In case anyone is on the hunt for replacement mop cloths for your S7, I took a chance on some new/unreviewed ones on Amazon and they’re pretty good for the price. It’s slightly different material, but similar thickness and fits perfectly. They look a little hastily made with threads hanging off, but I’m fine with that for the price. Brand is Huayuwa HUAYUWA Replacement Microfiber... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0947CBRS7?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
put something under the fan, just tall enough so the bump sensor hit it.
mock it up by putting a trivet or coaster under it, then when you find the right height you can get something nicer if you want
raise it up.
attach either feet or a strip of wood, enough that the bumper hits it and retreats. mock it up by placing paint stirrer or something under there to see how much height is needed.
maybe these feet:

but that chair is pretty weird, might need a custom cut solution
replacement mops are available on amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Roborock-VibraRise-Cloth-Robot-Vacuum/dp/B08XZ73XCJ/ref=sr_1_8?dchild=1&keywords=roborock+s7&qid=1619662222&sr=8-8
i don’t keep the top of mine wiped down since i feel like a vacuum will perpetually get dusty no matter what, but something like this might help to some extent? was surprised to see it was roborock OEM, maybe they are working or more skin designs for more of their models
probably just a remote control type like this one:
https://www.amazon.com/eufy-BoostIQ-Super-Thin-Self-Charging-Medium-Pile/dp/B079QYYGF1
or:
https://www.amazon.com/ILIFE-A4s-Pro-ElectroWall-Self-Charging/dp/B085CB72FB
they don't need wifi, you schedule via the remote control. or start it when you want it to clean
BUT you have to make sure they don't get stuck anywhere (no keep out zones).
The Google Assistant commands (for use with Roborock app) are shown at https://assistant.google.com/services/a/uid/00000058f3b600ba?hl=en-US Alexa is also supported. Neither currently allows vacuuming by room name, but they are working on that.
I bought a filter and brush kit and before that some mop pads on Amazon. If you're searching just put S7 or t7 into the search and you should find what you're looking for.
The mop pads I bought and have been using is
The kit I bought is
I've been using the mops for a few weeks, there is a review saying now that they shrink which I also noticed but it didn't seem to really matter. I have not used the brush kit yet but I probably need to get it out and take a look at it before my return time runs out :-)
Is this the item on Amazon? I see the S6 Pure mentioned by name (on sale), the S6 for full price and this "S65" that looks like an S6, but ???

these types of things:
https://www.amazon.com/iPrimio-Bed-Furniture-Risers-Stackable/dp/B07BWFMPKB
yeah, you'd need 4 inches, so that might be a bit much.
if it bothers you, you could switch to a more traditional bed frame that a robot could naturally fit under.
On s7 i noticed room based cleaning config, so i believe this will be pushed to new updates on s5 max.
Maybe get in touch with flolevac Devs, they push beta updates, i used them to get room management on my s5 atleast a year before it was released on s5 officially.
Honestly, It might be time to buy a new one. I recently bought this kit and it's like a new vacuum.

I have a Roborock S6 MaxV and it does quite a good job at picking up the dog hair. I run it daily on top of a few jute-ish rugs, just like u/r33mi.
Probably depends on the dog; but I have also found this FURminator to be a game changer w/regards to dog hair. My dog also likes/doesn't mind the process... I can pull a fist full of hair off her every few days and this is best for keeping fur/hair off the sofa.
I just wish my Roborock could auto-detect carpet and build its own no-mop zones, cause I move my rugs semi-regularly.
I’ve gotten official parts off Amazon. Takes some digging but they are official. Make sure the seller is Roborock

Personally I'd just do the no-go zone but if you really want to you can buy something like this Cable Raceway You'll have to find one with your dimensions though
a cordless drill and a drill brush make it a lot easier to scrub the shower pan or tub.

and barkeeper's friend powder
My kitchen is 1.8 inches higher than the living room and this ramp did not allow the robot to get into the kitchen routinely. I tried various mats including area rugs
Despite using rugs, the carpet mode would often be triggered and the robot could not make it into the kitchen without difficulty. This proved to introduce mat errors when using a timer
Finally I found a mat with lots of the robot in smoothly and doesn't trigger the louder power 4 of Max mode like a carpet
It is vinyl and does the job great

