Jk, here's the one line summary from Wikipedia:
The story follows an orphaned young girl, Riko, who finds and befriends a humanoid robot Reg and descends with it into the titular "Abyss", that leads deep into the Earth, in hopes of finding her mother. If you have Amazon Prime, you can watch it here free of additional charge!
Does this very off shoot comment by Nanachi give us a time frame of when the 3 Sages arrived? Chapter 28, Page 14
About ~1,000 years ago?
Thank you for the compliment!
There are also some works Tsukushi did before Made In Abyss came into being. One example is From Star Strings (スターストリングスより), a 2012 one-shot pixiv manga about a main character living in a world devoid of life while trying to find meaning to her own existence. There is an English-translated version available here.
The Q&A session you mentioned sounds interesting! Looking forward to hearing more about it!
In my opinion, we got a bunch of hints from this chapter.
First of all: the 6000, 4000 and 2000-year-old corpses found in the first layer, could indicate that the indigenous people found by the group could be living there all that time. We can see their tree houses in the first episode of the anime, when riko starts hunting the relics on the petrified trees.
They also stated that those people where really afraid of sharing information, because they got terrorized before... thus far, those 4-people, found on the boat (with the compass), were there for the same reason. Maybe they were sent back after getting punished?
Also, "petrified trees" could have a relation to the 2000 years phenomena. Even the relics looked petrified. everything, including the people, could be affected by a large change in the environment.
There is also the compass. First, we see that it points up, to show the location of the abyss. But riko always said that it was pointing down. to the "real bottom"... and, if we consider this image https://mangadex.org/data/06d254e1798e030f549f998070fd729c/x5.png , the pointer is the upper arrow. That would be the north inside the abyss. So, maybe, it was used by the indigenous, as a tool to navigate inside the crater. as it gets balanced by the north pole of the planet.
I got it from the Swedish store SF-bokhandeln, it releases internationally tomorrow on Amazon and probably physical bookstores as well.
While it may not be pretty, I put some thoughts into symbolism: * The flag is vertical symbolizing the Abyss. * The background of the flag is three disproportionate stripes. From the bottom up: 1. The black stripe is 7/9 of the height of the flag tall; it's completely black, which symbolizes the unforgiving and unexplored Abyss. 2. Next is the golden stripe, it's 1/9 of the height of the flag tall; the colour symbolizes all the riches the Abyss has brought the city of Orth. 3. Finally, the red stripe, also 1/9 tall; the colour symbolizes the blood of the fallen Abyss delvers. * Now there are two ornaments: the white whistle and the pickaxe. * The white whistle represents the whiste whistles (duh). Its vertical centre is located at 5/7 the height of the black stripe. Its height is 2/7 of the black stripe. This means that the whistle with its height fully covers the 5th and 6th seventh of the black stripe. This is meant to say the whistles live on the 5th and 6th layer, that they are living at the forefront of the abyss. * The pickaxe represets all other delvers; it's located at the border between the golden and black stripe. The location is supposed to imply that even if the majority of delvers won't achieve greatness, their routine work is bringing a great lot of resoureces to the city. The pickaxe's colour is red, reminding of the ardor of the routine delver and their braveness of facing virtually unavoidable death in the Abyss.
Now if it only looked better.

