I got a very short cord and it works great, it doesn't take much space:
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07WVXGFCJ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I even have space to put my sunglasses to the right of where the cord plugs in.
It also promotes not playing with your phone while driving since there is no way with such a short cord :)
Had a rodent problem in my garage 4 years ago, bought one of these and I haven't had an issue since.
Reached out to fitcamx support and they told me to get this. I was thinking of a same approach so this makes sense. Am trying it as soon as I receive it!

Open that link on a device using the same Google account as your car. You should hopefully be able to install it from the browser then.
We got one of these and put their favorite beds in it! It's a little unwieldy to get in and out of the car but it's easier than trying to shuttle them into the tiny transport carriers twice a day for a week lol
This one from Amazon was making the rounds a while ago. It’s in my “save for later” cart…haven’t gotten around to buying it yet. My fob stays in my jeans coin pocket for the most part, so don’t really need this.

FWIW I got a third party trunk mat from Amazon and it was much cheaper and fits great. I'm toying with getting floor mats from them too—they fit like they come from Polestar.

u/elegast-me had some cool articles on Polestar 2 accessories, but his blog isn't loading sadly.
I found this cup holder which looks pretty cool. Otherwise just search car cup holder on Amazon and find whatever you like the most!

Not saying it's the cheapest option, but Volvo sells leather cleaning wipes. Doubt they're anything special, but I've used them a couple times on my XC40. https://www.amazon.com/Genuine-Volvo-Leather-Cleans-Conditions/dp/B078KH7N8C
As or Apps, I installed the Chargepoint app & Vivaldi browser In addition, I bought an extra cup holder. This one from Amazon.. it's used for the passenger.
I also bought a 100 ft 10-guage extension cord & an extra j1772 charger for home, so I could keep the stock charger in my car. The extension cord is stored with the stock charger in case I get stranded somewhere with low charge - I should be able to plug into an outlet within 120 ft of me.
I also got a front bra installed. I'd recommend getting some paint protection film. I didn't have enough extra cash to do anything more than a front bra, but if I could go back, I'd make sure I could wrap more of the car in PPF - especially since I got Void.
You can get the parking mode if you order this to hardwire to fuse box
I used this video
And this cheap matte black vinyl
As a first time wrapper, my main advice would be to use a hairdryer to get the film hot. I was afraid of melting it so I only put the hairdryer on the film for a second or 2. Because of the film stretch needed to go around corners and not crinkle up, I should have applied more heat and not been afraid to stretch the film (which it's designed to do)
Since you guys gave me so much crap over my greasy screen, I bought a screen protector. Big improvement, but it does have a slight chromatic effect in bright sunlight. LFOTPP Screen Protector (PET 11.2 inch)
We got two of these baby shade sets. The big ones are exactly the right size to cover the pano roof side by side, so we have four of them up to cover the whole roof.

Hi friend! I'm waiting for TuxMat to be available for our cars. I've signed up on the waitlist so hoping it becomes available soon.
In the meantime, I have these TOUGHPRO mats that I was accidentally shipped that I'm going to install in the car sometime soon. I ordered the rear cargo mat but got these instead, and they just had me keep them instead of sending back. The mats are already cut to fit our cars, but they do not go up the sides. I reckon they have a giant sheet of this material and they just cut them as needed. The material looks nice though, would be a decent stopgap until the TuxMat arrives.
I've had a set of the TuxMats for my 2017 Acura RDX and I loved them. They go up pretty far up the sides, so the carpeted areas are nicely protected in my RDX. However the picture they have on their site is not the one for the P*2 yet, perhaps they're still in the middle making them?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.polestar.p2performancepack.production.android
Was expecting it to just be an OTA system app but I'm glad they pushed it through the store.
Hi friend! Here’s a direct link to the roll I bought from Amazon. They sell 5 foot wide sheets in incremental lengths of a foot, pretty sure they have a giant roll of the stuff and they just cut and repackage them as needed. Anyway I have plenty of material left so maybe in the future I’ll be wrapping more bits and pieces :)
I ordered the front-cam only version from Amazon and should be here in 2 weeks or so. I may post it once I get it installed (conducive to me remembering to)
Hello there! I just recently got my P*2 and I am also in search of good all weather mats for the passenger areas. What did y'all end up going with?
I ordered these ToughPro mats from Amazon for the cargo area, the sides don't go up but the way the mat is designed, it should still be able to contain minor spills and such. They also make a set for the passenger compartment and it seems to be the exact same material, does not come up the sides as well. I ordered them initially but quickly canceled them after realizing Tuxmat makes a set for the P*2, more on that in the next paragraph.
Funny you mention Canada, because while I am located in the US, I checked Tuxmat (US site link here) which is a Canadian company that makes awesome all weather mats. I had a set of them for my 2nd generation Acura RDX, and I was ecstatic to find out they do make mats for the P*2. However it is out of stock at the moment, and I did submit an "Email me when available" request. Hoping they would at least make one more set!
This deck looks mildly updated from the presentation they put up a bit back (the deck is on the site here), and I see a lot of the same outdated info, including those app screenshots. That's just a Photoshop of the launched app on top of the Polestar Connect app that the Polestar 1 uses (which is just a reskinned version of the old Volvo On Call app).
Found on Amazon- select the one shipped and sold by Amazon- it’s cheaper but slightly longer for shipping but mine arrived way sooner than it said it was expected to arrive.

