You really should be working on the Android version(you call it Samsung?) and then make the money that way. I just don't see this Kickstarter raising $40,000 when there are currently other alternatives available that DO work via bluetooth.
I suggest you check out Kainy. It is capable of bluetooth controller as full button customization with keybindings. It's main feature is streaming your PC games to your phone, just like how Nvidia shield works. Also supports up to 5 connections.

I bought two different types of replacement thumb sticks for my controllers.
The original sticks have a little notch that is cut into the side of the left stick that ensures it doesn't interfere with with a surface mounted component on the controller PCB. The ones from AliExpress have the notch and they were cheap so I ordered a set to check them out. The feel of the rubber on the sticks is OK, but not quite as nice as the notch-less ones from Amazon. The difference here is the color and thickness of the plastic. The notched ones are thinner and lower quality plastic than the notch-less ones. The notch-less stick does not seem to interfere with the PCB.
If you are interested in replacing your sticks, I definitely recommend the notch-less variety from Amazon.
There's no cheap, high quality way to do this. You're either going to pay a bunch for a Gamecube specific adapter or you're going to get a subpar experience through an inexpensive composite to HDMI adapter that's liable to result in latency issues.
Since there's lots of examples in this thread on the higher quality solutions, here's a cheap(er) low quality solution. This is the current "best seller" composite to HDMI video adapter on Amazon, no clue how well it works but it claims to do what you're looking for. Since your monitor doesn't allow for audio, you're going to have to get some speakers in the mix. If you've already got computer speakers with a 3.5mm plug (like headphones have), you'll need to use an RCA to 3.5MM adapter with females on both end to go between the Cubes audio cables and the speakers.
You could also get a low-latency gaming-oriented capture card, I don't know enough about this to even recommend something. For my money, I'd just spend $15 on a tube TV from Goodwill.
Please be wary though of reviews on Amazon. So far I am yet to find someone with a single problem who I know who actually purchased the controller. There could have been a bad batch of controllers released, but from my knowledge there so far does not seem to be. Also, the most upvoted reviews are the 5-star ones so far.
Nintendo still makes GameCube controllers for Smash Bros and they work on normal GameCubes. They have a longer cord, and they're on sale on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00O9GW8VK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awd_UeuaxbZ10SYFK
If you're looking for absolutely BRAND new controllers Amazon still sells Smash 4 GC controllers for $26 each. Here is one
I've been looking around Amazon to see the prices of GameCube memory cards when this one caught my eye. Is it actually a legit working card? What is the largest memory card can the GameCube handle?

Mario Kart and Zelda. I lost my Double Dash progress the same way. Thank goodness I didn't have to beat it again.
If you can't get a full screwdriver set (I have the $70 iFixit set, but I'm also in IT) then this should do the job.
I had seen other users do similar approaches before. This took about 30 minutes. Products used (non-referral):
It's about a $15-20 cost. Probably not worth it if you're just doing it for one jewel. Since it's such a small piece, I'm sure you could use the kit on your headlights after or do a lot of jewels.
yeah, these are super prone to failure. Plus a Carby will provide a much better picture.
No unfortunately that doesn't work, you can buy a brand new name brand 1019 memory card(that's massive btw) from Amazon for ~20 shipped

why don't you just make a wireless receiver that only connects to your controller and therefore removes the need to even change channels from the receiver? It uses rf signals so maybe you could make the arduino receive them from a specific channel from the controller. Seems pretty interesting, as other people have made wireless controllers based off of what the wavebird receiver. This is what I am talking about btw
That GameCube is a DOL-001 which means it has a digital A/V out port. You can see it right in the photo you posted, next to the multi-AV out. Do yourself a favor and if you can afford it, pick up a Carby V2. It's an adapter that you plug into that digital out port that will give you HDMI. It's direct digital to digital conversion and the picture quality is amazing. Also, check this list for progressive scan compatibility. If a game supports it, hold down B on your controller when booting a game to select progressive. MarioKart Double Dash in progressive scan with a Carby V2 is a treat.

