They're available for pre-order on Amazon right now, and yes, the Story Pack is $50.
LEGO Dimensions, New Ghostbusters Story Pack https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GPB677W/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_HvxwxbTAZMJ0D
It looks like they come that way. They were sold out on Target's website but I found this one on Amazon. I think it's the same thing and they just removed the base/stone part. It might even be designed to come off, so you can adjust it for table top vs. wall.
The LDTagEditor app does everything for you. Make sure you have the latest version (Wave 9). Then all you need is a supported Android phone and some blank NFC213 labels.
It WILL NOT overwrite official Lego Dimensions toy tags, you have to buy some blank generic ones.
Here's an Amazon link to the ones I used that worked fine for both characters and vehicles: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07P9G1GK4/
For the Adventure Time Level Pack- the more people who submit the lower price to them, the great the chance there is of it being lowered to match.
To submit the lower price, scroll about halfway down to the "Product Information" section. There is a subheading for "Feedback", and under that is a link "tell us about a lower price." Click that and submit the Target link and pricing info.
To make it easy, here's the Amazon link: https://www.amazon.com/Ghostbusters-Story-Pack-Not-Machine-Specific/dp/B01GPB677W/

I am extremely jelly you have not only one, but two of the official storage containers.
Mine are just in two regular Target tupperware containers. 😞
I'm thinking of upgrading to something like this, though...
Here you go - https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B002KHLRTE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_YZ2Q19N1TX8EYGZZG9JY
I bought 2 of them as I've got other sets which I haven't built yet but they're stackable as well and clip together. Really cool and relatively cheap
Yes everyone. the book case is from Ikea, billy or is it billie, series. the shelves are from amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000KG05VI/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_image?ie=UTF8&psc=1
As you can see it's also how I store my Disney infinity chars (missing one), and not pictured is my full book case of amiibo (all of them) on same set up. I do really like the spice racks.
So I found this at Walmart and bought 1, then got more from Amazon and Toolbarn.
STANLEY STST14022 SortMaster Junior Organizer
Amazon Link: $8.79 includes Prime.
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0052EEND4/
It's actually gone down in price since I've bought mine.
I have all the LEGO Dimension waves. All the characters fit in 1 case plus a couple vehicles/accessory. Then the other vehicles/accessory go into 2 more cases. There's room to spare for Wave 4 and 5. The cases clip on to each other and you can keep stacking them to keep them together.
Pictures here: https://imgur.com/a/ulVsO
Stanley makes different sizes of these cases but I found these ones are the best one since it fits most character's height. (some with tall weapons you have to fold down).
Yes, you can preorder it for that price at Target.com right now. http://www.target.com/p/lego-dimensions-new-ghostbusters-story-pack/-/A-51296804
Amazon may also match- just have to wait and see. If you want to help the process along, go to the Amazon page for the product https://www.amazon.com/Ghostbusters-Story-Pack-Not-Machine-Specific/dp/B01GPB677W/ and scroll about halfway down to the "Product Information" section. There is a subheading for "Feedback", and under that is a link "tell us about a lower price." Click that and submit the Target link and pricing info. No guarantees that they will drop to match, but I've seen them do it many times.
Just FYI, your links are for the Ghostbusters Story Pack which is already discounted on amazon. Here are the links for the Adventure Time Level Pack which is still not discounted:

Okay, it's not under $50, but here's what you do:
Buy a cheap PS3, XB360 or Wii U starter pack (~$20). Throw out the game disc and portal... figuratively or literally, your choice. This gets you all the Lego bricks, minifigs and toy tags, which are not console or region specific.
Buy the Xbox One game disc from GameStop (~$5).
Buy an Xbox One portal off Amazon ($43) -- https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07NCZRRRR/
I bought mine on amazon, not sure where you are located but they are $43USD there.
Here s a link:

Below is the link I used as a U.S.A. local. I tried a couple of others from Amazon that are NTAG213 with 144 Bytes Memory. Android NFC reader confirms that this is correct, but they still didn't work. These colorful yet slightly more expensive ones from NCTAGIFY worked, which was a relief because I tried the app across four different Android phones of various makers and OS versions and never did the app recognize the tags. I thought the app was broken. I had already bought the coin-cases and 1" circle die-cut, so I already had a small investment in this effort. Figured $12-ish (U.S.) dollars would be a small additional price for the effort. It paid off in that IT WORKS! Special thanks to u/Portal2player58 and their post for the tags suggestion. Now if I can find a larger order of them than just the 14 count pack, in the hopes of getting a slight price break... The adventure continues!