There are two different skills for Alexa. Roborock Home pairs with the Mi Home app and only supports on/off (and off twice to dock). Roborock Plus pairs with the Roborock app and supports more commands but they need to be phrased correctly.
Any should work. Like this is one, which is a little too short :)
https://www.amazon.com/Nispira-Boundary-Magnetic-Stripes-RoboVac/dp/B00O152S1Y
TBH, if you need that, I would have picked a robovac with more advanced mapping and no-go zones. Why do you need it?
As for doors; Im not entirely sure how it works with the E series. with S series, you need to create a map once with the doors open, after that you can close them at will and it will obviously only clean the rooms it can reach. With the E series you can probably skip the first step and sure, I dont see why you couldnt close doors. If you leave them open I assume it will clean any room it can reach.
Can anyone explain why the S6 Pure retails for $549 (currently $499 on sale) on Amazon? This is cheaper than both S5max and regular S6 which retails for $100 more.
The only difference I can find is S6 pure has smaller dustbin and larger water tank compared to S6.
You'll need a voltage convertor. Make sure that it can handle the max amps of the s7 max however. This should be listed somewhere on the dock or robot - I would go look at mine, but I'm not at home.
I'm not suggesting this exact one, but here's an example of what you would need.
https://www.amazon.com/Converter-International-Transformer-Worldwide-Adapters/dp/B07RXKL6WL
I've spent a bunch of time in Asia, and have used similar items quite a bit.
I currently have an S4 Max and an S7 Max V. I have had house rabbits in the past.
IMHO the rabbit poop will be tall enough that a robot vacuum will squish it, rather than vacuuming it up. You might get lucky and the robot will vacuum most of the drier pieces (either before or after the squishing), but I don't think this will be a workable long-term solution.
The hay will be fine. Big puddles of urine would be a problem, but if the big puddles stay in one area, the tracked urine won't be an issue.
My suggestion would be either disposable or washable puppy pads (like https://smile.amazon.com/Reusable-Washable-Waterproof-Training-Absorbing/dp/B09Q6487G4 ). Put them down in the areas that get the most use, and either toss or shake into the trash and wash.
Rabbits are adorable, and I would love to have one as a pet again, but they are messy little creatures.
I’m taking the risk of using a disinfectant product in my clean water tank, though I’m not comfortable recommending that risk to others. But, a sanitizer tablet in the dirty water tank should be totally safe as long as it’s not a corrosive plastic damaging chemical, I suggest these, it’s what I was thinking about using instead of what I’m doing now:
you dont need the chinese version of dryer dock, you just need to get a 100-220V 5A adjustable input DC power and set it to 20V. i set mine up but unfortunately and water valve for the water line input is missing a washer thus it is leaking, so waiting for home depot open tomorrow to replace it.
Get this one: iRobot Originalteile - Braava Jet... https://www.amazon.de/dp/B07YGMCPFB?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Smells very good, cleans well and I have no issues with my Roborock s7maxV ultra Station and Robot.
Where possible you should try and have the cables attached to the wall around the edges of the room. If it’s unavoidable then you can get rubber covers for the wires which allow “things” roll over it without tripping. Often seen in commercial places like office. Amazon link
ahh i would put it under a wire run like https://www.amazon.ca/D-Line-Floor-Cover-Cable-Protector/dp/B07WGHSHSK?ref_=Oct_d_otopr_d_9716023011&pd_rd_w=chhgP&content-id=amzn1.sym.11e5938d-bec9-4e61-bdd9-b35901d764ae&pf_rd_p=11e5938d-bec9-4e61-bdd9-b35901d764ae&pf_rd_r=Y3ZXB3TQ5P06GCKM5HX9&pd_rd_wg=MSrvp&pd_rd_r=70f3dd92-a82f-4c53-80c1-ba72ef8c874f&pd_rd_i=B07WGHSHSK just so the vaccume cna clean more. cables like that == dusty dirsty area
I Bought mine as a set on sale on the AZM website. I wouldn't think it would make a difference as long as you down load the correct MIhome app. It's the software that makes the hardware run. So I would make sure that if you buy them separately you just need to make sure you down load the app that makes them run together This is the app from the play store.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.xiaomi.smarthome
That's the app that communicates with the whole system. When you get them make sure you put the Robot into the dock with the camera facing to the back of the dock Make sure you put enough pressure on the Robot to click it into place and the voice says starting to charge.
That has been the biggest problem with the system. Once you have it set to run at the time you want it does everything automatically, and tell you what it's doing like CLEANING THE MOP. Ours has run without fail everyday. Good luck
>S6 MaxV
Just to specify - do you add 4 caps of the braava jet (https://www.amazon.es/gp/product/B07YGMCPFB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8) to the water tank that is part of the docking station (if so, is the capacity of your water tank equal to 297 ml?) or directly to the water tank of the hoover?
Hi l0l-338645, I ended up going with something similar to andy2na's suggestion, just a little cheaper: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07794JRC5/r
It's been great. It took all of about 5 mins to setup and has worked flawlessly. I only have the Roborock connected to it (the connection is much slower than the community wifi) but it's gets the job done for around $35.
No, because that isn't the formula for "machines"
This is what I got: https://www.amazon.com/Bona-Hard-Surface-Laminate-Formulation-Concentrate/dp/B094DSPFGF/ref=sxts_rp_s_a_sp_1_0
After reading about all the problems people have had with Bona, I still don't add it in the dock.
I use a diluted solution in a spray bottle.
When I think the floors need something other than water, I'll spray the floors before manually sending the robot on a mop-only session.
This is the app I use with my S6 Pure: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.roborock.smart
If you can see the two options you mentioned, then I don't know if I can help you any further.
Ohhh gotcha. Huh, that certainly is kinda weird. I think IIRC roborock also sells replacement brush covers if you want to try replacing that
https://www.amazon.com/Roborock-Robot-Vacuum-Cleaner-Brush/dp/B07BRGYZ8Y?ref_=ast_sto_dp&th=1&psc=1
You could power it off a universal 72W power supply. https://www.amazon.com/SHNITPWR-Adjustable-Universal-100V-240V-3-5x1-35mm/dp/B08BL4QMGM/
I'm using https://www.amazon.nl/gp/product/B08BWQ4WXY/ since recently in my S7, but the concentration to use it in is so low (5% mix with water) i doubt its doing anything. Gives a bit of a nice smell. I must add i had no issues cleaning with only water, it always dries up streak-free and cleans up nicely.
It is jut a cloth that it is dragging around. I got these and I don't notice any difference with the original. I just swap it out after a run and put it in the laundry pile after it dries.

