I've gotten pretty close to an anarchist type society. It's a left wing utopia, and I've gotten rid of the police and military. A long time ago I also was able to essentially hand the means of production over to the workers, though it still says that the government controls all the industry and funds healthcare, education, environmental stuff etc. The way I look at it the "government" is just the people at this point. Otherwise there are pretty much no classes, with the richest only making like 2,000 dollars more per year than the poorest. The economy is "Weak" but everyone is healthy and crime is low even without police.
I think that's just about as close as you can get. You gotta realize this game is called "NationStates". An anarchist state is kind of an oxymoron, and no matter what you do, you the player are essentially a sort of dictator that makes all the decisions.
I don't know if you can actually look at it, but this is my nation if you wanna take a look.
Some first impressions.
Cheers, Orioni
Possibly because of this dispatch? https://www.nationstates.net/page=dispatch/id=1549850
It’s yours and you linked it on the TNP rmb less than a day ago and said in the post that you “literally made a trash story about a Costelian struggling to find peace through broken humour and other trash.”
I can’t say for sure but the dispatch was deleted so I’m wondering if something in there was the reason.
Predator was a script that some (many?) raiders used to bypass non-API requests to get legally impossible update times for regions which they would use to invade other regions. This led to the demoralisation and eventual crumbling of the defender side of the meta-game since it was impossible for them to keep up, and therefore the whole Gameplay meta itself.
Here's a good post about it: https://www.nationstates.net/page=dispatch/id=594930
The rules for non-API requests are that you can't send more than 10 requests every minute, but Predator was sending more than 1 every second giving them amazing precision on update times. This script was also purposefully masked (it had no user agent indentifier [whatever that is]), which made it difficult for the moderators to understand exactly what the script was doing. There's some other dodgy stuff to bypass rules that it did too--you can read up on that yourself. Also, Predator was being run from a delete-on-site player's (Halcones) server.
I don't really care about the citizens rights/political freedoms, as I enjoy running an oppressive nation, so right now I'm focusing on the economy, while trying to keep a socialist mindset. I myself am not a socialist, but I'm trying my best to run a USSR-styled, right-wing country, just for the hell of it (even if I look like a complete idiot with no knowledge of politics).
Environment is shit, aiming to be as patriotic as possible, and always keeping faithful to <insert religion here>. Oh, and war, too. Who doesn't like war?
It is down for everyone and, as stated by Violet, the gameside server is/was under a DoS attack.
I absolutely love the detail of it! How did you go about making it? Also, if you are interested in expanding your nations factbook page, I highly recommend looking at this NS tag list, as it certainly helped me:
Might be a bit late to this post, but for me I like organizing my factbooks so that its easier to navigate, though obviously not every one prefers it that way. Here’s mine if you wanna look into it though- https://www.nationstates.net/valehart
For the maximum amount of fun you should join a region. And... cough If you have yet to join a region... cough I have heard that there are a bunch of cool guys and girls with an open, new player friendly community, off-site forums and a Discord server over at Europa.
Region Name): The Alterran Republic
r/D*/RP/Other*: RP based region, Magic tech, fantasy species and races, fantasy map, or you can play as humans.
Number of Active Players (not including puppets, if possible to measure): 40 active role-players, around 100 active, in total.
A brief description: we are a diverse RP based region, with a interactive based map, geo political role play and active Discord! we are based on a SCI-FY concept and hope you wish to become apart of our RP and Discord community, we are full of options and wish the best for all new nations. If you have any questions feel free to reach out on the discord or to any government members, they will be more then happy to help! have fun in our small corner of fun in Nationstates.
That's crazy. Well, the region is The Alterran Republic, and my nation there is Aygothantu. Here's a discord link to the server.
This can be related to multiple factors. Either a lack of environmental protection, support for nuclear weapons, mistreatment of employees, absence of safety regulations, etc. Should you want to lower the number of deaths caused by exposure, these are the areas where I would look to vote. It may take you a while to get there. I'm not sure what the averages are, since NS does not provide global statistics on this. (Perhaps this is an idea for future game updates.)
