may be of interest to you, i haven't used it in a while but i remember some songs had the stepcharts made out and you could pause it to look at all the arrows
I’m the friend. This is the exact one in case you’re wondering: Muezna Men's Non-Slip Yoga Socks, Anti-Skid Pilates, Barre, Bikram Fitness Hospital Slipper Socks with Grips https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FYC2K9B/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_N27K5EJJEV2M58VYNTNJ?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
(And no I’m not stalking, just spending way too much time on Reddit these days and this subreddit in particular)
Just made a post about money, BUY BULK! or try to time card with friends if you are there for a while and your arcade has time cards :) Not sure if you are a fan of podcasts but shameless plug https://anchor.fm/pumpitupcanada/episodes/Episode-5---Mentality--Mindset-and-Goals-for-Pump-e1vevh mindset is key. Really a good mindset is what you need to improve with anything
Mental stamina!!! So important!! It'll come with time. Also form is very important, I think with bad form 12s would make me more tired than 17-18s with good form. I'd recommend this listen if you have time and want more info Listen to this episode of my podcast, Pump it Up Canada, Episode 4 - Playing Efficient /Optimizing Stamina https://anchor.fm/pumpitupcanada/episodes/Episode-4---Playing-Efficient-Optimizing-Stamina-e1tgdg (sorry to plug this but it's basically all I wanna say but too hard to type)
My arcade didn't have an Ethernet port nearby so I used this https://www.amazon.com/TP-Link-Wireless-Portable-Travel-Router/dp/B00TQEX8BO which is a wifi extender that has an Ethernet port. I hooked it up to their guest wifi provided the cables necessary and told them that part of the cost of your pump it up machine is their online service and you are not getting what you're paying for and that all they had to do was plug this thing in that I already setup and it will be online. It helped that I already established a relationship with them. If they're near an Ethernet port I'd just give them an Ethernet cable for them to plug-in. They just need to open the back and plug it in.
I dont recommend to do things like those because I like to keep the integrity of the original songs intact. But that's just me. Anyways, to answer your question, you have two choices:
1) ArrowVortex: a new chart editor for SM/Etterna, osu!mania, and of course PIU. It's a very powerful tool that I use along with DDReam Studio (see below) for my charting purposes (for SM/Etterna and o!m) Link: http://arrowvortex.ddrnl.com
2) DDReam Studio: I use this even though its outdated and no longer supported by its own devs. To me, its easier to use once you get the hang of but it can be outclassed by its successor, ArrowVortex. I think you can only use stepmania to play from your computer. I never really tried using a dance mat so I don't know how to pair it and stuff, though.

also, you'll need to find and download the songs manually.
cmiiw, sorry!
I've been playing with New Balance Minimus. They give good foot feel while still protecting my feet from the screws from my Cobalt Flux.
Two lower-budget softpads:
I haven't tried these myself and they're not quite Pump-spec - the center panels don't have the slight edge overlap with the corner panels that standard Pump pads have - but they look like they should work great for a lightweight and low-budget home setup.
These are the feet I'm going to order as replacements
Im going with something simple and cheap, i got one of the chicken coup wired fence for like 10 dollars and it comes with a lot of material. You can trim this and attach it to a solid surface (im using wood) with double sided tape or e6000 glue and space out the contact between two with a very narrow cushion, im using 1/16 inch rubber foam i got on amazon. The flexibility with this way is you can cut the shape of the sensor to just about any size, but i just want to run it around the edges

Hi! I'm currently challenging D23 & D24 levels and this is my current strategy:
I play 3 times a week (90 to 120 mins each session).
I have been playing with this strategy since 2 years ago. I played S20 and D18 levels getting A's back then. Now I can play S24 & D23 getting A's.
You can measure your progress with your own scores, if you register a username.
TL;DR;
Warm up with 2 or 3 credits, easy levels (you can get blue or gold S).
Play 2 or 3 more credits, with an increased difficulty that is not boring but not too challenging (you can get A with max 15 miss).
Play 2 or 3 more credits, give your soul but don't injure yourself, know the temporal limits of your body (you should get A).
And you can complement this with physical training. Do the basics at home.
PD. Yes, FEFEMZ is a friggin monster
PD2. I was told i had a weak body (62 kg, 180cm). I don't care what they say.
Im currently StepF2 on a Intel Core Duo at i guess 2.X Ghz, 2Gb of RAM on a 500Gb 5400Rpm Hard drive. Im also using a 1GB DDR5 AMD Graphics Card, which i guess it boosts the whole rig.
My suggestion would be to get a dirty cheap rig with at least 2 or 4gb of RAM, and add a Low or medium graphics card (EVGA GT240 work marvels and its for about 30 usd on ebay)
Now if you can get new components, try to get something with an intel HD 520 (a MOBO that can take the latests skylake processors or so), those works completely fine and eliminates the needs to get a graphics card.
