This is why it is important to set a mobile data limit on your device. It is pretty easy on Android.

Both of these steps are a must if you are setting up a device for someone else.
You can also download RP Samara from the play store. It's a free app that connects to the ringplus dashboard and gives you an accurate status on your minutes, test, & data.
have you tried updating your profile & PRL and restarting your phone?

I went to H2O Wireless. I had a SIM card with a free first month of service I purchased from a seller on Walmart that worked out great. It was $5.48 a few weeks ago but now is $6.48. Still, it includes the $30 plan with 3GB of data for only the cost of the SIM for the first month.
If you've got a newer unlocked phone, the $15 and $20 plans are pretty tough to beat (operates on T-mobile network). You can get an activation SIM kit for $5 from Amazon (prime add-on item). Can't use a regular Sprint phone because their CDMA system required proprietary ROMs. However it does sound like a new program for CDMA BYOD is in the works. List of compatible phones:
