Might I suggest the unbeatable combo of a short jersey dress with leggings? Looks dressy but feels super comfy. As for leggings, lately I've been into ODODOS leggings from Amazon, some of which come with pockets. Opaque, stay up, and so cozy.

These are what I buy, I’m also a size 18/XXL. They’re comfortable, high waisted and don’t fall down, have pockets big enough for my giant cell phone, have held up for a little more than two years so far without wearing out on the inter thigh from my chub rub, and less than $30. I have four pairs and I wear them all the time, they’re my go to pants.
Got my first shipment today! They only sent one dress, but they extended my trial by a month. I went with this one: http://closet.gwynniebee.com/products/love-squared-lace-trim-a-line-dress
I wasn't sure if I'd like it, but it's super cute in person. I sized up based on previous reviews and it fits like a dream. Very floaty and feminine. Check me out here: https://imgur.com/a/uQ3xn
Just don't judge my lack of makeup and crazy hair. I threw it on as soon as I came home from work and saw the box!
Wal-Mart. I don't really know what you're looking for, but this selection ranges from suiting pants, 5-pocket style pants, to knit pull on pants.
It's definitely pricey shipping into Canada. In high school I would order from Torrid maybe once or twice a year and have it shipped all the way to Labrador, so I know that struggle. Try to take advantage of sales and coupon codes to make it a bit less crazy. Always check here! But in the end I think it's worth it. Torrid's pieces have lasted years for me, the quality is solid.
where’d you find the top? i’m obsessed with the corset style tops and can’t find any in my size anywhere. and i think it would look best with a flowy skirt... maybe something similar to this
I have a few of these I got from Amazon. The brands were “UrbanCleo” and “JollieLovin” and they were super comfy and loose. They say they only go to 3x but I found they ran quite large so maybe check the size chart? Here is a link: JollieLovin Womens Plus Size 3/4 Sleeve V https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0756WHDNY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_NLT4zb8WM9RV5
I had a pair of winter boots that bunched at my heels, and I found tongue pads from amazon helped!
Depending on how bad the pressure is, they might be worth a try.
If the boots are leather, you could also try taking them to a shoe repair store and having the calves stretched out a bit so they stay up better. I've done that a couple of times with boots that don't quite fit.
I hope you find something that works for you!
Can you sew? While my mother & grandmother didn't teach me to sew so that I could tailor my own clothes, it's what comprises the vast majority of my sewing. I ALWAYS have to hem pants, unless they're sold as pedal pushers and those usually come to my ankles.
If you have access to a sewing machine then adding elastic can be done in a few ways, and one of the prettiest is shirring by putting elastic thread in the bobbin and running a few 'lines'.
If not, then for pants at the very least you could use iron-on hemming tape.
I could go on but there are so many options available if you can use a sewing machine, thread, and needle it'd turn into a novel. To learn *how* to tailor your clothes I can't recommend the Vogue Sewing Book strongly enough. I bought my '75 copy at a thrift shop and even though it's that old it's still incredibly helpful because, let's face it -- bodies are still bodies and clothes are still clothes and good fit is always going to be good fit.

I've done well with this one last year! It quickly became my favorite for comfort and coverage. I liked it more than my swimsuit for all set which was okay but quite compressing.
You'd be surprised! They're solid colors and I've seen all colors under the rainbow but here are a red pair, 15 bucks! They also can be found by looking up athletic or sport socks

I see you've been recommended a lot of tankinis but as an alternative fashion option I prefer cute tops with high waist bottoms. Example of 2 pieces I got from amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071XSQK72?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Also it goes without saying I'm buying from Amazon lately. I'd suggest a light sundress to go over the suit and a long sleeve shirt with spf protection. The sun where you are going is going to a whole different animal than what you are used to and you will absolutely badly burn in less than an hour of exposure. You want to get a tan through the sunblock, do not use tanner.
As a personal preference I prefer to buy reef safe sunblock particularly sunbum and bain de soleil. Maui Island products will be great to protect and soothe your skin and "lock in" your tan.
I've had really good luck with my torrid leggings. I also just got these leggings from Amazon and while some people commented about the seams, I haven't had an issue.