Oh! I am perfect for this!

Essentially, I only cared about the acceleration and top speed. For a 55 mph kart, the fastest accleration is the Toadette Kart. It is 1.551 seconds.
56 mph: Koopa Dasher <---- also my favorite one overall at the lowest acceleration (1.551) to speed ratio
57 mph: Bloom Coach (for reference, the acceleration is 2.563 seconds.)
58 mph: Parade Kart (acceleration 2.661 seconds)
As for characters, I use Diddy and Toad. This is why: Toad's special is the unlimited use mushroom, so I put him in the back if, for some reason, I get thrown into last place. If I am in first place, it is incredibly unlikely to get his special, so I use Diddy. His big banana special is incredibly common when you are in high places (like 3rd and up you get at least one a lap) and is very usefull for both blocking and preventing the CPU's that are in 2nd place and below. Essentially, Toad gets you to first place, while Diddy let's you keep it. I've been experimenting with this game for a while now and I now use : Toad + Diddy Kong on the Koopa Dasher.
Hope this was helpful!
No problem. Wii over component is great too though since it allows for 480p which S-Video on a GameCube won’t. Only some games allow 480p mode though (complicated I know).
Here’s a list if you’re curious: https://ipfs.io/ipfs/QmXoypizjW3WknFiJnKLwHCnL72vedxjQkDDP1mXWo6uco/wiki/List_of_GameCube_games_with_alternate_display_modes.html
I find any of the branded 3rd party cables work just fine, though I have OEM ones and use s-video, though you say you don't want those. I bought these for other consoles and have been happy with them, but their s-video cable sucks and I went with a different brand.
I use thin Glossy brochure paper. When double sided is out of stock I buy single sided. End result is very good quality. Photo paper is thicker than factory so I don't like using it. Been using this method for a very long time. Used to do this for custom dvd cases back in the day, then eventually began doing it for any games I buy that have missing artwork (usually from Gamestop).
this was my last purchase. Nice, thin and works great.
I also use a cheap paper cutter.
Oof. I don’t envy you. The Hanshin Tiger Shell is I used this.
The stickers did not come off on my shell, but I dunno if the Hanshin Tiger Shell has additional stuff on top of the serial number sticker and whatnot.

Grab the real GC cables, or a GC Video HDMI adapter (EON on Amazon, Zelda X Pro ZXP, or 3D printed via ebay all between $100-150).
The HDMI adapters work great.
Or find an HDMI modded gamecube which still run between $150-350.
Other than that, find a $8 CRT TV from goodwill or craigslist. CRTs still look amazing even on composite.
The seller says they’ll ship if you want to try and snag it. I already have Mario kart cib and not really wanting to spend $65 rn. here ya go
I had the exact same issue with MVP 05. I would make 4-5 saves of the file, just for them to corrupt.
I found out the Wii has a bug, that can cause your memory cards to corrupt data. All my memory cards had been used on my Wii, so solution was to buy a new memory card. And don’t put the new memory card into the Wii!
If you’ve never put your memory card into a Wii, then I would assume it’s just dead, and probably time for a new one.
Either way, new memory card is the way to go!
Hope this helps!
EDIT:
Link to memory card I’m now using, has worked for 4+ years now
If you like Super Monkey Ball, then #2 is a fantastic sequel with a huge focus on multiplayer which is great if you got people coming over from time to time... Also of course Mario Party is a great choice for that too.
Super Smash Brothers Melee is a tough choice, because if you DON'T do multiplayer often, for me it gets really really boring after you unlock stuff... Its meant to be played with friends. (I know I'm gonna get flak for this somehow). Get it for the multiplayer ONLY due to lack-luster singleplayer after you unlock the characters (which to unlock them is a grind in itself for some).
Mario Sunshine is fantastic, Luigi's Mansion is fun but easy, and Pikmin is excellent for single player game. Both have unique play styles that you wont find in other games (Mario being a small exception due to it still being a plat former in its core.)
SSX 3 and Mario Golf are good for sports games, both a bit over the top, SSX 3 quite entertaining, but its visuals were fantastic back in the day, not sure how well it holds up to now.
Other choices? Not my cup or tea, or bad reviews. Read up on Metacritic for detailed reviews of each.
All the ones I listed are all games I would easily buy if you have the ability to get them all, they aren't all MUST HAVES (aside from Mario Sunshine and Luigi's Mansion, only because I think they are staples)
Try running DVD Identifier on those Maxell discs. It will tell you the actual Manufacturer Name and Manufacturer ID for those discs, which may help you find other companies selling the exact same media under a different brand name.
Tweaking the potentiometer is easy, but obviously you don't want to tweak it for one brand of discs and then wind up having problems reading other types of discs. The ideal case would be to find recordable media that you have easy access to purchase which also work in the GameCube, so that you can tweak the potentiometer if needed, and then leave it there.
The gamecube disc drive is one of the worst in the universe, from what i've read from modders. I guess the stock advice would be to "go to gamestop and ask them to fix it", but http://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Repairing-Nintendo-GameCube-Optical-Drive-Assembly/1491/1#.T-KHMhdpeLI this guide should help you get to the disc drive if you feel very heroic, and at this point you could probably mod it to run the games off of an SD card.
That advice was probably useless.
I used to burn discs for my Gamecube, back when the Max Drive Pro was the go-to softmod :P
I had failures using various burning programs, but the one that did end up working for me was Express Burn (be warned, it installs adware and stuff). I'm not sure if it does anything special when burning, but it was the only software that ended up in success. I'll note that it still took a few tries and misreads before my discs worked in GCOS. Even after booting, there was always a risk of read errors (I never did POT adjustments on my GC).
When I did burn discs, I used Maxell miniDVDs and the DVD burner that came with my desktop.
I've transitioned to using SD Gecko/IDE->EXI + Swiss nowadays, given the ease of use.
Let's go through the possibilities:
If it's an official component cable in good condition and they know what they have, they'd be asking for more than that.
If it's an official component cable in good condition but they think it's just some random old cable, they'd be asking for less than that.
If it's an official component cable in bad condition, you probably don't want to buy it anyway unless you're up for the challenge of repairing it.
If it's a Bitfunx component cable, then the price is about right, but it's not the same quality as an official one.
Honestly, unless you have very specific needs, you're almost always better off just buying a Carby or other GCVideo-based HDMI adpater, and using an HDMI-to-component converter if you need component.
Latest versions of Swiss support saving to SD card adapters (excluding the GC Loader since it’s an ODE) via a virtual memory card.

I just bought this tri wing screwdriver for the sole purpose of open a GC controller.
https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B08BZSNKVS?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
It works and cost me $7.50 CAD. Other people have suggested larger screwdriver and bit sets (which are useful for electronics and other stuff in general), but if you just want the bear minimum for this job, this screwdriver plus a butter knife should be all you need.
Thank you! I was hoping someone might like it enough to want one of their own. if you don’t want a framed one, I have a spare I could send you! The first print was too close to the edges once I framed it, so I had to adjust and get a second one made. If you do want it framed, I could also just send you the file if you want to get it printed yourself! I used mpix to print it, and was very happy with the quality. Also, Also, this is the frame I ended up using., its not perfect, but it’s one of the only ones I could find with the right size matte. Finally, I was admittedly considering trying to sell this on Etsy or some other site, so if buying it outright is something you’d be interested in, that would probably be enough to make me go forward with the idea and list it. Just let me know!

