Well for some of us the trade-off of not having the gear tunnel is that we'll gain a third row.
Also if you really want the built-in seat you could get as R1S and one of these. /s
Since we are talking about Latch.
If you have this piece of shit get rid of it, they are a bitch to install tight and harder to remove.
You are welcome.
I wondered about it as well but I’m pretty sure it is not, is just the finish/look of it. I found the same exact hat without the Rivian stickers on amazon. (Yes, they’re stickers)
I have a hitch-mounted step on my Tundra that I use more than the bumper (because the bumper is too high for me):https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004K23KQ0
This is what I'll use on my R1T or R1S when I get one. :)

If you can wait, plug it into camelcamelcamel.com to see when it drops in price. I picked it up on cyber Monday for $129.
Awesome stuff. Just about to do all my Subaru rubber for the winter. Probably doesn't need it, but just in case. Anyone looking can find it here: https://www.amazon.com/nextzett-91480615-Gummi-Pflege-Rubber/dp/B004B8GTQG/ref=sr_1_1?crid=2I28A1KEQFHUW&keywords=gummiflege&qid=1671560030&sprefix=gummifl%2Caps%2C89&sr=8-1
Has anyone tried a MagSafe mount close to the screen like this? I think it would really be nice to have another map option https://www.amazon.com/Spigen-Designed-MagSafe-Compatible-Mustang/dp/B09CG4BZGC?source=ps-sl-shoppingads-lpcontext&ref_=fplfs&psc=1&smid=A2SFKRF5TPZMT5
South Louisiana/South MS is my region, if you have any questions. There are several hotels in Nola with chargers, but if you don't have one planned I marked a good spot last week in Plugshare app: one of the convention center parking lots has a 8kW free charger, an attendant, and is $20 to park from whenever you arrive up until 5am the next morning. Easy walk to the french quarter or garden district. And since it's the convention center there's a rideshare hub right there so you can always get an uber. I would highly recommend this over any other non-hotel parking. Idk if they allow overnight, I forgot to ask.
You can absolutely make the first stretch if you drive speed limit in Conserve with good weather. Idk about the way back, though. If you check plugshare there are a ton of car dealerships with slower level 3 chargers that you can use as backup/plan B chargers (note, most are only available during business hours). For plan C/backup-backup you can find RV parking in Plugshare and use your mobile charger. It's always surprising to see how much RV parking is out there.
I highly recommend adding a TeslaTap adapter to your truck so you can use both J-plug and Tesla destination chargers.
While a tiny bit out of your way, there is a 350kW EA charger at Target in Hammond that I use a lot that is great.
Nice. Think I’ll get these so I can keep the roof rack free of mine and put something else up there
I have the Yakima LockNLoad roof platform rack and these have come in super handy for attaching things along with M6 bolts. I also got these in M8 with M8 bolts. I think they will work, will try them (the KAON ones you linked at M6)

If you ordered the spare tire, then you have one lift puck to access the jack points. Would be hard to rotate tires with only puck, but replacement should be fine.
If the shop doesn't have a Rivian jack puck, they will probably try to lift by the suspension instead, which isn't too risky, but they might try lifting by the battery or something else and risk damage.
You can order aftermarket lift pucks to keep in the car:
https://www.amazon.com/1EV-Aluminum-Rivian-R1T-R1S/dp/B0BHTNCJVL?th=1
I have this one and it works great.
We used this one (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01A1M7STM) on a Cricut.
It is a relatively decent color match. Note that the logo in the frunk is not just a scaled up version of the current logo on the Rivian web site. I had to muck with it to match the plastic molding better. Happy to share the .svg files if anyone is interested.
Really like this stuff too: https://www.amazon.com/nextzett-91480615-Gummi-Pflege-Rubber/dp/B004B8GTQG/
Used it on my Tesla.
If you spray a hydrophobic coating on the lights, no snow will stick. Rust-Oleum makes one but I haven't tried it on headlights. It's great on door handles and side steps. https://www.amazon.com/Rust-Oleum-275185-Industrial-Repelling-Treatment/dp/B00FTOEQUC
There are tons of hydrophobic coatings out there.
I had the Twraps one, but it is just a thin piece of plastic. I knew aftermarket glass ones would come out soon. The one in the picture is glass, but I think it is only one piece. I ended up getting this one, it comes with all three screens (http://3 PCS Real Tempered Glass Matte... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B41CC7Y3?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share)
I can verify those numbers. It was apparent early on that Rivians design allows for the 12v batteries to die under certain conditions, so I found a more mundane device that plugs in and is visible from under the dash. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000EVWDU0/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1. I like your bluetooth solution better! Which product did you go with?