I use the official omo one from amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Official-Roborock-Multi-surface-Cleaning-Compatible/dp/B09DK9FWB1
I have the MAXV dock and usually put a cap or two into the clean water basin, then fill it up all the way.
This is the maintenance kit that I bought for my S5 Max, and so far it has worked out well. I stick to Amazon since their return policy is terrific. Definitely read through the reviews, though.
I suspect I could use something like this, just not sure what the current / wattage requirements are for the module...
lol. The English on that one is hilariously bad. Also interesting that other pads are "low frequency and slow", also "loud".
I got these, which are less expensive. They seem to basically all be the same source.
Roborock has been ignoring the UK for a while. At least, officially. Though they've quietly made it quite easy to order through German Amazon for UK customers. That's how I got my S7 MaxV+. I can't seem to find a Q5 even on German Amazon. Though there is a Q7 that costs about £530 including shipping as of the time of me typing this. It says £640 on the page, but there's a £128 voucher that you can apply at checkout
Roborock's lacklustre UK availability seems to be due to complications with Brexit more than an unwillingness to operate officially in the UK. Though, with that said, iRobot have been completely unaffected by Brexit as I'm sure you're aware. So I'm not sure what's going on there
Personally,
I use this : https://www.amazon.fr/gp/product/B08X7FC247
30ml for the 3 litres of ultra tank.
After calculation it comes to 2-3€ per month of product.
I've only been using my S7+ for a few days, but I wanted to get a closer look and inspect the bag. I pulled it out not knowing that they self-seal. I had trouble putting the new bag in.
I did a search, looking to buy more bags when I came across this: Cyclone & Dust Bucket
I immediately ordered it. I haven't received it yet, but it's bound to be a major improvement over the bags.
They have been hit or miss recently on Amazon. I was watching for a friend, and they had them on sale for $300 a few weeks ago and she was able to grab one. But they have refurbs right now for $229 ($269 and a $40 coupon) which is very tempting.

Hello OP,
I would try to submerge it in clr, or at least brush clr on the clogged orifices
Sure thing.
I'll upload a couple of screenshots when I get off work.
Have you tried out IFTTT? I used it a couple of years ago for my Neato vacuum, but deleted it when I switched to HA. Maybe theres some integration for the S7 in there?
The idea is that you can’t trigger Roborock directly from IFTTT. But you can use a trigger like https://ifttt.com/google_calendar/triggers/any_event_starts to start a Google Home Routine which might disable vacuuming and then end the routine/run another routine when the event stops. I don’t use routines myself so I don’t know if it supports something like “try to do this once a day but not during this routine” which seems to be what you want.
I'm have 2 australian shepherds and my new dock is getting clogged constantly. I'm going to try this from Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08YY57WY6?psc=1&smid=A22GNJDP2GAZN3&ref_=chk_typ_imgToDp
I'll try to remember to report back on how it works.
Had the same problem. Spent ages trawling endless pages and in the end just took the jump and ordered this one. Have to say the quality is spot on. Certainly not the cheapest but i think it paid off. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08FCFRP8H/
Amazon.de delivers this to Sweden. It does say that’s it was specifically made for the Dyad but it must me the same cleaning solution for all their vaccums?
Soap works through suds. Suds grab the dirt and oil, then are washed away. There isn't enough water or rinse cycles to use this cleaning method with a robovac. It'd either be not enough to do anything, or your floor would be covered in a sticky residue.
There is a Roborock-approved add-in that you can get here. I picked up a bottle a few weeks back, and honestly, I don't think it does much of anything. But it doesn't cost much and adds a nice scent, so I keep using it.
I use some of these around my apartment where I can't hide the wires otherwise, my S7 has no problem riding over them.
Not sure how long you have had the pad but your supposed to replace it every now and then. Also you can use roborocks official cleaning solution which might help.

