In lieu of seeders on the older torrents, you might want to try a download accelerator like the open-source app Motrix, which will let you download the ZIPs from archive.org with 64 parallel connections (providing torrent-like speeds).
Most laptops don't have the ability to take an HDMI signal and display it on their built-in screen. You could get a portable monitor to do what you are asking.
https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B08F2BWX2V/
But as others have asked, why don't you run the games directly on the laptop? Even a several years old laptop will be much more powerful than the hardware that's in the puck.
You can use a spinner and attach a steering wheel to it. Someone recommended this one that easily replaces the Atgames spinner on the housing.
It would be great to find a larger steering wheel with chrome spokes w holes that would work. I was just talking to an old friend about this.
It definitely changes the nature of your controls as they are not easy to swap out. They do come with interchangeable joysticks but you still have to remove the bottom to change em.
I use an ALU and have an LGP just for the sticks.
These would work too and still allow you to play other games more normally. The installation looks like it would require some effort to connect to an ALU
Totally!! I use this powered USB hub for what its worth, it is nice because I can choose which USB's get power so I can switch between console and arcade. Good luck, I am loving mine.

Not sure exactly how any of what you're saying works, but I started using this:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07QTJZD99
There's a slot atop the bitpixel to fish the switch out and I just turn it off (data, not power) when going OTG. I have a KVM I was trying to get to swap back and forth and it corrupted the TF card. Something with the switching. I found that if the Pixelcade was off when I switched, it worked fine. So I built in a switch. Still in testing, but I think it should work to switch the Pixelcade data off (and maybe power off also via smart switch and Alexa), switch to OTG, and then turn them back on.
It'd be a REAL pain without the data switch and power switch, but I think it'll work fine with them. In theory I could find and route a bitpixel-compatible power switch atop the cab too, but it's just so easy to yell at Alexa, I don't feel the need.
I really don't think - because of the angle.. that it would block any part of the corner..
This is the fastest 400mbps if you use USB3.2 with the best budget price range you can get. It's amazon choice product so would be better.
It's easy enough, just slide the BitLCD up and then remove the thumb drive. Although, I did order one of these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0952Z8KT7 just to see if it works (not sure if it will yet, won't get here until Fri.). I have no problem hanging it off the top-back of the cabinet.
There is a very cool option that will change the restrictor plate with a push of the button.
ThunderStick TOS GRS Switchable 4-to-8-Way Restrictor All in One Kit https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09R3SDY8G/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_T7ZGFKSVBV7A3093272H?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I created a joystick hack for food fight to make it playable in mame2003-plus with any joystick. Read here how to use and post a review or questions. https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/25593/food-fight-joust-joystick-troubles-solved/119
On a sanwa jlf 8 way digital joystick with 8 way restrictor in place a delay of 2 works well for me. The delay has to be set based on user preference and controller type though so adjust until it feels right. I typically test to make sure I can stop on the diagonals without any trouble. Then test quick directional changes left to right to see that it lands where I want. If it doesn't the delay may be set too high.
On a analog joystick I have a dead zone of 15 set in the core options but this can be adjusted to preference as well. Delay can be set at 0 for analog but I find it sets stops too fast for some of my controllers because it's setting stops as your releasing the joystick, so a little delay here helps too.

Strong recommendation to use this with some orchestrated video game music (I use Zelda, HoMM2 and 3, Portal, etc.) from YouTube. I have 20 or so smallish mp4 files and just let it roll in shuffle.
I'm not sure if there is a faster way but I would suggest using
FreeDownloader as it helps with any disconnects and will easily resume
downloading your file. This is what I've started using and it's free and
opensource, no spam, no b.s. It's usually slow because there aren't a
lot of people sharing at the moment. https://www.freedownloadmanager.org/

Thanks for the tip. Yeah, I use something similar on my ALP - the PNY Elite-X Fit line:
https://www.amazon.com/PNY-Elite-X-200MB-Flash-P-FDI64GEXFIT-GE/dp/B01LFV52Y6/
For my ALU, I had a spare 128GB microsdxc lying around and pair it with a tiny micro reader:
Just a heads up if anyone else does this - you have to rename all the .avi files to .mp4. .avi is just a container format, and most (or maybe all) of the .avi files from the saUCE are encoded in a way that the ALU can still play them, even though it is programmed to filter out everything except .mp4s.
An easy way to do this is with Microsoft's PowerToys - once installed, it can add a batch rename option to the right-click explorer menu.
I had better luck downloading the big files with JDownloader. https://jdownloader.org/jdownloader2
Also, double check that you actually have enough space free for this on the drive you're downloading to. :)
7zip is a better, free, mostly open source, file archiver/unarchiver:
Winzip is a program that you must pay for if you continue to use it past its free trial period.
well remember. you're not going to get desktop speeds on this, the cpu, the usb bus, the usb drive, all come into play on here. the size of your library also matters. if you're running a large collection. if you're technically include you can remove games you aren't interested and whittle down the size of the library. search /r/FansOfsaUCE for instructions on how to do this.
i am currently using this drive on mine. really it's the initial load of COX that is slowest, 2-3 minutes, slight lag moving between collections, other than that it's acceptable.
ohhh yeah. 4g is too small. i'd make it 16 minimum. get a 256G drive minimum for v5 or 512 for some of the larger compilations. the sandisk ultra fit is pretty popular, usb 3, small size, be sure to put it in the usb 3 (blue) slot. i have a 512 in my ALU and a 256 in my ALP.
When the 1.1 came out, I bought it and sold my 1.0 for twice the price and ended up with a 1.1 with pinball buttons for free. I lamented the loss of the onesauce, but ultimately I've been very happy with the 1.1.
If somebody is REALLY interested in doing this and already on this forum, you might consider picking up a USB drive and seeing if somebody who would otherwise buy sauce from Etsy (boo!) would be interested in a used 1.0.
For $50, you could get a half TB for either v5 or onesauce today.
These are from that instructables page. The author made an Amazon shopping list, there's a link if you're interested in looking at it. I just ordered the usb cable so I haven't had a chance to try it yet

I don't believe so. ATGames is not Chicago Gaming, so these aren't even made by the same company.
I know the Arcade Legends 3 pedestal can add games, but you have to buy the official game pack microSD cards/hard drives.
Here's an upgrade drive that only gives 21 added games: https://www.amazon.com/Arcade-Legends-Game-Pack-532/dp/B00LD5BUGY
According to the product description of the analog GRS Flight Yoke, it's compatible with the ALU via usb.
I'm not sure how this would play on Afterburner but I'd like to get one and mount it on the front of my ALU for Star Wars
edit: I did try Afterburner with my newly installed Tron stick and could not barrel roll
Would the Tron Arcade Joystick work with Afterburner to provide this function? Would it also work with Space Harrier? I hope so, I bought this on amazon per heads up on another post here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07X8DZ344/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I haven't installed it yet but I'm glad I grabbed it when I did, as its unavailable again.
>CPU - Rockchip 3328 Quad core 1.5GHz SoC, Cortex A53

That's exactly right. You can buy this exact board for about $40. https://www.amazon.com/Libre-Computer-ROC-RK3328-CC-Renegade-Ethernet/dp/B078RMQYHS

Buy this and plug in to your arcade and router. You'll never log in again. Well, once, but then it stays logged in.

Why not just remove the tiny antenna whip and replace it with a hi-gain antenna on the top of the machine away from all the other components and skip adding extra complications to the system?
This is all you need. Use one of the Screw holes and the existing crew, and a little bit of double sided tape and it's gold
Went with the single USB method and used this:

I've heard good things about a fire stick running happychick. I had a GPD XD plus that was a pretty mighty little handheld and used happy chick. If you can map the controls, it seems like that'd be a great way to hook up an ALU.

You may want to consider this:

It does up to about 120" comfortably. May feel a bit wasteful to lose all that space on the right and left, but playing on a 6 foot high vertical feels awesome.
