I bought these books for my partner’s parents for Christmas. I will be 12 weeks on Christmas Day when we announce. They can stay at Grandma and Grandpa’s house for when they babysit! baby books
I bought some Preggie Pop Drops and they provide some relief. Here is a link (I bought them on Amazon). I also have in my cart the Tummy Drops brand (also available on Amazon). I haven't tried those yet but they have been recommended a couple times to me. Hang in there!
It looks like they have this one that is. It's meant for babies, but I don't see any reason why it couldn't be used for an adult
I really like it! Particularly because when i turn from side to side (like 179474 times per night) i don’t have to take it with me, because there’s a support on each side. It makes me feel like I’m getting a “fresh” side if that makes sense? I’m sure there are plenty out there and I would imagine they all work essentially the same. I bought it for my last pregnancy and got it back out around 10w mostly because i just like it. You can also unzip and remove one “arm” and i took that to the hospital with me for labor and breastfeeding and it worked decently for that too.
I will disclose that I have never washed it and ya know, judge how you will on that one...
I got these on Amazon! Highly highly recommend. Last time I didn’t buy them until third trimester, and I regret not getting them sooner!
I am five weeks today, and my husband surprised me with my first mommy gift.

I just posted the Amazon link because I'm a Reddit newb and don't feel like uploading my pic to another server to get an image link. 😬
If you don't want to click it, it is a water bottle with a straw that says, "Keep calm, you're a super mom." I'm pregnant with my first, so not a mom yet, but started bawling because of my whacked emotions.
When I was trying to drink water from my regular water bottle in bed, he noticed my struggle, lol. ❤
Things we couldn’t have done without: - hatch rest sound machine/ night light. It has enough settings that it was perfect for breast feeding, and the sound machine is perfect. Still use it to this day, and it’s on a timer so I never even think about if. - zip up swaddle sleep sacks. We had the swaddleme ones but I think there’s a lot more options now, and anything with a zipper and Velcro will be clutch -Hakaa- don’t waste the leakage! Small amounts add up quickly! -ComoTomo bottles- every baby is different so YMMV but I really loved how easy these were to clean since they have a wide neck. This laundry soap: https://www.amazon.com/Grab-Green-Enzyme-Powered-Mineral-Based-Chamomile/dp/B07BQNWZPQ/ref=mp_s_a_1_36?dchild=1&keywords=baby+laundry+detergent&qid=1604002635&sprefix=baby+laundry+&sr=8-36 I love the smell, but it isn’t super strong and I just love having a smell associated with the baby.
Things we didn’t use or love: - the mamaroo. We borrowed one from a friend, and I’m so glad we didn’t buy it because honestly he preferred the cheapo $25 basic swing by a wide margin - you CAN have too many swaddle blankets. The number is high, but I think we exceeded it. 10 is probably more than enough!
I’m so sorry to hear about your loss 😔 i can really recommend this book that helped me through the grieving process following my own miscarriage:

Look after yourself x
Great topic! Every pregnancy is different so the symptoms can very a LOT.
For me I had 2 really painful issues in the second half of pregnancy. I got carpal tunnel that was so bad I couldnt wipe without a cry of pain. It's starting to get achy now at week 10, yaay. BUT, its from the relaxin hormone (that mothfucker can go to hell) messing with tendons. So as soon as my baby was out- within HOURS, pain=gone.
I also go SPD (spmphysis pubis dysfunction). Which caused so much pain when moving, walking, sleeping, sitting. God it was so awful, sleeping was rediculus. its a lot of pain in the pubic bone an radiates out to the inner thighs (for me). My pubic bone would pop like a joint any time i tried to lift a leg or turn. Again- caused by relaxin. And also, completely gone a day after birthing.
Pillows like this are AMMAZING!