No, that is not the big recommendation. RainX is not designed for that type of a surface and it is not even remotely durable. Here's a MUCH better product if cheapness is your goal. It'll last through winter. A lot of pro detailers recommend it as the best low cost bang for your buck hydrophobic product. I use it on my hood while I'm waiting to find time to get it PPF'd.
https://www.amazon.com/Turtle-Wax-50984-Sealant-Fluid\_Ounces/dp/B07NW9D8FG/
Honestly, I just use this cheap, MagSafe compatible amazon mount. I placed the mount on the left side of the windshield. I run the lightening wire from the 12V situated under the center screen. Not the most elegant solution, but helps me out when I need to use google maps. I hope someone makes a custom mount for this vehicle.

The chargepoint home flex fit into existing dryer outlets. Installation is fairly simple. Just need to mount and plug in, connect it to WiFi. It also goes with the existing chargepoint app that you'll need on the go if you plan on using public level 2 stations anyways
Over in the BMW and VW realms you can buy replacement gauge cluster screens and infotainment screens that run Android but still allow you to toggle back to the original car interface.
My guess is OP has similarly tapped into the dash display video feed and has his android device showing it as a video input via some app. With multi app mode in android he's got android apps running in addition to the video input. Hella cool!
Splitter.
Plug it into the pedestal,.power the camper on one and the EV on the other after setting appropriate amperage limits, of course).
That's not a CD-ROM. That is a round navigation slide rule. (Almost certainly not the exact one I linked to, but similar.)

There was a thread somewhere that the next bigger model also fits. Worth doing dinner research in the Tesla subs.
The main concern is that the plastic panel where you plug in the cake feels flimsy. I have been careful, and it held so far.
You can use a ratcheting cargo bar like this with a net: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000I2SWXC
Or use the ratcheting cargo bar to keep a trunk organizer like this in place in the back of the bed. Put the cargo bar horizontally about 18 in the back of the bed, and it will hold the organizer at the back end of the truck.
Organizer: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08DFLFTBQ/
In fact, the organizer has hooks and straps on the outside ends which can be secured to the cargo hooks in the truck, you wouldn't even need the ratcheting crossbar.
Nice to have options!
If you do keep it and have a lot of adapters for it like I do, you can get one of these Tesla to J1772 adapters and keep your Tesla mobile connector in the truck as an extra charging option. That's what I did. Seems to work just fine.
Or sell it.

Echo those should not be used for booster seats, they can fail unexpectedly in a crash. Should only be used for adult passengers who can't comfortably buckle their seat belt. its the hard plastic/metal on the booster seats that increase failure risk.
I recommend using some foam sleeves to hold the original car buckle in an extended position or even something like this: https://www.amazon.com/MyBuckleMate-Seat-Belt-Buckle-Holders/dp/B00OZ82M4K