I definitely think the shimmering is helped by the gloss clear coat but it's all just flecks in the paint. You'll see it go everywhere as soon as you start spraying lol. Good luck with yours can't wait to see it!
I ended buying this and paired it with one of these because I couldn’t find an adequate usb controller. I didn’t wanna put extra wear n tear on my original controllers, but those work too. The usb controllers won’t work correctly with games like Sunshine or Metroid prime that need the analog triggers. Most usb controllers are based on switch, which doesn’t have pressure sensitive triggers.
I’ve used a brass wire brush with excellent results. It’s much gentler than a steel wire brush, but it doesn’t take long to get it back to a more normal state. Takes maybe 2 minutes of brushing.
This is the kind of kit I got mine with: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B000N31ZFS/
So as im sure others have pointed out, if you want clean HDMI, you need to have the original DOL-001 version of the gamecube. The original model had a digital out, as shown in this pic.
When you convert the original analog signal (the yellow, white, red cables) it looks like garbage converting it into HDMI and it'll have input lag. There's no way to get around that, really. If you do have the model of gamecube with digital out, you're in luck! The digital signal can easily be converted to hdmi with certain accessories. For example, I use the Retro-bit Prism. The link I posted is its amazon page. It's on sale for ~$75 right now. I bought mine a few weeks ago and it looks fantastic. It has the console output to 480p for any game that supports it, and upscales it to 1080p for your TV. No noticeable input lag, and the games will look so clear that you'll start to notice just how low quality the textures/antialiasing on the gamecube were when not masked by blurry CRTs. There are other HDMI adapters like this one, this is just the only one I've used, and it's one of the cheaper options.
Would this get the job done? I know it does nothing to improve quality. I'm just worried about things like the aspects or color getting messed up on the tv. Basically I want something that's cheap and does the job. I can upscale later if I want
Looks like a rebadged Kaico adapter, should work fine but obviously I can't make any guarantees. Otherwise it'll be the same, uses the digital port and can line double 480i/576i or output native 480p/576p if you force it with Swiss.
Here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075JDRHV3/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_WK23R2S9ZC7X8S7W7F4W
I recommend keeping the stock buttons and going easy while screwing stuff in. The right one is easy, but the left one is very tricky and takes much longer.
You can look up averages on pricecharting.com, but the console is going for about $90 right now, controllers are going for $30, and memory cards are all over the place. I would recommend getting this memory card because it’s reliable and has a lot of storage.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000HT2IBS/
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000FGNM6I/
I ended up with one of each of these, both worked fine. I had Swiss on one and GBI on the other, would just swap the cards around depending on what I wanted to boot as that was faster for GBI than loading through the AR software, into Swiss and then finally into GBI.
IIRC the card should be formatted to FAT16. And a bonus tip, rename your Swiss .dol file to "autoexec.dol" and AR will boot it for you, rather than you having to select the file manually.
I did the xeno chip, and boot with Swiss... and use the SD2SP2
I can play ISOs off a MicroSD card (need to boot off Swiss), I can play original disc games and I can play world wide games.
Xeno chip, $7-10, SD2SP2... $5-10...
Under $20 for everything.... and I can do the same thing with KEEPING the optical drive.
Well I opened your link again and they were higher at $159. Below was “recently viewed” and that one was 72.99-154.99. So I have no idea! Haha here is what I ordered for $102 Atlantic Oskar Adjustable Media Cabinet - Holds 1080 Cds, 504 DVDs or 576 Blu-Rays/Games, 30 Adjustable and 6 Fixed Shelves PN38435714 in Espresso https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0058O8GUO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_Uc3cGbX3F6DRA
There's this mount for using a standard 40x10mm fan such as this Noctua one.
In the picture are MK2's. I paid $99 a piece for them and they are definitely worth that. If I use the HDMI side, I also plug in an mClassic inline.
On the other hand, If you have the cash, you can buy a brand new one from Amazon for less than $40 right now. It’s a Japanese import but functionally equal. I just bought one today and it will arrive Friday. It should last you till you die basically.
Nintendo Game Cube Controller Super Smash Bros. Black Japan Import https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HC2F97Q/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_bD8.Fb1Z8VM95
They're terrible. Worse than terrible. You aren't saving money by buying them, you're spending more because you'll spend money on landfill fodder and end up getting an official one anyway.
Official controllers aren't even that expensive. Used of course varies by condition, but Nintendo's still selling new-in-box OEM Smash branded GameCube controllers on amazon japan. Even factoring in shipping these are half the cost of buying a PS5 controller for example.
I've replaced a few batteries with this
https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B06XF3K4NP/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_Dx.TFbK7N8RBR
To get ride of the yellowing you'll first want to wash it with dish soap. Then submerge it in peroxide (I used a ziplock bag) and let it sit in the sun or under UV lights for 24hr+. You can also use permanent developer. You can find that at any salon shop.
Only VGA on the monitor, right? No HDMI? is it a flat screen monitor or an old CRT?
Any adapter that converts composite or S-video to VGA should work. I do recommend seeking out a Nintendo S-Video cable, as it will yield a far superior signal than the standard yellow composite cable.
This one seems to get good reviews on amazon
If you really want to go above and beyond, you can hunt down a GameCube component cable on eBay, but those are very pricey. You'd need to get a component to VGA adapter instead, but the result would be visually superior to every other option. This solution would also work with a GameCube-supported Wii, and the cable would be even cheaper.
Last but not least, don't forget that you'll need a solution for sound as well!
Short answer: No.
Long answer: Most 3rd party controllers being produced today or even from the GC's day are more often than not really junky, with the exception being the Hori controller line for GC. The Cirka line is especially bad, they may have identical molding but the build quality is way worse than a Nintendo first party controller. I've read lots of negative reviews for them from people who bought them for competitive and casual play and almost all said this controller was inoperable by the end of 2-3 weeks.
Curiously, why not opt for the Smash Bros GC controller? Even at full retail you'd spend $29.99, it would be a long term investment and you wouldn't have any button hiccups. Also used controllers are fairly inexpensive as long as you get loose ones, I'll leave some links for you to check out.
Just get a first-party S-Video cable and an S-Video to VGA adapter like this: https://www.amazon.com/Composite-S-Video-Converter-Screen-Version/dp/B003NUN7DG
That would be the easiest way to get a decent quality signal (The S-video looks far better than starting with composite). Obviously a mod on the digital out is the best way, but this might just work.
EDIT: There was a Gamecube Aficionado on Amazon who tried this and seems pleased: https://www.amazon.com/review/R20WW7MOZDDE83/ref=cm_cr_dp_title?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B003NUN7DG&channel=detail-glance&nodeID=172282&store=electronics
It is technically an upscaled 480i image, so if you absolutely must have that sweet sweet p, you'd need a hard mod.
Check eBay and Amazon, both have them. They have the single game and 2 game cases(the multi CD cases are much more expensive)
here's a link to a 5 pack Nintendo Gamecube Replacement Cases (Quantity 5) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004PWKPGS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_VI-Wyb4KBYYJV
The included adapter is kinda a piece of crap, I'd recommend replacing it.
But yeah, amazon and eBay are solid choices, some game stores might have them but from my experience they want over retail in 75% of cases. You need an action replay for your GC region and look for the "Works with Wii" branding on the packaging.
Here are some examples:

I bought one off Amazon for around $10, has 2048 blocks. Forget the brand but it's in the top sellers. Works fine so far, had it a few months.
EDIT: HDE 128MB (2048 Blocks) Black Memory Card for Nintendo GameCube or Wii https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CHRNOPW?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf
There are other brands of 3rd party memory cards on Amazon as well.
I know you live in Europe so I am sorry if this doesn't help, but nintendo are actually releasing brand new gamecube controllers later this year in the States. They did this same thing with Smash for Wii U and they were great. Here is the US amazon link: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate - GameCube Controller https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DJX3Y47/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_uMRoBb33RFA1A
For Ritek04s, get the Fujifilm 10 packs on Amazon. I've also had decent results with the Phillips Duplicator Grade, also on Amazon. But they're not Ritek04s so your mileage may vary. I should also mention my modded GameCube was bought on eBay last month so I assume they already did the pot adjustment.
You can buy bulk DVD cases and just use those. I got some cheapish Chinese ones, 100 for $26 on eBay. I printed my own cover art for my loose games too, it came out really nice.
If you have Amazon prime you can pick up these. I can't personally say anything about them but if price is your deciding factor, it's not a bad deal. Additionally if you're interested in printing high quality cover art let me know, I can give some tips.
I have the gold and it looks amazing, but it looks weird next to the Switch's blue and red.
If you want another fun little gadget for the switch, this speaker fits in the headphone jack and makes the handheld sound a good bit better. I love it. Works great on other handhelds too (3ds, 2ds, PSP).
Keep an eye on Amazon Japan because they have been restocking the Smash Ultimate Controllers for $18 with about $10 shipping to the USA. That isn’t bad for a brand new controller.
Sold out from their official store right now. I’ve gotten two from them the last three months. https://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/B07HC2F97Q/
Yeah the contact cleaner I got is the WD-40 one ( https://www.amazon.com/WD-40-Specialist-Electrical-Contact-Cleaner/dp/B00AF0OFVU/ ) and it's plastic safe. In addition, if you read through the comments, you'll see a lot of people who were able to solve the joycon drift problem with them
I usually prefer SanDisk or Samsung. I went with a Samsung 128gb because it was on sale at the time (and the SanDisk wasn't).
https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B0887GP791/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_hExuFb2VCKGN9
Just tested it out, it's damn fast!
Don't bother with the Carby component cable. Get a regular Carby and an HDMI-to-component converter. Reason being, you really want the latest GCVideo firmware so you can disable chroma interpolation for best results with GBI.
This is what I mean by stacking them, I have cd sized ones. I got that mixed up in my head because I was thinking of the ones I own. Op and I do the same thing, I didn’t think through what I wrote earlier. https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/478758716104114179/747846847342575758/image0.jpg Here’s the U.K. link I found for the cd ones. I couldn’t find the dvd kind, it may be someone reselling them in the uk cause they weren’t the same seller as the USA amazon ones. https://www.amazon.co.uk/GYJ-Waterproof-Portable-Container-Organization/dp/B082NQ93G3
You should be able to find a universal adapter that works. Like this one Amazon Link
Pretty sure the screens run on 12 volts like the Gamecube does.
I've actually used a cheapo cable for the better part of a year and I haven't had any issues with it. Really clear image on my s-video compatible CRT.

These Mayflash adapters just came out. Component video to HDMI over the multi-av connector found on various Nintendo consoles including the GameCube. Seem good for under twenty bucks.
If you want HDMI then go for a GCVideo adapter (Carby, Kaico and so on). If you need analogue component there are 3rd party cables, but you should avoid them. The GCHD MKII has an extra output that would allow you to use Wii component cables, but you can use any other GCVideo HDMI adapter along with an HDMI to component converter and you'll spend less overall.
A Carby plus an HDMI to component converter is as close as you'll get.

Get rid of the mCable and get a RetroTINK 5X Pro instead. Use an HDMI to component adapter for your HDMI adapter or use OEM Component cables.
The third party GameCube controllers available now are all overpriced crap. You can get used GameCube controllers on eBay for about 35-45 USD, or you can get the Smash Bros. Controller on Amazon brand new for about 50.
This it’s my list of components:
D-Planet [4-Pack] 5A DC-DC... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079N9BFZC?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
2PCs USB-C Type-C PD Trigger... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08LDJBN8P?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
In theory, you can use any kind of accessories because USB pd's have enough power in volts and watts to match the OG power supply.
Yeah, it just looks funky like you used a bigger fat tip, but not trashing your soldering or hating or nothing like that, just looks funky lol.
This mod does have some pretty small points to solder, but it's working great for you so that's all that matters.
I tend to use the tips that have a very small little curve to them, if that makes sense. The small tip irons don't work very well for getting the solder to melt properly, so I started seeing people using the ones with a bit of a curve, and it helps a ton for solder jobs. I almost always use one like this now:

Not the exact ones I use, but ones similar like that seem to work great for this stuff.
You using a GB Player disc, or going the alternate route and using GBI?
Sooo I had a few disks like this growing up, and this hunk of junk weirdly did the trick every time. I don’t know if it’s the same brand, but it was definitely just a wheel looking thing with some form of solution like this one. Seemed like a gimmicky piece of garbage when we got it, but it worked shockingly well. Pretty sure I made it work with GameCube games, but definitely not its purpose
That would probably work but I would stick to one of the exact cards on the compatibility list. Personally I never buy anything other than SanDisk or Samsung. This is the card I am using with Swiss/SD2SP2.
Thank you for the reply :), i use this converter: https://www.amazon.nl/Converter-Composiet-USB-kabel-Ondersteuning-Blue-Ray/dp/B08L3FBMGZ/ref=asc_df_B08L3FBMGZ/?tag=nlshogostdsp-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=494700319327&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=10666994245437989207&hvpone=&hv... which is extremely cheap and is probably responsible for the bad video quality of my games.

I have the Prism HDMI adapter with an mClassic. The Prism adapter does improve the quality a bit but the mClassic really makes it look incredible, if you have a PC monitor it works flawlessly upscaled from 480p to 1440p and works for a TV as long as it has Enhanced DVI mode capability.

Proper upscaling is the key to making it look good on a modern display. You could get a Carby or Prism for decent results with GBI, assuming the console is a DOL-001. If you can't find a DOL-001, you could use S-Video with a RetroTINK-2X and it would look fine. If that's out of your budget, I would say just stick with a CRT (still use GBI, though).
Unless I'm mistaken, that's the second serial port. Used by a modem or network adapter. However, a common aftermarket use is to add a SD card reader there to load games off of using SWISS.

>With that setup, what exactly do I need to link the BBAs? A router with enough ports?
A router would work but your better option would be a switch. You could also go with a slower one (not going to matter with Gamecubes) with more ports if you want to dream about hooking up 16 Gamecubes at once.
I keep hoping someone will make a modern BBA solution for the GC that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Maybe something based on a Raspberry Pi Pico W that allows us to use both ethernet and Wi-Fi.
I know this wasn't your question but what I use - and have used for the last few years - is the EON MK-II HDMI Adapter. Of course this requires your GC to have a digital out port.
If I didn't already own this I would also go with the Carby like so many here have mentioned.
It uses a gamebit screwdriver. Can buy both sizes cheaply.
Hey guys, just thought I'd share a design concept I've created for a Gamecube Kiosk. Much inspiration taken from the original kiosks. Found this desk here and thought it'd make a perfect base for a kiosk/station at a decent price.

Pick whichever one you like, they're effectively the same.
I found this soldering station and asked another redditor in this thread about it but they didn’t respond, how’s this compared to the Hakko? Also, just to make sure this is what you use, correct?
I did some quick searches on each product on Amazon & luckily they all have Prime shipping so when I save up enough I’ll order everything in one go. Btw do you have any recommended circuit boards & such that I could practice on? I’m not sure what speicifcally I’d do need to do for practice in order to prepare myself for these kinds of hardmods.

This one is just a heat gun, since you already have a soldering iron this one should be fine but they have dual ones too; the soldering iron isn't that great, the one on mine broke after a year or two
This kit from iFixIt has all the bits you need for just about every console made. The driver is a bit too thicc for the Gamecube though so you also need an extension.
I'm in europe and had to search similar items that are available here. Could you please tell me if this charger would work, too?

Ah, I see! So an adapter like this would work to convert it into HDMI? And, to that, I would connect the mClassic for instance to upscale the image?
