IIRC There was a crazy guy on /r/iamverysmart that maintained (or maybe is even currently maintaining) a website on which he periodically publishes new chapters of his "sequel" to The Art of War
I wish I had a link...
I use privacy.com for shit like this. Free digital debit cards you can set limits on, like "lifetime $50 spend" or "3 charges total" etc etc.
I've gotten notices multiple times from food delivery companies trying to sneak in an extra charge or renew a membership they weren't supposed to.
That's not been my experience. I'm using an un-rooted, stock, fully updated Note 8 right now with bxActions and I've had my button remapped to Google Assistant without trouble. None of the updates have disabled it, broken it, or changed it on my phone. Hell, I haven't actually had to think about it since I installed it last year.
...that said, I hate the button and fully agree with you on how stupid it is (and don't get me started on how awful I think bixby is)...
I have the same kind of LED strip, and there are definitely individually-addressable LEDs. I have a few feet on the back of my monitor right now that reflect what's on the screen. This is what I have specifically: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01B5AMRBS
But even so, you wouldn't get that evenness of lighting without a much greater LED density. That Amazon link has actual photos.
Or less flights per day? Nonstop flights between Los Angeles and San Francisco next Friday: link
This is probably the item it came from:
Amazon:
MTD 710-0895 Screw-Hex Tap 1/4
It's a genuine item, just a bad picture. Compare with this eBay listing for a very similar item.
eBay:<br> Genuine Original MTD SCREW-HEX TAP 1/4 Part # [MTD][710-0895] The seller of that one says: > Please note that item pictured may not be 100% representative of what is received. Image provided is sometimes a stock photo provided by the manufacturer so please read above description for further product detail.
I've completely quit using weather.com because the website just plain takes forever to load, when all I'm after are like three numbers. I had no idea they were just hiding a way to provide a faster site experience with a push of a button.
>Again, not true. Mac's are reasonably priced when new models hit the market. An example is the Mac Pro, which was considered a great deal (less expensive than building something alike yourself) when it first came out. The only reason they are considered behind the curve is because of newer hardware that comes out in the meantime, until a new model comes out.
Hahahahahaha.... oh wait you're serious. HAHAHAHAHAHAHHA!
Oh man I can't even deal with this level of fanboyism. You actually tried to state that macs aren't constantly behind on hardware even though macs not adding new drivers for new hardware is an ongoing and well known issue. And then you tried to state that mac's aren't over priced.
Here's an article that smashes your hypothesis to dust. It goes over every mac build offered on their site and offers a part by part listing for a slightly better home built PC that is around $700 to over $5000 CHEAPER than a mac (depending on which mac we're talking about). And the only reason it's not even cheaper is mac is so finicky about what hardware you can even install it on. There are far better builds out there for cheaper that can't run mac because they can't be bothered to do the drivers.
This is about bit rot which occurs on HFS+ and is something I have too much firsthand experience with. Bit rot is something that has plagued the HFS+ system since it's inception.
I think I come at this from a fairly unique perspective, as someone who's industry is media production. I don't want my work ripped off, because that's how I pay the bills, so likewise I'm not going to rip off others (I recognize this is not typical, and I don't hold others to this standard).
However I do also believe in fair use. If someone pirates a movie because they want to make their own trailer, or because they want to show a specific scene off to a group of people, that's cool. Heck, it may even convince more people to go out and see the whole thing through legit means (e.g. "oh, hey, that's on Netflix!").
Or even if someone wants to take the work and do something experimental and relevantly transformative, like recutting Memento into chronological order to show Teddy was a good guy, or trying to prove Hamlet was going mad by cutting out any scenes where Hamlet was either alone, or alone with Horatio.
The last two examples are probably quite liberal in what's considered "fair use," but you still need to understand the original to make sense of the edited version, so it's not like it takes away from the original in my opinion.
However making a video to demonstrate how to rip off a piece of software (either depriving that company of a sale/subscription, or a free piece of software the chance of being considered; seriously, DaVinci Resolve is fucking legit) and then tries to monetize that? Now you're just being greedy and you deserve to have your ass shut down.
When I looked for "3 pcs hawaii tropical leaves tablecloth display", the only item it found with marijuana leaves was this:
2 Pieces Weed Leaf Tablecloth Pot Leaves Tablecloth Tropical Rectangular Table Covers Disposable Rectangular Table Covers for Kitchen Dining Room Party Home Decor (51.2 x 86.6 Inches)
They don't care about deniability.
Not really because I’m not buying NordVPN. I rolled my own. I’m not buying Hostinger, I have my own web server. I’m not buying audible, I already have it. I’m not buying Hell Fresh, I can cook. None of these sponsors have anything I want so why would I not block them?
>so there's another one I have up on you.
I'm amazed at your clairvoyance. Pray tell, what kind of phone do I have then?
> you refuse to learn how apps and mobile phones work,
Again, a failure in research. I'm a professional IT admin, and support around 150 android and iphone devices in far more rigorous an environment than a personal phone would likely be.
>nd you believe that an imaginary narcissist in the sky will save you, and maybe even me, if you pray hard enough.
Again you are showing your ignorance.
But I'm gonna throw you this bone, so you can stop looking like a fool in the future. (I wish!)
Salvation depends solely on accepting Jesus as your personal Savior.
That's it.
You don't need to even touch a Bible tbh.
You don't even need to be a particularly good person (I don't know many who are).
All you need is a sincere desire. That's it.
Ok, I'm done talking nice to you, back to my accustomed vitriol:
Our modern culture isn't the 'pinnacle' of anything.
Everything is always in transition, always changing.
100 years ago, advertisements were little pictures in catalogs that told you the features of the product. They didn't enjoin you to spend your money for a vapid promise of a 'life experience' as modern advertisements do.
And everything changed, and mostly got worse.
And its become so accepted in the modern day that millennials are literally clueless about a world without ubiquitous advertising.
And rally to defend it simply because they're addicted to the media it is attached to.
>GrilledCheese_monger for the win today!
There is absolutely nothing more cringeworthy in an online debate than to declare yourself winner halfway through.
Actually, my favorites are Pentel Energel Needle point.
I like Bic marker pens. These ones.
Technically they are markers, but they write like pens.
That being said, I do have some G-2s that I use occasionally.