Long ago, I got one of these seat protector things from Amazon and it really helped to protect the seat with the carseat's imprint and the child's shoes. My first child also sat rear facing until +4 years old, so her shoes would be stomping at the seat all the time. Consider getting a seat protector to protect the seat. After she went front facing then we got something similar for the rear of the front seat from more kicking. LOL

I also taking delivery mid of June, and I have been debating about the mats. I have them in the order. My car will have the zinc interior, and I was thinking that maybe this Toughpro ones would be a better option, the bad thing is the lack of side walls. So, I might just get the polestar ones. Are they really bad? Check the Amazon ones here below

I bought the screen protector below. Fit surprisingly well, came in a 2 pack, and makes me not afraid to wipe down the screen more frequently. (I don't see how the screen won't eventually get microscratches all over the place without one) It took about 2 weeks to arrive from China, but was cheap.

There are theories.
Way back when the car was first released there were hints we'd get a version of the Polestar Connect app used for the Polestar 1, which is just a reskinned version of the Volvo On Call app (which was renamed recently). That app was apparently built and maintained by a company called WirelessCar, who was majority owned by Volvo Group, not to be confused with Geely owned Volvo Cars.
Well, WirelessCar was sold to VW in late 2018, so the running theory is Volvo/Polestar decided to change platforms and build new apps and infrastructure starting with their CMA EVs, the 2 and XC40 Recharge (the standard XC40 still has the old app IIRC). Not sure why they waited to pivot, possible they were planning on switching for a while and decided cutting over with the CMA platform was better than introducing something brand new with the SPA2. Either way, the car functionality got delayed, references to the Polestar 2 Connect app disappeared, and the connected car functionality was added to the existing Polestar app (which was just a hub for news and order tracking) in "beta".
The demand for the app was HIGH. Like, angry customers ranting at Polestar that they weren't given what they were promised high, so it kinda seems they pushed the "beta" out to satiate them a bit. Kinda damned if you do, the functionality was buggy and extremely limited, but at least the app was in the wild.
It is miles and miles better than when it first launched though. It's faster, more reliable, more consistent, and has way more features. They still have a ways to go before it's something I would recommend as anything other than a novelty, but they've been making good progress, and they have said many, many, many times the app and digital key are among their highest priorities.
Hey thanks! I wish I had thought to do this post before I started doing the trips. I could have gathered a lot more info (efficiency per trip including things like average speed, temp outside, etc). But such is life. The new trip journal they added to the app store should help with that going forward.
The ones with a Volvo logo are separate, so don't order one of those. This is the one I got: GRWGLE Car Key Fob Cover for S60 S90 XC40 XC60 XC90 V60 V90 Polestar 1 Polestar 2 Smart Car Remote Key https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B09PDV3JMY/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_Z09BMXQRK0ZYDH34MNDG?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Just be sure to select one with the polestar logo. 😊
Yeah that's what I noticed when looking. I initially wanted to go with a dark brushed metallic wrap, but this looked kinda cool and it was incredibly cheap and fairly easy to install. I know I didn't want a traditional woven carbon fiber wrap as I thought it would look cheesy in this type of car. I don't know if I'll keep it, but if I decide not to then it's easy enough to replace.
Here's a link to the vinyl I used:

Everyone seemed to like my 2nd cup holder solution, so……., here is what I use when I go to Joshua tree or easy overnight camping. It fits perfectly and is surprisingly comfortable. I’m 5’11 and my partner is 5’8. We both fit laying on our backs and legs fully extended.
Here is the link of anyone is interested!

I went to my car and checked for you. You can definitely feel the defroster liners, but they're very smooth; I'd suggest using a Plastic Razor Blade Scraper Tool and a heat gun. Don't use a metal razor.
Posting a pic on reddit is a PiTA. It is a tube section about 2.5" in diameter and 12 -14" long. Something like the linked bracket should work with the bracket screwed to the wall and the tube secured by hose clamps. There are also things called tank mounting brackets that would work better, especially the ones that have rubber on the hose clamps but It might take a bit to find one the right size.