Cheers, Orioni
From what I can see you are indeed at 87.54 MLK units. There could be multiple reasons why this has not yet increased.
Do let us know how thing evolve. For a relatively new nation of 96 million, you already are in the top 3% worldwide (ranked 3976th).
Hi there. To be honest, I'm actually kinda glad you stuck around NS long enough to get bored with the issues. :) Those really are the beginner's entrance point into the game.
A while ago I wrote a dispatch explaining how to get started in NationStates, taking into account three different levels.
Sure sounds like you're no longer a beginner, and ready for the next level. You can read my dispatch here on getting started in NationStates.
Best way to learn is through experience. I see someone else suggested a defender for you to contact already, so I'll suggest a raider. Telegram We Are Not the NSA of HYDRA Command and I'll show you. https://www.nationstates.net/region=hydra_command
Holy shit. It's literally a copy paste of the last one. I had to add the links in the resolution. It's possibly the worst resolution I've seen.
Congratulations on starting your region! I'm sorry to say I won't be moving as I'm high in another region's government, but nonetheless here are a few tips:
By the way, it's impossible to unseat a Founder as long as the nation remains, so don't worry about that.
The decisions are all up to you, naturally. Good luck!
Another delay, hooray for finals /s
Anyway, this just seems like a continuation of the drama surrounding the The Red Fleet. A military group of Communists, socialists, etc. Who act as a military arm for many regions.
The votes against tally makes me wonder. Does the red fleet really have this much support or are people just sick of seeing them on the WA/Security council resolutions?
P.S. please lobby for less links in the resolutions.
Feel free to discuss the resolution here instead of the Nation states forum. What do you think? Do you believe it's worthwhile or worthless?
Link to the discussion in the Security Council forum
Edit: added link to Security Council forum for increased convenience.
The issues basically just affect your nation statistics. You can see the full numbers here https://www.nationstates.net/page=compare/nations=garyth (just look at all the different graphs you can find from the dropdown on the top right of the page), which are condensed into the 'Civil Rights' 'Economy' and 'Political Freedoms' scores you see at the top of your main nation page, and which get you various badges (you can see at the bottom of your page that your nation is in the top 5% of the world for most authoritarian, for instance).
If you want actual 'war' on NS, there are only two ways to go about it. You have roleplaying, usually done on the main NationStates forums in the International Incidents section or on various regional forums (links usually found in their World Factbook Entries). This is a written, cooperative effort with other players. Then you have the game military invasions mentioned in that FAQ answer above. This is often known as Raiding and Defending (R/D). Raiders essentially invade regions for fun or because they don't like them, while defenders like the group I run out of the region Lazarus try and keep their own as well as innocent regions safe.
https://www.nationstates.net/page=faq
>How do I go to war against another nation? Or trade with them?
>In one sense, you can't. NationStates doesn't include these things—because it's a simple game, and because they would bias things in favor of militaristic and capitalist nations. One of the nice things about NationStates is that you can craft a nation into your idea of Utopia without having to worry about such pragmatic concerns as national defence.
>There are, however, two types of wargame that have been developed by the NationStates community. One is regional invasions, where nations attempt to move into another region and topple the Regional Delegate; the other is an in-depth role-playing game that takes place in the International Incidents forum.
>Many people have suggested a more sophisticated version of NationStates, with trade and military conflicts, but this is unlikely, as it would fundamentally change who we are. At its core, NationStates is a political game, not a wargame.
Those two stats are public; they're right there on your nation profile. ;)
However, the API lets you see other stats that are normally hidden (like your exact scores in influence or the various freedoms, and other census scores that aren't on today's census).