I imagine it has to do something with him saying "Emotions...Scenery....and thoughts all came rushing in" like since Reg is technically a relic, this is his super secret white whistle ability. Being able to kinda telepathically communicate with the person who called him.
I don't think it's a crack. It doesn't show up in another frames? but, it did seem to turn white and is fading back to gray? im probably wrong. The ring around his cape turns white and fades to grey too.
Probably. Actually its not quite the post theme… I checked the manga on amazon (de) and its 16-17+ link to german amazon
When "eating up" the electricity and charging up at Idofront, Reg lost control of himself, and his "old version", the Reg that met Lyza, that Reg that went to L1, that Reg that lost memories once getting electrocuted by Riko, took control - thats one of the reasons why his fighting capabilities suddenly went up. (Later on, he talks about it on this and later page, that "someone else made me remember how o use this body", with one of Regs eyes negativing once again) here
With patience. If you like to read manga, buy an ebook, they are very cheap and the reading experience is incomparable.
Now, if you want an app for ios or whatever, when i still read con movile i used Perfect Viewer on android, so check this: https://alternativeto.net/software/perfect-viewer/?platform=iphone
oh well, anyway, a physical english version of the manga doesnt exist yet, Seven Seas Entertainment is working on it and itll be released on the 2nd of january.
you can get it here https://www.amazon.com/Made-Abyss-Vol-Akihito-Tukushi/dp/1626927731/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1506763668&sr=8-2&keywords=Made+In+Abyss
you can feel safe buying it through amazon, its guaranteed and cheap
The easiest and cheapest way is through Amazon Japan (they ship internationally and also don't charge you until the item releases October 25). Comes in a box illustrated by Tsukushi, with 2 mini art books and some end cards :) Contains episodes 1-7. Here's a link to the second box that contains episodes 8-13 (release date is December 22)

Another in stock amazon link through book depository
It is on amazon UK maybe you can have it shipped over
That's a strange link... seems to be something cooked up by Amazon. Better use the individual products.
Box 2 (with pot Mitty): 19,589 Yen
Still 34,889 Yen together (255 USD), note that Mitty comes with Box 2. Yeah, Japanese BDs are expensive... I also wish that some plushies can just be bought separately, but in my case I'm buying the boxes regardless to support the brand.
Google won't translate the page for me but it seems the box set goes for ~$325 (45,100 yen) ?! o_o
This is the one i bought
I checked it out again and it does seem a legit copy, and the spelling error which i claimed actually isn't. Re reading it it does make sense. It still looks incredibly cheap though tbh just makes me glad i don't really buy physical media much anymore (obviously MiA is an exception)

Knowing Amazon, I guess they deliver it overseas too.
I assume you’re referring to the vinyl wall displays? Well here’s the Amazon link https://www.amazon.com/Music-Album-Frame-Hardware-Installed/dp/B06Y19B89Z/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?keywords=album+frames&qid=1653020387&sr=8-3

I've not seen it mentioned here before, but is it plausible that the crystal covered city on the sixth layer is what remains of the Golden City? Given the time dilation, if the Golden City did exist would those outside the Abyss still see the shimmer of what it was thousands of years ago? I think one of the biggest foreshadowings of this being the case could be this page https://mangadex.org/chapter/451452/12. As perhaps the sages discovered the city to be long gone and instead of diving deeper (for whatever reason) decided to build their own 'Golden City' in the form of Ilblu. Perhaps it would explain the philosophy of value discussed in this chapter and centred around Ilblu, as a Golden City would be generally considered by most to be of exceptional value, but here we find that value is something far less well defined and down to the eye of the beholder?
I dont have much experience with dnd, so I dont really have any numbers or maps to help you, but I've been working on some designs for creatures, heres my profile link, just ignore the posts and go right to the wiki entries section. Ignore the characters in the wiki entry section too, theres a bunch of creatures that could probably spice up the game. They're for a fanfic I wanna write that takes place after MIA, so there are some migratory creatures in there, but you could probably just ignore the migratory part for those. I should probably try and make a map of orth or something, it'd be helpful for everyone probably.
I was watching a certain someone's winter update video dealing with stuff, such as creating a space for certain someone's community to flourish. A fan created a subreddit for said person, and the said person replied, "Does that mean I'll have a Snoo?" And then it hit me: r/MadeInAbyss doesn't have a Snoo. There ain't no proper subreddit without a Snoo. (Yes, I know that there actually are.) So I've fixed that problem, or at least tried to. Welcome Delver Snoo. He's (she's?) delving through the layers of the internet to bring you the best MiA content to enjoy, or shitposts; one or the other.

