I have a Renpho scale - it’s Bluetooth compatible like the Aria but significantly less expensive. Renpho also has an app that gives more detail on your weight that I find useful beyond just pounds. Renpho Scale
there's a free app here for food density. I never tried it tho.
If you're sitting at a desk this one is good for food density
This was the link I was given in my chat with customer service a while back to get a full year purchase option, and I was able to put in the coupon code for 90% off and pay like 77 dollars for the whole year

I love (yes, love! 😄) my Renpho body fat smart scale from Amazon. It has an app where it shows many stats like BMI, body fat, muscle mass, protein, body water. It syncs with Noom and Apple Health, as well as other health apps. When my weight ticks up a little, it’s nice to see that it is often due to an increase in muscle. I first got it when I did keto about 4 years ago, so I can compare my progress with Noom as the data and graphs are still in the app. https://www.amazon.com/RENPHO-Bluetooth-Bathroom-Composition-Smartphone/dp/B01N1UX8RW/ref=sr_1_5?crid=3NJF77KEZJOK2&dchild=1&keywords=renpho+scale&qid=1626899128&sprefix=Renpho%2Caps%2C239&sr=8-5
Veggies. They are my go to snack. High in fiber to fill me up.
I also have switched to low calorie and low fat options.
I prepare all my snacks and meals for the week on Sunday night. And I use pre-portioned containers. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DJ8ZYLH/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_KH148YHKKJDWH5QXAXH4?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I have had a massive sweet tooth lately so I am learning how to make homemade fruit leathers. But sometimes I have a "bad" day and go for a spoonful of peanut or almond butter.
I bought this scale for under $25 and it tracks it all from BMI to weight all on my phone.
Would doing meal planning and prep help? In the past, I have found that being able to plot out my entire week, knowing the contents in each meal ahead of time, and avoiding decision fatigue can be a useful tool. My husband and I went through and prepped with every recipe in this book: https://www.amazon.com/Healthy-Meal-Prep-Time-saving-portion/dp/1465464867#:~:text=Stephanie%20Tornatore%20and%20Adam%20Bannon,recipes%20with%20over%20500%2C000%20followers.
It was a few years ago, and before Noom, but with everything listed and prepared ahead of time, you are cooking for an entire week all at once. Depending on your specific boundaries, it might help.
I absolutely love my scale! I bought this one from Amazon. It's all fancy with a low cost! It syncs up to pretty much any health app (Google fit, S Health, etc.) But noom no longer takes the info from those apps which sucks. It was nice to not worry about having to manually enter the data.
In doing a quick search, yes, there are small travel scales! Good to know for when conference travel resumes again.

I bought this one and LOVE it. It's very easy to use, and I can keep resetting it to zero as I add more food to one bowl. I write down the various foods/weights then log it all at once. I find that easier than trying to fuss with the app while I'm focusing on weighing things.
I purchased this from Amazon and I’ve been pretty happy with it
This book was recommended to me by a weight management doctor. I just got it so I haven’t worked through it yet. I also use LoseIt to track my food, calories, and macros.

I feel you. I use a generous amount (1 cup heated) of unsweetened vanilla almond milk (Silk and Almond Breeze are my favorites) and sometimes add a tablespoon or two ofTorani sugar free vanilla syrup (it's the same one they use at Starbucks) and I can't even tell it's not real sugar. Sometimes I add cinnamon powder on top or pumpkin spice mix from Trader Joe's. Really elevates your coffee without adding too much caloric density.
I had the same issue when I started and I think part of it is just eating less = pooping less, which was an unexpected result. I looked up high fiber foods and found apples, avocados, and chicory root. Ate an apple and half an avocado and it did kinda help but maybe it was just time to go anyway, so IDK if they had a direct effect. Sometimes I take some of my child's Miralax though I don't like the way it makes me feel. I searched for fiber supplements and learned some info about prebiotic fiber that helps you be regular and repopulate/sustain your gut bacteria which aids weight loss (as long as you're doing everything else right; it won't make you lose weight on its own). I got some of these and IDK, things are a little better but not back to my old ways. They taste great though! And if they help with the gut bacteria then that's cool.
The Skinny Taste Cookbook has a lot of good , low cal recipes! $17.68 on Amazon for the hardcover.
I rewarded myself with an air fryer too! And only 3 months later, I can’t imagine life without it!
I really toiled over what to get, but I was already following someone on YouTube and liked her recipes. I felt it would be so easy to get the same one as her so I could easily follow her recipes.
If interested, you can look at YouTube for “Air Fryer Kathy” and she’ll come up (Her profile is Fabulessly Frugal, spelled with two s’s). She even has a link you can follow through to Amazon, so that’s what I did. She just has so much useful info.