The World Federation is a great region to call home! We are a very stat-based region. Freeham's thing is scoring high in freedom rankings, the eastern orthodox church's thing is scoring high in religiousness, my nation's (Kinben) thing is scoring high in HDI, TheAgenda and BGI's thing is big government, and Hypno Toad's thing is just drugs... We have a somewhat active RP and a discord server link is provided in the description. We are pretty laid back and chill, with a ironic japanese orthodoxy theme (at least for now). Before, we were an ironic CCP-Stan themed region. The theme of our region changes semi-regurally, and I believe that its a fun way to engage our small community of 10. When the theme changes, the flag, banner, description, and roles change, and usually the members change with the tide as well. I'd really appreciate it if you even considered looking at our quaint little region. Have a good day!
You've clearly got inspired by the EU flag and the flag of Greenland, It's really cool.
You can check out my if you want. (It's not that cool) : https://www.nationstates.net/nation=savoy\_and\_milan
https://www.nationstates.net/page=boneyard?nation=futa_miku
Your nation name was Futa Miku, it doesn't take a genius to figure out why the mods would delete an account with that name and you claiming that you were 'clueless' about why they would do this is quite obviously bullshit.
kill the rights and freedoms is a thing I do. also, can you link me your nation so that I can see if there's something that is killing your economy? or give you some tips https://www.nationstates.net/nation=sonania this is my nation
I’ve experienced 2 godmodders. 1 claimed to be an ultra power nation the first day he joined, and was magically sitting on every natural resource ever in his non-existent space (he didn’t even fill out the map application).
The other was in a joint RP between our region and another. They RPed their individual character “empress”. Essentially they were a god anti-democracy anti-capitalist Dragon. I’ll just link their factbook...
https://www.nationstates.net/nation=platinia/detail=factbook/id=1268827
It happened to me when I turned Socialist. My economy moved down barley, but it was still in the 90's.

Region Name: The Great Archipelago https://www.nationstates.net/region=the_great_archipelago
R/D/RP/Other: Light to moderate roleplay. Casual gameplay
Number of Active Players: 9 are active, with about 18 nation's in the region total
A brief description:
In the Great Archipelago, we tend to strive for the highest. We communicate with each other often through Discord as well as use it as a medium to introduce new laws. We have our regional Constitution and Democracy system, and we would love to invite new players in and form many embassies with other regions. Our region is neutral, anti-extremist, and democratic.
Hello Kedri. To answer your question: piracy still exists to this day, although in limited form. Look for example at Somalia and the Philippines. These groups are never large enough to form a complete nation. More likely they are a fringe group of society, left with no other means to make a living.
In this modern era of nation-states there is only room for privateering under the umbrella of war. So it becomes more the seizure of enemy property by a rival nation, than actual individuals trying to enrich themselves.
Does this answer your question?
Have a lovely weekend, Orioni
Many happy returns /u/starblayde. Our nations must have been founded around the same time. Your sports RP's are always nice to follow. I've been meaning to ask: what tool did you use to make those kits? https://www.nationstates.net/page=dispatch/id=49554
• RP only
• 2 (very small)
• Founded in 2018, Oskia is a very new region, with modern technology, a democratic government, and it's own political union. We are planning to have political parties and constitution to further improve the government.
My nation. Although just started. Is Socialistic with freedom to bare arms and civil rights. Plan is to have a balance of strong social programs. As well as a strong voluntary military.
My region Europa is coming up on fourteen years now. Dedication is what will make you last. Quality over quantity. We create high value for a (relatively) small audience. It's a niche that works. We don't recruit. People are attracted to the quality, and stay because the become invested.
we're nominally a mercenary region but we're really just a nice place to hang out
60 nations, maybe 20 or 30 active
OBI is an old raiding/defending region. We're currently mercenary but the region's focus is less on raiding than it used to be. We're a great place to hang out with regular polls and conversations. Check us out and consider staying!
Gday! I'm Ainslie, a member of The Western Isles (TWI). We are a modern tech roleplaying region. In that region we don't count NationStates stats, but rather, we write our own factbooks. You could be a psychotic dictatorship on NS Stats, but in our region you can be regarded as liberal paradise. As for the issue thing, if you need a quick fix - pick the most extreme option possible and it will probably pull you back in the direction you want it to. If you want a good economy, act like you're desperate for productivity and treat humans as natural resources. You can then repair your social policies. There's a spot in the social left where you can have all three bright green, and I assume that is what you're looking for.
You've got an interesting region going on there. Does your system for wars work well? I notice it costs a currency to declare and maintain a war, which is a fascinating system, especially as we're experimenting with our own currency system to incentivize activity and reward good roleplaying.
Our region has always been more focused on lore and lore-based RP, rather than warring, so it's nice to see something very different. Looks like y'all are a great region!
Expect an embassy request from Constantinalia soon. ;)
Nice region you've got going on there. I find it interesting that you have limited RP map claims to WA nations only. That could be a good trick for me to learn from.
Question: where did your founder go?
Cheers, Orioni
To have the highest score in any of the three categories, I think you are best to choose Anarchy as government, and not answer any of the other questions. That won't last long, however, since your stats decline if you don't answer issues. This is counted towards your total "averageness", which is also a category you can rank for.
Cheers, Orioni.
You could hide this bug by turning off the IRC option in your setting. That doesn't fix the issue, but hides this annoying overlap.
With kind regards,
-- Orioni
There is an absolute number that can be accessed via the nation API. https://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/api.cgi?nation=NAME&q=census&scale=65 I don't know of any research regarding the influence cost of various actions however.
It is generally believed that absolute influence growth is a (possibly linear) function of endorsement count. It would follow that your absolute influence count will keep rising over time, while your influence rank will (very slowly) approach your endorsement rank.
Feel free to discuss the resolution here instead of the Nation states forum. What do you think? Do you believe it's worthwhile or worthless?

We are a very small region over in Aeia and would love to have a new member. We plan to host both serious and casual RPs, whilst also providing for regional geopolitics and diplomacy if you wish to become a part of it.

My nation: the principality of Beefdip
Just started the other day.. A decent sized realm located on the eastern shores of the Caspian Sea and starches deep into the barren stepe.
We are the top 10% totalitarian countries. No political freedom. And heavily restricted civil rights... And we love it... Well minus our horrid environmental issues send help pls.
That actually sounds pretty fun. I should do something like that some time.
>Currently we're staunch Democratic Socialists
I think I found your problem. :P
Jokes aside, refer to this post for tips on getting economy up.

Thanks i used this website but im still learning how to use it. Im hoping to get a more detailed version done soon. And some variations with different info etc.
Dertarae is the worst at the following 10 things:
. 10 . Death Rate, 91%
. 9 . Ignorance, 92%
. 8 . Industry: Automobile Manufacturing, 93% (The Community of Dertarae is a huge, safe nation, notable for its ban on automobiles. The Dertari national animal is the raven, which soars majestically through the nation's famously clear skies.)
. 7 . Industry: Beverage Sales, 94%
. 6 . Patriotism, 95%
. 5 . Weaponization, 95%
. 4 . Obesity, 96%
. 3 . Industry: Gambling, 97%
. 2 . Industry: Furniture Restoration, 97%
. 1 . Corruption, 98%
The closest thing you'll get to wars is raiding. It is allowed, but generally frowned upon by the NS community. It essentially consists of a raid leader and their goons going to a random region, usually a small one, and having their goons endorse the raid leader into power to the point where the raid leader gets in control of the region. Then they usually do destructive stuff like rebranding the region, deleting all the regions embassy's, kicking everyone out of the region, and password-locking the region, so that no one gets in.
Then there's diplomacy between regions, in which two regions can decide to create embassies with eachother. Doesn't do much really, more symbolic than anything.
If your looking for a place, then I think The World Federation would be a great place for your nation to settle in. We don't currently do much RP, mainly due to a lack of interest in the creation of one. However, we would be completely open to starting some RP activity in the RMB or our regional discord. I'm sure the other nations wouldn't mind joining in on the fun either! Well, I hope your journeys in NS stay well. Have a good day! :)
Thank You! I originally joined this region March of this year and it was somewhat active for a month or so because the founder was involved and a few people including me were. He stepped away from the game and since our region has been dead, I have remained active along with another person. https://www.nationstates.net/region=the_fish_tank It's password protected so telegram the WA delegate for the password!
