FINAL UPDATE
It's live! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sixtostart.zombiesrunclient
Thanks for all your patience, everyone - it's been a long, long 24 hours for our amazing team here, and we've had to put up with a lot of slowness and problems with Google's servers, but we're finally live.
Raise the Gates!
EARLY MORNING UPDATE EDIT:
I grabbed a couple of hours sleep while we waited for Google's servers to do their thing. Currently it's 8am here in the UK, so I'm expecting to hear from the devs very soon about where we're up to and I'm optimistic about being able to give good news when I pop back in.
END EDIT
Hi everyone - Six to Start team member here. To clarify where we're up to:
We've been battling Google's servers for most of the day now trying to get the update to play nice. We're not quite there yet, but we're still working hard after a very, very long day.
We haven't given you an update about the situation this afternoon / evening as we've felt about an hour away from saying "it's live" for much of the past six to eight hours, and we thought that'd be preferable to saying "soon" every five minutes. Right now, I'm still hoping to say "it's live" very, very soon (I'm waiting to go to bed!).
I'm sorry this has been so frustrating for you all, but we're hopeful to have real news very soon.
Thanks again for staying with us throughout all this and being patient! I'll let you know what I know as soon as I know it.
Hello! Do you have 8 minutes to spare? 🙂
I'm writing my master's thesis about sport apps and running, and I need respondents for my questionnaire https://forms.office.com/r/zyAZZjEyKk . It would be great if you could share your running experience with me.
Don't worry, I'm not collecting any personal data, I'm not sharing anything with third parties, it's completely anonymous and the data will be deleted once I'm done processing them. 🙂
At the moment, I cannot share any more information about the purpose of the thesis I'm working on (to not influence anyone's answers) but I'll make sure to post here the results and conclusions afterwards! (Hopefully in February!)
Thank you so much for your help everyone, and keep running!
My standbys are the Plantronics BackBeat Fit headphones. Love them!
Found on the Amazon UK site just for you!
[REPOST: I will be closing the questionnaire soon. If you want to help me with my study, I'd appreciate your input. :) If you've already filled out the questionnaire, thank you very much! <3 Please, do not fill it out twice.]

You're a legacy user. You need to download and keep both apps, but only use the newer version.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sixtostart.zombiesrunclient
Login with your old info and you should have access to everything except the newest season 4 content for free.
I found a really cool app for Mac and PC called iExplorer. (http://www.macroplant.com/iexplorer/)
When you connect your iPhone, you can explore all the files within the ZR app. The radio mode for S2 and S3 is under zombiesrun.app -> Preload with the names "Z2-RA-1.zip" and "Z3-RA-1.zip", respectively.
Just unzip the files, and have access to the complete collection of audio files from Radio Mode during Season 2 and 3. :)
Welcome, Runner. Just a reminder that there is also 8-week "couch to 5K" training programme. Might be something for you. ;)
I hate belts and arm bands, as well as carrying my phone in my pocket, so if it’s a short run I usually just hold it. Longer runs I’ll use a little running backpack like this, which I’ve found to be the most comfortable option so far.
I use an app called 'GPS status' if you open it you can see what your GPS is doing etc
If GPS status is showing a good signal and the app isn't tracking, you'll know the problem is with the app/permissions.

I don't know if there's a similar apple app.
Here's mine:

I've re-run all of Season 2, so am now only getting 1 wrench each mission. Wish there was a way to trade in supplies for materials.
What I use, that works but I don't love, is Blackplayer.
You can play music on your phone, but it doesn't sync with google play, or at least I haven't found a way to make it work.
The site tries to play the .mp3 files via some JavaScript, but the link points back to www. instead of classic. So, if you can read the HTML, you could highlight the "play" icon, get the URL out (e.g. https://www.zombiesrungame.com/api/cdn/v1/missions/M-E06/scenes/01/ for Voice In The Dark), change the www. to classic., and it plays! Change the /01/ to /02/ for the second segment, etc. Voila!
I have been playing for a week, mostly with chases off. but I did 2 missions with it on. I walk when I play the game but when the chase starts i don't start jogging until it says zombies 100meters and i have been able to out run the zombies. Everyone should read the FAQ on the site. It was very helpful on all subjects to the game
Those are some nice bases! Here's mine: https://www.zombiesrungame.com/crankarms/base/
I've got every amenity and my Defense and Morale are both at 100% (despite the fact the stats say otherwise - I've filed a bug and the ZR says the stats aren't displaying correctly). I've also upgraded fully one of every building and added all the add-ons. Sucked up a lot of resources, but now I've gotten every Abel Township achievement: https://www.zombiesrungame.com/crankarms/achievements/
I started with that programm and it was a good choice after I was done it really helped me get started with running

I can't stand things around my waist. I've been using this armband https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B014X312JC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 for a couple years. I'm a woman with fairly skinny arms so sometimes I have to adjust it up when I'm walking and my arm isn't bent, but it's comfortable and it does the job.
My go-to book is "Stretching to Stay Young" (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1623158060/). I try to do their "morning" and "evening" stretches daily, and they also have pre-run and post-run stretch routines. (Of course plenty of routines for other sports and activities as well.)
Sorry, the Zombie Run 5K. Sample Review:
>I've enjoyed using this app. However, I feel like there is a lack of transparency when you download it. The first three weeks are free. After that, you are locked out of the workouts unless you pay. I wish this would've been said that up front. If this would've been promoted as "We believe you'll love it so much, we're willing to give you the first 3 weeks free" and been open about the payments, that would be different. I was outside in the cold ready to run and locked out. It feels sleazy.
I love a running vest. Some are big that can hold water bottles and stuff, but my everyday is the gearbeast running backpack vest. It's lightweight and is just big enough for cell phone, keys, and headphones. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01FMWAGMC?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I really hate earbuds, so I use overear bluetooth headphones like this: https://www.amazon.com/SB220-Bluetooth-Headphone-Streaming-HandsFree/dp/B00CBNG10C/ref=pd_sim_107_3?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=ZNKF5X40EFH90JX3PY3Y
Really great for all kind of sport and since they are not closed you still hear the traffic.
To go a totally different route, I bought a single in-ear headphone a few months ago to test, and it's worked really well for me. Certainly loud and clear enough to hear what's being played, quite cheap compared to other wireless options, it hasn't even come close to falling out once, and the other ear is totally free to hear what's going on. The fit bothers some people, but they work for me. YMMV.
I run on a path near an airport that includes some woods, and not only do I now hear the airplanes, I've been able to hear squirrels running away from me in the brush as I've gone past that I never would have heard with both ears covered.
As it all counts, as long as you're moving around outside / somewhere that GPS can track you. Treadmills won't cut it, you need to be actually moving in the real world.
This is the interval timer I'm using right now. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=cc.dreamspark.intervaltimer
I've used it with ZR a few times when I was doing sprints, and while it does do some strange stuff to my music volume if an interval hits while there's an active bit of story, for the most part it works well for me.