You will also need oil sprayers. I got the Mistifi brand. They’re pricy, but I’ve had sprayers in the past that leaked, got sticky, or just didn’t work and all ended up in the trash. These are amazing and I like how they spray.
Why I love it:
*They inner liner is nonstick. I did order the paper parchment sheets, but honestly Inever use them, even for cheese.
*It’s SQUARE. Many are round and I like making open face sandwiches.
*The size says extra large but it’s just a good normal size. I can make a nice open faced sandwich in here.
*It has a shake reminder that will beep half way through if you push the shake button.
*I feel like it’s very compact for what it is. It fits so nicely under my cupboards, then I slide it forward and plug it in to use it. Very light and easy.
*Some of the off brands had issues with catching on fire. This was alarming, so I was set on getting a trusted name brand. Kathy has an unboxing video on how to set it up and clean it before your first use. I followed that.
PB2 is delish and made for this exact thing - https://www.amazon.com/Plantation-PB2-Powdered-Premium-Chocolate/dp/B0098WV8F2/ref=pd_lpo_1?pd_rd_i=B0098WV8F2&psc=1. i add salt and cayenne pepper and dip apples in it. sooooooo good.
I have luck searching for OAMC (once a month cooking) but usually just make twice as much of whatever I’m eating and stick it into one of these Pyrex’s. Stick in the freezer and defrost in the fridge if I have time, otherwise the microwave. It’s like someone made me a delicious chicken dinner with broccoli and rice on my most stressful days!
This is what I try to do. I pop kernels in the microwave in popcorn maker I bought on Amazon. I might add a little salt or none at all. Then I eat each kernel one by one. Takes forever and keeps me busy while watching the game or whatever.

It is the sous vide method. I tried instant pot, oven, and nothing made them the right consistency. When I tried the sous vide (I got this one, it's been great and it's cheap) method, they were PERFECT!
Below is the recipe I used. I've played around with different ingredients. For the roasted red pepper ones, make sure they're drained really well, that could change the consistency.

I just got this one and love it. It’s inexpensive and has a lot of different metrics which I like.
1/2 cup nonfat yogurt + 1/4 cup raspberries and then microplane some dark chocolate over it. A microplane shreds things so finely that it seems like you have a lot of whatever it is, but the amount weighs nothing. It really stretches a a little bit of chocolate (or cheese, or whatever) out.
There are brown rice "rollers" that come in a pair and are 100 calories. They are crunchy and a little sweet. I keep some in my desk or purse for when I might not have packed fresh fruit.
Carrot sticks, cut up cantaloupe, apple slices with some peanut butter (a thin layer), are all pretty satisfying.
I got a cheap one from Amazon in august and it does really well - holds charge for several days, links to Noom.
I'll report back. I get it cheap on Amazon and throw some in oatmeal once in a while...

I have the Withings Body Plus and I love it! Mine still syncs, although sometimes it may take it an hour or two after I've gone downstairs, while the scale is upstairs. And sometimes it syncs before I can even turn around and input the weight myself.
But I love it for the body composition, body fat, BMI, water percentage, and all that stuff. Yes, I know that it's not truthfully accurate on all that stuff but I can still see trends. And it's exciting to see my BMI go down and my muscle and or bone mass going up.
What's especially exciting is to see my water percentage going up when I have had trouble drinking enough water for years and years and years but I'm finally drinking almost enough.

So why not plan for the worst and hope for the best? Either way you'd be ready.. How bleak is your situation? Do you have access to a cigarette lighter in your car or are you 💯 percent out in the elements and have no access to electricity or heat for cooking? I definitely identify with the working through lunch crowd but it's important that we nourish ourselves.
In the case you have access to a car I would definitely get one of these:
https://www.amazon.com/Gideon-Heated-Electric-12-Volt-Portable/dp/B072QKTGM9
If not and you want hot food I would get a couple thermoses so that at least you can keep cold things cold and hot things warm.
I use this one from Omron - https://www.amazon.com/Omron-Body-Composition-Monitor-Scale/dp/B0020MMCDE/ref=sr_1_1_sspa
It has 90 days worth of history so I can see how I compare to the previous day and week. Plus I like seeing how my muscle mass impacts my weight.
i asked them to cancel my subscription and clear the coupon code off my account. they did that immediately and i got an email confirming.
Then I clicked this link (provided by them) to sign up for the 1yr plan and entered the coupon code once I was on the right screen. I just entered the same name/email address as my trial account
https://www.noom.com/purchase/en/option_j_20201022/?route=_direct&ipt=false#/account
I was actually sent an 80% off code, but they set it as recurring every 4 months, so wasn't actually 80% off and I hadn't seen the option anywhere when registering to pick something else. I contacted support asking about it and they explained I needed a 12-month plan to get the full 80% , and that I could cancel and re-start my trial to pick a different option. I used HOLIDAY90 at that point and selected the 12-month option. I think this link will default to 12 months, it's what the support agent sent me to reactivate. https://www.noom.com/purchase/en/option_j_20201022/?route=_direct&ipt=false#/account
If you are accurately counting calories, you can still be successful. That is also harder when traveling because of eating out so often, but if you apply the lessons on portion control and intuitive eating, you can definitely make progress. I was resistant to daily weigh-ins at first but once I committed I found that having a new number every day made each weigh in less significant. I could see trends over time and let the occasional gains roll off my back.
I recently went on a 2 week trip for work and purchased a travel scale to take with me. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B095N1V4DM
Using two scales can be tricky because they are not going to measure exactly the same. I tested this scale in the same spot in my bathroom, first thing in the morning before I ate anything and found it was .4 lbs higher than my usual scale. So I had a way to benchmark this scale vs my regular weigh ins at home. If you are traveling for months this may not even be necessary, the travel scale will be your usual scale. Good luck!
I got the "mini" size candy bars that are ~40 calories each. I usually have enough left in my budget at the end of the day for 2 of them (if I'm in the mood, which I'm not always). I make it a little ritual, going to the candy bowl and picking out which kinds I want, and then I eat them slowly with a mug of tea.
Big change from last year, when I would habitually grab 4-5 "fun size" and eat them on the way to work, plus more when I got home!