Long-tap and copy the image url. (Not the same as the webpage url.)
It should end with .jpg or .png depending on the file type you uploaded.
Good of you to ask for assistance. Feel free to contact me on NS.
Hasn't been around long enough. Gotta get in that triple-digit trillion GDP my guy. I'm in the 200 trillion club myself.
And only 2 achievements? I've got 30 of 'em.
Join us! We’re all pretty active and have a few role play scenarios going from viruses to an international space station. Liberal Democratic Union
https://www.nationstates.net/region=the_region_that_has_no_big_banks maybe its not massively active in terms of RP stuff but the message board is quite active... Also its only 100 nations so its not too much
Hello! We have a place for you over in Laraniem (https://www.nationstates.net/region=laraniem). I think it ticks all three of your boxes - we have somewhat active RP (always looking for someone new to kickstart a new conversation!), complete free speech within reason, and we aren't really huge or really small. The community is friendly and welcoming, and we'd be very happy to have you.
Eastern europe is looking for people to do RP, and we are looking for new members also ( I am FRS (federal republic of socialsts - no this isn't a typo, I fucked up when originally typing and misspelled it):
Personally I prefer less defence spending and better health for people but you are a young nation and im not gunna judge. Its hard when your nation is new and there isnt a huge gdp.
Wanna check out mine? https://www.nationstates.net/nation=nexercia
Loving the flag btw its crazy how did you make it?
I'm not actually a person in my nation; Aldina is a worldbuilding project with its own in-character NPC leadership. They are a constitutional monarchy that leans somewhat towards authoritarian statism. (Not sure why the game has dubbed them "Democratic Socialists", they are neither democratic nor socialist.)
Funny thing is I commented on that post right before I saw this. Here is my answer.
> I am am a leader that brings freedom, albeit with a firm hand. I take control of things I feel I need to take control over (freedom/right wise), but the rest is mostly untouched. It’s probably best described as an Authoritarian Democracy, although it mostly democratic and less authoritarian. I use the Elective Monarchy system, meaning I’m an elected king. I’m not all powerful, but still have more power than a president or prime minister would.
You're flag is AMAZING man. 10 out of 10, good shit!. Nation is dope too!. Keep it up!
Also Feel free to check out my nation as well!
There are literally thousands of regions, you'll find something at the very least. And, my region kind of counts. Because we are an rp region, there can be a multitude of stuff, but if you're democratic, you'll fit the status quo just fine.
And it's these guys in these regions https://www.nationstates.net/region=altay it's this freaking region salt cuz I hate them they get my accounts deleted by these freaking mod so I can say that the mods and this region are stupid in the game
In my region Eurth we use this national anthem lyrics generator. Hope it helps. Be sure to share your final result.
The original creator of NationStates is really biased and ignorant about actual ideological positioning, so don’t be too surprised if your nation doesn’t reflect accurately.
Feel free to check out mine as example.
Despite skipping questions and only selecting to answer ones that I’m sure will raise what I want (ideologically I’m an OG Libertarian, aka Libertarian Socialist and/or Anarchist), and my results have been.. interesting...
https://www.nationstates.net/nation=libertarian_socialist_sol
Same, but I think it is so small it doesn't affect my economy at all, feels good.
https://www.nationstates.net/nation=saralonia/detail=economy
If your looking for an RP region that's not gigantically big and very welcome to newcomers to both nationstates and RP, i'd have to recomend Triad Archipelago. https://www.nationstates.net/region=triad_archipelago
Hey buddy listen, look at this nation:
https://www.nationstates.net/nation=mozilla_floweyland
A socialist nation with a powerhouse economy. I know what your thinking, this nation has been existence for 6 months, yeah, it's hard, but it's possible. You just have to keep answering issues in nice, compassionate, and good-willing way, make welfare go through the roof, you won't be able to do it with small government, make government involved in everyone's life down to the second!