What type of outlet? It shouldn't be a huge issue to leave it hanging from the outlet, but you could use something like a picture frame hook, a zip tie, and a velcro cable tie to support the weight.
This is my solution to the extra cup holder problem everyone keeps talking about. Quick and easy. Here is the link for the one I bought.

It’s a great size too. For example, that’s my 20oz hydro flask, and it’s a perfect fit.
If you really like the gold look, maybe use these? A little over $0.50 ea. (Not sure what polestar charges for replacements).

I have a iPhone 13 Pro Max, its also another update that needs to be updated too. If you go to your apps update this app too, maybe this might help. I know it came out in March. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.automotive.templates.host&hl=en_US&gl=US

I use it for the same. Have this cable but only used it once so far at an Airbnb with no accessible outlet near the driveway.

I try not to use it if I can avoid. I always cap the charging at 12 amps to be safe.
I bought the Viofo A129 Pro Duo, the 4K version with front and rear cameras and GPS module. Also has parking mode. I added the HK3 cables to connect it to the battery, so that it can be powered directly by the car. I've not yet decided on which parking mode I'll go with, either G-Sensor based, or continuous recording with lower framerate.
I haven't installed it yet, at my car arrives next week ;)

Looks like they make Level 2 chargers for NEMA 10-30, research they brand though, never heard of it.
I have a P2 on order as well, and I assumed I’d need something like this at home:
https://www.amazon.com/JuiceBox-Electric-Vehicle-Charging-Station/dp/B07ZL4MK8T/ref=sr_1_8?crid=1SNCLB577C8FD&keywords=Evse%2Blevel%2B2&qid=1647908810&sprefix=evse%2Blevel%2B2%2Caps%2C38&sr=8-8&th=1
Are you guys saying that if I have a 14-50 outlet, I don’t need an EVSE? Is there any advantage to having something like this instead of just using a 50-amp outlet?
I did not want to mess with the safety of an extension cord, so I bought this and it’s worked well: Lectron 110V 16 Amp Level 1 EV Charger with 21ft Extension Cord J1772 Cable & Nema 5-15 Plug https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08HHBDQ88/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_276P5WYV4TN1H6NBH6MW?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I got this one and I love it. It is high quality and adds weight to the key which makes it feel much better. Very easy to install as well.

OEM is like $80, there are a lot of suitable aftermarket parts online that are way more reasonably priced. I got this one and it works great: LFOTPP Car Sunglasses Holder for 2016-2019 2020 V olvo XC90 XC60 V90 V60 Sun Glass Case Eyeglasses Storage Box,Interior Accessories Autos Parts (Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07JH3375X/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_VZSYWAP7BHMYDT34A8BG?psc=1
The Polestar 2 included charger does not use the neutral wire for anything at all. You can either replace the outlet with one and leave neutral disconnected, or get an adapter to do the same thing easily.
I'm using the supplied charing cable with the 14-50 plug. It's 40A / ~9kW, fast enough for my needs, albeit a bit short. If the supplied cable was only Level 1, I'd have gotten this one. This is relevant for US owners, other markets may vary.
It was released to the Play Store. Here's a direct link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.polestar.driver.journey.log.production.android
You should be able to install it to the car from there. If not you can search for it.
Side note: I really hope AAOS 11 fixes the awful Play Store app.
My PAK finally works under 1.9! But I don’t trust it. But I also don’t want to walk around with a key if I don’t need it.
So I wrapped my fob in foil and put it in one of these, magnetized to the undercarriage. The old 1980’s hide-a-key, updated for ridiculous EV drivers like me who want to live on tech’s bleeding edge.