We recommend mangadex for previous and future chapter releases. For instant updates on new releases we also recommend checking out the Discord server.
Noooooo she lost the twins (still bad-ass-ly cute though!) - but GO RIKOOO! Freakin' cliffhanger!
But whooo, next Chapter is already coming on May 20!? Das GUD!
Your post has been removed for the following reason: > Low Quality Post
We have a recent chapter thread that has a link to the newest chapter and the group that scanlates them. You can find the group and the rest of their scans here.
Not all actually. See Makoto Yukawa -> Iwata Ryuuto. Maybe in future more children will be acted by children.
Title; made in abyss - Nanachi and Mitty
Author; CORO
I know an artist who works only with his mouse and MS Paint. Here is a taste of what he can make with it.
If you want to get into digital painting you don't even need to buy a drawing tablet, a lot of people draw only with their mouse, but if you want one the Wacom Bamboo is pretty good.
As for Software, Paint Tool SAI is pretty popular, but I would recommend Krita, as it's free.
You can stream all 3 movies of Made In Abyss at this site now: https://www.hidive.com/movies/made-in-abyss-dawn-of-the-deep-soul
Or you can buy them on blu-ray here. https://www.amazon.com/Made-In-Abyss-Blu-ray/dp/B098CYYH39/
Ototo (the Made in Abyss french publisher) released the artbooks. You can purchase it on Amazon: https://www.amazon.fr/Made-Abyss-Trio-dArtbooks-Backgrounds/dp/2377173403/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=made+in+abyss+triple+artbook&qid=1608104977&sprefix=made+in+abyss+tri&sr=8-1
Obviously, it will be in french inside (I don't know if there's a lot of text but I remember that there's an interview of Tsukushi)
why is nanachi so expensive!?!?
amazon link for the figurine
You can buy it off British Amazon (they also sell a cheaper standard edition), but since you are buying all your books in French, you might want to get the French Blu-ray, if it exists.
I'm p sure I saw it at an anime store at my local mall Here's an amazon link for it
Well yes, but actually no, because something like this may not be good for everyone, since:
- Some may need English subtitles, because they can't speak Japanese, but those don't seem to be included on this disk
- It doesn't actually ship to my location, even if I could understand it
So buying the version right from Japan may not always be possible for everyone, which is why I really hope they make a dedicated version for their western audience
Amazon says, the next volume is due July 27th, so in theory the chapter should be finished before that date, since Tsukushi has to work for extra pages and the cover as well and of course the volume has to be typeset and printed:
https://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/product/480197029X
However, I couldn't find anything official, so take it with a grain of salt.
The copy on Amazon UK has the cover for the German translation on it.
German publisher.
Amazon.
I'm thinking that you can't buy the English translation yet
https://www.amazon.com/Made-Abyss-Vol-Akihito-Tsukushi/dp/1626927731
Or, like, google "made in abyss manga" and find it, if you're about that sort of thing.
there IS actually a mobile game that reference "Made In abyss" However it's all japanese there I really don't know what the game is saying.
The game is about you hiring people to go into the abyss for exploration and searching the relics.
Here is the link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=hm.orz.kokoromati.BungyJumpIntoAbyss
Which is an import.
https://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/product/B073QWKGNS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Which is also an import but from Amazon Japan.
Total price either way is about $36-$40.
The first 3 volumes are up for preorder on Amazon (US & UK at least) :)
It is safe to say you cannot make a 3D MMO-RPG by yourself. Even if you had 1 or 2 people to help, it's virtually impossible.
I recommend working in Unity and trying to create this game: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=hm.orz.kokoromati.BungyJumpIntoAbyss but in English
Follow the same gameplay and format and just translate the text and make your own modifications. This will be a great learning experience for you and you don't have to worry so much about the details, you can just start coding ASAP.