Less dust pickup. I really just notice that the bin has double the amount of stuff in it for the first 2 runs after replacing the filter. To be honest, any solution that is compatible with spray mops/robots will suffice. Here's an example
Its this sort of plug, like a PSU cable. I bet I can find something, I just haven't spent time searching yet.
Have a pic? What’s about putting “chair leg protectors” on it to make the legs a little bit wider so the robot can’t fit. Something like https://www.amazon.com/dp/B092515785/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_FT9TRRT2XF9BF5JJ2ZVH
Or a rope to stop it going through the legs?

I did some digging online and found some attachments are interchangeable from different brands. I'm waiting for the delivery of Crevice Tool, which should be delivered on Monday. I can post an update later if this fits the vacuum (I'm pretty sure it does).

Amazon DE will ship the S7 MaxV to the UK, there are stock issues at the moment but I expect this will clear up soon once they receive more units. I have recently placed an order to the UK but still awaiting dispatch.

Supposedly Amazon returns is fairly good and shipping back to Germany from UK is relatively achievable, this is untested for me but others on here have had success.

I want to know this too. I got some filters in an accessory pack and they don’t work. I get an error stating I need to put a filter in the machine when they are in. I’d prefer to buy genuine. Sorry ;)
Is this what you use:
I think they do now. They just don't market it well, guessing since bags is continuous income.

Haven't bought it yet, but from the single comment... I think it is a reusable duskbin.
I find daily robo-vacuuming with manual microfiber mopping a few times a week produces better results with no additional effort.
I use an 18" frame and whatever 18-20"microfiber is well reviewed and a good price.
Owning enough microfiber of either type to make cleaning in the washing machine is the most time efficient.
My daughter wants to put "googly eyes" on the robo vac. :)
Will something like this work, size wise? I assume it's fine to put it on the sides, as long as it doesn't block the LIDAR sensor?

It was the Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum Cleaner, the first Roborock product made for Xiaomi. I've heard the S4 is based on this model, but not sure if it uses the same wheels.
Get yourself a damaged screw extractor kit. Very handy to have a kit like this at home. Here's one that's somewhat reasonably priced (although right now, it's at its higher price of $11, but it occasionally sells top about $8.50 for short times): https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B08PCT9WBB/
Never forget checking Banggood. The price is without customs. I must say it's not easy to find something shipping to Canada at a reasonable price.
I bought mine second hand from facebook marketplace without any issues. Maybe that's an option?
I've ran into a similar issue where I need to use the magnet barrier in place of virtual walls but it's not working with the S7. The discussion here has some good solutions but doesn't seem to touch on the question if the S7 can actually detect the magnet strip at all or if they did away with it in the newer models?
Plenty of retailers stock the magnet tape and say it works for "all models" but I found this Amazon listing with a reply to a question from Roborock that says the S7 doesn't support the magnet strip at all. Crazy thing is the description of the listing says it works with the S7. It would be great to have some clarification about this.
I had problems with a swivel chair. My Roborock S7 climbed up and sometimes got stuck. Bought these pipe insulation foam and cut pieces for each leg. Worked perfect. Maybe something like that would work. I don’t know how to post a video or photo here, otherwise I could have shown you. Tune insulation foam

I have been using S7 in our kitchen area where I have an anti-fatigue foam mat for the past 8 weeks and I have not seen any damage or deformation on the mat yet. The S7 does struggle a little bit to climb onto the mat only while mopping. This is the mat that I’m using, ymmv: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Q28H45Z/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_8GP5FDMAHAPQN1FCQV46?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1.
Weird i got the app 2 days ago with new R7. Also checked play store and it's still there. It might be regionally locked for your region or something.

I think you could use an Android simulator like BlueStacks to get the Mi app from the playstore up and running in no time. Not sure if this is what you were looking for, but this is the closest thing I could think of, I hope it helps.
All the European S7's are the same, it comes with a multi-language manual and European plug. You just have you purchase a UK figure 8 cable for the dock.