I could only tolerate these when I was pregnant with my son. They have some padding that you can keep in that does a little bit of shaping, or it can come out. Soft and comfy and still supportive enough for my bigger boobs.
I can’t stand most nursing bras so I don’t recommend buying those early like some people do. The clasps annoy the hell out of me, especially with sensitive pregnancy skin.
Last pregnancy when I was about 20 weeks, I bought some nursing bras of this style (it's showing those as being out of stock, but you can see from the picture what kind it is, and there are a ton of similar ones from different brands. Although I have bought from a different brand and they didn't hold up as well, so I guess it can matter a bit).
I figured, they're pretty cheap, so if they don't end up working oh well. But I've ended up buying more similar bras and am still wearing them, and still nursing! If you are planning to try nursing, it's useful to have real nursing clothes. I think my size changed quite a bit when my milk came in, and even just like throughout the day depending on how long it had been since nursing, but I think there's a lot of wiggle room. They are comfortable to sleep in too, which is good because you leak a lot at night when you're nursing so I no longer sleep in just a light camisole. And they have built in absorbent padding, so you don't have to buy other nursing pads. The one real drawback is these are probably not super supportive. I don't now if that will like, make things saggy later, but tbh if things are saggy later I would probably just assume it's from nursing for so long 🤷♀️
I bought these around 12 weeks pregnant and pretty much have only worn nursing bras since then. That was almost 3 years ago. My kid nursed for over 2 years anyway, plus we're in a pandemic now so I haven't been trying to wear nicer clothes that would require a nicer bra for almost a year. I bought my regular size. My breast size changed a lot, but my band size didn't, so they still fit.
This kind was decent for a more structured bra.
Expensive sour candies. The sour does a good job of taking nausea off my brain! They also have essential oils but IMO those are probably... placebo. I would just grab a few bags of sour hard candy but its suprisingly hard to find at the stores near me.

What a frustrating situation. I’m so sorry you have to deal with this. I just finished a couple of books that helped me and my husband work through some of these challenges. They are
• How Not to Hate Your Husband After Kids
Both have good tips on recognizing and redividing labor, talking it out when emotions run high, and keeping the habit.
I have this one and its very comfortable to me. It’s not listed as a maternity bra, but the straps have clasps in the front so it can definitely be used as one. For reference I’m a 30 D/32 C and wear a medium.
ETA you might also post this in the PM chat that just went up if you want more responses as most people will be over there now.
I haven't had any nausea so far! At times I feel a little queasy, but I'm never sure if it's because I'm hungry or just in general not feeling great. I did buy some organic ginger beer in case it hits though!
This is the bone broth concentrate I use: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0749H8QFD/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_I-GRFbBF1PQXB
The original flavor is my favorite, it reminds me of a nice ramen broth. I also have tried the Italian seasoning one which is nice, but I prefer the original so far. I have an unopened garlic and herb one I haven't tried yet, but so far they're all quite delicious!
I cried like a toddler kicking and screaming in my bed today. I was having a lot of anxiety about ‘feeling better’. This is the kind of anxiety only pregnant women in their first trimester can understand I think. This article helped me a bit: https://www.headspace.com/blog/2017/12/18/enjoy-your-first-trimester/
I’m trying to stay sane until my next scan, but with my work being so demanding and the Covid precautions leaving very little choice for distractions I’m having a hard time. I can feel my mental strength waning under stress. Just wanted to share for anyone else feeling similar.
If anyone wants some fancy/nice graphic with a photo and/or text, then you can use canva.com for free! It also sizes the images for either instagram, facebook, etc. You can also have birth announcements/postcards printed out and sent to you so you can share with family the old fashioned way.
Just FYI!
(HyperBiotics Pro Mom)[PRO-Moms: Prenatal Probiotics for Pregnant and Nursing Women—Recommended with Prenatal Vitamins—6 Targeted Strains—15x More Survivability—For Mom and Baby—Helps Produce Folate https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00QA0A84C/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_vOO7Fb71AZDXF]. I actually alternate daily between their Pro Moms variety and their Women’s variety, but that’s because I’m UTI prone and need to avoid them at all costs during pregnancy (i have cervical insufficiency and a UTI could trigger premature labor for me).
I've been wearing these since week 5 or 6. They give my extremely tender boobs all the support they need. For reference I'm size 36F normally and most of my old nursing bras are size 36G so they're definitely on the heavier side and this is my support of choice, not too much. I'll need more support after birth and the first few months of nursing, but guessing these could be perfect again later on when baby is bigger. Amazon link
I just responded to a comment above but I’ll post it here as well! I’m a 30A usually and found this awesome bra (pre-pregnancy) and have been LOVING it even at 10.5 weeks when I want some small boob support instead of nothing (it’s not a nursing bra FYI):
I got a 3 pack of nursing bras a couple weeks ago, they may not be very stylish BUT my boobs are so much more well supported that they actually look way better. I've been living in them since they arrived. I may not ever go back 😅 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LW1W1G6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_qOa5Fb88D51F7?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
This is my favorite. It’s not specifically a nursing bra, but it does have front clips so that it can be used that way, and it’s Wirefree and comfy but still supportive and has some shape.
For reference, I am a size 30D/32C and wear a size Medium
Hi! A cup here and small band as well; I’m a 28 or 30 depending on brand. When sports bras have felt too constricting and I don’t want to go braless, I bought this Natori wireless bra at the start of quarantine and it has been SO FABULOUS. I now wash it weekly due to wearing to so much! It’s even accommodated my slightly fuller cup size during the first 1/4 of this pregnancy. Definitely won’t be suitable for nursing but I most likely will buy another one prior to the end of the pregnancy. So soft and comfortable! On the expensive side but Amazon is significantly cheaper than Nordstrom, also goes on sale at Nordstrom now and then.
Good to know some people don’t like clip-down bras. I’ve got Hofish nursing bras on Amazon in my cart for later and may rethink that!
I have not given my pregnancy pillow up since my first pregnancy back in 2017.
Hubby got annoyed but I just explained we needed to size up from a Queen to a king CAUSE I WASNT LETTING THIS BAD BOY GO. EVER. 10/10 do recommend.
Thank me later :P

