I've been using Pulsar. It's very minimal, but has a similar player interface to PowerAmp (swipe to change song), recognizes my Playlists automatically (I had to import them in PowerAmp), and can use Chromecast (been waiting for PowerAmp to impliment that forever). No EQ, though.

Not the player just the Equalizer, it's an stand alone app you can use it with other players such as Youtube Music.
Omnia can sort by album artist. I like it so much I'm still using it even though Poweramp's fixed - the shuffle function seems much more random. Also no ads, but I bought it anyway for the EQ. https://i.imgur.com/XNzrvZ6.jpg
After trying a bunch of players to use until Poweramp is fixed, I'm pretty impressed with Omnia. Took about 20 minutes to scan 32k+ tracks on my SD card, but no issues with casting, searching or playing. True shuffle as well.
I'm using the regular full version that hasn't updated since January and has worked fine up until today - looks like everyone else is having issues now as well. I'm using Hi-Fi Cast until this gets sorted out with Google.
Looks like if you bought on Google Play Store, multiple devices via single Google Play account but in your case for just a registered apk ...
"Poweramp v3 (build 800+) Poweramp website license is per one device. Limited number of re-activations available – for device upgrades, etc. No Google Account / Services are required. Poweramp v2 Poweramp Full Version can be used on device with either Google Account, Email Account (Google Pop3/IMAP), or Yahoo Account registered on it."

It's worth trying if PowerAmp will work on two devices on one registered email but I'm not sure based on lack of documentation.
Your question is confusing.
Why would you set up a second email between two different devices? You're suggesting needing to buy another copy of Poweramp apk for a secondary device- which I think is your question- but confusingly worded.
Just try and see if activating works on both. They say you have a limited amount of reactivations which you can take advantage of.
Just edit the "info/tags". Open the song. In the playing window tap the 3 dots on the bottom right. The menu that pops up has the "info/tags" on it. Just tap that and then tap edit.
If you are wanting to do several in a faster way, you can use Automa Tag.
I think it's correct, this is the terminal I use, I type "su", give permissions of su, and then paste the command: pm grant com.maxmpz.audioplayer android.permission.SET_VOLUME_KEY_LONG_PRESS_LISTENER
This has worked for me on my devices, after pasting the command, I get nothing, but it allows me to activate the option.
Maybe try this app Wavelet. It's has an equalizer and presets for almost every set of earbuds/headphones. It doesn't require root either.
I haven't tried this myself and I don't know how well it work on Chromebooks, but maybe Syncthing would work?
Just saw how you can't fit all the files on your phone. Nevermind, sorry.
> hi-res output
Should Hi res output always be on? or is it a special music format that utilizes it?
I am using this as my earbuds
