> I think that this chapter lies in this context very much, like in the part with the lanterns crafting.
Yes, I also think the manga did a very good work in that scene. In the novels, the characters are surprisingly thoughtful and insightful. They reflect on their actions, feelings and motivations a lot. But that's very difficult to translate to a more visual medium, like manga.
> They can be blamed only to a certain extent: the first manga chapters honestly point to a precise direction. And, I do not have any number, but I have the strong feeling that the first chapters and their (involuntary) "false promises" attracted a lot of audience.
Ha, indeed! Let's be honest, there's nothing like a initial shock to attract attention. It worked for the manga and it did wonders for the anime. Ironically, I didn't know of its fame when I first checked the manga. That was a wild ride XD
That was very interesting, and it assuages some fears about Goblin Slayer. True, it may not be as popular in Japan as in the West (seriously, Crunchyroll's numbers alone are astounding, and would probably be even better if not for regional limitations), but they seem to have a decent opinion of it. I wonder about the actual views, though.
The one that seems to have a bright future regardless the region seems to be Rimuru. Not bad for an Isekai about a slime.
FYI. the latest chapter it's already out.

Why dont you try D&D? is better than any MMORPG, the hard part is finding a party/DM that works well with your type of playstyle.
Take a look at roll20.net and see some games.

Marty McFly was right. Look at all this cool stuff. Also, anyone know about this new book from Kagyu?
I don't know if you've already seen this but Crunchyroll tried to do this exact thing. Personally, I think his alignment would be lawful neutral and that he might have some levels in barbarian (with the whole glowing eye thing).
Hopefully, it will be the official adaptation. That book is not out yet. https://www.amazon.com/dp/1975318315/ref=cm_sw_r_awdo_navT_g_75EGP6212YEV9N2HQA3V
Baring that, yeah any of the D&D clones which market themselves as both "old school" and "dark" will fit well. One that comes to mind is Lamentations of the Flame Princess and Labyrinth Lord. (Be aware that LotFP is basically suffer-porn in that all PCs die horribly every time if you run the modules as they are written.)

i am no expert on D&D but crunchyroll posted a good looking stat sheet Goblin Slayer hope that helps you ..
> I'll be honest, I'm kinda glad there was a little outrage for it. I might not have found out about Goblin Slayer otherwise.
It seems that it was a common occurrence. The month it was released, GS topped Crunchyroll's rankings. I believe that controversy helped a lot in that case.
How did that famous quote put it? “There is only one thing in the world worse than being talked about, and that is not being talked about.”
> Hell, when considering all the details of goblin captivity, the constant rapes aren't even really the worst of it. If anything, it'd be the constant goblin childbirths within days of each other that would be the most horrifying. Can you imagine that would do to a girl? On top of that, there's the sadistic torture, unsanitary conditions (where does all the birthing fluids go?), and extreme neglect (why would they care for them?).
Ugh, don't remind me. I've just finished reading vol. 5 and the way the goblins "take care" of the dwarven fortress is sickening. Still, kudos to the novels for not delighting in describing each and every detail, but giving hints so that the reader can put the puzzle together by themselves.
For example, I'm a great fan of how the first death in the series (Warrior's) was told: "The torch he had dropped on the ground sputtered and died, and in the darkness that pressed in suddenly around him, he was amazed how loudly his screams echoed". No gore, no gratuituous details, but enough to imagine the horror of what's happening. Not the style people will usually associate with Goblin Slayer, though...
Thanks! This is a Pentel brushpen in extra fine (other sizes works just as well) The ink is water soluble and can come in a variety of colors - the brush tip do need some practice
It is common in the stationery and/or art supplies stores in my local area, but here's a link to amazon for you

You can purchase it in paperback. I actually found it in Barnes & Noble though.
The light novel is ahead of the manga now yeah.

Amazon is your best bet. They have up to Vol. 4 of the Light Novel (which is currently being illustrated in manga form for Brand New Day series). You can order digital or hard copies.
Volume 5 is next English release. It won't be out in the US until September 18.
The anime debuts in October. We don't know exact date and streaming service yet.
> Volume 2 of the manga still probably has a few more chapters left before it's finished.
There are four collected volumes as of chapter 21. In English, v02 comes out on 17 April and v03 comes out on 12 June.
