hi. idk if this will help but you might wanna read The Anatomy of Anxiety. it’s written by a psychiatrist and although she did not touch so much as to how severe the approaches done by professionals differ, it might give you a better light in internalizing na finding the right ones can be quite hard.

I was prescribed Lexapro (escitalopram) for depression. Same that my doctor in Canada prescribed. He also added Abilify (aripirazole) , then evetually was changed to abilify and cymbalta(duloxetine). I think because eventually naging walang effect sakin uung lexapro. I was also prescribed Rivotril(clonazepam) but only as a take as needed basis when i cant sleep due to anxiety. He gave me rin a doctors note to apply for PWD since meds and consultation are expensive. He also recommended a psychologist for added therapy. The psychologist he referred didn't work out for me I didnt feel heard during sessions. Instead I went to Dr. Melodee Rojas sa Asian, I was comfortable with her but one session lang because I found it was too expensive na rin to add a psychologist and at that time I was getting better already with the meds. I was 6 years with meds, eventually it was stopped last year and I am symptom free since then. Sessions with Dr. Della are 30 mins to an hour depends on what is needed. Also would help if you have a support group. I couldnt tell my family I self harmed. I was worried it would scare them. Also I was ashamed. But i have a friend i confided with who i know wont judge. It would tell him whenever it is getting worse. My thinking is someone at least one must know, in case it gets dangerous so he can sound the alarm and call for help when needed.