I have this one . I’m 5’8” though so I don’t have that problem! It is a very big thing to have in bed. We have a king so it’s fine for us!
Before starting fertility treatments, I was a 36C. Then I did a round of Provera and Letrezole and HAD to move up to a 36D. (I was falling out of my cups and was in constant pain when I moved because they were so tender.) Around 4 weeks, began falling out of my cups again and being in pain whenever I walked anywhere due to tenderness. I ended up going with a maternity bra at the suggestion of my mom, because I was in need of support. I’m currently wearing a 36D/DD in these underwire maternity bras from Kohl’s, but will probably be looking for another brand in order to go up to a E/F by the new year, as I’m already filling these cups more each day.
I’m sticking with underwire for now because I like the amount of structure and support those bras offer. Comfortable bras are great, but don’t always look nice underneath my work clothes.
Of course! Copying and pasting from another reply:
YeS! I researched a good bit before choosing this one. It was also recommended by the wire cutter who I trust for all their recommendations! I have this one, which I really like, and I think could pchairass in a living room. Note that it was way cheaper when I bought it and also available through wayfair, I think this listing is just messed up:
Chicco Keyfit 30 carseats are on sale for $150, $50 off normal price. We had these with our twins and they are great carseats, very easy to get in and out of the car
The Wonderfold w4 wagon in orange is $170 off right now at $429, which is the lowest price it’s ever been. If you’ll have 2-4 kids that will need to at least occasionally be in a stroller, this seems like a good option
For anyone who will be adding burp cloths to your registry, these "cloth diapers" make THE BEST burp cloths. Seriously. We own so many of them and still use them for clean up and messes with our 2.5 year old. We were gifted so many other fancy designed ones and they just don't compare/absorb like these do. I love gifting these because so many people just don't know until they try them!
I have this one and like it. I used it for my last pregnancy and now I’m adding stuff to it for this one as well. I prefer a structured, QA style though, so if you want something more flexible and freeflowing you’d probably be better off with a blank journal, and you could probably find some question suggestions online to get you going.
Must haves (Play)
Kick n play piano mat - I tried getting one of these and one play mat that was more aesthetically pleasing, but my babies fought over this one so much we ended up buying a second. They love it. It fits in pack n plays which is great for travel or baby containment, and you can adjust it to use for multiple development stages.

Quilts - Don't have a link for this, but get some heavy quilted blankets to put under your baby. They will protect your carpet from spit up.

THINGS I NEVER USED:

Keekaroo peanut changer - I know, its highly recommended. But I have one and I never use it. I always just change my kids on the floor. I use a fold up changing pad that I pull out and use when its time for a change and thats it. Same goes for changing table.

Infant bath tub - I found it easier to get into the tub and bathe my babies while holding them. Now that they're bigger they use a bath seat.
Haha I totally get that!! Here’s some similar alternatives:
There’s this one by skiphop

And this one by bumbo
Bumbo Changing Pad, Aqua https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N6KIRF6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_8h1MFbXS2KX0C
I’d probably go with the bumbo if I didn’t have the keekaroo, cute color options!!!

Here is a link! They are so heavy duty. Reviewers on amazon said this box lasted a year or more (I believe it).
Haha I have diet Dr Pepper in my fridge right now >.>
I feel like I can sub caffeine-free diet root beer for diet Dr.Pepper okay... Except that the pandemic has randomly made it really hard to find diet root beer lately!
But for iced tea, I went down a google rabbit hole. I found a 0 calorie, caffeine-free japanese iced tea that's made from barley and other grains and botanicals but then I was trying to figure out if THAT was safe? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08BBXTWDK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_5C.LFbE80FHR7 And there's conflicting info everywhere!