I highly recommend the smart scales (you can buy varying ones from on IG or Amazon). The one I use tracks everything via separate app Body Weight, BMI, Body Fat %, Water %, Skeletal Muscle, Fat-free Body Weight, Subcutaneous Fat, Visceral Fat, Muscle Mass, Bone Mass, Protein, Basal Metabolism, and Body Age. I’m not certain how accurate those things are but interesting to see the stats and track over time
I just joined Noom so excited to track my progress with this tool, too!
I appreciate and agree with both of you. I started in June and am down 18 lbs. I plateau every few weeks. What’s helped me tremendously has been a $20 scale purchase on Prime. It allows me to see changes in weight, BMI, muscle mass, protein, metabolic age and more. If the weight isn’t dropping for a bit, but my percentage of body fat has gone down a percent or two, I’m winning.
I hope this doesn’t sound silly, but seeing myself lost fat and gain muscle mass has been very encouraging. Scale
Not sure if you’d even want this, but I got this cherry pitted on Amazon and now I love cherries even more. Obecome Cherry Pitter - 6 Cherries https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01B5YXJAW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_AFKDESVFV4X95BBCJEE1

If you're looking at getting a new one and want a smart scale, the Renpho is great. Its inexpensive, accurate and if you sync it with some apps, it will automatically input your weight into noom.
I have this one and it's great. You just have to lurk nearby so you can take it out before the pooped kernels burn. I usually get very few unpopped kernels - like 10-15.

I just started noom and I’m seriously considering this travel scale. I travel for work about 3-5 days a week..mostly by car so it will be easy to bring my home scale but I will also have a bunch of flights coming up soon.
When I first started I had a very similar scale. I would actually weigh myself, move the scale, zero it out, weigh again, move the scale, weigh again. Seriously not worth it. Invest in a new scale! I got this one for $30 and never looked back.
Thinking I need to go to something like this that is heavy enough with rubber feet it can't move around. Ugh.

I got this crisper basket for my oven, works just as good as a air fryer even with the recommended times: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06W55WL7Q/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_XHEDM7DX5EKRVN2NDW1R
However, when my toaster bites the dust, I'm getting the toaster that's also an air fryer. Two birds. One stone.
I love wine too and this is my downfall. With red wine, I bought a measuring wine glass from Amazon and drink 4oz at a time. On a weekend, I try to commit to 12oz. I also drink a glass of water in between to spread out. If I’m drinking white wine, I add club soda to make it a spritzer. I just try to add volume without calories to help me spread throughout the night.

A light spritz of olive oil spray and either Tajin or Trader Joe’s Everything But the Elotes Seasoning.
Though, now that I think of it, I don’t know how much if any salt either one has.
I bought a 32 oz water bottle with per-hour marks and cheesy motivational text on the side. Each hour says things like "remember your goal", "keep chugging", "don't give up", stuff like that. It's also an awesome green-to-pink color gradient, so I feel like I'm drinking magical unicorn water.
Here's the one I have:

I second this, OP! Get you a cute cup or two and refill it as soon as you empty it.
I make sure to fill mine, drink it all, then refill it before each meal.
I didn’t even realize there was more than one! The one I have is 100 recipes to live to 100. I love this one so much I have a physical copy and the kindle version! Enjoy :)
This is one of my biggest issues as well! I just bought a little frother stick and started to use almond milk (while not as think or satisfying, the frothing really helps!). I warm up the almond milk and then buzz it up and it recreates a homemade latte. This is the only way I can get around the yummy flavored creamers.
I have started doing morning coffees with the frothed almond milk, and then keep the sweet creamers for an afternoon coffee treat when I need it only a couple times a week instead of every day.
Here's the frother if anyone is interested.
