Unless something has changed in the last 2 years, you can 100% bring it home and use it for training purposes. It was highly encouraged at my precinct, so you don't have to use up time at work simply exploring the toolset.
MRI itself is custom built Windows PE disc, with lots of business license programs loaded onto it, TDSS killer, Acronis, Webroot, etc.
As others have said, there are a lot of free tools you can use. I'd recommend YUMI on top of what others have recommended: https://www.pendrivelinux.com/yumi-multiboot-usb-creator/ because you can load a bunch of tools on to the same flash drive, and YUMI is just a bootloader for all of them.
You have to install air watch (link below)first. Once done- There is some form you have to fill out on the mobility services share point that requests UWO and then its pushed to your phone

I had a mix of certs and college. Nothing special. I had my Apple certification, but I also had certifications for audio production, videography I gained through college. I also worked at a tv station in my early 20s. At that time I worked part time at a tv station getting certified in different programs for that, then also worked with teachers to develop interactive lessons and certified in blackboard and programs used for interactive teaching. After that I moved onto Geeksquad for 6 years as an ARA. So when the educational IT job came up. They saw I had a past of audio/video and IT and that’s what they wanted. Plus they wanted someone who has worked with faculty before. So my combined jobs kind of folded over into this one new job. I have 20 years of audio production behind me as well as I’m 38. My current job I do do IT for computers, but I also work with audio, video and projector equipment, give teachers lessons on how to use products, troubleshoot and fix a lot of this stuff.
So it’s a broad field job. I am working on my SQL skills now though in my free time to move up to that eventually and maintain code for databases. My friend does this self taught through online classes, and makes 70k. SQL is something not to be overlooked as many companies need that full time, and pay better than my current job. I always try to just learn a bit of everything to widen my skill sets. Helps me to keep moving forward with the future.
This is a good place to learn and start SQL!
And free SQL starter here.
There's no installer package for flavorless Chromium you just download and install. It's only available on the Chromium.org page as a source file you need to build yourself.
If it's on someone's computer then they've either compiled it themselves and therefore are already way above the level of needing Geek Squad, or it was packaged with something else, probably some kind of malware in most cases.
I got my badge within this last year. The holder fell apart in less than a month. I have two agents who have had their badges for some time and the quality of the leather on their holders seem to be made much more durable than what I received.
I got a replacement off of Amazon: Oval Police Badge Holder Belt Clip - Optional To Use Around The Neck - Black Leather https://www.amazon.com/dp/B006KH6YAM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_rmhyBbBE3E714
Fits fine, looks fine, and so far very durable. https://imgur.com/a/QsyvvKW
Edit: make sure to use the little leather rings it comes with on the pin of badge to keep the badge in place.
It's probably the same as their Quickbooks.com login info which is in their saved passwords list in Chrome. :P
If not, you make a phone call. If they don't know it, that's on THEM.

I stopped recommending it after hearing from my co-workers that Webroot missed a lot of viruses. I did a bit of digging and turns out it’s ranked pretty low online: https://www.av-test.org/en/antivirus/home-windows/manufacturer/webroot/
As for skipping the email during installation, does still work?
I think it used to generally be true that products that aren't handled frequently as part of their normal use did not have protection plans with ADH, but that doesn't seem to be the case anymore.
I just checked a desktop computer, wired computer speakers, and a router on the website. The protection plan you can get on them all include ADH.
Btw - found a company that offers ADH on TVs

Screen Cleaner Spray (16oz) -... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B082XJJ8DS?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share This spray got stuff off my 15 years old TV that I thought were permanent marks. Turned out to be some kind of oil or grease. Nothing else did ANYTHING to it and this stuff wiped it right off. Now it sparkles like brand new. YMMV, but screen cleaner is much better now than it was 20 years ago.
In Geek squad central there is an autotech tool list that will highlight most of what you'll need otherwise I'd snag These from harbor freight are critical imo being as it has the 5.5mm which is used on various platforms. Honestly you can outfit darn near an entire toolbox from there for a reasonable price. But I'd splurge for these knipex flush-cuts for zip-ties and the diagonal cutter for copper wiring. I've had two for darn near 4 years and had zero issues with daily use.
It’s a little dated at this point, but the founder does have a book that’s along those lines. Amazon link for those interested: The Geek Squad Guide to Solving Any Computer Glitch https://www.amazon.com/dp/0684843439/
They are out of white D: sorry dudes.. Here's the link to save

Something like this maybe? Set it up with your own PC to get it connected to WiFi, then hook it to your Chromebook.
