It did get removed. Twitch stopped supporting their in-game API, so we had to pull it from the build. We're still super active on twitch (including right this very second!), so it's still very important to us.
In this article they seem to be avoiding "Pay-To-Win" so I'd hope that the micros are cosmetic and/or unlockable toons. Loadout is a GREAT example of this. Even though the micro's offer NO gameplay advantage you still want to buy them 'cause they're so damn cool.

You're welcome. I didn't find them immediately either. I look for written content first but everything was (potentially) outdated.
I'm watching the latest pvp recording on his twitch channel at the moment. The between-match discussions about bosses or traps are sometimes interesting. Also saw his favorite trap spots on the other map. :)
I would highly suggest using OBS https://obsproject.com/ for all your recording needs now. You can stream as well as set up a local record in OBS to be near lossless quality with the x.264 encoder bundled with the software.
There are some more alternatives now like Nvidia Shadowplay if you have a newer GTX card. Shadowplay is very good but it records at variable framerate, which can cause issues in certain video editors. This is why I suggest OBS over Shadowplay because it has the option to use CFR (constant frame rate). This is not the same as bit rate.
I typically like to drink a nice glass of room temperature water before recording to help the vocal cords. Don't drink acid (soda, juice) or cold stuff. For OMD2 specifically I would always make sure I had a loadout ready for the level I was doing and a goal set for myself (wave 40+ endless, tutorials, comboing, etc). I would also make sure to do trial runs before recording to not waste tons of space and time.
Finally, I liked to commentate over my footage after I finished playing. This has the advantage of analyzing your own gameplay, but the downside of if you recorded it a few days ago you may have forgotten what you did. If you want to do commentary while you play, you need to be fast and have a quick wit in my opinion. Repeating what you just did seven times is not fun to watch (and if you watch a lot of "popular" streamers that is what they do to fill time).
I hope this has helped and if you decide to go with OBS I can help you set up a local profile to make those great recordings I mentioned earlier.
There'll be one more patch before Open Beta starts. The last thing that was said indicating a timetable was "first half of 2016" which would put it in May/June by the looks of things. But until an actual release date is announced we can only guess.
We don't have any information other than that it will be a timed-exclusive on Stadia at release.
If I had to guess, I would assume PS4 is likely since Robot seems to have a good relationship with Sony. I think we all want it to be on Steam, but it's possible that it goes to Epic since ReadySet Heroes is going to be launching there in October.
Not sure if you are still checking this, but I came up with a work around. I use some software to force borderless full screen, and it looks to work fine with Orc launcher.

Install, you make need to configure what resolution you want from the tray icon.
Right click the tray icon, click add screen, make the window active and press F3. It should resize to fill your screen automatically.