I use this cable in a 5-20 outlet, which gives me 16A for charging. It’s 21ft long so it reaches from outlet at front of the garage to my charging port.
Totally agree. Out of all of my cars throughout the years, I've applied maybe 3 stickers and those were on the glass so I could remove them easily.
FWIW I did buy these things and am testing one on the backside of the charger lid - so far so good. It's meant for the windshield but seems to work well on the paint too; hopefully, it will allow me to easily remove the carpool stickers in a few years. I still don't love having to put stickers all over the car but is what it is. One of my justifications for buying an EV was to be able to drive in the HOV lanes while commuting and with COVID easing up traffic is getting gnarly again.
technically it could be possible via the USB-C port... but at that point, rip your CDs, put them on a USB-C memory stick, and use AudioWagon since that already works, unlike a USB-C CD player and non-existent app
The stock Euro Hitch is built well, but it was way too high for my coupler. Paired it with a 3 1/3" drop and it's much better. Depending on the leveling height of your coupler, this setup might work for you as well! Mine needed about a 13" height.
I went with this one for $399. My electrician is coming soon to install it hardwired so I can't speak to the experience yet, but seems to check all the boxes on paper at least. Emporia Smart Level 2 EV Charger | Upto 48 Amp | WiFi Enabled Electric Vehicle Charger | NEMA 14-50 or Hardwired | https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09BP1GM76/
I'll need to check mine, but I think it's ~8' wide. I have wall protectors like these so I don't smash my door into the wall.
What's your current car? The 2's fenders are flared out pretty good so it's narrower at the doors than the widest part of the body.
I'll go take a look and see how the mirrors line up.
did you select the correct Vivaldi? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.polestar.vivaldi.production.android as opposed to the normal vivaldi browser that also comes up if you just search in the play store from a computer?
YABER Jump Starter 800A Peak 12000mAh 12V Portable Lithium Car Battery Jump Starter Pack(up to 5.0L Gas, 4.0L Diesel Engine) Super Safe Car Jump Starter with Smart Jumper Cables, USB Port, Flashlight
Picked this up the other day.
So I see now that I will have to get an extension wire for my Battery Tender and add a pigtail to the 12V my EV so I can plug it in when I overnight charge the traction battery. Currently have the Battery Tender on the wife’s seldom driven ‘vette and it completely revived a stone dead 12v in it. Took like a week to do so, but battery is completely fine. I figure this will somewhat help keep some charge in the battery of the EV if we’re unaware of the low charge. Question, though….is there a lighter socket 12v outlet somewhere in the car? I used to use one of these to monitor the voltage of my crappy old BMW. It would be handy to have to avoid breakdowns like these…..plus the battery jumper like others mentioned..
I bought one of these, placed it in the garage close to the car created a second network that goes straight out through a VPN. The security is questionable, but we live half way up a mountain so the risks are minimal.
I have read that it is just a volvo key layout, so you can buy a nicer case for the key. It's a shame you have to do that, but at least the problem is solvable. For example: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08CY19PRP/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_5ZNTNA0F8KFQNDG6HN2D https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07X52SYSC/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_KVJ03VG7QJCW6M1B3RFG
I had an electrician come in and run a subpanel in my garage as well as that NEMA 14-50 outlet. I wanted it for expansion purposes anyway (more sockets in the garage, more flexibility when I add solar next year) so it seemed like a good opportunity to do both.
You can get the EVSE (the actual "charger") installed via hard-wire if you want, but I figured having the NEMA 14-50 bought me options as far as which way I went and the ability to switch EVSE's if I chose to. I was fortunate enough to get an Emporia EVSE on Amazon on sale last week and I've been pretty happy with it so far... the only down side was the length of the actual cable to the NEMA 14-50P that is only about a foot and a half long and quite stiff. Thankfully it wasn't a huge issue given where I wanted to mount the EVSE, and it actually has a 24 foot cable to plug in my car which is more than enough, so where the EVSE itself is located is pretty much irrelevant. Gives me some nice stats via WiFi and the app, too. (https://www.amazon.com/Emporia-Electric-Vehicle-Hardwired-Charging/dp/B09BG18LVS)
I didn't NEED a smart EVSE, I was originally just going to go with a dumb unit DIP switches and no wifi) but while the Emporia was on sale it was literally a $30 difference to just go the smart route, so I did that.
Volvo makes a Sunglasses holder that goes on the overhead door handle, OEM can be kind of pricy for what it is, like $60, but there are a lot of aftermarket knockoffs, this is the one I got: LFOTPP Car Sunglasses Holder for 2016-2019 2020 V olvo XC90 XC60 V90 V60 Sun Glass Case Eyeglasses Storage Box,Interior Accessories Autos Parts (Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07JH3375X/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_SSEN5XNFNV1TC1KYY9BN?psc=1
Only having the one accessible cup holder is not great, but I personally don’t have a passenger often, so I manage. I need to look in to the 3-D printed solutions that go on the glove compartment before going on a road trip with friends.
You aren’t the first person to complain about the size of the center console cutting into the legroom. I’m also 6’0”, but it never bothered me. It’s one that there’s not going to be a solution for. Go on another test drive and really think about it, if you aren’t comfortable, the car may not be for you.
If you have a 14-50 in the garage then you have options, and it really comes down to what works for you in terms of cost vs. convenience. For the first few weeks of having my car I've been using the Polestar 14-50 connector that came with the car.
My plan was to keep that in the car and, similar to you, buy an additional one to leave in the garage. I was looking at the Lectron option, which is cheaper than the one you linked above.
I'm lazy though and I wanted to be able to pull a few stats from the charger and have it notify me when charging was complete etc, so I've just ordered a ChargePoint Flex that will plug into the 14-50 and hang on the wall. In addition to the stats it also gives me a longer cable and slightly better cable management for when it isn't in use.
Where I have ended up is probably the least frugal (by any metric) option but I leave home at 5am every day and get back at 8pm, so it is also the easiest option that I could come up with and doesn't involve any fiddling around at the start or end of the day.
YMMV but I hope this helps.