Do you mean the NFC tags that you can program yourself? I bought some on Amazon recently that worked great with ldtageditor.
OBO HANDS NTAG213 NFC TAG NFC... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075R76588?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
That's them, and they're in stock. I think I had one bad one out of the twenty or so that I used.
Be careful with these. If you put them in the center bay when the game is trying to write a vehicle tag, it seems to brick the trag (make it unusable.)
I just had this same issue. Bought some NFC tags from Amazon that scanned as "NXP - Mifare Ultralight" in NFC Tools, just like you are getting. LDTagEditor would not respond to these tags at all and I thought it might be my phone.
I ended up returning the original tags and bought a different set of tags (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07P9F47BS) that scanned as "NXP - NTAG213" in NFC Tools. When I scanned these in LDTagEditor, the app functioned appropriately and I was able to select an ID and write the tags without issue.
Hope this helps.
I have tried these two options:

Lol. Green Arrow cost $30 and it came sealed in the original polybag and inside of another protector polybag. So rather than him rip it open I explained the best I could to a 10 year old to just leave it in the bag so that when he's older and wants to sell this stuff it might have more value. The nfc tag still works in the bag if he places it on the portal anyway. The shelves are these Nail Polish Racks from Amazon.
I have not used those and cannot confirm their viability, but they should be covered by Amazon's return policy if they don't work at all.
The ones I used most recently are here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07P696NW5
There were 6 duds out of the 100 total, which is close to the acceptable 1/20 failure rate, so I'm fairly satisfied.

