeper than I'm able to.
Hi u/fanht1234 -
Please make sure you're running the most recent version of the wallet here:
https://www.exodus.io/download/
Please feel free to contact the Exodus support team at support@exodus.io and one of the support team can help you figure it out.
Hi u/Bobo_The_First -
Of your list, Exodus only currently supports ZIL.
If you have questions about any others, you can always check our Support Assets list on our website here:
https://www.exodus.io/status/
Hi u/blopaf -
So sorry that you having these issues.
If you haven't done so already, please update your wallet with the most recent update which just came out yesterday. The newest version can be downloaded from our website here:
https://www.exodus.io/download/
We have been experiencing issues with XMR over the last few days though - so if you're still have issues after updating, please contact the Exodus support team at support@exodus.io and one of the support team will help you dig a little deeper to figure out what's going on.
Hi u/fook_the_kneelers -
Sorry to hear this. It sound like you're taking some of the correct steps but let me go through the list to make sure we're not forgetting something.
If you're still having issues, please contact the Exodus support team at support@exodus.io and one of the support team will be more than happy to help you figure this out.
Hi u/Weebwithalaser -
Please make sure you're using the latest version of the wallet that was released a couple days ago. (version 20.11.23)
https://www.exodus.io/download/
Then please try doing a complete reboot of your computer and router in order to give the network a clean slate to connect to. Sometimes that helps in the rare occurrence that the syncing doesn't work.
Hi u/NeverQuitGames -
You should be able to see the custom fee slider as shown in the article you cited.
Are you using the most recent version of the wallet? Please check the version you're using and download the latest from our website here:
https://www.exodus.io/download/
Hi u/JDHadwin!
Exodus does not currently support those. If you scroll down the "Status" page you can see all the assets that Exodus currently supports:
https://www.exodus.io/status/
Sorry - Exodus does not currently offer custom tokens.
Hi u/DulesAdamos -
If you scroll down the "Status" page on our website to the "Supported Cryptocurrency Assets" section, you can see all the assets that Exodus supports and which ones we support with Trezor:
https://www.exodus.io/status/
Hi u/LordBandimer -
Sorry that we couldn't help you out with your exchange, but XMR is unavailable from time to time due to regulatory uncertainty in some areas which causes a limited number of exchange partners for us. You can always check out the status of any of the assets Exodus supports by checking here on the website:
https://www.exodus.io/status/
We always show the current send/receive status of every asset the wallet supports as well as its availability for exchange.
As far as scamming you out of your money...
Exodus never holds or takes control of your money. You are always in control of your own funds and are more than welcome to send them to another wallet or an exchange that can service your needs.
Best of luck to you!
Hi u/cinemonloops -
Wow...that's quite a ways off! So sorry for this.
Which platform are you using? Desktop or mobile? If it's mobile, do you use Android or iOS?
Have you upgraded to the latest version from yesterday? (Version 20.8.19)
https://www.exodus.io/download
Hi u/Netskyz -
Sorry but there's no savings rate on BTC. There are several other assets that pay back rewards though. If you scroll down this page to the Supported Assets list, it shows which assets pay rewards and their current approximate rate:
https://www.exodus.io/status/
Hi again u/Arc_004!
Please update to the latest Exodus version here:https://www.exodus.io/releases
The patch for the Cardano Shelley hard fork is now live on the website for desktop! Mobile versions for 20.7.31 are pending approval by the App store and Google Play.
Hi u/phenomdagreat -
So sorry for the bad experience today. The XMR exchange is temporarily unavailable. Sending and receiving XMR is still operational though.
If you ever need to see the status of any cryptos in the future, you can check the "Status" page on our website:
https://www.exodus.io/status/
** UPDATE **
u/mathouwaart -
All XLM issues should be taken care of. Please update your wallet to the newest version:
https://www.exodus.io/download/
Thanks again for your patience and understanding.
Hi u/Yorkshire80 -
Actually, there are quite a few ERC-20 tokens that are supported by both Exodus and Trezor.
Here's the complete list and which ones are supported:
https://www.exodus.io/status/
The website says " Copyright © 2019 Exodus Movement, Inc. ", so sounds like a US company.
A quick search on this company, as no Incorporation Number is given, shows:
Exodus Movement, PO Box 1448, Atlanta, GA 30344
Georgia (404) 395-1524
Personally I am little surprised there is no official registered office but just a PO Box, as well as no clear information on there Incorporation number...
Hi u/thetoastofTomJoad -
Sorry for any confusion you're experiencing.
v19.10.18 is the correct current version. It had to be temporarily pulled earlier today for a few last minute tweeks which is probably why you temporarily saw v19.10.11
Everything should be up and running with the latest and greatest though so please download the current version v19.10.18 again and you should be all set. https://www.exodus.io/download/
Again, please accept our apologies for the confusion this has caused.