Someone on the forums suggested this guy, Alpicool C20 Portable Refrigerator.
It works great so far in my limited testing. Fits in the frunk, gear tunnel (have to tilt it slightly), and bed. Powers off both 120V and 12V. Can cool or freeze (single zone), and has a bluetooth app for remote control.
The best thing is if you keep an eye on the price, you can get it pretty cheap. I snagged it for $190 ($40 coupon), it's only $200 right now.
I have been using THIS and no complaints. I have a Tesla wall charger at home and use the tesla mobile connector at work's NEMA 14-50 and works like a charm
I really wouldn't worry about it. It would be a crazy move for someone to park in your driveway to steal a few bucks worth of electricity. Most houses have exterior power and water already and you don't hear stories of it getting stolen (except maybe by a cheap neighbor). I put this grill cover over mine when it's not in use to help keep it protected and make it a little more discreet. It fits around the cable and stays on even in Florida thunderstorms. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DFXLXHQ
You’ll need a “spray nozzle” attachment.
First Amazon link of something similar, I have no idea if this specific one will work with the Rivian: Air Blow Gun

Any tire shop should be able to help you. There are lots of versions.
Here's one I found quickly.
I installed it like that and didn’t have any problems. I had to widen the hole for the cord and I also purchased cable stain relief.
For $12, try this out - https://www.amazon.com/Magnetic-Compatible-Accessories-Wireless-Suitable/dp/B09NSM4ZZ (not a referral link) . I am using it on my wireless charging pad on my vehicle (not R1). It grips well, goes on top of your existing charger so you still have all your USBs available. For $12, you can't go wrong. One tip is that both the sides have glue on them, so once you get a good fit, use a blank paper to get rid of the glue.

Surface scratches like this can be polished out with automotive paint polish. A power drill attachment like this will make short work of it.
If you’re looking for something box-like, I’m a big fan of using these Greenmade InstaCrates for compartmentalizing my cargo. You’ll still need something to tie it down if you want to keep the crates from moving around.
I know this isn’t exactly what you asked for, but when you mentioned boxes, this popped to mind as the thing I like to use.
I was looking into cargo nets for the bed too but I was going to wait until I actually get my truck before buying one so I can confirm the size. I can find the bed sizes on Rivian's site but I wasn't sure how far apart the pieces to hook onto are. There's a bunch on Amazon that are universal so as long as there is a size that can fit or stretch to fit on the Rivian they should work: https://www.amazon.com/Premium-Adjustable-Universal-Stretchable-Trucks-Black/dp/B078C5ZNFY/ref=psdc\_3147767011\_t3\_B01M8NQK4K?th=1
I was also looking into getting one of those Tuff Truck waterproof bags that also hook into the slots on the bed since the tonneau isn't fully waterproof if I had something that I need to make sure doesn't get wet I'd want this bag to keep it in.

Thanks for the idea, I was just going to get a Tesla connector to 1772 adapter, but adding a paint job is a great idea. Now, I just need to wait for the R1S to arrive.
I don't know about quality or effectiveness, but this one fits OK.
I got it off Amazon, if you care.
It fits as well as I could expect for something not made specifically for this truck. Straps cinch down well and the whole pad feels solid. The tailgate opens and closes like normal with the spring loaded gap cover thing rolling right over the tailgate pad.

Not sure you can get one of the Rivian mobile chargers just yet, but there are many options. For example - https://www.amazon.com/Lectron-Level-Charger-Extension-J1772/dp/B07YXT3HDR?th=1
I wouldn’t recommend the one I got as it holds in position but does not auto position the charger.
I think I need something like this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08Q7XWB85?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_dp_4QRS3FR6XDWS4KB2C6RB . Which has the full array of alternating magnets.
I installation wise I would do the same as I did for this and attach it to the case with a piece of paper between. Then position the phone in the optimal spot for the charger and press down lightly to egage the glue a bit. Then holding the paper down carefully lift the phone up taking care to keep the magnets attached to the surface. Then press on the magnets till the glue is bonded.
Because the one I linked has the alternating magnets and the directional alignment magnet the hope would be that it snaps into place when you put your phone near by.
This one was posted on Rivian Facebook page a few weeks ago.
Many different options on Amazon seem like they could work. here’s one example