Given what your job is, I'd recommend something more like a pair of spanx, like the shorts. When I was doing a lot of physical work, I wore those and it helped reduce the thigh rubbing which causes those lovely ruined jeans. They're hella tough too and you can still wear leggings over them. They're pricey and depending on the kind you get, can be a little uncomfortable at first but might work for what you need.
These are cheeky and I love them

Here is one that I recently got off of Amazon from the plus-size brand Hanna Nikole that may be of interest: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07V8FBPMV/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_nADQFbWD75MYR?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
If you’re in the US, there is a stick (looks like a deodorant stick) made by Goldbond that worked wonders for me. Even if you’re not on the US, I’ve found it on Amazon from Australia and Singapore.
That being said, from Australia it’s pretty expensive so I’ve searched around a bit more and pretty easily found an anti-chafing cream called 3B Action Cream, so I think there will be more products out there like it.
Both of the linked products have worked really well for me, and I chafe REALLY easily.
Good luck! :)
I have these in a bunch of colors, I love them and have used them for 3 years now.

I have the same problem, except I'm tall! Lol. I just had some luck with some pants from Christopher & Banks. Maybe check them out - they're on sale right now: https://www.christopherandbanks.com/pull-on-signature-slimming-luxe-stretch-plus-size-ankle-pant-040040700004169.html?dwvar_0037281271_color=0240&tbindex=0 They're suuuuper comfortable and not loose in the thighs/legs like most pants I try are. I roll mine a bit so they sit above my ankle.
I also tried these on with Prime Wardrobe: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00WB24BTG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_srAxFb5ECTDEB The fit was great, but they were SO short on me. I'm 5'10", so I bet they would be great for you. They're super affordable too! 😊❤

I just bought the Vassarette Women's Comfortably Smooth Slip Short Panty in black and light tan in 3X and they fit amazing! They don’t roll up my legs or down on my tummy and are still short enough to wear with above-the-knee dresses. I’d recommend them for sure. PLUS; they’re only $8.00-$8.50 a pair.

I really like these from Amazon. I just buy 1 size too large so they don’t actually feel like “shapewear”, and they last for a long time—and I live in a walking city.
I did the runner’s gel thing for a couple of summers a few years ago, and never again. It’s nice not to have to wear something else, but having to constantly find places to reapply when you’re out for the day is not fun.

G2 Chic Women's Women's Basic Casual Lounge Spring Summer Maxi Dress https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01C36EP54/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apap_uUNart8R2z2hS
I just got this from Amazon and I love it! It's true to size; maybe even a bit on the big side. Lots of different sellers have the same dress in different patterns. I already have ordered 2 more and I plan on living in them this Summer.
Some women complain about the length so if you are on the tall side this may not be a great option, but I thought I'd put it out there.
I have a few pairs of hush puppy ballet flats, and they have size 10 C/D flats in 10+ colors. They run a little expensive, but they've lasted me a few years.
Edit: I hope the link works
The high waist jeans actually worked pretty well for me but only because of the design of the top I wore. I wore them with this hoodie I got from amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M2ABMK0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It does wonders for my figure with any type of jeans!!! but I normally see a faint jean line..It wasn't there with the high waist jeans. The hoodie is long and banded
So yes to high waist jeans, if the shirt is long and banded
I'd like to suggest bodyglide in lieu of deodorant on inner thighs- I also use it under my breasts as a barrier against where my sports bra "cinches".
Please check with r/abrathatfits that you actually need a 44DD.
44DD is the "one size fits all" of plus-size bra sizes. If you are chubby with a larger bust, this is what fitters will stuff you into because it is often the largest available size in the store.
That said, I would recommend the Goddess 689 to you. It is a strapless bustier that has saved countless busty plus-sized brides already.
http://www.amazon.com/Goddess-Womens-Lace-Bustier-Black/dp/B00127Y6WI/
I just bought this one, love it! Covers yer bum (I'm 5'10'' and it covers my bum and a bit down my thigh) and its not heavy, but nice and toasty. It's about $100, so I think that is pretty reasonable but I don't know what it's rated like temperature wise but I live in IL and its doing great so far (it snowed and was in the 20's/30's the last few days). It has a reflective lining to keep heat in and doesn't add bulk. I usually wear an 20/22 & an 1x or 2x shirt and I took the recommendations about it running a bit small that I saw in the comments and bought the 3x in black. I have a Columbia black fleece vest in a 2x which is tight with a sweatshirt, so I believe they run a little small. So size up and it will be perfect, especially if you have layers or a sweater on too. I'm on mobile, so I apologize if the link isn't right, but this is a link and the name of the coat. Happy shopping!!
Columbia Sportswear Women's Mighty Lite Hooded Jacket https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00GSTGXYY/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_zfrvwbTSR87K4
It's okay, arrives quickly. I recently ordered two pair of jeggings and a black puffy vest and it arrived before the projected date. I stick with brands I know work (Faded Glory).
Here's another little secret - love these tops/Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KXR6UJA/ref=twister_B00KXR6UCW?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
They're sheer, so you'll need to wear a cami or tank.
