This is the one I bought for my 21 sport. It is a little long but worked great.

In that case, best I could reccomend is one of these kits and use the ones that look like little crowbars to try to get behind the plate to force the grommet against the hatch.
Why not just use the normal 5v USB plug and put in an inline power switch? That looks like USB C, so something like this:

For steering wheel cover I bought this one. It looks so good and matches the orange trim of the interior.
AUTOYOUTH Car Steering Wheel Cover, Anti-Slip Microfiber Leather Universal Fit for Car, SUV, Truck Heavy Duty, Anti-Slip, Excellent Grip Standard Size 15 inch, Orange/Black https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07GDJ57Z4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_5XCAVAZR19MQMGWA2KX5
Love my ROLA Kayak carriers. These ones look sold out but they aren't hard to find. They were cheap, reliable, and VERY easy to use. I'm a 210 pound relatively fit dude, and it can sometimes be a pain to get the kayaks up that high and angled correctly alone when loading... but other than that, pretty awesome deal! The ratchet strap does make a sailing sound while driving when the wind hits it just right, but its never enough to bother me. Just turn the music up! lol
I did have one moment though, after owning my own 2017 Crosstrek for only four or so months, where the kayak slipped and now I have a nice small dent to show for it. It's kind of like a tatoo or mark of a really good time I guess?

*Edit: Oh, and I do travel with two large kayaks up there at 60 MPH with these bad boys. The wing nuts lock on well but also easily come off when you want them to.
I use a black anodized aluminium frame I got from billetvault through amazon that is clean and looks nice. Has lasted 5 years so far on 2 cars through salty winters with no corrosion so far.
I usually order parts off the subaru parts website as it allows you to set your store. It gives you local locations that do pickup, or you can just get stuff shipped. For low cost items I prefer pickup as they do charge shipping, but sometimes I can get parts shipped cheaper if I order from a wholesale distributor and am ordering a bunch.
No problem! It gets addicting the more mods you start making. Also since you got the cup holder inserts you may as will get this piece that doest come with it, I believe I got orange as well to go with the orange stitching on the car seats.
Mine has a rubber mat, but it’s a 2019, you can probably just buy one online and cut it to fit
Here’s some on amazon for 8$

Just a PSA to everyone on the fence about getting the >$100 auto start stop eliminator often shared in this subreddit, there's now a way cheaper alternative that does not require you to open up the eyesight area. I found this on amazon for the Forester but I can confirm works with the crosstrek:
Bought this & it works perfectly in my 2019
BottlePro - Adjustable Cup Holder... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M028L5E
My cup holders are front to back & I put this in the rear one next to the arm rest.
I bought these things from Amazon. Not the greatest as they move a little (not a lot) but they get the job done. I had to put a small block of timber in the front cup holder to alter the alignment so I could fit two in the existing spot. If you only need one then that won't be necessary.
I tow a 4x6' utility trailer occasionally for home improvement store runs and moving large items around.
Here is exactly what I bought last year for mine, and I installed it myself with the help of my dad in around 45 minutes.
The wiring harness plugs in to the left rear wall of the cargo area under the plastics. I just run the cord out the hatch door with some slack and close the hatch and have had no issues.

Bought these and couldn’t be happier with them
I purchased the same Yakima Skybox 16 for around $560 new less than two years ago so it does seem like inflation has hit roof boxes. That said, it is a great roof box and adds a ton of extra space. I’ve used it many times.
For crossbars I have these Brightlines from Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079K69B5L/ref=cm_sw_r_awdo_navT_a_AWVXS6KK4KKX656XM819
They are the OEM style and have held up great.
I got these for mine last May. Took a while to get here but fit perfectly, easy to clean and look great. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B088683LFY/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_VPE55SZTXFF7G40PYKJS?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

For the Crosstrek, at minimum you need at least class "S" chains, which the ones you linked are NOT. Class S chains means they are low clearance and are less likely to cause any issues.
I got these ones: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0091RCINU/, and they do not cause any issues on my 2020.
It seems you already know this, but you really want to avoid using chains if you can. Any chain has the potential to get knocked loose and damage the whole area around your wheel well, including your brake lines.
It's vinyl wrap from Amazon. Just cut to fit and stick it on. It's a little work, but obviously not impossible. Didn't turn out too bad for my 1st time wrapping something
I got these for my CrossTrek in May. Theyre custom fit to your vehicle. I love em. Ended getting another set for my wifes Forester.
They take a couple of months to get, but totally worth it, imo. Coupled the covers with a waterproof dog hammock for the backseat when I have the dogs in the car.
I have a brand new black neoprene seat cover set that is custom made for your car. Still in the box. They retail for $229.00. I’ll ship them to you for $150.
I hated the rattling of my coffee mug so I bought this: Dorman 41001 Cup Holder for Select Models https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B004WLXRGC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_EJCGCJXH67DB2RW8YY3J?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

If I did it again, I would maybe use a different double-sided tape. They just give you four squares - it would probably be cleaner if you used a double sided tape that could line the outside edge.
I bought a set of MAXpider All-Weather floor mats because I was annoyed that the stock all-weather floor mats wouldn't stay in place. I also wanted some that would cover more area in the driver and passenger footwells, and these really helped. They stay in place and I'm very pleased with them.
They are a little pricey though. But I think they're worth it if you can afford it!

Easy to install, cheap, and I used it to haul alotta stuff to yuma, sequoia, yosemite, mammoth, and kennedy meadows.
Is your iPhone 8 cable made by Apple and is it in good condition? I think your first step should be to make sure you are using a new Lightning to USB-A cable. Apple products are really finicky, and if it’s not an Apple branded cable then it’s very possible it won’t work correctly. Apple USB-A to Lightning Cable Their cables aren’t cheap however.
We use this in our 2018 Crosstrek Limited & 2019 Forester Sport with both iPhone 12 Minis

You can get that done also at any tire shop for the TPMS, its an annoying feature due to dead TPMS batteries. Or you can get tire pressure caps based sensors and just ignore the tires sensors.
Your battery and alternator are in a symbiotic relationship - if one of them stops pulling it's weight then the other one has to do the work of bofh and it will break. If your battery is acting funny it's telling you that your alternator is going to go. I learned this the hard way. Go get your alternator and your battery tested asap - if either one is bad you should definitely buy the top-of-the line offering. You will not regret buying a $300 lithium battery because it will last ≈5 years and an alternator costs more like &3k.
Since you live in a cold place I'd say you should get a battery tender (I have this one but I doubt there is much of a difference between brands). It will test your battery, telling you how well it's doing, charge it back to 100, and keep it there. If it gets really cold you might want the engine block heater subaru to make sure your oil is warm enough before you start the engine.

although still a dust magnet, it wipes right off and I know it's protecting my screen from scratches.
There is a center console cover on Amazon. Fits well and material is decent. Only complaint is the fit around the flap that opens the console. It can get in the way but with a bit of adjustment it shouldn't be too bothering.
Here is the link https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071WMSZGJ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I have something very similar this one on amazon and it works great for when our 2 big dogs are in the car. We just put the back seats down and orient it backwards to make sure they can't climb into the front seats. One likes to stand with his front paws on the center console.
i ordered it today! I just have to figure out if i want a flush hitch for $200 more or just one that sits right under the fender.
i went with this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N1GURYY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