With the on-board air compressor, you could look at using an air bag jack such as this one: https://www.amazon.com/Mophorn-Triple-Pneumatic-6600lbs-Lifting/dp/B07WN31QW5/. It might need a few timber cutoffs to use as cribbing to extend the height but should work well.
Some extra details: yes, these are 21s that started with aero inserts. I didn’t like the inserts, so I removed them, but center cap from aero inserts cannot be used on wheels (too small. I know, crazy!). So I measured the hole, bought center caps on Amazon, painted them in gun metal color with plastidip. (59mm(2.32in)/53mm(2.08in) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076KD5JF7/)
And then the guy from the post about ppf sheets (twraps.com) sent me the vinyl logos, that I put on the caps. Looks decent enough for me to finally stop worrying about it :)
(No, I don’t know how the range is affected with aero inserts removed)
waste of money. going to your local home depot would be cheaper. you need 2 x #3 gauge wire. home depot sells it for $1.65/ft. you don't need a neutral for an EV charger, so you only need 2 wires and a #8 ground which is like 80 cents/ft for a total of about $4/ft if you buy individual THHN wire.
the biggest problem is that the chargepoint home flex has a max wire size of #6 so you'd need to step down using the proper connector, like a few of these polaris splice
This is actually a better option than all the cleaning options, if it exists. I got this one before I picked up my Model Y. This is the right answer. There is nothing special about the Rivian wall charger. Buy any other 40 A capable J1772 charger that comes with a nema 14-50 pigtail.
A couple of these about 3 feet apart would work perfect.
But I really come here to say Red Canyon looks amazing!
I’ve personally never used autosocks so I have no idea.
I use peerless auto-trac chains on my Subaru which have been fantastic so far. This is the correct size for 20” Rivian wheels.
But I have no idea if the chains will be destroyed, or if they’ll damage the Rivian.
You sure you're thinking of the right adapter? To plug the Tesla charger into a Rivian you need a Tesla-female-J1772-male adapter which Tesla doesn't make. The adapter that came with your Tesla is a J1772-female-to-Tesla-male which is not what you need to make that charger plug into the Rivian.
The only other difference is that, since you mentioned you Tesla charger doesn't have WiFi that means it's a Gen 1 or Gen 2 variant, you'll potentially lose charging speed. The Gen 1/2 could do 80A continuous but only if A) you wired it that way B) your Tesla has the dual onboard chargers which was an option on early S/X cars.

I have one of these and the sides come up pretty high on my Wrangler when you secure them up onto the rear grab handles. The truck might be different though, I’m still patiently waiting for my March/April window!
You can use an adapter like this one if the charger doesn’t allow to change connector type to 14-30. It will charge at a lower rate. 14-50 uses 50amp, 14-30 uses 30 amps.
After getting in a car wreck and my dog in a soft sided fully enclosed “tunnel”, I’m sold on the concept. They discontinued our model (https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B01M3U4IJB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_98EGB7683W6EWNY070X0 - originally purchased to keep German shedder hair at bay). Only options I’ve been able to find now are tubes which isn’t an efficient enough use of space. So I have been sketching out something that improves upon the many flaws of our original tunnel (function and style). The lack of options and the money people spend on their cars and dogs make me think this is a viable business idea. This isn’t helpful for OP now, but I’m curious of what folks here think.
Wondering if anybody is already making screen protectors for these screens. The dust and fingerprint smudges and glare are all very visible here.
I bought this for my Tesla Model Y in January and it’s like magic, no glare, no fingerprints, no visible dust.

No this won’t work at all. Teslas adapter is to accept a J1772 charger into their port. It’s going the reverse way that you’d need. It doesn’t turn their port into a J1772 which is what you’d need to access Tesla’s non-supercharger chargers.
You would need this Tesla to J1772 adapter
I'm building a home currently and expecting my R1S Adventure Oct-Dec. I picked this 48amp up for $399 so the electrician can hardwire it now instead of paying for a separate trip after the house is done. No Rivian logo but functionality should be fine. https://www.amazon.com/Emporia-Charger-Electric-Hardwired-Charging/dp/B09BP1GM76
Yup that's the product. It's $51 cdn.

I was told by my installer I also needed this thing. But I wonder if that has changed and is no longer required.
