I have the same problem. It's going to be a real issue this year with a baby in the back seat. I have to aim all the front vents away from the front passengers as much as possible until the temperature gets to an acceptable level then aim the vents back more towards the front passengers.

But maybe something like this will be better than the fans you've been using?

• I’ve heard mixed reviews on head units. I almost ended up with the Alpine Halo11 - my installer ordered it and it was delivered before he realized it didn’t support the second side mirror camera on my HR-V like he said it did when I agreed to buy it. Not a huge deal for me, but it gave me a second to think about it. I also didn’t like that CarPlay was wired-only, and the 11” screen was only 800x480 res. I didn’t get to see that screen in person but that poor resolution seems like something I definitely would have noticed on a screen that size. The JVC screen is bright and gorgeous, and wireless CarPlay works extremely well. I use wireless on short trips to the store (just leave my phone in my pocket), and on any lengthier trips I put my phone in my ProClip dock to save battery. My only (very small) gripe about the JVC is there is no ambient light sensor to automatically dim the bright screen at night like our smart phones can do. I’m not sure if this is something any other head unit offers, and I didn’t think to even consider it while shopping because I kind of take that feature for granted nowadays. But I can tweak the brightness settings manually whenever I need to with two clicks.
• Here is the sunglasses holder. It took a couple months to finally get here (USA), and it was a pain to install. I actually destroyed the old handlebar clips getting them out, so there’s no going back. But once it’s in, it works great.
• Here are the headrest hooks I got for shopping bags.
• Everything else is easily findable if you search by name.

I bought it and it fits okay in my 23 HRV, it definitely fits the 22 Civic a lot better when I put it into my friend’s 22 Civic. However, I drove like over 12 hours with it using it for Google Maps and it was extremely stable and never fell once. I just need to place it a bit better because the hazard lights button does get blocked a bit by it.

I do really recommend it still though, it’s worked really well for me despite the not 100% perfect fit. I’m not sure if the width of the honeycomb vents and dash is just slightly off between the 22 Civic and 23 HRV. ANYWAYS though, I highly recommend it!

Mine (2016) crapped out a few months ago. I took the two movable flip up/down things out and used one of these in the front part… and one of these in the back part.

I have something similar to this and works great but the magnet is too strong and I can’t pull my phone off without it popping out of the vent so I have to slide it down which isn’t an issue. Although I do wish my vent wasn’t blocked.

I second using a CD slot mount. I have a slightly different model than the one listed above (although iOttie is a good brand overall). Mine can sit at different angles and can twist or pivot out of the way when using my back up camera.

This one goes in the CD slot and does NOT cover the screen whatsoever. It sits nicely above it and can swivel vertical or horizontal. I use it with my Note 9. No complaints.

I have an S20+ and use this phone mount. It sits really securely in the CD slot even with my big phone in a case. I have the EX-L Navi trim and it does make my phone sit over the screen a bit, the only time I find that problematic is when I'm trying to use my backup camera, but it's great otherwise. I've just been snapping it in as soon as I'm out of the driveway and it's worked well.

I use drink sleeves to make sure cold drinks don't sweat into the cup holder - like these.

When I selected my model hrv it said that these would not fit my year. I found these that Amazon said would fit my car.

Sorry for asking a dumb question but will these replace my main headlights and my fog lights? The two little lights on the bottom on my car that are below my headlights? Or are those bulbs different from my main headlights?

I have the '16 without carplay. I bought the week after graduating college. I was elated to have such luxuries as power windows and locks!

After 5 years, the best way I have found to mount my phone is to use a popsocket on my phone and mount the popsocket holder right to the left of the screen right between/above the screen and the vent. Your daughter may already have one on her phone! Easy on-off and you can still see your regular screen to change the music.

I don't know why but this site seems sketchy and had okay reviews with other products. There's also this one on amazon that had mix reviews because of it being small and no velcro.

These are the bulbs I put in~$40, the rubber gasket fits perfectly without any melting/overheating, and no fan noise at all (they’re fanless with a heat sink instead). Headlights and fog lights are both H4

Wait, I think we're talking about different FM Modulators. The one I'm talking about is a little box that hides under the dash or under a seat and wires directly into the antenna. There's basically nothing to see except the jack/cable and the remote on/off switch (if your model has one). There's no interference because when the switch is on, it essentially cuts off the car's antenna and only feeds in its own signal. The USB ports aren't going to work for what you want, unfortunately. Even if you had a DAC with a USB connector, the HR-V only looks to the USB for reading data files.