Hi u/Zaidinator7 -
Your wallet will perform the best if you're always running the most recent update. New updates are released like clockwork every two weeks. You can always check the date of the most recent release and download it from our official site here:
https://www.exodus.io/download
You can check as often as you like but it's not really necessary. Your assets shouldn't be any less secure if you're running an outdated version as your assets are held on your computer - not in the software. Just make sure you're running the latest version so that when you do use it, you're able to take advantage of all the newest features.
Hi u/omega015!
All new releases of the Exodus wallet can be found on the releases page.
https://www.exodus.io/releases/
Be sure to check it often and download the new release. They put out a new release about every 2 weeks.
No problem. I've noticed the Exodus team putting out a lot of warnings lately on Twitter. There's a lot of fake posts/videos/instructions floating around right now.
ALWAYS check the Exodus roadmap and download pages for updates first.
https://support.exodus.io/article/96-exodus-wallet-roadmap
https://www.exodus.io/releases/
Check https://www.exodus.io/status/. Scroll down and at EOS you can see: "Send and receive operational. Exchange temporary unavailable for maintenance. Should be back up soon!", so just some sort of error, but they're working on fixing it.
Hi /u/stralex7,
Gas is not configurable in Exodus. This is intentional as Exodus' intention is to fit the needs of the widest group possible. This is done by automatically retrieving the appropriate rate on the fly to have transactions confirmed as quickly as possible.
If you have more questions, join us at the Slack (bottom of the page!
Hi, yes the most secure and feature rich wallets are litcoin core and bitcoin core, but you have to wait to download the blockchain into an ssd of preference and that could take some days... Of course there are easier alternatives like the electrum for bitcoin and electrum for litcoin. For eth you have their own wallet as well, but remember to always download the software from the organization sites like https://www.ethereum.org.
Huh. It sqeems like OP is using a third-party audit app that happens to also be named Exodus, hence the epsilon vs letter "E": https://exodus-privacy.eu.org/en/
Still, it is possible that this third party app is unreliable, so OP should reinstall either way. However, the official Exodus team should respond to this because we should know what trackers do they use and why.
It would be a good idea to set up an account with Bitwarden for your password management, and change any passwords you have to be unique and unbreakable:
It is absolutely critical to not use the same password for any services.
Exodus removed the email backup feature in January 2019 to avoid issues with people who had their email hacked.
If you click/tap "our modmail" in my comment above, that should take you to a screen where you can message us.
There can be network error messages on the exchange tab. Just to make sure, this is the official Exodus app on the Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=exodusmovement.exodus
Hey there! You're using the official Google Play store app, right? I've tried searching exactly for "Exodus: Crypto Bitcoin Wallet" on both my daily driver and a completely fresh device, and our app is the top result each time.
Our internal philosophy is that everyone in the company is a part of customer service. It doesn't matter if you're actually in the CS department, a programmer, an accountant, or our CEO. You're a part of the customer service experience. This book by the late Tony Hsieh of Zappos dives into that philosophy and is almost required reading to work here.... Although, I admit that I haven't read it myself yet, haha. I'm most of the way through Dune currently.
Thank you for using Exodus!
Get a VPN. ExpressVPN, PIA and Proton are all decent. I used PIA for about 3 years, and currently using ExpressVPN for about 1 year. Both have pluses and minuses, privacy plus speed ExpressVPN, ease of use PIA.
Hey there! That's weird, you shouldn't have to restore your wallet every time you open it up. Just to rule out foul play, there are a handful of fake Exodus apps out there that we're always trying to take down. Did you download the official app? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=exodusmovement.exodus
If you're using android, then this is the link to the play store's official app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=exodusmovement.exodus
If you open this link in the play store (not browser) and this one shows up as installed, as in the buttons would say "remove" and "open" or "installed" or whatever, then it's fine
I'm also a part of the Samsung gang. Let me see if I can help you out.
Go to the Google play store and search for the Exodus Wallet app. It should say update on the right.
I would also turn on auto update by clicking on the three circles on the up right hand side and then clicking Enable auto update.
that doesn't look like a better option.
It looks like it could cause me a world of troubles?
On that note: The Hydra grew a new head:
"Exodus: Crypto Bitcoin Wallet TRX,BCH,ETH,XRP"
Stay away from that, too (except to report it)!
Hi u/aromyok -
I don't believe there's any immediate plans to add PRQ. All assets have to meet a certain set of criteria before they're considered for addition to Exodus. That information can be found here:
I'll be happy to log your request though. Thanks!
This is for educational purposes only. Privacy is very important in this current age, so many people are using a VPN.
One such service, called Private Internet Access, has also been known as a method of privacy regarding downloads of torrents that normally ISPs will end up blocking your Internet access over.
Some have reported that they have used Private Internet Access exclusively, and other VPNs for YEARS without any issues...
So yeah, set that sucker to Canada, or Germany and do your thing.