Skylanders can be emulated easily with RPCS3 (PS3 emulator) including native support for portal emulation, just start the game, go to "Manage" -> "Skylanders Portal": https://rpcs3.net/
As of this moment in time, you can get it running on ps4 for about $30 depending on how cheap you can find the used ps4 disc.
Yes to all of your questions.
Also, these are the tags that I bought. What should I do?
It's also possible that the tags you got on eBay might be a different standard, like NFC215 (the kind used by amiibos) rather than NFC213.
I updated my previous message with the tags I used, but here they are again for convenience: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07P9G1GK4/
Humanity has not yet reached a point where we can psychically pry things apart, but you can physically do it with a tiny screwdriver. 😉
The chip that comes preinstalled is not sticky. There is no adhesive on it at all, it just sits inside the toy tag.
You can buy a super tiny screwdriver at any department or home improvement store (Walmart, Target, Lowes, Home Depot, etc). Or just online. I'm in IT so I keep small tools to work on laptops and what-not, and the one I used to open my toy tag was basically the same as the smallest flathead in this kit here:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08BC279BB/
As for the how, if you look at the underside of the toy tag, there are a couple little spots with a small groove. Just jam the flat part of a tiny screwdriver up and wrench it down which should separate about 1/4 to 1/3 of the inner piece... then find another groove and do the same thing, and it should all come apart at that point.
Once it's open, you can take the existing chip out and substitute a blank one (I sent you some info in your last thread about what worked for me) and write and re-write on it as needed. The new chip I used is sticky, so I just stuck it to the inner base before putting it back together.
(Make sure you test that the new chip is working on your game before you reassemble, as taking it apart too many times can damage the plastic.)
Should work with any standard NFC213 chip that started out blank that you can buy online. The official Lego Dimensions toy tags are write protected and cannot be erased or overwritten.
These are the ones I've used in my testing and can confirm are working, but any blank NFC213 chips with a 25mm (1 inch) measurement should work.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07P9G1GK4
(You can find much bigger rolls of 100+ chips for like $20. I just wanted a small amount to test with.)
Anything larger than that 25mm/1 inch measurement will be too large to fit inside an official toy tag or container of similar size (like a collectible coin case), and thus will be unable to use the top circle port of the toy pad.
Hi, yeah of course, I ordered this one and it is great!! amazon
It's a third party retailer, but it's cheaper then original retail price.
Not OP, but I've had this one saved in my Amazon wishlist for some time. Just waiting to get moved into my new house before buying. https://www.amazon.com/Minifigures-Miniature-Figures-Display-Cabinet/dp/B00PV1D8SY/ref=sr_1_134?dchild=1&keywords=shot%2Bglass%2Bdisplay&qid=1589047472&sr=8-134&th=1
Yeah, I imagine they would look a little like this
Could this be a hint of a final patch for the game?
I'm doing fine with one of these:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01HNEXVLK/
You will also want a "Y" cable to give the drive power from two USB ports. Here's the one I got:
Stand? Nah, I've got all of Waves 1-7 packed across four of these babies. It's convenient for storage, and it makes the toys a lot easier to carry from place to place, which is starting to happen with some level of frequency. I just barely managed to fit every figure and vehicle I would need to use any ability and access any level or world into a single box, and set the other three to the side. Hopefully there'll be enough room left for a few Wave 7.5 characters when that rolls around.
This is what you want. It's just tall enough for figures to stand upright inside; removable dividers make it easy to fit any vehicle; and if your collection requires more than one container, they clip together.
Someone here had recommended them a while back, but I can't seem to find the link...
I've got two and I love them.
Amazon.com (US Site) has started their sales on Lego Dimensions. I just pickup the Fantastic Beasts Story Pack for $29.99
Also it looks like and Level, Team, Fun back that have in stock is on some kind of sale. I pickup the Gremlins Team Pack and MI Level pack for $14.99 each.
I can recommend a hard drive for you. The problem with wii u is that is does not provide enough power a hard drive that is just USB. it needs to have an external power adapter. Here is the one that I have, and it so far works really well! I got the 2TB one because it was just slightly more expensive than the 1TB. Anyways, this one will work. All you have to do is plug it in, format it, and then you are on your way!
Sorry, actually only $80 for a starter set I don't use. (I'm on Xbox.)
?
LEGO usually keeps their products running for 2 to 3 years when it comes to sets, why would Dimensions be any different? The Ecto-1, for example, came out in June 2014, over 2 years ago, and is still available now. LEGO would not stop production after a year, especially not with figures as rare and exclusive as these.
This was such a fantastic idea, thanks for the tip. I searched for a UK alternative to this, the closest I could find was this one: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B016WODUSG/
It's arrived today and works great. The only difference is that the plastic at the sides is more of a semi-opaque cloudy colour than fully transparent as in the US site version.
I've uploaded some photos to Imgur showing what it looks like with 21 minifigs and 24 vehicles/accessories displayed, both spread out nicely and pushed together to show all the free space. Note the semi-opaque sides: http://imgur.com/a/2w5nc
I'm not sure if it's because of Prime Day or the film's release, but the pre-order for the Ghostbusters Story pack is down to $42.49.
I tried one of those, before I got frustrated by characters like Gandalf and the Jurassic World guy who don't fit "normally". Now I use a larger Artbin 9007AB for the vehicles, and display cases specifically for minifigures to hold said figures.
I'm tempted to buy a whole bunch of them so I can have an army of Cybermen and Daleks because they're <em>super</em> cheap on Amazon right now!
I already bought a second Fun Pack because the price went down so far before release...
EDIT: *$6.75
Cyberman Fun Pack is 6.39
I purchase two storage containers off of Amazon that have worked great. I haven't taken pictures of mine yet but if you check out the comments on the Amazon link, someone else posted their pieces in these boxes. They work nicely because they are extra deep and can fit almost all of the characters in a standing position. Amazon link
It looks like Amazon also has $19.99 Level Packs and $14.99 Team Packs at the moment.
It's because a lot of them are out of stock. That $15 price is from third-party sellers.
Prime members are still able to get them 50% off, despite them being out of stock though, it seems. For example, look at Emmet's page. It says $15, but if you click "other sellers on Amazon" or the "24 new for $7.49," you can see the Amazon price for $7.49, but it's tagged with "Exclusively for Prime Members."
I Vote for my egg carton solution of storing my minifigs. It was very cheap and it even came with a dozen eggs.
The http://www.amazon.co.uk/LEGO-L4080BL-Dimensions-Gaming-Capsule/dp/B011624Q4Q doesn't even come with breakfast options.
We have been using this. Characters fit on top, vehicles fit in bottom.
Not sure how much will fit once the wave of xmas gifts come in, but it's working for the couple things we have now with plenty of room to spare.
I just got one of these 3rd party hard drives and it seems to work great. Did disc installs for all my games and they run fine off it. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008FHL56S/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_Rq3lwbH1YQWX1
the Jay one? I can just order it on Amazon..
Just download the app on the s5 and it has a read tag option, I had to do it a few times before it worked properly again on the portal. App is https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wakdev.wdnfc