Ok maybe not, I guess you do want to have civil rights, but sometimes too many civil rights doesn't mean a happy, healthy, and nice population, you have to protect them, and the only way to do that is to stop people from breaking laws, not through deterring, but through rehabilitating yet preventative measures like surveillance and IDs.
It's kinda explained in the FAQ:
> I just banned skateboards and my insurance industry boomed! Why??
> Because of the way so many factors can interact, it's hard to predict the effects of a decision even when you know all the variables. Banning skateboards, for example, can lead to unhappier teenagers, who generate more youth crime, which increases the level of fear amongst the general populace, which spurs insurance sales.
Hey man, I just wanna say you could always just join the Conch Kingdom, they have basically everything since they're an enormous region very well known for having high regional power.
Conch Kingdom is open to everyone, I found them to be a really active and nice community, they have an official map, which I like, and they have a lot of stuff laid out no matter what you wanna do.
I’ve lived in Europe since my first 5 million pop, now I’m at 250 million, and they have a fairly decent population. Our delegate is Imperium Anglorum, we have no Endorsement Cap, and every single telegram we send is always overly nice. We also have quite a high nation count, and That’s gotta count for something, eh?
https://www.nationstates.net/region=europe
P.S - We have an active RP community, though I’ve never bothered to join it. You can see it on the region description/main page
If Ya want, you can join The Labyrinth. It's got an RP (Alternate Universe map, and it's set in 1880 Currently), Monthly elections, and a warm community. Inter regional stock market (Fictional), and a region-wide soccer cup.
Or how about “SPACE”. It’s founder disappeared so long ago that is does not even have a founder position.
The current delegate has been the delegate on and off for over 11 years.
With a population of nearly 8 Billion, you won't be able to re-found it. The upper limit is 500 Million.
There was a good three years where my economy was tanked into the negatives. It took some doing, and an unfortunately massive black market, but I think I'm in the top 2% for the world as far as economies go now.
I did it by making sure to only ever choose polices in favor of businesses for about a year, and then slowly crushed all free-market options from my nation. It was slow going, but I clawed my way back up to 100 on the line graph. https://www.nationstates.net/nation=arutiise
I would also recommend Inkscape. It's a free, vector graphics program. Bit of a steep learning curve, but nothing too difficult, and the program I prefer using.
Looking through Wikimedia Commons, particularly their heraldry categories, is also a good place to look for public domain assets to use until you get more practice with the program under your belt.
Try a tag search: https://www.nationstates.net/page=tag_search
Each region has a list of tags it chooses to represent what sort of region it is. When you search, it'll probably helpful to switch the sort order to "Number of nations" in the upper-right dropdown menu because alphabetical or "average disposable income" is just going to show you a ton of one-nation regions in the top results.
> If you move regions or your nation dies and you resurrect it, then your influence will be 0 again.
This is not correct all the time. If you move regions and before your influence drops to 0 you move back it will climb up. And if your nation dies but revive it early it won't drop to 0: Check out A World Assembly Member. It dies 4 days ago and revives 3 days ago, it's influence drop 10 points during the time it cte. (the greater decline is caused by GCRs decay)
Not sure what your region would be unless you link it, but basically your region was "tag" raided. This is pretty harmless, as they're usually used by Raiders as either entertainment or training runs.
Here's what's is probably the most objective explanation of Military Gameplay that you'll find.
For context, I'm a Commander in The Grey Wardens, who are the more-or-less largest Defender military, so if you'd like to ever get your region in helping out others who get attacked like y'all do, feel free to look us up.
As for how this occurs, as Yarvem said, it happens via WA endorsements. The nation with the most endorsements in the region can become the World Assembly Delegate, whether the most endorsements is 1 or 1000. If you check your region page, you'll see something that says "Last WA Update". This is referencing when the last update that could have created a Delegate can happen. These happen twice a day, once between 0000-0100 Eastern and the other between 1200-1245 Eastern or so.
Now, since I assume you're a Founder, you can easily make your region immune by making your World Assembly Non-Executive, which limits their regional powers. In general, you should probably explore your Administration and Regional Controls page to see what kind of powers you're keen to give Regional Officers/Delegate.
If you need more help, feel free to shoot me a PM and we can link up via Discord or On-Site.
I recommend, my own region of Alvaria, we have an active 1870s RP, also a strong political scene if you're interested and a tight-knit community.
Would love to see you guys around.
Well, the region I hail from is [Markion], which although we do not currently do RMB RP's. We do have several ongoing regional roleplays. If this interests you hop on our regional discord and we will answer any questions you have. (https://www.nationstates.net/region=markion)
Go to the Forest page. Here's a link: https://www.nationstates.net/region=forest/
If you scroll down, there should be a red button that says something along the lines of, "Move United Forest Commonwealth to Forest!". Click it, it will ask you to confirm, say yes.
That should be it! See you there soon.
It is clear that the very game play itself is indeed oriented against new players.
Others have mentioned the dispiriting swings when a issue has an unexpected outcome whilst a nation is nascent.
The trading card system has been dominated by bots and nationeers with 100s of nations - and hence no one new has any real chance of getting into the league tables:
https://www.nationstates.net/page=deck/show_market=decks
Simply do a Nation Search for "card farmer" to indeed see how out of reach this subgame is for any newcomer.
The Challenge subgame is similar - with the top rankers literally having several times more points than those outside even the top 20:
https://www.nationstates.net/page=challenge/ladder=1
And yet these problems could indeed be simply solved with simple in-game cost methodologies:
eg a small transaction tax for each of the buyer or seller (or indeed transferred) of a card.
And a points penalty for backspacing out of a challenge when losing - plus a better way to penalize constant winning against low-ranked opponents.
And thus these aspects of the gaming experience would again be genuinely applicable to newcomers alike.
Your description is not really the same as my own experience. While the activity in NS does eb and flow, the overall amount of activity remains roughly the same albeit fragmented. However, I do admit the quality is relatively lower.
Cheers, Orioni
If the ex-nation has an ID listed, just copy it and put it at the end of this URL: https://www.nationstates.net/page=deck/card=
Keep it mind though that only nations that were extant on 1 April 2018 will have a card and some nations that either CTE'd before that date or weren't active on that date (and CTE'd later) will still have IDs but you'll just get a 'There is no such Trading Card' message.
Unfortunately there's no way to manually search for ex-nation cards, you have to do it via this method.

>I have more than one nation. Can they all join the WA?
No. While you can have as many nations as you like, only one may be a World Assembly member at a time.
>What if I sneak them in?
First, please don't. This is against the rules, and considered cheating. Sophisticated pattern-matching software constantly scans for suspicious behavior and will expel nations from the World Assembly that it determines are likely to be cheats (known as "WA multies"). Repeat or large-scale offenders are deleted.
The League of Conservative Nations (https://www.nationstates.net/region=the_league_of_conservative_nations) is open to anyone. There's a brief form and a six question test for citizenship, but there's a guide for it. We're pretty active on Discord as well.
Here's the link to the code, although I can't find the difference between what you told me to do and what was already there, except for URL vs url which doesn't seem to be the problem. I'd be glad if you could take a look at it.

Hi, I actually run the RP for one of the larger regions on NS, the New Western Atlantic. I’ve been running it for almost two years now. Our rp is actually separate from the your nation, you can use your NS nation in the rp but the rp theme changes every 4 or so months. We currently had about 30-35 active players in our rp and we’re always looking for more. Here’s the link to our region: https://www.nationstates.net/region=new_western_atlantic
Ajax has a good mix of roleplayers and worldbuilders, plus some cartographers of our own, so you can find the level of RP you're interested in.
I'm not the cartographer, but I think your nation concept could work in the new world. We have a continent for colonial/indigenous nations and a continent for non-colonial indigenous nations, depending on what route you're interested in taking.
Would definitely recommend checking out our region page to see if we're a good fit for you.
